New Raja Sweets is my family's go-to sweet shop. We have been living in Dwarka for over 10 years and getting our sweets from Raja since the beginning. Their food is also good -- veg noodles, pani puri, samosa, kachori aloo -- are our regular orders here. They have recently also opened a branch in sector 11 with a more elaborate food menu and sitting space which has become our favourite vegetarian food place.
*AVERAGE DINE IN EXPERIENCE*
You can always choose this place for family parties or a small get together. Although seating area is not very spacious, but waiting for a few minutes is worth it as they serve delicious dishes😍
We ordered- Masala Dosa, South Indian Platter, Special Veg Thali.
Taste - 4/5
Hygiene - 3.5/5
Ambience - 4/5
Service - 5/5
Food quality - 5/5
It's better for take away than to dine in here.
If you want to visit a decently priced hygienic yet a place which served you utterly delicious indian snacking delights raja is the best place to go. Raja does not compromise on taste, uses good quality ingredients for creating the scrumptious delights. It is located amidst the hustle bustle of sec 6 market, which is the central shopping complex for most of the residents living in dwarka. Although there is a good competition available for raja in the very same lane, namely 2 varients on bikaners, still raja sweets has been consistent with their claim for serving the best amongst its competition. Price wise one might feel that Raja is much more expensive than its competition, For eg: Their samomas is priced at Rs.12 where as the other competitions serve it at Rs.10. Still taste wise one would want to give the extra bucks which raja is charging for the quality, taste and quantity which they serve.
Raja Sweets has expanded its counter recently recently, they have included many more indian snacking ranges like Ram Ladoo along with other chaat options.
Not only indian snacking ranges but they have also included, western dessert options in their menu, like doughnuts, pastries, cakes.
Almost everything that you taste from Raja Sweets Gurantees to be delicious, however our personal favourites are Paapdi Chaat, Samosa, Gajar Ka Halwa, Milk Toast, Ram Ladoo, Emarti.
The hygiene maintainance of any Indian snacking place or out can be judged by the way they serve golgappas, and in case of Raja Sweets the person who makes golgappas wears gloves and covers his head with hygiene cap, they do not dip their hands in golgappa water but they fill the golgappas from a tap which is specifically filled with jaljeera water and sweet chutney water and the tankers are transparent hence you can see the cleanliness levels.
However, the prices are definitely higher than other chaat or Indian snacking places but quality and taste wise Raja Sweets beats the other competitors.
It's an old sweet shop in dwarka. This place serves the best chowmein. I personally love their chowmein. 😍 Not just chowmein you can try anything you want to and they will never disappoint you.
This place is pretty famous in dwarka and all for a reason. It offers amazing indian delicacies and would highly recommend this place for your sweet tooth or desi cravings
Most famous sweet shop in dwarka. One of the oldest. It has maintained it's quality n hygiene since the start. It's food is yum , be it golgappe or sweets !
New Raja Sweets is a very old and wellknown sweet shop of Dwarka that is located in sector 6. Great place to have evening snacks and chaat with your family and friends. Almost all variety of sweets are available here. I tried aloo tikki and bhalla papri there, that are very delicious in taste with affordable price.
This was the first time I ordered from here!
And to be honest, chole bhature were amazing and mind blowing!!
Found my new favourite place for chole bhature!! :)
Awesome food, great taste 👍 one of the best chat in Delhi. Total hygiene and perfect salts.
Awesome ambience and great Servive. :)
Must visit place for snacks and light food
This place is always ready to serve you hot and delicious desi chinese, south indian and north indian.
They are hygienic and tasty.
Their street food is the best in sector 6 market of Dwarka.
A nice sweets shop with lots of indian street food. I highly recommend to try the noodles from here. There are lots of options you will surely get a good time over here.
I went to this place and get samosa and kalakand packed to have with tea . Samosa is good but I will not say that it was very good coz better samosa sellers are here in dwarka than him.
Kalakand was perfect I would recommend everyone to have it here . Other sweets we're also looking good here. .
