Defence bakery has really good cookies and bread products (which I have tried). Their offering is not limited to just the above but ranges widely.
I am a avid consumer of their wine and chocolate cookies and have had their breads as well. The quality is great and tasted amazing.
Always have been a fan of defence bakery. Especially love their Bonanza pastry and the Banoffee pie. They are a must try. Everything else is delicious too. Their patties especially paneer and chicken are always so fresh and tasty. Not too heavy on the pocket and always fresh and delicious, defence bakery is a must try.
One of the few oldest places which still serve great breads and cakes. They have evolved with time and now have everything. What i love about this place is the taste is still the same i used to have when i was young. Going to someone's house take a hamper from here and u are sorted!
Every bakery stuff is good here. I tried baked paneer roll. Tasted like homemade paneer bhurji sandwich in desi ghee, honestly! Having said that, I'm sure you all can imagine the taste. If u like that ghee taste, then this is surely good to quick grab!
This outlet located at a busiest food street of the Greater Kailash II M block market. It looks very small from the outside but once you get inside the outlet you will get huge product range, rustic old English bakery ambience. They have a live cake making section inside the outlet which will keep your foodie spirit high.I tried their chicken sausage Roll which was perfectly baked. Sausage was juicy & outer coating was soft not chewy. It was a great experience of being there.
Loved the paneer patty! It was the tastiest I have ever had. Their brownie and sanchwich were good too. It was a filling evening meal. And the staff was courteous.
I had heard about Defence Bakery before and when i saw it, i couldn't resist myself to try out something from here. It has a lovely ambience inside out with lots of varieties to offer. I ordered an almond pie and the server asked me if i wanted to get it baked. He actually baked more than what was needed and when i confronted the same, i was surprised to see their customer service level when they changed it without taking even a second. Kudos for that ! Also, the pie tasted extremely good. Will surely try out other things soon.
It’s a warm and fuzzy feeling every time you go to defence bakery, brings in so much nostalgia. I love their breads , patties and cookies. The chicken patty reminds me of school days. Finally they have ventured out of the Defence Colony market and I am glad about that. Nothing has changed over the years. So ya , if you feel like revisiting a time when there were no fancy bakeries that are there now , a visit is a must.
chicken tikka sandwich. Here the secret is the boneless chicken well mixed with the masala and when putten in the bread and grilled gives a wonderful taste.
Have always been fond of coming to this bakery and munch some of their bakery 🥯 products . It’s been long long time can’t exactly recall but yeah but from childhood and till now still fond of defence bakery breads , sandwiches 🥪, almond butter , cookies 🍪, cakes 🎂, and many more . Great that apart from the only outlet at defence market , they opened new outlets in different areas of the city and the products and menu items have increased and the quality and taste still remains delicious 😋, ambience is good, service is friendly and overall standards are well maintained.
Ordered a chocolate cake for new year celebrations. Good taste, and pretty decoration, but didn’t feel value for money. Then again, GK is a pricey location, so no arguments there.
Cupcakes, pastries, puffs, cakes - you name it and these guys ace it. Their mud pie is to die for, as is their vanilla chocolate chip cupcake. I keep returning to this bakery ever so often and I'm never disappointed.
It's an awesome place. The aroma is lovely. The cookies out of this world - especially chocolate chip and blueberry. The cakes are also good. Have been been there plenty of times - never disappointed
Tried the meringue lemon tart at the newly opened chain of defence bakery in mblock market gk. This was my first try at tart so i dont think its right of me to review it. Nevertheless, it doesn't hurt to pass on the information. Besides tarts there are so many other baked goods that defence bakery has to offer. They have sandwiches, croissants, pastries, all fresh and delicious at affordable prices.

Defence Bakery has a lot of history attached to it. It was started by Late Mr. Dhingra who migrated from Multan to India during Partition. The first shop came into being in Defence Colony in early 60 and probably that’s why they are named Defence Bakery!
Their cookies are worth dying for and the taste has remained intact from time till date which is some consistency to boast of. Infact all the goodies they bake and produce are impeccably crafted and diligently followed old recipes whose quality standards they adhere to, strictly 😊
They are one of the first to introduce whole wheat bread in Delhi in early 90s! Its their dedication adherence to standards and uncompromising eye towards quality is what makes them be in the fore front of that legendary state which brings back nostalgia. Both their fast food and bakery products are absolute gems 😃
Simply put, they know how to serve you their goodies, they bring you their rich tradition to fore front in an unassuming yet endearing way which makes you feel at home when it comes to indulging in their mouth watering eatables 😎

I have been visiting this place since a really long time now and it is one of my favorites. They serves a variety of bakery items at a reasonable price. I love all their stuff, the coconut macaroons, cinnamon rolls, mini doughnuts, multi grain bread and cinnamon rolls are my a time favorite.

