It was a nice experience here. I’ve been here too many times and it’s good to have sandwich with lemonade. They also serve good gol gappe. Veg biryani with raita is a good combination. Located nearby to diggin gives you a good crowd and environment. Overall it’s a good package.
Mithapur earlier known as Mithas is famous for its gol gappe because they use mineral water to prepare it. The red coloured water served with gol gappas is out of the world and is a must try for every gol gappe lover. We ordered veg sandwich, nimbu pani, aloo tikki, gol gappe and veg uttapam. Veg sandwich was awesome and delicious. Totally worth giving a try. Aloo tikki served with chhole was yummy. Nimbu pani was also nice and uttapam was also tasty. Only the sambhar and chutney served with uttapam were not upto the mark. Service was okay.

Must try-
Veg pizza
Potato in hot garlic suace (crispy)
It is an average restaurant with average service, ambience and food. On my visit I ordered vegetable chowmein and pizza which were good but the presentation was basic also it took a little too long to come as there was a rush at the restaurant. I Don't have any pictures from my visit! 🙈
This place can be used as your last comfortable option as here you'll find your traditional and continental food done in traditional old school basic style. Being near to two big colleges of the Delhi university it attracts a lot of customers and thus has a value for money and was pocket friendly.
The ambience is okaish
Food is okayish
Fyn place to sit and eat street food!with friends!
Service is fine
Overall not too good not too bad
I
Best pure vegetarian restaurant in this area. Serves excellent quality food with great dinning experience. Recently tried their veg Manchurian and veg fried rice and it was really very tasty. Noodles were quite spicy but was good.
Great food in pocket friendly prices. Went there with my sister and we thot we would hog onto food. Guess what! We just did that! Great place to go with family or friends. Service is also quick n friendly staff

Great South Indian food especially masala dosa. The sambhar also has the perfect blend of masala. We usually go there at the weekends for breakfast. Good location too :)
This place serves delicious food and fantastic honey chilly potatoes. The ambience is average. It is mostly filled with the college crowd as it has two colleges nearby.
It's our regular Sunday aloo poori spot chhola bathura spot. The chat here is yummy! Very clean n hygienic place. The prices are also decent. The staff is also very respectful. Golgappa dhokla paper chaat chhola bathura alloo bedmi are some of the things I eat very regularly.
A good place to go for a quiet lunch and dinner with friends and family. The food is delicious and the ambience is up to the mark. The rates are economical and reasonable. A must visit for all the veggie lovers.
It's not just a dessert place as its name suggests; it has a wide variety of food and a nice ambience. There are light snacks in the menu too. We had the mini meal (veg. cutlets, cheese sandwich, fries and coke saw), paneer pakoras and the club sandwich. The dishes are good in presentation as well as taste.

I really like where this family resturant is situated. So quite and a little aloof which is a plus point of this place.
The food is amazing be it any cuisine, italian, chinese or perhaps chaat, everything is so tasty.
Although a vegetarian one, they won't let you miss chicken.
I love their pizza, noodles, chilli potato and chaat. You can order anything, no recommendations and it will turn out to be good.
The best part is, the gol gappa water is a mineral water preparation!
Coming to the cons, there are harldy any.
The pizza per say may take a long time and there are no signals in your phone the moment you enter.
They have an outdoor sitting which you must prefer if the weather is pleasant.
Recently was on a go and picked up their paneer pakoras and kachori. Both were tasty especially the kachori. Not that "khasta" though.