Overall a good experience for me I will definitely gonna try this place again
Nice place to visit with family, india sweets food is very good, i tried noodels also, make an impack on quality, seems vey good to have breads with dips, which is very interresting.Have nice staff also, seems very well designed.I also try rassgulla which better than others in this market.Once i tired gull guppa better than others, seems nice place for getting deepawali sweets.
Specialties - Jalebi by far is the best in class. Samosa, Rasmalai, Lassi, Gulab Jamun. All namkeen items are also good quality. I have been a fan since childhood. Good quality !
If u are in dwarka, there is very little probability that you wouldn't know about this place. It is your one stop shop for all your sweets, I absolutely love their chats and all my jalebi cravings in the cold chilly weather are always fulfilled by them.
I just love its food, either it's samosa. Chewmine, aalo tikki , chole and whatever it's gr8.. the taste is too good. I go their every weekend
This review is being written for their new Zomato unlisted store in Sector 11 Dwarka, however, it aptly applies to Sector 6 store too. Tasty food, specifically their veg chowmein is highly consistent and tasty. The store buzzes throughout the day and gives confidence of offering hygienic food.
Popular among the old Dwarka residents and commands strong business. There are certain behavioural issues with their staff at both the stores but that can be avoided during your brief interaction with them.
So I guess this is the king of sweet cum snack shops in Dwarka. They have two to three branches in Dwarka offering great delicacies. I have tried their chole bhature, lassi, aloo bedmi, samosa chaat, chowmein, jalebi and kachori. Everything tasted finger lickin good. You can consider it of the same level as Haldirams and Bikaner wala are. It's a good option to have evening snacks or morning breakfast. Their is no compromise on the taste and quality.

Awesome Desert serving sweet shop located#Dwarka.I tasted the Laddoo here. The Laddoos are made in Desi ghee and a apt delicious. There is a wide variety of sweets to choose within.I really liked the place very much and this is also a very busy outlet.
I always having breakfast from this restaurant quality of food always found awesome and their service is also best.
The only disappointing thig is staff grooming as they are not professional have to work on that.
Keep it up.Best of luck
Absolutely love this place for evening snacks. Dhokla is soft and fluffy with a nice tangy tamarind sauce. Samosas are served and fresh. For jalebi I will say it is the best I ahve had in Dwarka..thin and crispy just the way I love it.
A good place for Indian Street food and sweets. We brought home a bunch of stuff when we had guests. The samosas were one of the very good ones I had in a long time. Though I myself didn't drink the lassi but my friends were all praises for it.
Overall all the Indian dishes and sweets were both fresh and tasty.
The same cannot be said for the pastries though. That's not really their strong point.
I'm living in West Delhi from past more than a decade and this sweet shop is one of the oldest and best shop serving fantastic quality sweets and snack. Go and check out 👈😍
Its been 10 years we are buying from here. I am never disappointed. Starting from sweets to variety of chats..everything is delicious. This place is highly recommended.
New Raja sweets is an all vegetarian sweet shop with the spice of street food. Their Ras Malai, Barfi and Pastries are most assuredly their most demanded desserts. Their Doda Barfi, undoubtedly, is a must try.
People from around the district gather here majorly for the street food it offers. Their Gol Gappa stall is perpetually occupied with customers. They also serve early morning Chole Bhature which costs higher than Bikaner ones and are average in taste.
I would recommend this place only for sweets.
This is quite an old shop in dwarka sector 6 market. Have eaten few things before as well but were very average always. I tried their khasta khachori this time, the khachori wasn’t bad and the aloo sabzi was extremely tasty, loved it totally. It was piping hot and perfect for the weather.
Then had their paneer jalebi, which was equally satisfying. Could have been better if those were warm too, but it was just fine.
This is a sweets cum snacks shop located in the main market of Sector 6, Dwarka. Since it is located in the Market, parking is not an issue. It’s a take away type of a place with no sitting capacity.
I went there to take chole bhature for Sunday brunch. You will find it as a traditional sweet shop with not much fancy around. Not many efforts have been placed on displaying the products creatively.
The staff is amicable and works with a smile. The choley bhature tasted nice. The choley were thick and masala was in apt quantity. The chilli and potato packed along add to the taste. The pickle was also very nice.
