We visited the Aminia outlet in CR park on a weekday afternoon. Rest assured if you are craving some authentic kolkata biryani, you have come to the right place. We ordered Mutton Biryani and Afghani Chicken, both of which were mouth watering.
P.S. - A visit is highly recommended. Also be ready to wait for a table because the place gets a decent crowd every day.

Few days back we ordered food from the bengali cuisine outlet Aminia. And the food was genuinely tasty. Moreover it was delivered hot and fresh. The quality and quantity both were worth mentioning. We ordered paneer tikka, alu biryani, dal makhni all of the items were fantastic. The Biryani was exceptionally good. So, all in all a perfect place to order food.
So my friend suggested me this outlet as this is near my workplace. So last Thursday I decided to order from this place I ordered Paneer Tikka, egg Biryani, paneer butter masala, dal makhni, 2 butter naan and phirni.
Paneer was properly marinated with apt amount of spices and was also properly barbecued. Paneer butter masala was beautifully accompanied by butter naan.
Phirni can't go wrong and it was the best item to end our delicious meal.
I loved the packaging, taste and quantity.
Everything was worth the price.

An authentic bengali cuisine restaurant. Everything here is the way it has to be. Perfect food I must say. A lot of people expect the food to be spicy while ordering from here but it isnt meant to be spicy and also it has got nothing related to Mughlai cuisine. I have been ordering from this place quite often now and absolutely love their chicken tikka and chicken biryani. The raita they serve is sweet, again the way it should be! Love this place.

I was delightfully surprised at their vegetarian optipns! Their Dal Makhani was creamy and vert delicious! Their Paneer Butter Masala was very healthy as it did not have crazy amount of oil like in other places. Naan was also soft. The service was promt and the interiors done up well. I love the subtle taste of their food! I had the chicken biryani and handi curry! I absolutely loved their handi. Try their paranthas which are really crispy and fresh. The owner is a very nice lady; you’ll find her over the weekends. It was a great experience, would definitely love to come again!
We tried the Aminia for the first time last night and the food was great, freshly cooked very tasty and well presented. The waiters were attentive and service overall was good. Even the ambience of the place was pretty decorated. Overall a good meal and great value we will certainly be going back.

Yesterday, ordered from this place some amazing lip smacking dishes. I had ordered chicken handi, chicken biryani, butter naan, chicken malai tikka and phirni.
I must say that it was a delight. The chicken handi was scrumptious and it was prepared well. I enjoyed this with my chicken biryani which had one potato , egg and chicken piece. Loved the combo. The biryani was similar to what I had it in Aminia, Kolkata. Memories relived with this biryani.
Phirni was good and loved my dessert a lot.

A friend of mine suggested this place to me, and I am glad that I tried it. The place is a proper restaurant but I decided to opt for take away, quite a quick service I got everything packed and ready to go withing 15 mins of ordering.
I had ordered:
Reshmi Chicken Tikka: Loved these Smokey, charred to perfection, creamy and soft chicken kebabs. Would definitely recommend this dish.
Chicken Biryani: Authentic kolkata style Chicken Biryani, yakhni flavoured rice, with succulent chicken and the crowning jewel Kolkata style biryani the huge and buttery potato. Really good biryani, flavourful and light.
Chicken Chaap with Butter Naan: Delicious, thick, rich gravy and perfectly cooked piece of chicken. Butter Naan was fluffy, soft and a bit sweet, perfectly accompanied the spicy Chaap.
Phirni: I particularly don't like phirnin, but this one was very delicious, it just melted in my mouth. The phirni was set in a clay pot, that gave it a earthy look and taste as well. Absolutely delightful.
Would definitely try other dishes from this place.
I had a takeaway of Chicken briyani and Chicken rashmi tikka of this restaurant. The packing food was nicely done. Their chicken briyani was cooked perfectly. They used good quantity of chicken and good selection of pieces. They also used egg in chicken briyani which made the presentation really good and appealing. They used good quality of rice in the briyani. The chicken Rashmi tikka was also awesome in taste, very soft and creamy.
This Place is a gem for all the foodies out there.

We ordered Paneer Tikka , Phirni , Dal Makhani , Paneer Butter Masala, Biryani and Butter naans.
Paneer Tikka were marvelous so well marinated and perfectly cooked.
The main course dishes - Dal Makhani and Paneer Lababdar. Dal gives you an authentic taste of Kolkata blend spices. And Paneer was scrumptious filled with flavours.
And the best part was phirni. The sweet phirni will make you drool for its very last bite.