Liked the place too much. The best thing is the food starter are damn hot and ummhh so tasty ,panner tikka .Best place to be with family in delhi .
Awesome food, prices are reasonable and good quantity, although the seating is bit less comfortable but you mind that while enjoying your food. The service is good too and can be visited regularly .
A nice and cosy place. Beautiful location. On the ground floor is the sweet shop. Restaurant is on the first floor. Choice of Indian, Chinese, South Indian. Paneer tikka was too good with full of flavours. Dal makhni was also good. Pizza should have some more topping. Altogether, good food and good service. 👍
Visited this place after a major event and we were starving to death. A friend who has studied in Kamla Nehru suggested this and we just went in. It starts with an open area with some space to sit and you can then take few stairs to get inside. It is not a huge place but is good for family or group of friends. Serves mostly Indian food and is pretty much good with it. Though they claim it was better in quality when it was called Mithas. It is completely vegetarian! So don't have the expectations to find a leg piece there. Also, awesome Jalebis! A good deal for pocket as well.
I had south Indian platter with my wife yesterday, it was fabulous as usual as always since my college days, ingredients was extremely fresh which gives me mouth watering taste. The thing disappointed me was the person standing on cash counter was not hospitable at all, no smile on face, no warm gestures and even he was yelling on his staff in front of the customer. You need to work upon this and the rest is superb Rajneesh Ranjan
simple...sober...n a family restaurant...

Visited Mithas with a friend post college on Saturday. Ordered a Shahi Paneer Combo, and a Chill Baby Corn. Both dishes were great in terms of quality and quantity especially considering the price. The Shahi Paneer was served with a decent portion of paneer, 5 pieces of naan and a side of sliced onions. The Chilli Baby Corn was generous. Mithas' ambiance was the usual college canteen atmosphere, and the service was quick, with the servers being very friendly and attentive.
Overall, 4.5/5 for the food, 3/5 for the ambiance ( they really need to get rid of the 80's restaurant atmosphere) and 5/5 for the service.WHAT I WOULD RECOMMEND1. Shahi Paneer Combo2. Chilli Baby Corn
WHAT I WILL NOT RECOMMEND
1. Nothing!
A good healthy place to have quality vegetarian food. I loved it since my college days. The ambience and service is tried and tested which turns out to be the best. Veg spring rolls, Aloo chaat in olive oil were two different snacks item which were of unparalleled taste. I am thoroughly satisfied and this place is a must visit for all Kamala Nehru College n Gargi College
I have been to this place many times since childhood but it's food never disappoints me. I love my margarita pizza and Amritsari kulcha platter here. Quantity of food per its price is enough for 2 people. Economical and yummy food are 2 things which come to my mind when I think of this place. Do try this place if you have not yet.
This place has a special place because of the memories created rather than the food ate. I know i speak on behalf of all college girls of that area that such an option was needed near the college to survive and it has done a great job. Absolutely love their sizzlers till date and still try to visit whenever possible for a quick break. Cheers.
This food joint across college was a getaway from lectures during college days.
It is low on pocket with some amazing honey chilli potato and North Indian food to grab.
The place was called Mithas earlier. Not much has changed except the name. Excellent vegetarian food, great service, and the prices are reasonable. Do try Amritsari Kulcha with Channa combination, almost enough for 2. Another item on my favourite list is Sizzler.

Hit the follow button for food ! You are on zomato , you better follow me for food :P
If there is burger trail in New Delhi. It should start from Mithas ! Situated in south delhi , mithas has all the secret ingredients to become a family favorite !
Now known as Mithapur ! A visit is a must !!
Oh yes - PURE VEG RESTAURANT PEOPLE !!
Ambiance - The ambiance is of a sweet shop to be honest ! Nothing fancy , fixed tables and old interiors. A family or students from gargi are all over the place. A family outing or a day out with friends is just right for this place.
Food - Burgers ! The Paneer one specially is huge as my face !! In a time where fork you and smoke house deli are clear winners in the burger game. Mithapur has been a contender ! The burgers are huge. messy and very tasty ! Dhokla , gol gappas and raas maalai are among other things which are very tasty !!
Service - Very fast and to the point !
A place which is super friendly to the pocket and serves good food ! Must visit ! It does not blow you away but it makes you want to have more !!