They also serve kachori, samosa, tikki, chowmein etc. And the variety of sweets is also large.
All in all I would recommend this place for your Sunday brunch or your evening snacks or your festive occasions to be sweeter.
Foodie_Biker
Must try items:
Gol gappe, singapuri chowmein, poori sabzi breakfast item on Sunday morning
Dhokla and patties are fine too , one of the best in this locality.
One of the best place to buy sweets in Dwarka, they provide variety of delicious sweets.
Sponge Rasgulla and Malai Toast are my favourite ones.
Affordable price and sweets are worth it.
Bought sweets from this shop last week to celebrate a function. Sweets were so tasty as well as fresh.
Had bought
1. KajuBarfi
2. MungDal Barfi
3. Doda Barfi
4. Gulab Jamun
Everyone loved the taste of sweets.
This is a standard place to go to.The food is never delivered on time. But the food quality is good. One must try the same. Will visit again in future
Bought sweets from this shop last week to celebrate a celebration in office. I bought KajuBarfi, MungDal Barfi etc. Each team person loved the taste of sweets.
Frankly speaking I love this place specially for the chowmein, its amazing, you can even customize it as per your want without altering its authentic taste. Apart from chowmein all other items are average in taste but I dont care bt it. I just love this place and prefer to write about nice places which I like as I am new to zomato.
Same quality, same taste, year on year, no change, same location and a lot of nostalgic value to the place. That's the story of New Raja Sweets, I also love the peripheral food items here such as Chowmein and other things apart from their hardcore sweets.
But if you are a frequent local to Sector 6 market of Dwarka, then you must try their snacks and sweets.
Went to this place on Sundays.
Actually good place with good food.
The food is amazing.
Sweets are served here and it's delicious.
Love to visit this place again.
If you talk about the main market , I guess this place serves the best street food . They start with serving chole bhature and aaloo puri early morning and do so till late evening . The gol gappe are another great choice . If you like chow mien which is prepared the Indian away then you can also try that . The sweets are fresh and they get a new batch every morning . This place is pretty popular and pretty crowded during evenings .
Satisfying your guilty pleasures is what this place does good.
When not counting your calories, do try their chole bhature and other snacks.
Raja sweets is really popular in dwarka for its economically priced sweets. It gives a tough conpetition to evergreen and aggarwal. The sweets are tasty too. They should really work on their hygiene, otherwise the food quality is good
I have been buying Sweets from this shop for years now. They have maintained a very good quality. ..................................................
Nice place to pamper your sweet cravings...golden ghee laced laddoos during diwali are recommended apart from all other tempting varieties of sweets
A bit overprice but at the end of the day, its worth it. They have a wide variety of sweets and they are delicious. Kaju barfis that they offer are some of the best i have tasted in delhi. Lassi is also sold which is sweet and heavy and loaded with "malai".
Among savouries their masala dosa, sambhar vada and chhole bhature are exceptionally tasty. I am a regular visitor to this outlet whenever i am in dwarka.
Visit this place for sure if you wish to immerse in the aroma that encapsulates the place with its savoury dishes cooked afresh and the feast your eyes with their range of sweets. Popularity of this outlet is evident by the crowd thronging at this place. Do pay a visit here!!!
If you need to have breakfast Good place to have Bedwi Puri , chole in the morning and Jalebis in the evening. Also must try the lassi here.
Personally, I am very much fond of Indian snacks and Raja Sweets. It fulfills my desires to have great Indian snacks. The best thing served is Chhole Bhhature, seriously do give it a try!!! I have tried various shops but this one always snatched first position. Other great things to try are samose, lassi, chowmein, gol gappe and potato chips also.
One of the best sweet shops in Dwarka, Raja sweets caters to all tastes with its huge variety of sweets, snacks and chaat options. The gol gappe here are my favourite across all of Dwarka, two different types of puris, wheat and semolina, served with two different types of water, one spicy and the other more balanced in sweet and sour.
Samosas and jalebis are one of their hot sellers, a fresh batch every 15 minutes, the oil is always hot at this joint.
