Its best in portion and size . The thupkas and noodles and especially momos no match so far in my experience however one thing thta the lack seriously is the momos chutney. Its not spicy at all plus it tastes somewhat like khatti meethi just for color the red shines out but faild in taste.
I really hope they work on it and the ratings each time from my end atleast will be 5*
This place is quite nice. We visited this restaurant last night. Momos is so yummy. This is one of the most delicious Indian meals we have ever eaten. The menu is extensive and many varieties.
I think it deserves a 5 star for momos but I have only tried chicken steamed momos twice and its a must try for momo lovers. Chicken filing is very rich in taste and spices are very less. Authentic momos. Will give it a 5 star once i find other dishes also good.
Amazing chinese food discovered during quarantine. Great food, which is not at all oily or very spicy, made with authentic flavours. The food was so good, I didn’t even get a chance to click a picture. I love this place and will be a frequent on my menu to order. As for packaging, I have noticed a lot of restaurants have moved to echo friendly methods, that is the next step for you guys. Switch to more innovative ways to pack food as for the time being no one will be allowed to visit restaurants and be completely dependent on online deliveries.
Ordered rice with chilli paneer combo and chilli garlic noodles
Combo Was delivered in a black bowl
Perfect taste and very good quantity
Bit disappointed with noodles as they were very dry .
Overall a good place to order or visit Chinese restaurant around north campus
My friend told me about this amazing restaurant called Shagun. She told me about their authentic asian food. So I decided to order some hakka chilli chicken dry with fried wonton. The food got delivered on time. Chicken was soft, juicy, tender and delicious in taste. The wonton too was very tasty.
I loved every bite of my meal
Ordered honey ball crispy pepper chicken with mux veg Hong Kong from Shagun restaurant. The delivery was made on time. The food came hot and fresh. The chicken balls were quite juicy and crispy and they had this amazing mild flavour of honey which made it tastier. The mix veg was sooo delicious and fulfilling.
It was an amazing meal.
The day i tasted their chicken momos and spring rolls, the bars set high! Now that I try to find good momos anywhere, I probably fail! They're a must try! Very juicy, huge and delicious! 5/5!!!

Steam momos
It is a nice place to order food from. A must try place for all. Loved the food over here. The packaging was nice as well
Really good place, would revisit.
One of those rare restaurants where almost everything is near perfect for me. Ambience, lighting, Buddhist instrumentals in background, cutleries and crockeries and courteous staff - everything is brilliant.
Food is exceptionally good and authentic.Especially their Burmese as well as Indonesian Chicken Curries are must tries. Chicken momos are far better than most of the momos around Delhi. Their non veg combos are also good.
And the most satisfying thing is that they charge extremely reasonable rates for all these in comparison to most of the other restaurants offering these cuisines.
A major drawback is that their vegetarian food is not as good as their non vegetarian ones, especially dishes with gravies and momos.
This is small outlet with seating area for 20-30 person, menu has huge variety of dish from veg to non veg. They have good variety of combo also which is pocket friendly. Service was good and food served hot and fresh.
Best and Affordable Chinese Restaurant in North Delhi ! The place has various amazing Chinese dishes and the service was topnotch. It had a bit of fine dining feel to it as the waiters were so well dressed, friendly and the music was so soothing to the ears.
This was one of the first restaurants I had tried in Delhi and it was so good. It was a short walk away from college and the place was very cozy-looking. The food is affordable and the quantity is great too. There are different kinds of dishes available here and although I have tried the Chinese the most, the others are good too. The staff too was friendly and the service was very fast. I really enjoyed the place. I loved the non-veg American Chopsuey here. It was great and one of my favorite dishes.
Ordered Chicken Momos from Shagun. I usually don't like steamed momos, but the ones served by this place were exceptional!
Ultimate destination for Chicken Momo in Delhi.Used to be my favourite place during University days. This time I went back after almost 4years and I have to say the taste has been untouched.Brought back so many memories ❤️
This place serves some authentic Chinese food with not too much indianisation of it. I loved their chilli chicken and garlic fried rice. Also love the quantity they offer. It's an amazing restaurant do visit
The primary spot that rings a bell with regards to an upbeat feasting. Great quality nourishment and great administration. This is situated in central avenue of vijay nagar. Its a little outlet with basic insides and diminish lighting which makes its ideal Chinese restaurant.Must attempt chicken momo and Manchow Soup.
Loved the chicken thupka from here. Good quantity as well as good quality. The shredded chicken is perfectly cooked and the soup tastes amazing. Will order again.
A very highly recommended restaurant. The first place that comes to mind when it comes to a happy dining. Good quality food and good service. Have been a regular customer for the past 8 years.
This is located in main street of vijay nagar.
Its a small outlet with simple interiors and dim lighting which makes its perfect Chinese restaurant.