Good vegetarian restaurant.
Ambience is good.
Crowd is mostly of college students.
Always full.
North Indian food is very good along with cheat.
Yummy golgups the size of mini frisbee!! We ordered 2 plates but I think got 2.5.. So definitely very generous in portions..their Papdi chaat is also yummy!! Super crisp with all the deliciousness of a yummy chaat. Their dhoklas are also super soft and juicy!! Very convenient delivery option for chaat or if ure around.. I would definitely go here for some yum chaat!!
Quaint little place and a frequent haunt of college people, this place is perfect to grab a quick bite or a proper meal, depending on your mood and wish. The menu offers quite the variety. The Bhalla papri chaat was very nice. The golgappa was nice too but had too much of red chilli powder. Nice place over all!
Just tried the chaat here , it was excellent...
So the rating 4 is for it.
Yet to try the main course....
One of the oldest cafes , this place is a hit amongst DU students. Just located opposite to Gargi College , it is always hustling and bustling with young crowd. They have amazing gol gappas and south Indian dishes.
This place exceeded my expectations. The staff is polite. The service is good. The food is delicious and very reasonable. We ordered from the South Indian cuisine—Idli and Uttapam. Everything down to the Chutneys was yummy. To top it, their tasty tea was a blessing on a cold day. Worth your every dime.
This place is just more than your average sweet meat shop although not much hyped. Their mineral water gol gappas are totally to dig for.. Tried their matar kachori which was awsum and lastly their sizzler was by far the show stopper for me as it was very finely done with the right amount of veggies and the right taste.. Wonderful experience..Service also was appreciable as they were not interfering considering the amount of time spent there..Ambience a bit better then haldirams/bikanerwala likes i guess..
Pocket-friendly place with good food. Food menu offers you with a good variety. The portions are generous. The place is not huge so it looks a bit cramped up. The hygiene factor has improved considerably since the place has been revamped. Go-to-place for quick grabs. The service is quick.
A decent place to go to with your family. Good taste, Good quality and Good service. It is an inexpensive place to eat, offering a wide variety from North Indian to South Indian, Chinese. It also offers outdoor sitting along with indoor. There is also a small counter of pan right outside the restaurant.
I had visited this place after a friend's recommendation .
Its a very nice place to visit . The ambiance of the place complements the food very well as well as the service is pretty good.
Its good place for veggies . We have ordered Mithas's Special Sizzler which I found interesting and delicious .
It has a Small Paan Corner just outside the place that one must try after a good dinner . Must visit .
It was a very difficult decision to go to mithas - esp with the oh so inviting diggin right next to it. However since this was a family visit and we had a kid with us who wanted to have the dosa we decided to give mithas a shot
The place is located bang opposite Kamla Nehru college. You def cant miss diggin and its right next to it. Apparently both diggin and Mithas are owned by the same guy.... Good move i must say
The place has an outdoor as well as indoor seatings. We tried the outdoor seating as the weather was decent and it gave a little more lively feel than sitting inside.
We ordered the plain dosa, sambhar vada, pao bhaaji and the cheese margarita pizza. The sambhar vada - though decent had small sizes of vada. However to compensate the size they offered 4 instead of the 2 large vadas that you usually get.
The dosa too was quite crisp and well made. Im not a fan of thick dosas and like mine to be thin and crisp and it was just that. The pao bhaaji was good as well. The pao buns were well toasted and you could taste the butter in each bite.... The bhaaji was spicy and diff from the usual regular bhaaji.... One of the better pao bhaaji's
The cheese margarita was quite decent too. It was made on the traditional old school pizza base and the sauces and the cheese was quite nice. The taste somewhat mirrored the classic cheese pizza at nirulas but im not complaining as is def was to my liking
All in all.... The food was quite up to the standards.... Well made food.... One negative though - and this is a very personal choice and opinion - was that it didnt have non veg :( :( the place could have been a perfect score if they would have served non veg as well
