Whenever I want to try some South Indian food that time New Madras Cafe is always my first choice. Masala Dosa is my all time favourite and this time I ordered veg noodles and vada with sambhar, both were very great in taste. Highly recommended for everyone.
Fast service and a good South Indian food!!
if Youuu wanna get some typical type of south indian food and delicious food this is a mustt place to visit in vikaspuri

Masala dosa is the best dosa available here
Great little place to satiate your tastebuds for South Indian food. Their masala dosa and onion uttampam is my favourite but what stands out for me is their veg chowmein. A must try for vegetarians and South Indian food lovers.
So I had my food ordered from this place. I ordered Onion masala dosa, Rawa onion masala dosa and chilli garlic noodles. I really liked their dosa and specially their sambar was really tasty. And I even enjoyed their noodles, it was finely cooked. I will definitely like to order again.
Although they are dosa specialist as the name indicates, but I got a chance to eat Chinese only so far. Swear upon anyone, the best chilly garlic noodles in vikaspuri. Have tried all the carts, vans, fine ones, but this one was the best. How did I happen to chance upon. While i was dieting, i was crossing the street and the aroma of chowmein while cooking got struck in my nostrils so hard that I decided when i would cheat, this would be the place. And cheat meal was completely worth it.
Tiny spot, no doubt you won’t get that rich ambience here. But food is what matters and taste ofcourse. They score well in these fields. Mix veg Rawa butter paneer masala dosa is my personal favourite. Sometimes it gets too heavy for a girl like me.
One of my favorite places to order South Indian food which I can never get bored of..
No words to appreciate their consistency over the years!
A small but authentic cafe. The food they provide is really tasty . Priced decently.
I really like the quality as well quantity of food they provide. Eating from here since 20 years . All time favourites idli sambhar, wada , masala dosa , veg chowmein , family masala dosa.
The sambhar they make is something really tasty. Had such a tasty one at very few places. I love the concept of family dosa . 2-3 people can comfortably eat it ending up with full stomachs .
Sambar they serve is really delicious .
Consistently good, can say so as their masala dosa and veg chowmein have been my favourites since my school days.
The cafe still looks like it was in the 90's but is well
Maintained and the service is quick, efficient and polite.
Good place to get south indian cuisine, has good masala dosa and idli vadas. Also gives you the chutney to have with them. Has a place to sit in and prefer to sit in than order as the dosas become soggy and soft if they are packed
They are the best south indian dish makers in this area. Their masala dosa is their speciality and i always love to go there. Although they have small kiosk for it
Their Sambar has stood the test of time and so have their idlis, vadhas and Uthpams! And if you are looking for Indian chowm-ein, Look no further!! :D
I grew up eating the dosas, idlis and chowmein from here. Need I say more :) The place is a decent joint for a reasonable meal for the entire family. Masala dosa and chowmein are quite tasty and the quantity of food served is pretty good for the price. The seating is not that great, but its only because its more of a take away joint. Highly recommended for a low priced and high on taste food.
Sassta, Tasty and Tikaau south Indian food - would be an apt one line description that summarizes it.
Anyone who grew up in delhi or has been living in delhi for a while will swear by the amazing variety of food that one gets here. Easily one of the best cities to pamper your taste buds, it caters to all all - cheapest to super expensive, casual diner to highly discerning with plethora of cuisines from all over the country.
When one gets bored and disappointed by the so called authentic south Indian restaurants burning a hole in your pocket( where they impress you with the ambience but ignore the taste) it's time to head to a cheap local south Indian joint to stir up the taste buds.
New madras Cafe is one such joint. I have literally grown up eating the dosas , idlies and uthapams here. The prices are very reasonable, quantity is more than sufficient and the taste is phenomenal. What could possibly be a typical delhi thing - this south Indian joint is also famous for the chowmein it serves :-)
For 80 odd bucks you get delectable veg chowmein with portions sufficient to fill up to grown adults.
Overall -
1. Ambience - 2
2. Taste - 4
3. Price - 5
4. Service - 4
