While crossing saket it is a place where you can try south Indian food at affordable price
its been about 27-28 years now I've been visiting there whenever it comes to dosa this is my fav place.
Their dosas are very tasty. They have stands pn which you can stand and eat but no sitting place which is the only lacking point, otherwise their food quality and taste is amazing!
In my recent visit to Saket, I happened to visit Kanagam South Indian to have Masala Dosa which was quite famous. I was thrilled to taste dosa and as soon as it came, it smelled heavenly. Dosa was as crisp as needed, sambar was too good. Loved the taste totally.
Definitely visiting here again.
Rating-5/5

Kanagam Fast Food is just a small stall on Mandir Marg, Saket - with a limited menu of some south indian delicacies, they cook satisfing Dosa's and utappam !!,
.
My favourite is Masala Dosa - they make it fluffy and Crispy - just like the one you get in Bangalore. .
All time goodness !
This place is famous for its dosa. It is always crowded .
We had masala dosa.
I felt that the size is small .
The masala was properly mashed and in enough amount.
Sambhar- was yummy.
Chutney was good too..
Overall a great one
Must try.
Always same test no change. It's good because no body wants to loos his test . Lots off people change after take some success. But that people is also very good.
The place is just a small stall on the roadside but they are masters of South Indian food. Definitely a pocket friendly joint. Everybody must must try this road side stall near saket bus stand.
Its simply wow place. Truly more than value for money food; be it quantity, quality and service + plus they don't charge for extra sambhar or chutney. If you are looking for authentic south Indian food this is the place to be in. Don't judge the place by its look. 5 stars for it.
The place is just a small stall on the roadside but don't get fooled by their look. They are masters of South Indian food and their dosa is just love. Value for money
Great place for a quick south indian snack. The dosas are really good served hot and fresh with a great sambar... and pocket friendly. Quick service too.....
⏺️ Food - I like the Dosas here, masala dosa is too tasty, and though is the sambhar, however they lack the sweet chutney u see, we usually get in the southern side. Overall huge Dosas, satisfying!
⏺️Service - too quick, and good.
⏺️Location- very easy to locate, this place is always crowded but then still they manage that u don't have to wait for long.
⏺️Place- I usually get parcels from here, coz this is more like a takeaway place.
⏺️Price - definitely a pocket friendly joint!
This is a true hidden gem.. Surprised that it is rated just 3.5
Everything is great here the idli, dosa, sambar, utthapam.
Everybody must must try this road side stall
Serving on a Thela, the place serves some really lip smacking economical dosas, idlis, and vadas. The masala dosa was really crispy and the masala inside was full of flavours. The chutney however can be improved upon.
Have eaten at this popular roadside outlet twice. They open after noon and people line up in advance. Given the high footfall at this place, small shops offering chips, cold drinks have also come up. There is no seating, still it's frequented by individuals and families alike. Have tried their dosas, idli and vada - found all items fresh, delicious and value for money. Would like to make a special mention of their sambhar, which is different and flavorful. Will surely revisit whenever I am around and try new items. Recommended for foodies with high immunity :)
I have ordered paneer dosa, vada idali plain and onion uttapam. Food was good and awesome.
Specially paneer dosa. I love that awesome 😁😁😁.@pawan

I live nearby and am a usual customer here great combination of reasonable price along with some great taste. Love the taste . Ordered masala dosa and idli. Will totally recommend this place to everyone
Counting memories not calories
I stopped by here to have South Indian dish. I ordered masala shoes and idli it was very good. Will totally recommend this to everyone as it good in taste and very reasonable
Small place near pvr anupam saket. Not that easy to find. It is small shop (redi) on the road itself. In the afternoon you can easily spot it by the rush or just follow Google maps, it will take you there.
As I said it's a redi so don't expect anything in terms of ambience. You have to buy a token first to get your food and there are limited tables to stand (none to sit).
Food here is very good and cheap. You can order anything from Dosa to uttapam, everything is excellent and very heavy. One is more than enough for a person.
The guy does take his time to give out the order so have to constantly remind him that your order is pending. Overall a great place, have been going there regularly and love it. Good food at cheap prices.
If you want to grab some quick South Indian cuisine in nearby place at a very reasonable price then try this place . masala dhosa and idli were great.
Kanagam South Indian is an outlet which serves some great dhosa and idli. I have been ordering from here for past some time and is never disappointed. Love the taste
I have been to kanagam south indian some times and was a great experience and will recommend to everyone. Masala dhosa, idli is a must try here
I visited them recently on my way home and loved the quality they are serving will recommend to everyone. Masala dosa here is a must try and even the idli is also good.
This south Indian stall (thela) has been serving crispy dosas, fluffy idlis and utthapams for the longest time and has a loyal following. The spicy sambar is fab and hits the spot on a cold wintry evening. The consistency of the coconut chutney can be better though !! I generally request them to give me a couple of "sookhi" lal mirchi with my dosas. A bite of the crunchy lal mirchi goes really well with dosas, exaggerates the taste and takes it to the next level !! Yum !! Definitely try the place if you have not done it as yet !!

