This is a place where we all can eat quality & tasty food at less cost...the taste was amazing & the delivery also seems to be very quick...really I enjoyed the food..
It is my go to place for South Indian in Old Rajinder Nagar area. A small shop with a small sitting area with 4 tables, and reliable home delivery, they serve the most value for money meals.
The idli sambhar priced at ₹50 is perfect - both for the pocket and the taste buds. Special mention to the tamarind rice which is served with sambhar and chutney and is right balance of tangy and spice.
All in all, cannot get enough of the place. It’s my most basic comfort food when in the area.
in the evening whenever we wish to have south indian snacks, madras cafe is the name on the top of our list. the original south indian taste that we get here is found nowhere else. the white coconut chutney is so authentic and rich in flavor that it is totally unmatched.
The best place to have south indian food from.❤ I have been eating south indian dishes like vada , idli and different varieties of utapam and dosas from this place since childhood.🤗 Apart from these they also serve lemon rice and awesome chowmein which is a must try😍😍
The food is amazing and it is economical too.☺
Ambiance and sitting arrangement is fair.☺
Madras Cafe is one of the few places I trust with my breakfast or untimely snack cravings! It's NOT the best place for south Indian food, but you can rely on it to deliver a fairly good taste! There are very few places as pocket friendly and good with the taste as Madras cafe around ORN. Cafe is not too fancy to have good-long lingerings or unions with it's limited and ordinary seating space, but you can always opt for home delivery! Coconut and spicy chatnees they serve along with the dishes, is the most amazing ones I've ever had in any south Indian cafe.( Do ask for extras!) Overall, it's a nice place to order food from without having to worry about your pocket!
Things I like from this place:
1. Udit wada (Medu wada)
2. Lemon rice n curd rice
3. Masala Dosa
PS: If you're going for Dosa, consider visiting the place instead of home delivery for the better experience!
Good south Indian cousine... But appears little expensive... Better to have dosa in situ... Variety is good.... Deliver even for one plate at times in Rajendra Nagar area
Reasonable price and has maintained quality till date. Its been more than 2 years now and I always order my brkfst from here majority of the time.
One of my fav south Indian food shop in Old Rajinder Nagar ... Mostly I go to this shop whenever i am visiting Nanakar Gurudwara .. For me their sambar is little bit different from other shops i have tried so far and their sambar has a flavour of asafetida .. I also like their coconut chutney .. This is small shop so sitting space is not ample .. just couple of table and most of the time you have to share table with others ... or you can stand and eat ... I have tried Masala Dosa, Butter Plain Dosa, Mysore Dosa, Rawa Masala Dosa, Onion Masala Doa , Uttapam, Idli ... One thing i have never tried is Curd Vada .. . Can anybody tell me how it tastes like ???
This is the place if you want to order cheap south Indian food in Old Rajinder Nagar. Delivery is super fast. Sometimes even in 10-15 minutes if you live nearby. The sitting area isn't great.
Its good. If you live in Rajinder nagar and want some south Indian food which tastes good and is cheap and you don't want to walk much.. This is the place to go.
There are better places in less than a km for south Indian dishes.. But this ain't bad either.
The siiting space should be increased otherwise the quality, quantity and price is nice..
Good south Indian food. Bit cramped though. Would only order from here to eat in the comfort of home
First time try South Indian food. And it was amazing experience of vada and dosa, sambhar
We ordered 3 plates of sambhar and idli
The idli were big , fluffy and tasty
The white coconut and the orange chutney was good
The quantity is good and the pricing is also decent
The sambhar could have been slightly better
All in all good experience
My all time fav place for real south indian food
Superb authentic south indian... Age old shop, but they give you fresh food.
Parking is am issue so be prepared to fiddle here n there.
A small South indian cafe near Sri Ganga Ram hospital. Why did I go ? Hospital canteen had mad prices. This cafe ? genuine prices, Authentic south indian taste, near to hospital (10 mins walk). Must try 👍
Very good food . South Indian flavours . Vada idli and dosa . Authentic place to experience the south India flavours . Very tiny and cosy sitting are with pleasant staff who serve the food in ultra fast ~5 mins . I wish they had chai too .
Excellent good..People won't find great eating joint as such but you can take away or order online..Special masala dosa is very delicious

I stay near by this and having there dosas and variety since long ,has awesome taste inspite of far from market.
4 Stars just for food. Food is awesome. But they don't have ample sitting arrangement you may have to share table with other unknown visitors. You can take away if you wish.
Small place but great taste. Loved the Rava dosa and Masala Dosa here. Sambar is good too.
Dosa and Vada are Super Tasty. Chutni is Yummy specially Red one
Vadas could be better...not crispy ..
Hygenic and quality food items

Probably the best south Indian restaurant in old rajinder nagar considering budget.