Gulab jamuns, ladoos, sweets made with milk solids, you'll never run out of options here.
Raja sweets also caters special items around major festivals.
Not the friendliest staff, not the most hygienic of foods but this place is always packed with people which may require you to push and shove your way through to the counter.
Nevertheless, Raja sweets is my go to sweet shop in Dwarka.
Crispy jalebis and spicy samosa! The samosas are sold within 2mins, once they are transferred from kadaai to the big plate. Also, mouthwatering chowmein! It's a cute little old shop located in the middle of the market. It's one of the most crowded spot.
One of my favorite sweet shop.
I always buy sweets from here for any occasion.
Best sweets are Rasgullas, Gulab jamun, kalakand.
Snacks like Jalebi, Samosa, Vada, Noodles are worth the try .
Raha sweets is underrated I think..... U can have chaat, gol gappe, kulcha chole ....but amazing is their samosa, dhokla, chowmien are must try......This place is from last 10 years....
Best Rasmalai in Dwarka. That's how I always recall Raja sweets. Pure pleasure of rasmalai without hindrance of any added flavours(essence) and without dry fruits in it.
everything else is just like any other sweet shop in the area.
Only problematic thing is,too much of rush and too little space near the counter.
This is under rated on zomato. Chowmein, bread pakora, jalebi are awesome. Sweets are of very good quality, you won't be disappointed. Rates are bit are reasonable, not cheap but not even costly as well.
If you are Chowmein lover, order for half plate and you will love it.
I am fond of sweets and hence, have bookmarked this place as one of my favourite sweets shops in Dwarka. You will get all the varieties down here and they arrange fresh snacks like samosa, chaat, chhole bhature etc as well in the evening. Special mention for their Malai Sandwich-my favourite. Nothing beats the taste of one fresh piece of malai sandwich. Keep up the good work guys.
A sweet shop.nice samosas .great jalebi . try dhoklas . cheap shop.it is in sector 6.must try noodles ,jalebi, dhokla.can go.small sweet house
it is a sweet shop but one can find tiiki golgappe , samose, chowmine , and all those stuff here and everything is fine ,, sweets are tasty and fresh , i specially like chole bhature ova here , 70 rs plate made in pure desi ghee.. makes me full and my tummy happy :)
taste-------- 7/10
service-------6/10
value for money----7.5/10
This place is always buzzing with people...
Good place if you are craving for some street food..
It is basically a sweets shop..
I personally love the crispy crunchy sugary juicy jalebis with samosas!!!
The amritsari naan with choley and their special chutney is great!
The chowmein aloo tikki etc are also good enough for one to try out!
Having breakfast with my wife sister I have Ordered Choley bhaturey and the test was amazing cleanliness is good price is also good.
I visit the shop during rain or when ever weather is good .
This place is a perfect heaven for people like me. I had been here with my father today and really enjoyed every snack/sweet we had.
I had samosa, King lassi at the place and took gulab Jamun, milk cake home.
Taste was pleasant and quality was good. It is comparatively better sweet shop than others in sector 6 market.
price is nominal too. 10rs per samosa and 50rs for a king size lassi. The place looks hygienic though parking is a hazard.
Nice evening snack place, would visit here again.
Visit #2 :
Had Imarti, samosa again and chowmein this time.
Quality is as good as it was before. No question on it.
Would review other things as well after subsequent visits.
Was walking past the store until my eyes caught a sight of the jalebis. Driven by the aroma of pure ghee, ordered 4 pieces fr myself but mistakenly the shopkeeper took the order of 10. Was dusgruntled in the beginning but ended up eating all alone ! Really commendable .
Oh one of the best chowmein at just a cheap price
Thr is always a line for the chowmein.
It's street food corner .
Quite hygienic and yummy food they make.
However no seating. Capacity.
But roadside fresh food. Enjoyed. Do give it a try
All the chaat I had during my childhood was at this place!:')
Amazing samosas...So crispy, juicy, sugar-y jalebis - and you can get them slightly more browned if you tell the cook to do so..
Sweets are good too!