We didnt try the sweet shop but from what iv heard - its pretty neat too.
One negative of this place - is that they do not have a toilet of their own. You either need to go to a toilet outside diggin or use the one at diggin on the first floor.
This place, in my opinion , is not an out of the world experience but a good overall package.
To sum it up id recommend this place as a try once atleast when you around@ - and def try the outdoor seating.
A special mention here to the guy who waited at out table - very courteous, warm and friendly - made our experience very comfortable indeed
Old school halwai. Impeccable quality. His palak paneer and mix veg were simply superb. I would also reccommend his gulab jamuns and barfis. Very reasonably priced too. Warning: Hugely popular with the girls from the Gargi college so quite crowded at all times.
Big portion. Very filling. Crispy. Some wedges were a bit too crisp. I personally want them to be tender so they can easily absorb the sauce. Without a doubt, they were really tasty, well balanced and generously seasoned.
Lastly, instead of dicing the potatoes length wise like the usual french fries I would have personally preferred them to be a bit thicker.
Best chilli panner burger I ever had. It's a must to try it out. Nice environment, fast service and reasonable rates. Overall a good experience.
Mithas in Anand Lok is right opp. to the gargi college the ambience is nice and the prices are also reasonable. We ordered pav bhaji(all time favv),spicy veggie pizza and chilly garlic chowmein. The quality was excellent and the quantity was ample. The food was brilliantly cooked. All in all it was an amazing experience and would like to go again and again to try new things. The food was so yum that I concentrated more on eating and less in clicking pictures.
Ambience-3.5/5
Food and service-4/5
Located just opp. hustle nd bustle of gargi collg.,mithas has quite a grt ambience with snacks stalls outside its outlet. There is quite a variety of options when it comes to their veg. curries nd breads with paneer itself being offered in 5-6 choices nd their tikki is one thing u should definitely try out which will savour ur palates for sure. One thing which might pose a hindrance is their sky rocketing prices ....higher than even those of renowed haldirams nd bikanervala in this field
Ambience of the place is really good..but the food was really oily when visited first time..we ordered chilly potatoes and dry manchurian.. taste was okay..second time i ordered noodles which were good enough... better than previous time..but improvement is still needed.
A value for money restaurant. Happen to find a lot of youngsters coz it's located opposite to the gargi college. Purely vegetarian restaurant and I found the food to my liking.
Have had very fond memories of mithas right from my college days. Recently I paid a visit to Mithas to relive my college days and to my utter surprise the quality of food and the behavior of staff still is amazing. We had golgappe, chowmein, grilled club sandwiches and to top it we ended up with their ever so amazing cardamom tea.. loved it!!
This place serves the purpose. If in South Delhi and you need to grab a quick bite, head straight to Mithas. Hands down the best Chilly Paneer I have ever had. I live far from the place but should there come a time when I crave for Chilly Paneer, I would be here, no doubt. Rest of the menu items are good too. Indian snacks are tasty and the service is also very quick. The tikkis and chaats are spicy and taste real good. The ambiance is a bit compromised but that is acceptable provided the type of joint this place is.
being a former student of gargi college, this place was my "adda" for three years, food is excellent here. i have tried almost everything from the menu
musts: grilled sandwich, chilly paneer burger, spring rolls, chocolate paan
taste: very good
service: generally quick
quantity: good
staff: a little ignorant and careless
interior: small and congested; over crowded sometimes
location: always dirty outside the restaurant
cost: satisfactory
i dont know if gargi students get extra discount now also.. :) i used to get 10% off through my college id..
It's a NYC place to go... After hectic and long college lectures... Honey chilli potato and cheese chilli are amongst the favorites... Sizzler is NYC .. But needs little improvement..!!!!
And not to forget the special student discount for the gargi and kmc students