Being a Bengali, I have always been a die hard fan of Aminia of Kolkata and I'm really happy that they opened a new branch in Delhi's C R Park area. I visited yesterday, Sunday afternoon with my family for lunch and luckily they had the last table avilable for us. The ambiance was good, AC was chilled, it's located on the main road, parking is a little issue though but manageable.
I wanted to order Mutton Biryani but unfortunately it was not available due to their meat vendor who gotten late so ordered the Chicken Biryani with a heavy heart. While we were waiting, after some time there owner Rizwan came and informed he's making Mutton Biryani for me if I was ready to wait for a few minutes more, I instantly agreed and they served a freshly prepared Mutton Biryani to me with boiled eggs and boiled potatoes. I totally loved the Biriyani, made with long grain basmati rice, it was mildly spiced, full of aroma and flavours and totally non greasy. It seemed to have cooked with mutton stock so it had amazing flavours in every bite.
We also ordered a plate of Egg/aloo Biryani and I tried that too to make sure they are not serving same rice in both the dishes and I found the rice tasted totally different from my Mutton Biryani.
We also ordered a Turkish Mutton kebab, they were so nicely done, about 8 pieces of medium sized boneless mutton, succulent and juicy, boiled with spices etc and barbequed.
Service was really amazing, the server Abhishek was really very well mannered and took real good care of us. Yes it took 15-20 minutes for my order to be served, but I was happy as it was freshly made and not served from bulk made Biryani.
The owner also visited a couple of times to make sure we are having a good time and everything was perfect. They belong to the same family of Kolkata's aminia, hence the taste stayed exactly the same.
Now there were a couple of issue, like their bottled water wasn't cold enough, they didn't have cold drinks, which I totally ignored and rating them 5 as I went there for Biriyani and that was out of the world. I'm sure they'll improve on those things also with time.
Overall, being a Biryani lover, I rate this place 5/5 and totally recommend if you like Kolkata Style Biryani.
For 3 of us, 1 double mutton Biryani, I egg Biriyani and a plate of kebab the total cost was 1100/-which I would say is reasonable for the quantity and quality they served.

Came across this outlet on Instagram and I was sold at the look of the biryani. I ordered (had to order just a biryani, ended up ordering a feast!) -
• Chicken Tikka - not as spicy as I’d have liked it to be, but extremely juicy and tender. The marination was mild and the flavours were subtle on the palate.
• Chicken biryani with raita - The boiled egg and potato and the absolutely aromatic rice just made my day! Must try!
• chicken handi with butter naan - rich curry with boneless pieces of chicken, went well with the naan.
• Firni - delivered in an earthern bowl, the firni was thick and creamy. For a person who isnt as big a dessert fan, I liked it.
Overall a great meal! Kudos!!

Perfect place for those who miss kolkata biriyani in Delhi. I would highly recommend the special biriyani (chicken/mutton) which serves two. You get adequate amount of rice with chicken, egg and aloo. So why wait!
I am a big fan of biryanis so tried to order biryani from this place with paneer kofta .the food was really awesome specially the biryani.it was Bengali style biryani .paneer kofta was also amazing in taste .

Kolkata biryani on your mind ? Try Aminia !! They are serving the real deal replete with aloo and boiled egg. Pair it up with some curry of chicken chop and you are transported directly to the streets ok Kolkata. The chicken chop goes really well with crisp pranthas and naan as well. We also ordered the boti kebab which was nothing to write home about. The mutton pieces were chunky but they used food colour which kinda puts me off and also it wasnt served at the right temperature either. So nah !! All in all, good place for biryani and curries. Try it out !! You can avoid the boti kebabs.

It is basically bengali mughlai restaurant. they variety of non veg and veg. food. we ordered Chicken tikka , chicken biryani , butter naan , chicken handi and firni. All items received was hot and fresh. Chicken tikka and chicken biryani was best out of all , Chicken tikka chunks was super soft and fresh. chicken made with right amount of ingredients and spices , Chicken biryani was superb , biryani was nicely made , rice was properly cooked . others items was also good. packing was superb , zero amount of spills , delivery was also fast. loved to order again. I have been visiting this place since October last year and honestly, it makes me so happy every time I visit it because it reminds me of my hometown, Calcutta. The quality of biryani, mutton kassa, phirni and other usual orders is as good as that back in Calcutta. The restaurant changed its location a few months ago. It shifted to a new location in Chittaranjan Park itself but took some time to update the address on Google Maps. The staff is efficient and the ambience is even better now with the gallery of pictures essential to the Bengali ethos. I always take my non-Bengali friends here to make them try aaloo biryani because why not? Most of them have been impressed. Their shahi tukda is not always available, but if it is, then grab it ASAP haha.