One of the cheap and best place for South Indian food in south Delhi. Now sitting space but even then people like its quality of food. Preferable to get the food packed. They have variety of dosas and idli, vada and Uttpam. Specialty is freshness of food they put stall around 3 in the afternoon and all food stuff ends by 9:30 max 10 pm. Must try for people staying in and around Saket Delhi.
This place is a south Indian street food joint run by some south Indian people. If hygiene is your concern than please avoid this place and if taste is your priority then give a try to this place. They have very limited options in their menu but the prices are reasonable. I ordered a masala dosa. Although it tasted good but the chef put extra oil over it in the hurry of completing other orders. They have token system also due to huge crowd coming at this place. All and all, its a nice place for South Indian food.
Did not know that kanagam was listed on zomato. It's a small road side eatery in saket close to pvr anupam complex. I was walking past this road and found quite a few people standing Nd enjoying south Indian food at this place. I decided to give the place a try. Ordered a plain dosa. What a taste. Everything was super about the food. Be it sambhar, coconut chatni Nd of course the dosa. Amazing. The team is pretty skilled Nd all of them are from Tamil nadu (Madurai to be precise).
I highly recommend this place for people who are not that fuzzy about the place but are looking for authentic south Indian food. I hardly give a 4.5 but this truly deserves despite the ordinary ambience.
Well, it needs no comments. Just go and try. I keep praising and promoting this vendor so much that some of my friends doubt if i am a business partner of kanagam.
It just makes very different masala dosas and sambhar tat you won't find it anywhere else. Very crispy dosa with a very yum aloo and onion stuffing.
It is a random street stall in pushp vihar area..still mentioned in zomato app..does mean tat it has got something.
My personal favourite for masala dosa. Eating it since my childhood when its price was Rs 15. Now it is Rs 60. But i still don't mind.
One suggestion.. don't get it packed...the real taste is in eating there only..
This is a small vendor near the saket mall. I usually stop here for delicious South Indian food. You can also take takeaways and enjoy your meal at home. Their dosas are delicious and one is more than enough for a full meal. But my favourite is their idli. I lie how they pour chutney and sambar on it as it just makes the idli soft and full of flavour. Also their quality and freshness is remarkable.
I never knew that they were on zomato coz this was my .. I guess 37th or 38th visit to this stall... Near to saket courts next lane,... This place never made me disappoint, let it be frnz or family everyone is happy to eat from this stall.
One of the yummiest dosas and uttapam I have had was from this place. It was my 1st day and ever since that dy .. Thia place has been my persistent visiting venue.
Token se milta hai south Indian.... Crowded and delicious are two major traits of this stall.
Love it everytime. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))
The outlet is very near to my place and I happen to visit it almost every 2 weeks. And I've always seen it heavily crowded, with ppl teeming around it, much to the chargin of the traffic!
The dosas are mouth watering, with the paneer dosa being the best. It is the first one to get finished among the daily menu items. The location of the outlet- just along the Mandir Marg- suitably compliments the food to make it such a popular joint.
If you happen to be around PVR Saket and your tummy yearns for a fulfilling platter of Masala Dosa which doesn't put a hole in your pocket then do come to this roadside stall.
The place is usually crowded in the evening and you would also get to see elite cars stopping by its side to get a quick bite.
The dosa is tasty and crunchy too. Sambhar could be better though. Romba Taste Ayirikku.
Mr Ratan Tata once said " We wish to sit in Taj and Marriot with elite people but we enjoy roadside tea with friends and people we love".
Wow, this is another South Indian wala in the PVR SAKET area. The other one is in front of Delhi Municipal School (Anupam Saket Bus stop). It's been there since years though I happened to come here for the first time. The food ( Masala Dosa ) is superb. Food is cheap and quality is best in that price. Crowded mostly in the evening, you may have to wait but it would be worth it. One thing which I noticed was the person who was chopping the onion like a machine and that too while talking (want to learn his style). Another important thing is keep an eye on your Bike or Car as they have a person specially dedicated to ensure safety.
My beginning quote sits perfectly with this simple and humble place........
Surprised to see this on zomato. A road side stall that is always crowded. Decided to have snacks cum dinner. Really impressive taste of sambhar. Loved the wada sambhar. Masala dosa was also good enough. Overall, good experience. Would surely visit it again and again, coz now i know why is this place always so crowded.
Cheers Anna !!!

