Rating: ★★★★☆ (4 out of 5) I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Punjab restaurant in Yusuf Sarai Market, New Delhi, and I must say that my experience left me pleasantly surprised. Although the restaurant's appearance may not initially inspire confidence, the food they serve is nothing short of exceptional. Upon my friend's insistence, I reluctantly stepped inside the shabby little place. However, my skepticism quickly faded as I delved into their vegetarian offerings. I ordered the malai kofta, butter naan, and mix raita, and I was blown away by the flavors and quality of the dishes. The malai kofta was rich and creamy, with perfectly spiced dumplings swimming in a delectable sauce. The butter naan was soft and pillowy, an ideal accompaniment to the flavorful curry. The mix raita provided a refreshing contrast, balancing out the richness of the main course. What truly impressed me was the attention to detail in the preparation of the food. The flavors were well-balanced, and the portion sizes were generous. The quality of the dishes easily rivaled that of established restaurants, making it clear that the Punjab restaurant takes pride in its culinary offerings. However, it's worth mentioning that the restaurant could use some improvements in its ambiance and hygiene. The shabby appearance and lack of attention to cleanliness might be off-putting to some customers. It would be great to see the owners invest more in the design of the place and pay closer attention to hygiene standards to elevate the overall dining experience. Despite these shortcomings, the Punjab restaurant has undoubtedly earned a reputation as a hidden gem for its outstanding vegetarian fare. If you can overlook the initial impression, you will be rewarded with a memorable culinary experience that rivals some of the more well-known establishments. In conclusion, my visit to the Punjab restaurant left me pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality and taste of their vegetarian dishes. While improvements in the ambiance and hygiene are warranted, the delightful flavors and generous portions make this place a must-visit for all lovers of Indian cuisine.

With a view of 80's good restaurant , Punjab Restaurant is quite unique. Situated on a rushed Arbindo marg , There is quite silence. Interiors are old but was far modern in 90's ! Only one waiter used to serve in unique 80's style. They serve in Bone China plates which is another awesome and 80's experience, I'm So Impressed!!! Veg options are less but loads of Non Veg dishes ranging from egg to chicken to mutton. I had Dal Makhani & Laccha Paratha (obsessed nowadays) , it was delicious and in punjabi way. Had Dum Aloo....It was real yumm (but a bit sweet) Kadhai Paneer is also tasty and is in pure punjabi dhaba style. Mutton masala is tasty but peices aren't good enough. Veg Biryani is ok ok - punjabi styled. Must try other things but may be on my next visit! Impressed 3.5*

5 stars for the food and 0 star for the billing cheat. Their person on bill counter wanted cash or Paytm to his own number and NOT on companies Paytm. I had to argue to pay on companies Paytm. If anyone can convey this to their owner it'll be helpful.

Located at one end of a very busy Aurobindo Marg Yusuf Sarai A very down to earth restaurant more like a dhaba like interior. When you enter ,it may give you a gloomy look. Now for the food. Well it was much better than the interior. Their kadai chicken is awesome along with butter naan or tandoori roti. Even their saag mutton during the season is very tasty. Service is OK which we expect from this type of restaurant. Food is also reasonably priced here won’t burn a hole in ur pocket

I love to eat at this place literally because it sells dhaba food at a decent price. This place mostly serves people who come to visit the nearby hospitals as attendants or as patients. while the veg food tastes almost like homemade with less spices, the non veg dishes on the other hand is quite robust and delicious indeed. The lachha Paranthas are not to be missed at all.

The taste of this restaurant is totally superb.I have tried Paneer Butter masala and Butter Naan and they are totally delicious and yummy. It is easily located at the road side. They have to work on the ambience and cleanliness part a lot.Otherwise for taste it is one of the best and affordable on pocket😃.And they serve both Veg and Non-Veg delicacies.A heaven for taste lovers ♥️😊🥘.