Must try chicken momo and Manchow Soup.
Nice place to visit in DU area especially for chineese & tibetan food lovers. There Chicken momos are one of the best in the area filled with alot chicken pieces. Non veg hakka noodles was thin and tastes awesome. Spring roll were also very crispy and delicious.

This place is one of my favourite place for chinese food.. i really love the place ambience.. it is still simple but elegant.. soft music and above all its food
Shagun,
This place is situated in Vijaya Nagar. It’s a casual dining restaurant. They have nice ambiance and good seating. Crowd was cool. They served Thai,Chinese,Japanese, and Tibetan food . Food was good. The staff was courteous and attentive.
Overall had a pleasant experience.
They serve authentic Chinese food which is amazing and this restaurant is mostly crowded and is cheap , the service is amazing and must try chicken thukpa here.
Delivery was on time and the quality of food was awesome.
There are a few places which maintain a dim lighting and an enclosed sort of ambience. And to my view, some of them do not even need to have a brighter lighting. Shagun is one of those. It is located in the famous hudson lane but might not be extremely popular because of the small place it occupies which is pushed a little inside and therefore is not distantly visible.
But, it offers good Chinese(which is not easily available). Trust me when i say this, they cook the type of Chinese food that people actually crave for. I have been there for a few times and i have liked almost everything i ate.
I have tried their Manchow Soup(I highly recommend that), Spring Rolls, Egg Hakka Noodles, Shredded Potato Hot Garlic(something different to try) and their veg Chinese platter(this is very pocket friendly and serves sufficient for two, so must have).
To drink, i would suggest you to only restrict to fresh lime if you want to pick up a safe option. Apart from this, I tried their cold coffee and it tasted terrible.
What i also liked about them was their courteous service. I asked the server to reheat my food. Not only he heated it up but put some more gravy in shredded potato as it only had vegetables left by then.
So if you are craving for tasty Chinese, i would recommend this. You also might want to try a variety of things if you are a non-vegetarian as they have more options in it.
It has a very quiet, calm ambience. There's always a soothing meditative music playing in the background, which gives it an even more cozy effect. The food is always on point and there has never been a compromise on the quality as well as the quantity of food. The price is absolutely reasonable and worthy, the staff polite and service efficient, hence it gets an extra star.
The food here is great, more quantity on an affordable price. I order from Shagun quite often. Non veg menu is the best here. Shagun is my way to go!
My favourite place for chinese, japanese food! Budget friendly, good quantity, lovely staff. Peaceful ambience. I had Yakitori and Khao Pad rice this time. This place never fails to amaze me :)
This is one of the best place to go if you are hungry and want a hearty meal that could fill your desire. Also, to add in that the price are very reasonable.
Very reasonable place situated in Vijaya Nagar.
This place has good seating.the place is usually crowded.
They have a good variety of Chinese,Japanese options.
Ambience is not so great..even the lighting is not that good
I had ordered:
Manchow soup(4/5) : quantity is good and nice mild taste.
Fish salt and pepper (4/5) a bit spicy but very nice taste.
Steam rice(4/5) the portions are huge..atleast 3-4 people can have it
Burmese chicken curry(4/5) unique taste.i never had something like this before.its mild and cocunut based curry
Overall had a pleasant experience
This place has an old style ambience with dull lighting which people might not be used to in Hudson lane. But if you get used to that, this is one of the best restaurants in Hudson lane. The menu encompasses a wide variety of Asian cuisine. The combos are very fulfilling. Quantity generous. Quick service. Food quality satisfactory. And most of all this place has never disappointed me.
Everyone has their own taste when it comes to food but for pork momo lovers, this is where you can the best the pork momo.
You must try it..
Shagun delivers food at your place real quick and that's perhaps the best part. Good quantity of food served. Would give a 3.5/5 on taste and 4/5 on value for money.
This is my favourite place when it comes to having chinese food in the GTB nagar and Vijay Nagar area. Their dishes are very affordable and very tasty. Their chicken drums of heaven are one of the best ones I have come across. The best thing about this restaurant is that they serve in great quantity. One plate of a dish like noodles and rice could serve upto three. The ambience is also very nice with chinese music playing in the background
This place is one of the oldest restaurants in vijay nagar. They have a simple setup and has the old world charm the lighting is a bit low. They serve great chinese food at good prices
One of the best momos I have ever had. A very nice and quite place to dine.Should definitely try out this place if you are into Chinese food and appreciate a quite place.
Simply love love love their steamed chicken momos and a big fan of the burmese curry they serve. 🥟🥟🍛🍛
The best part is that they have amazing food served at economical prices. So basically it's good food at a pocket friendly budget. Do try out the food here. ❤❤
However, the only problem is that the lighting is a little too dim for my taste.