Kanagam is actually a village in Chennai, for those who dont know, because even i had no idea what it is at my first visit to this place. Kanagam is a small road side shop in Saket on the same road where Sheraton New Delhi is situated, which sells quality south indian food for cheap prices. Every item sold here has a standard, awesome in taste, prepared just right, the uttapam is my favourite here, they make uttapam loaded with cabbage, onions, tomatoes etc and unusually they fill it with the same potato masala used inside of the dosa which is very hearty of them all of this just for 60/-. must try :))
Their sambar is too thin and a bit extra sour which is just okay to taste nothing too special. The dosa is very good, crisp, light
brown from outside, the crispness of the dosa awesomely gels with the masala's taste. Idli here is moist, soft, served with sambar and white coconut chutney. Vada is good crisp, a full paisa vasool, you will enjoy it along with sambar and white chutney.
All summed up : service - 4/5, value for money 4.5/5, taste 4/5, ambience : looking at the prices and taste, the hearty service, i hardly care about it.
I have been eating at Kanagam ever since it was a thela (it has evolved to almost a bigger kiosk now). Every time I have used this road in Saket, I have either stopped to eat or have taken stuff home from Kanagam. Their masala dosas, idlis and vada have always been outstanding. The sambhar simply takes the cake. Its perfectly soured with plenty of vegetables in it. Unique about their masala dosas is that apart from the usual filling of potatoes based masala, these guys add some onions right on top of it giving each bite a nice touch of crunch. The menu at Kanagam is short and all items are worth trying.
To Sum-It-Up: Its a must visit for good quality and "cheap" South Indian grub.
A road side dhaba , i have been noticing for last many years that it is always crowded. It is a very small dhabha rather a thela selling south indian cuisine. The taste of the food is pretty ok but it is not hygienic at all. The dosas and the vadas are popular among people who eat here. There are lots of people who are waiting at the bus stand who eat here. I am surprised to note that there are always people standing and eating here , so i guess they have their set of loyal customers.
Like everyone else, I had heard great reviews of this place, and every time I went to Select City Walk, I intended to drop in, but then the plan always got overshadowed by the more posh options at the CityWalk. However, yesterday, after a hurried shopping spree, we were so ready to leave the spilling CityWalk. And our drive out, we spotted this guy! We just stopped the car, got out, and ordered for an onion masala dosa and an a mix plate of idli/vada sambar.
A roadside stall, with merely basic amenities, and humble resources, dished out such delicious and fresh food! The onion masala dosa was so good, it really beat the taste of some of the better known South Indian brands in the city. The dosa batter was thicker than the paper ones available at sit down restaurants, yet, so crisp. The sambar was tangy, exactly how I love it. And the coconut chutney was good too, served cold. The idli and vada were very fresh. Idli was not very soft but I really liked it, as it was a bit more authentic, I believe. I am not a great fan of vada, so I can't really comment on the taste, but it surely was very fresh.
We really enjoyed the food, and would like to eat here again. No ambiance but very good, quick service.
This place has been where it is since I was a kid. It was very close our family home so it was a part of our family dinners very often. All they have is a tiny rickshaw kind of a thing and 4-5guys man the whole thing but don't go on the appearance coz the food will blow you away with the flavors. The sambhar is one of the best I've had in North India, the idlis are soft and fluffy while the dosa is crisp and light. This place is a heaven for south Indian food lovers and its so cheap for the kind of taste they offer...way to go guys!
Well... the taste will seriously take you to the southern part of india. Believe it or not dosa here is way better than any other fancy looking restaurent around saket. It is not a restaurant but its like take away. The price is very less as compared to its taste and if i am not wrong kanagam is here since mid 90s
Awesome Street Dosa's which i never had in Delhi.. In winter's must go place and you can have it in your car. Dosa's , sambhar and Idli's are simply irresistible. Value for money and gives you fresh no pre- made dosa's . Eat it fresh and warm.
The best thing about street food is you never know what to expect, but more often than not , if is much better than what one gets in fancy joints ...
kanagam is surely one such places , the small street side cart - serves vada, idlis and dosas...very fresh and delectable with true tamil sambar and chutneys ...
service is excellent and there is a certain zen like thing aboiut standing and eating - you small space , your hands defining your cover , not much to talk , nothing else to look at ---blinkered? no focus ....
try kanagam and then tell me
Enjoying since childhood, delicious, mouth watering, check out their food, no one beat their taste, you couldn't find taste of it any other place. First u have to take token then the order. Only one problem parking, think before bringing 4 vehicle. While coming from j-block market road beware currently monkeys roaming there.
I have been coming to this place for the last 15 years. They serve very crisp unique dosas along with very good idli and Vada. The sambar has a very good taste and the chutney is outstanding. Easily one of the best places to have South Indian in Delhi. You do not have the luxury of sitting and eating but the taste is awesome. Highly recommended.
Affordable place, this is the place for any one who loves south Indian breakfast. Although there is no sitting facility but you can stand and eat and takeaway. There Onion uttpam and paneer masala dosa is a must try.
Kanagam fast food in saket is one of the best street dosa shop for those who like dosa, it gives the best taste considering the price and also better then some brand dosa, liked it so much must taste the food here....
Awesome dosa in Saket, lovely taste , must try once.

One of the best South Indian cuisine in South Delhi in the heart of Saket, must try is it's Mysore Masala Dosa and Masala Utthapam, taste of Sambhar is unbeatable, you will not even get this taste in South (I know I am over stating, but try it to believe it!!)
One of the best dosa in delhi. 2 vada is sufficient for 1 person. Sambhar was thik. Good taste in nariyal chatni. Dosa stuffing is little heavy. Location is good. Best place to eat dosa in saket.
Delicious food at super affordable prices. I recommend onion dosa, it’s really good.
This place is famous for its dosa. It is always crowded .
We had masala dosa.
I felt that the size is small .
The masala was properly mashed and in enough amount.