Defence bakery has established itself has a brand since when it set up in Defence Colony. This is also a franchise restaurant and I was surprised to see that the variety they served at the outlet was at par with the one in Def col. I tried the chicken quiche and walnut tart. They were as good as expected and the were thoughtfully priced.
I like this bakery so much. Everytime, I end up getting so many suprises in terms of their flavours. Their savoury items are equally tempting. Place is really reasonable, it value for money. I love visiting this place and enjoy a lot eating.
I have always been to the one at defence colony and this is the first time I tried this outlet and i must say am not disappointed. It's same consistent taste.

You must try their breads, they are drool worthy. The croissant and the cheese jalapeno bread as per me is a must try. I had the french baguette as well but that was just ok. The quiches are good too with perfectly crumbly crust and cheesy filling..

What a wonderful bakery it is, its non other defence bakery. Everytime I go and eat fresh pastries, sandwiches and so many other things. Best thing is their opera pastry and red valvet.

I walked into this bakery in M block today and loved this. It's super pretty and serves some delicious cakes at average prices which makes it even better.
I had a pineapple pastery, chocolate truffle cake and pastries and loved the taste. Its luxurious and rich cream is amazing and irresistible. A must try.

Defense Bakery have moved to a new location within the market. Much better experience, bigger display area, some limited place to hang out and munch planned, more space to move around.
The new display area does more justice to the vast spread they have on offer - delicious quiches, sandwiches, cakes, pastries and other goodies they are famous for.

This bakery popular in defence colony has a small outlet in greater Kailash market. Not a very popular outlet, they serve the same items as in defence colony. They don't have seating space, so you can opt this for take away! Affordably priced and top notch quality is what you can expect. Recently they have introduced various dips and savoury items like patties, small sized pizza, hot dogs and many more things to satisfy your munchies. Their Muffins are a must-have and are not the usual small size you see everywhere. Banoffee Pie, Tiramisu, and Blueberry cake slice is surely not to be missed. Do try the Hummus and Garlic Curd Dip.

After a bit of strolling at GK 2 I came across this bakery and I was not disappointed. The pastries are to die for. Loved the Banoffee pie... butter cookies , tarts and the mini buns! Totally recommend this place and the price is quite reasonable too!

After the departure of The Red Moon Bakery this is the place that has the best breads in the area. Their sponge cake and pastries are of a decent standard.
Their staff is courteous and it's always got customers so you know that there is a turnover assuring freshness.

Now this place is a heritage it has been there since ages. We get all our breads and cookies from here.
The breads are soft freshly prepared and are cut in front of your eyes, depending on weather you want thin slices or thick.
The things i love in the place: their "Naan Khataai cookies", "jam cookies" , "jujups" .
Now something about jujups i have a weakness for them. they are soft jelly like candies which are sugar coated. believe me every bite is a paradise.
The best thing about the place is its very very reasonable. and the stuff is highly trustworthy.
Great place to get different kinds of breads and buns and pizza base etc. Good variety and always fresh. Also love their fresh hummus. Patties and sandwiches are not bad either. Surprisingly never tried their cakes or desserts. That's next on my list.
The special, neighbourhood fix when I'm craving sweet delights. I love this little bakery, the 'smallness' of it makes it cute. I have bought bread from here before, but it's the dessert that really makes this place special for me. I especially love the tiramisu, rum ball is quite nice too - the lemon tart, however, was not nice. It tasted like some medicine I had to take as a child, please look into the quality of lemon tarts! The tiramisu, however, is top notch, and I am addicted to it by now. This may be controversial, but I find the quality of certain desserts in the GK branch to be far superior to the def col branch - particularly my staple, the tiramisu. It may be because the other outlet is far busier, but the tiramisu here is much, much better.

As one who has tasted many a custard trifle and lemon soufle ( amongst other soufles), I was pleasntly surprised to find that Defence bakery had the tang of their lemon soufle absolutely right. Their custard trifle was rich in a a variety of fresh fruit, with the selection of fruit and its arrangement designed to give a twist in the taste. It was a pleasing experience.
Ordered my son's Birthday cake from this place.i was suggested chocolate truffle and i ordered the same with a photo print of spiderman.Well to be honest i was skeptical about the look n feel of cake as well as the taste.But to my surprise everything was in place and that chocolate truffle was heavenlicious!!!!!It was moist perfectly baked and no overdose of icing but at the same time had these amazing layers of chocolate ganache between the cake.I am extremely delighted and you made me a happy n content customer with your good quality n best tasting cake!I found the cake affordable and good value for money. And very good quality.