Nice place for hangout with friends .what we had , chicken fried momos ,drums of heaven, chicken Sha-Fale, chicken drumsticksPleasant ambiance. Services and staff are also good. Food was really great. Deliciousness of their food.. simply awesome!!
My brother give me party on his birthday I order chicken momos and there ambience was very good and there staff was very good and 5here are crowd
Best place to have Chinese, Tibetan, Japanese, Asian and Thai food in a pocket friendly budget. I remember visiting and ordering from this place when I was starting in the vicinity. I visited the restaurant some after 6 years and the place is still the same. Still the dim lighted soft music perfect for a Chinese dinner ambience. Nothing has changed even the seating arrangement is the same. Ordered Chicken Momos, Pork Chilli Dry and Date Pancakes with Ice cream. The Chicken Momos has rich filling and succulent while the Pork Chilli Dry was very sumptuous and even the Date Pancakes with Ice cream as a after dinner dessert was yum. I was to full with just starters.
Earlier as well I had Fish in Oyester Sauce and Fried Rice and Veg. Manchurian, Spring Rolls and that time as the taste was the same. I'll surely revisit.
The staff is very courteous and helpful.
They can surely add more to the dessert section like Mochi Ice-cream, Chocolate Roll, Date Roll and Coconut Roll, Soufflé and Mousse. Apart from that the menu is perfect.
Almost everything here is AWESOME 😍
The staff is friendly and helpful
This place has the best food and affordable prices
The ambience of the restaurant is soothing and calming
The lighting in this restaurant is dim bit you will get used to it as time passes and you would enjoy it too.
With the calming Tibetan music, dim lighting, delicious food ,this place is the best.
I would recommend it to anyone who are craving for some Tibetan/Chinese cuisine 😋
Best place to have Chinese food. Everything is great about this place. The aroma, atmosphere, staff and it is pocket friendly. The food is lip smacking. People who love Chinese and are crazy for momos should definitely visit this place.
Excelent food huge quantity Worth for money the atmosphere is awesome With a Japanese touch with slight music which lifts the mood overall its a great ambiance
Shagun is one of my favorite places, it serves the best chinese food, the fried chicken dumplings are yummy, the pork ribs are just so juicy and delicious, and the honey chilli potato and hakka noodles are just great.
This place is a must visit, it located beside BYD, the interior is a bit simple and quiet, but the food is yummy and to die for, i personally don't think anyone can beat Shagun in fried chicken dumplings, the best flavors ever.
I am not giving it 5 stars just because they forgot to add gravy to my stir fried veggies. The food is amazing, fresh and good preparation. We ordered Noodles, Fried Rice, Babycorn Salt & Pepper, Spring Rolls and Fried Wontons. It was delicious with proper essence of Chinese preparation. The only thing which was missed was the gravy in Stir Fried Veggies..!! #goodjob
Always a nice place for some good Asian food when in campus. Pretty affordable too. My favourite is their pan fried momos - a must try for all!
It was a nice personal experience to eat out here when I was new in Delhi as I was not good at cooking that time. I was here a number of times with friends and sometimes with cousins. The food served here comforts me.. I simply love it 😊
The place looks a bit shady from outside but the place is amazing if you want to have meaningful conversation. Steamed rice and Red/green thai curry combo is something you don’t wanna miss. Date pancakes with ice cream is a must to have dessert. Staff is very courteous. Only thing I would recommend is to change the board outside.
Whenever I am at my parents place this is my go to place for comfort food. Chicken momos is a must order for me from this place. I might have tired almost the entire menu and I have never ever been disappointed from this place. Really good food and staff is very polite and courteous.
If you are in Hudson Lane and craving for Thai, Tibetian, Japanese and Chinese dishes then Shagun is the must visit restaurant in this area. The ambiance is perfect with low light and soothing music. The restaurant has ample amount of seating irrespective of the fact that it has a high footfall. This place is ideal for any occasions because the food will satisfy your desires entirely. The hospitality is superb and satisfactory. The must have in their menu are Chicken Momos(the stuffing is amazing with delicious chutney), Pork Momos, Chicken Thukpa , Pork Spare Ribs (one must try this for the delicious masala ). One shouldn't miss out this pocket friendly restaurant !
One of the best place to have great quality chinese food...the thentuk and the fried momos are my favourite in the place but all other items like the combo also has a good quantity of food
The food is great. Quality and quantity has never been compromised. Service is swift. The staff are courteous and ever-helpful. The ambience is fitting and the music is very soothing. It is not heavy on the wallet at all - making it a wholefully nice place, recommended for all age groups.
This restaurant is my all time favorite. Good quality and quantity of food is available here at a reasonable price. One fried rice is more than enough to serve 2-3 people. My personal favorites are chicken dimsims, chilli garlic chicken fried rice, prawn fried rice and chicken drumsticks.