Gol Gappas are WOW!!extremely perfectly tasty! :P
Aloo tikki is delicious!! After having the aloo tikki here, it became my favorite street food!
Chowmein...don't know if they still have it...was the best street chowmien I have had!! :D
The place is very popular and so is extremely overcrowded in the evenings, anytime during the day on weekends...and forget about being able to enter the shop on a festival! xD
Overall, best sweet/chaat/halwai shop in Dwarka!! ^_^
Jalebi... Paneer pakoda... Chhole bhature... Shahi laddu... Gulaabjamun... Aaloo tikki... Dahi bhalle... Bas ab kya batao.... Try karo. Main to 7 saal se try kar rha hoon....... A must visit ????
Although its just another mithai shop but it has one of the best samosa, chaat and khasta kachori available in Dwarka. In sweets rasberry and rasmalai are very good.
You should visit raja sweets for 2 things..... samosas and jalebi....
They are the most popular bunch of halwais in dwarka. thei service is pretty decent but on usual evenings their space seems small for the people who come up to buy sweets. they need to improve upon their location so as to carry on their task smoothly. . to live up to their name they have to improve upon their space issues. and yes the prices have gone up like anything. one can expect good samosas and jalebis for their evening hi tea.
We had South Indian Thali. It was very good. Only lemon rice needs improvement.
The ambience and service is very good.
Menu and prices are good.
The only problem is that the approach to the lift to the 3rd floor restaurant is very narrow and goes through a shop on the ground floor.
Second, the board of the restaurant is not visible clearly from ground level.
The dining hall is very spacious and service is good.
Food is very good.
Worth going.
Nice small seating area not like earlier or other sagar ratnas but clean and nice.
Had garlic ghee roast plain dosa which was very nice....podi idlies were soft and flavourful....paper plain dosa was as good and crispy...rasam was little thick but tasty and apalam with onion chutny enhanced its taste....crispy aloo chaat was really yumm...filter coffee was fresh....overall experience was nice. very attentive servers with right attitude....
Food quality has improved, service was delightful, water was clean, plates were cleaned, kids safe, tables & chairs arrangement could be better though. My family enjoyed every bite, we were pleasantly surprised.
We had a tandoori platter... that was mind-blowing taste. Should try.
Sagar Ratna is the best place to eat if you are looking for a quick bite or a family meal or literally any occasion which calls for good food. It has the best instrumental music, obviously very tasteful and fulfilling food and a family ambience. Kids and adult friendly. Very homely. The South Indian thali is a must must try. Chinese is good too.
1. Nice simple ambiance and easily accessible place.
2. Service is good with polite and helpful staff.
3. It's all vegetarian with a special focus on South Indian food.
4. North Indian and Chinese are also available but i would suggest trying South Indian.
3. Food is good they have a Verity of dosas.
4. Plenty of thali and combo options available.
5. Try their dosas an
Authentic Dosa and consistent taste over the time.
Try their Spring Roll Dosa, Idli Chaat and Mysore Masala Dosa.
Food is great. Nice mouth watering dishes. Tried masala dosa, uttapam, upma, rasam papad, biryani veg and to my surprise the malai chaap was also prepared very nicely. The ambience is something that can be worked upon a little bit to make it more attractive place to visit.
Good Service and ambience. The food is also good. It is one of the best south Indian restaurants in Delhi
Great Service and Atmosphere, Food is also good, the quality of Sambhar can improve. Definitely a good place for a family Lunch or Dinner
Good place to have South Indian cuisine, and the rasam I awesome especially in winters. Place, service and ambiance was good, preparations can be better.
Food and ambience is great. I came after a long time but small suggestion to please improve the sauce served next to dosa like coconut and other chutney. The taste is chutney was flat.
The overall experience was good. I ordered Mix veg uttapam which was hard as it was re-heated. One more thing they are charging Rs. 100 for a glass of a cold drink which we can easily get in Rs. 20 from the market.
Visited Sagar Ratna Dwarka for the first time. We reached there around 8 am and it was still setting up for the day. We were able to get filter coffee. Good option for early morning breakfast . #Dwarka #India #Food #Delhi