Defence Bakery in GK 2 is right next to my workplace. I love their breads, their cheesecakes, and their sandwiches. Whenever me and my colleagues are looking to grab a quick bite or want to treat ourselves to a dessert, we end up going to DB. The stock is always fresh and yummy.

People who have a sweet tooth know what a bakery means to them and that's what this place means to me, I have tried every thing they offer and except a few it can be easily said that they know their work really well. the most amazing thing is their rum cakes which are made by them at special orders, they are surely a delight. their products are fresh and mouth watering, comparing it with other bakeries they do need to add to their variety a bit.
I have never rated any restaurants, pubs 5 before this one. This one is my favourite, even knowing they can not deliver stiff to CR Park. But I love their cozy small store with breads on display and tarts to hypnotise you and quiches to make you drool. Quality 5/5, service 5/5 and location, you need to look for it though not on major out lanes.... Pinch to pocket? naaah, never been for me since I love their products

This bakery is supposedly one of the oldest in towns with their original branch in Defence Colony. This branch of theirs is situated in the back lanes of M-Block market of GK-II. I was in this area for some work and came here to satiate my sweet tooth after having lunch elsewhere.
They have various cakes, pastries, chocolates, breads and biscuits to offer and the prices are minimal considering the locality.
I tried their Veg Burger(well it looked tempting so had it as extended lunch :P), truffle pastry and choco lava. While the burger was average as it was not freshly made but just re-heated, the pastry and the choco lava were great. Little volcano shaped choco lava oozes out liquid chocolate at every dig. Even though the taste was good but both the truffle and choco lava tasted almost same with the slight difference in taste just because of the difference in temperature. Even though the owner said they are different I couldn't buy that.
Hoping to try their tempting looking Mud Cake and Banoffee Pie on my next visit!

The prices are also right and the loyal customer base just keeps growing. The GK-2 outlet is way better than the Defence Colony one because the staff here are very courteous, prompt and gentle.

This bakery has somehow ended up as a life saver to all the residents living in and around gk and alaknanda, as open oven was the only other bakery that was serving quality products. Defence bakery is set up in a very small area, but they have utilised the space well. An individual would find most things that he/she would look for in a bakery here.The quish, truffles and cookies are amazing, i like their sponge cake too.

I've been getting my breads from this bakery for a while now! The jumbo brown, pita pocket and the garlic bread is what I purchase Atleast twice a week. Absolutely fresh!
The jumbo brown bread makes the perfect sized sandwich for a carb lover like myself. A ham and cheese being my choice.
The pita pocket are for the kids who love the humous cooked by my mother and the Garlic bread is for the Bruschettas I treat myself regularly.

Hidden in a corner by lane of the M block gk2 market, their chicken sandwiches are easy. The chocolate tarts are to die for and one isn't always enough.
Pros : A good place to have some quickies or snacks. The cakes are also good.
Cons : Not a very big bakery, it's like really small.
Overall : A really good bakery with nice cakes and sandwiches.
My Favourite Item : Chicken Patty, Chicken Sandwich and Chocolate Truffle Pastry.

I had some work in GK 2, and I was hoping to drop into Whipped to try their desserts since i had heard good reviews about the place from a lot of people.
But in trying to find a parking spot in the every busy 'M' block market, I perchance happened the glance Defence Bakery in one of the by lanes and was intrigued since it is one of Delhi's most famous bakeries in the same league as Wenger's, Maxim's, Angels in my Kitchen, etc., and I had never tried it before.
On entering I realised this is mostly a pick up place for food, with no tables or chairs for seating. They have kept the usual menu of desserts, biscuits, cookies, breads, and other basic savoury items like quiche, sandwich, etc.
I had a limited appetite so i tried their Rum ball which was utterly delicious and one of the best I have ever had and packed some chocolate truffle styled pastries for home.
My family also really enjoyed the pastries I got for them.
I would definitely rate them in the same league as Maxim's, another of my favourites in South Delhi.
Hopefully in the near future, I can drop into their original shop in Defence Colony.

Well it's a very old bakery located in the starting point of GK-2 Market from entry gate. I liked the food, staff is attentive and take care of desserts as asked by you like heating up, what kind of coffe you like. I liked the freshness of product.
Mud pie cake and cinnamon roll is highly recommended. Only thing I didn't like is that they didn't have cinnamon to put in coffee because of which I am deducting a star. Coz cinnamon is very important for black coffee. Bon Appetite!
I had ordered 1.5 kg Chocolate truffle(eggless) cake with design to celebrate bond of friendship.We were having get together of school friends and some of us were meeting after 2 decades.

This ensures that it remains crowded and is indeed a very popular destination to stop and pick up something between your office and home among the locals!
The Paneer and Mushroom patty are good. But they don't have Tea to drink along with Patties. They only serve hot coffee. Sometimes if you want to drink tea - you can't have it as Defence bakery.