A place which gave me the homely feel. I had cold coffee and chicken drumsticks there. Great taste. Good ambience and great staff. One of the famous restaurants in Hudson. Been there once. They can increase their lightings a bit.
in the heart of gtb there is place like this typical japanese feel to it its got cozy interiors dim lighting and perfectly subtle music to it
what i had
-chicken fried momos
-drums of heaven
-chicken Sha-Fale
This is a very old Chinese restaurant located in the most happening part of North West Delhi. (Yes, Shagun- Chinese!) Bustling with college students, this place is light on pocket and heavy on taste and quality.
This is a small place offering a cozy atmosphere, with dim lights, topped by some very deliciously simple Indo Chinese food!
We were two of us, so thought to order a combo were we could taste a variety of dishes and re order the one which was really good.
Mon chow soup was wonderful, topped with crispy fried noodles and soup with just the right consistency.Had been recommended to try out chicken Momos here, and I can easily claim to have eaten the tastiest chicken Momos in North –West Delhi. Smooth, soft, tender minced chicken steamed to perfection. Chilly chicken was very good, chunks of chicken, properly cooked, (no sign of rawness as in many places), with a semi thick gravy went really with their vegetable noodles.
Quality of noodles was good, seasonal veggies added.Overall, a must go place for some of their Chinese – Japanese dishes , make sure to make an advance booking due to long queues on weekends! My Overall Rating: 3.8
A perfect place to all those who want to eat authentic Chinese food with some sweet background music. The place is really pocket friendly with delicious food. We ordered fried veg momos and hot & sour soup. The ketchup served with momos is delicious adding to the flavour
Good food. Warm ambience. Student friendly. Yaki gyoza, mandarin honey chicken, thai curry, yaki tori, and roast pork curry are some of my favourites. The quantity in the food is the best part. It's enough for 2-3 people depending on the appetite.
Absolutely love, love and love the place. Very good food. Love the variety. The quantity is very generous. Kothe momos are the best. Polite and humble staff. Good ambience. Extremely budget friendly.
This is a place I visit since childhood my mom dad used to go here on their dates and nothing have changed food is awesome service is great and atmosphere is very positive.
Absolutely amazing vibe. The food is priced fairly and tastes excellent. The dim lights and the Tibetan chanting music makes you forget you're in a bustling Delhi street.
I found this restaurant in a really calm and soothing manner! I'd definitely visit again someday.
Cozy ambience with good service staff and most important with 100 percent tasty food. You would not regret going there.
I liked Thupka and Thenthuk most.
Prices are average and cost effective.
Ordered a few times through food delivery apps. Nice place for pocket friendly chinese cuisine. Ample amount of food with nice packaging. According to methe taste and authenticity are well maintained. Chicken schezwan fried rice, chicken chilli fried rice, chicken manchurian and other dishes with longer names seemed to be delicious.
One of the best places I've been to as of yet which delivers good Asian food at an unbelievably cheap rate in the heart of Delhi NCR. The only con is the atmosphere which is dim and not really photogenic. No wonder it is the student's haven. Vegetarian options are available but lesser in comparison. I loved the pork and would definitely be back to try some more. They are also generous with their quantity considering the price. So broke students craving Asian cuisines, give this place a shot! :)
The great value one would get for the money spent on food here, made me change my rating from 4 to 5. The single combo meals are perfect for a pair of friends, and very budget friendly for the university students, less than 500 for 2 males, with the kind of appetite expected on their late 20s. All chicken dishes have the typically soothing tibetean flavour which is unlikely to be from MSG. They cook the noodles just right, neither under-cooked, nor over-cooked. Over the years I have realised that the chicken dumplings served here is consistently the best i have had in the NCR. Provided how budget friendly the place is, it's simply great. I would also like to thank the entire staff there for making it possible for us broke University students to have frequent lunches which would have been unlikely if they would not have maintained the pricing of their menu as they have managed to, over a very long time.
My favorite place for Chinese and Tibetan food in Hudson lane. I love the simplicity of the restaurant.
Price - 9/10
Location - 10/10
Service - 10/10
Taste - 9/10
Ambience -9/10
Final verdict - A must visit restaurant in Hudson lane.
Food is generally good.chinese and Japanese mainly served.i had quite a good experience here.except for the chicken egg salad which had loads of sauce making it difficult to eat.apart from it snacks main course and other delicacies are quite awesome.
Very good awesome original Chinese cuisine staff was especially friendly and brilliant enjoyed my time there meals were very fresh and good depending on your Choice as not every Chinese dish will be suitable to everyone but overall good restaurant not much expensive
Offers a wide variety of delicious and authentic Indian cuisine. The restaurant has a warm and great ambience. Very Vell maintained old establishment for Chinese cuisine lovers with Tibetan influence. In short, soothing environment with delicious food.
Awesome food keep it up. Really loved dal makhani and butter chicken after a long time