Mithas in Anand Lok is right opposite Gargi and Kamla Nehru college. It is a really nice comforting budget family restaurant. Mithas is really popular and has been reviewed many a times.
I loved their dal makhni and pudina parantha platter, amritsari kulchey with cholley and chilli mushroom.I would suggest not to go for Tandoori platter.
Except for Paneer Tikka there was not much to enjoy in the platter. The food served is good when it comes to taste, though the staff is bit arrogant.
True to its name this place also serves some really amazing sweets.
Food:4/5
Ambience:3.5/5

Overall: Recommended
Never had the chance to sit at have any thing to enjoy but I have always preferred to have sweets from this place. Consistent with taste and quality. Very hygienic and tastefully prepared. What I miss is the warmth in service. Very business like and without emotions. Those who missed out on observing this aspect may pay little more attention.
Nice alfresco seating. Hygine is an issue. Food is average. But this is only budget restaurant in vicinity of Gargi. Overall staff and management is reasonable.
For me Mithas would always hold a special place as it's so much more than just a restaurant. Located bang opposite my college we've spent 3 years going here every other day with the best of memories and enjoying the special "students discount". From the golgappas and aloo tikkis to the sambar dosa, tried and loved it all :) Students must try this place,(if they haven't already!)..
It is the cham cham and chena murgi that gets me going here. Part of childhood memories, this place offered only sweets and the basic evening snacks like samosas and pakoras back then. Now of course there is a huge advancement when it comes to more options on the menu like various platters and meals. A pretty costly affair for sweets, but awesome nevertheless.
If you have a sweet tooth, make some space before you head here. It is actually a sweetheart's paradise.
Budget restaurant serving delightful food...with a wide variety of options to choose from inc Indian, snacks, chatpata n typical Delhi eateries
Aah those 3 years well spent at the college (ops at mithas).. yes that is what we did we went to mithas instead of going to college... Its a small but a happening place in the heart of South delhi... serves great sandwiches, pizzas and dosas... what's more it a pocket friendly place which makes it apt for their target customers i.e.; students...
Stands by its name entirely! We ordered from Mithas , apart from the fact that it is value for money, the food was served super hot , just as it should have been! Nicely packed, the PAv bhaji tasted yum, and so were the noodles. I was apprehensive about the sand witch at first though even that turned out o be decent! Though they say it could take anywhere from 40 to 50 mins but the delivery took place within 30. An amazing experience I won't give second thoughts about ordering from this place again.

I just love this place whenever I go there.. Yes Its Pocket friendly as well as good food with courteous staff. Everything is yummy here north India to south indian .. Or pizza Chinese. For me its a good option whenever u want to give a good treat to your family or relatives.. The only thing I didn't like is the ambience could be better..at least the sitting arrangement in d ground floor. Its bit congested. But food is awesome!!!
Ambience is not the highlight. But it can be considered a good place for vegetarians. Food quality is good. Locality is good. Slight parking problems. Reasonable price.
Very budgeted place to be and most important .. Pure veg .. So all you veggies may visit and njoy the authentic both Indian thali.. Cheers !

The only option besides diggin in this area between two girls college. It serves only vegeterian food but with a great variety. I have been to this place a number of times. Tried their crispy chilly baby corn which is lip smacking. Apart from this, their margerita pizza, Chinese sizzler, veg garlic chowmein, chilly paneer, veg biryani, masala dosa, maharaja thali. Their maharaja thali is the best which comes with a Gulab jamun. It serves two people and I really good. I even like the dosa. It comes with three chutneys. Really yummy. Good place to satisfy your hunger.
The place is good.. Pocket friendly and the pizza and burger is good enough. They provide you with good quantity. But the drinks are not that good.
This place is near to my college so I have visited it countless times. Though the restaurant is pocket-friendly but its not my favourite one because the food here is not that good. I found only the dosas and the pizzas good. The worst one is the special sizzler which they serve. Its pathetic. I wish they would had served non vegetarian food also.
Delicious and good price. Went here 3 times in 2 days cause I was so hooked. Service is quick and efficient. Big range of desserts as well
It's a vegetarian multi cuisine restaurant. Food is good but the ambience is average. They also have retail sweets outlet. The quality of sweets is good.
This place has a great ambience and great food ..Things that should be on the top of the eating list would be Golden fried baby corn and pizza ..cheers
Nice restaurant.... Pocket friendly..... Superb delicious food..... Maharani thali and honey chilli potatoes are a must have..... Have a great time
Nice tasty food, best place to hang around and have a quick bite and Coffee. Friendly staff and good service.
The sandwiches are super tasty and the sizzler is good too! The place is spacious! thumbs up for the location and ambiance!
It's a decent place to have a meal or fast food and the prices are not gonna make any hole in your pocket either.
I loved the delicious food served here... Nice n clean
Lovely place, awesome food and nice aura. In front of Gargi college and next to Diggins. One of my favorite
The food and service bare good here
Chinese food is very good here.. especially if anyone loves chilly potatoes
Tasty food at very decent price.
Nice place , nice food , without onion food is also there #letsguide