Me and my family went to CR Park for some work...my mom always wanted to try this place out stating its famous biryani cener from Kolkata...so finally we went there..the space is small but comfortable and nicely decorated..they have kept is very subtle...with portraits of famous kolkata related memories...we ordered one special chicken biryani and one chicken biryani..the quantity of special chicken biryani is enough for two people and they provide four chicken pieces in that..2 pieces of aloo and one egg in two halves..the service of the place is really good...the staff was courteous...the quantity of food is also great...now coming to the taste..those who like kolkata biryani will love it...however i am not a very big fan of kolkata biryani..i prefer hyderabadi...bt the taste was good..the chicken was soft..in kolkata biryani you will not find raita or salad..overall a good experience

Aminia. The name gets me all nostalgic. From the lanes of esplanade, kolkata the maestros have landed in Delhi.
And buoy, they didn't disappoint. The biryani. The kebab. The mutton chap.
The aroma. The taste. The essence.
I jus had an opportunity to live those old moments again sitting miles away from home. They have to up their kebab game to put up with Delhi standards. But the biryani and chap were absolutely wonderful. Meat was tender. The spices were balanced. The aroma has still stayed with me.

The chicken reshmi is without any doubt, one of my favorites from their menu. I also love the chicken chaap and chicken biryani. The garlic naan is a great accompaniment to the food. It is cooked perfectly. The firni is also one of their best!

The reshmi chicken was exceptionally great, finger lickin', we must say! The chicken chaap was tasty too. The chicken biryani was delicious. And as for the firni, it was one of the best.

Yes a neighbourhood tandoor restaurant that serves good chicken and mutton kebabs and tikkas. My review is purely based on taste as I ordered in food through Zomato.
I ordered mutton sheekh kabab; it was good and well made. The quantity was less. Next I ordered chicken tangri kebab; well made and the legs were fat and juicy with good spices. And then the third item was chicken Afghani tikka which was a little too sour from the curd marination. Guess the curd used in the marination was half cooked in the summer heat! That’s a negative. Did not like sour flavour in the afghani tikka. Rather unusual! But none the less; it was passable.
The Zomato delivery guy named Arun was prompt. He picked up the pack and delivered it within the promised time. I gave him a decent tip because he deserved it.
Will probably order in more in the future.

well i completely loved the Mutton bengali biryani, i mean this is the only place i can get the more over same as kolkata. We have ordered for phirni, mutton razala and kasa and loved it every bit.
Service is quick, friendly and professional. however i highly recommend a table booking on weekends as we have to wait for upto 30 min to get in there.

I have been this place after the poush mela in CR park. We order chicken biryani because I heard it is quite different then other and behind this biryani had a history. In this biryani they use potato I thought chicken biryani with potato? but when they served that was awesome. The rice well cooked, fragrance of rice raise your hunger. Staff was very polite and very helpful. Even the young manager share with us the actual history why they use potato in chicken biryani. They way he was telling the story we all fall in love briyani. It’s located on EPDP road in CR park. We ordered a take away for aminia special mutton biryani. It has 4 pieces of mutton, one boiled egg and potato. Packaging is average. They have sitting arrangement too, but we avoided it as the AC was not running. Quality of the biryani is really good. Although it has been years since I had biryani at original aminia at Kolkata, found it comparable.
Thank you for bringing kolkata in the heart of the country 😊. While having the biriyani I felt like I was in my hometown , the flavour was exact . Even chicken rezala was awesome . Worth it 😌....

Good place to find Kolkata styled Biriany. The one with Aloo(potato) and Egg in it. Their Biriany had those long grain basmati rice and sweet smell of ittar.Not much of masala like the lucknawi / moradabadi but a subtle taste that you can enjoy. This is the closest that you would find to it's Kolkatan countrpart. Also had their aminia special mutton. Whole onion(sweet to the core), whole tomato in a gravy made like home. Mutton pieces were succulent and yummy. Had Firnu as desert and it was also pretty good.

It's better as a takeaway counter. If more seats could be added and it can be converted to a full fledged restaurant, that would be really great. Mutton chap taste was also good. Both quality and quantity of biryani are appreciated.
Recommendation: please increase the number of seats in the restaurant.
