The food was amazing. Loved the Biryani. Great portion size and value for money. The galouti kababs were the best part though. Perfectly cooked and seasoned and tasted delicious.

Have heard a lot about Matkapeer biryani, finally, I visited today & tasted the food. Ordered biryani, Korma & Kebabs. Everything is really very delicious. Being a Muslim I have tasted this kind of biryani & Korma in other places & even functions as well, so Briyani & Korma taste was not new to me. However, Kabab is something which is really unique & awesome. Usually, Shami kababs are softs, here you can taste crispy kabab with a wonderful taste. This kind of Shami kabab is not available everywhere. I am giving 1 extra star just because of Kababs & I am going to visit this place again for sure.

Matkapeer near Pragati Maidan is a hidden gem for authentic Mughlai food. This shop is beside the famous Babu Shahi Bawarchi in Matkapeer and is equally famous for its Kebabs, Biryani's and Korma's. A must visit place for non-veg lovers.
Location: Near Pragati Maidan gate no 6. It is inside the Matkapeer Dargah and is the middle shop on the left.
Parking: There is some parking space available opposite the shops for 6-8 vehicles at a time and it's free.
Ambiance: Hardly anything to boast about. A small shop selling some cold drinks and few other regular items is behind it. More of a take away joint than a sit and have meal joint.
Service: Really quick but may take time when there is rush.
Seating: Since it is more of a takeaway joint so there is limited seat. In fact there is just a small table and 4-5 plastic chairs for seating. But you can have your food inside the car as well.
Food: Along with Biryani's and korma's they also sell kebab's as well which are really juicy and tender. Biryani's are served as per plate as well as per kg's. Half a kilo of biryani is enough for 4-6 people. Preparation is very basic yet taste is better than what is served in some of the 5 star hotels in Delhi. Chicken used is good and the masala used in the preparation is from the time of what was used in Mughal kitchen.
Price: Extremely reasonable and what could be termed as cheap. Half a kilo of chicken biryani and korma will cost less than 600 and can easily feed 8 people. So ideal for big parties at home.
Overall an awesome place for non-veg lovers who will die for some real good Biryanis. Veggies please look somewhere else. Must visit once and you will keep coming back.
This place has been an all time favourite since childhood and the taste is consistently the same which is a rare trait to have. The food here is NonVeg and and Kebabs are mouth melting. The place is strategically placed in a central position which makes it easily accessible to all people.
We had these delicious pocket friendly rolls at Matka Peer today. Matka Peer is a hidden treasure for foodies. It is a really small place in Pragati Maidan adjoining the Dargah Matka Peer. We've been visiting this place since childhood, and have loved it always. They serve finger licking food at affordable prices. It'll be a great alternative for the millennials with month-end problems 😜 But you can visit this place any time of the year for great food.
Their most famous delicacies are their Mutton Korma, Biryani and Rolls. You'll not be disappointed with the taste, we guarantee you!
Ohk so rumali roti and galouti kabab and biryani from Matka Peer is one of my favourite things to eat...it is located near pragati maidan besides the petrol pump in mathura road, you can either park your car and eat inside it or you can have an take away. It's a must try 👌👌👌👌and I assure you that this is tastiest biryani and galouti kabab you will ever have and definitely a hidden Gem not many people know about this.
Food - The Food is amazing it us definitely a must try for all the foodies out there.

Our plan was to have Biriyani from the famous Babu Shahi Bawarchi but unfortunately we were two people and they told that they only serve half plate which would be more than enough for two. So we ran onto this place which was only next to it.
Ordered for Chicken Biriyani, Chicken Korma, Rumali Roti, and Gauloti Kabab Roll. The taste was really great and it was complete value for money, they gave 2 medium sized chicken pieces in a quarter plate of Biriyani.
Writing this review after visiting second time here so one can guess how good the food could be.

The tastiest biryani one can ever eat. And the korma chicken was the best part. The kababs were amazing. It has no proper sitting place though but one can park the car there and eat patiently .

Matka peer is famous for using matkas to get rid of ur negativity and evil eye for Islamic people. But Everybody is welcome to visit this masjid. Biryani is sold along side thus masjid and its tastes good.
An imam sahib also sits here who does "jhaada / utaara" thru Islamic ways and is known for going righteous tasks and not negative activities.

We ordered 2 things, Biryani and Chicken Roll. The Biryani was good but the Chicken Roll was without any sauce, basically just the chicken and the omlette stuffed inside a Paratha.
Overall the experience is good, they should work on their Rolls.

Amazing Biryani and kababs served with khamiri roti. It's an open sitting at Baba matke shah dargah but the biryanis are must try from here. They cater to big orders for both veg and non veg. And there taste is amazing.

Real original taste of mughlai dishes
This is one of the places where I visit every day only for Biryani. They are cooked delicious biryani. If someone going to pragati maidan then visits this place. in the evening or night, you can enjoy his biryani with fresh Air & nature.
Matka peer 8s nice place to have non veg food, winter best time to visit this place. During summer only take away is best option.
