Wat a discovery .. a must try . In d busy bylanes of Karol Bagh market .. a mix of moving daal batter mixed with corn , shimlamirch , coriander n onion n served hot with khatthi meethi chutney . Used anil butter .. a great alternative to ones averse to omelletes .. a heavenly fare
This is the best moonglet as they say...this is made up of overnight soaked moongdal fried on pan with Amul butter along with mint and cilantro chutney and sauth chutney(sweet) and optional khajur chutney...tastes so great.. can't explain in words..this is why i am writing so much to explain try this oncE

We heard much about it and couldn’t resist to try.

The taste is amazing, its different from moong chilla, its fresh, its pocket friendly.
I had never tried a moonglet, gave this eat joint a try. It was really yummy, with veggies ke capsicum and sweet corner it tasted like a desi pizza! However the aloo chat was not good.. The spices were just awful and aloo wasn’t crispy at all. There is no seating space, it’s a street food joint.
Best chaat point for chaat lovers. We tried double butter moonglet here which was too good in taste and must say that they put a lot butter in that. Price of that was Rs. 100 each which included a special kajoor chutney and the taste of chutney were also good. Must try these moonglet whenever you visit here.
Moonglet not omllete😋
It is a kind of vegetarian omllete 🤣. Batter is of lentils, cooked in butter, topping of chukundar (sugar beets, capsicum, coriander). U will get two complimentary chutneys (sweet and spicy).
It was really good and u must try it for once.
Price ₹70 for single butter and ₹100 for double butter.

I got to know about this place; especially, about the moonglet by 2 fellow foodbloggers (a big thanks to them) and was eager to visit here and have that dish.
So, finally I made it to visit 2 days back.
I had Aloo chaat and Moonglet.

Though I told him to make it less spicy and he does but can't tolerate spice at all so it was bit spicy for me after that !

MOONGLET !
A dish similar as egg omelette but made by moong dal bater.
It is made by a good consistency of moong dal bater (not too runny not too thick) with required veggies (onions, maize seeds etcs.) spread in a pan greased with clarified butter and flipping it 2-3 times (like we do for an omelette).

It is served with 2 chutneys (sauces); one is green chutney and other one is khajur ki chutney.
The khajur ki chutney was the show stealer for me, it tastes sweet and goes perfectly with moonglet.
You can either stand and eat or can takeaway. (I was tired enough so chose to takeaway)

Love love love this place specially for it's super delicious moong dal chill server with khajur chutney. It's simply yummm.... Even their golgappe r too good. Aloo chaat is also delicious. In short all the items they serve r good. But chilla is a must try.
Moonglet is made up of moong dal. Very good in taste it has lot of butter in it which makes it more yummiest very soft and fluffy.😋 worth trying 😋😋
This place is gem for the chat lovers . Their moonglet is must try item . You might have to wait for 5-10 minutes for your chat preparation as their is very much rush .

So we were in Karol Bagh and got the chance to visit KB chaat which is known for its luscious 'moonglets'. Located opposite the Stellato's showroom, the stall is set up at 3pm and keeps serving its various chaat items till 10pm at night. Apart from the 'moonglet', they also sell basic chaat items like Gol Gappe, Aloo tikki, Chole Kulche among others.
In simple terms, 'moonglet' is a moong daal cheela, but at the same time it is so much more than that. It is prepared live and the process is a visual treat. It is made of soaked and ground moong daal, stuffed with onions, capsicum, sweet corn etc. and is cooked solely in layers and layers of butter, later topped with beetroot and coriander. It is fluffy, crispy and full of flavour.
Different varieties of chutneys including that of mint and imli are served with it.
We loved the green chutney however the red chutney was a tad bit too sweet for our palate.
The price of the cheela varies depending on the quantity of the butter. It makes for a perfect healthy evening snack.
It is also easy to reach, the nearest metro station being Karol Bagh on the Blue line. It is normally pretty crowded so patience is a must!

Whoeve says vegetarian food is boring, needs to visit this place. They are a very small joint, but highly innovative and really high on taste and quality.
Their biggest hit is the moonglet. An highly stylised version of the humble moong dal chilla. Their version is fluffy, buttery and pretty wholesome. The varieties of chutney they serve along with the moonglet are lipsmacking as well.
Next time you are in Karol Bagh, do try this dish, you will not be disappointed.
Been wanting to try his moonglet since a long time and now finally got the chance to do so! I ordered his butter moonglet and with their khajoor, imly and green chutney I absolutely enjoyed it so much!
The chaat from this stall is special .they prepare fresh fruit chaat instead for those who take care of their health . The moonglet i have tasted with khatti mithi khajoor ki chutney is damn awsm as hell. So ,i give it a thumbs up nd a 4.5/5
My favourite Street Food Adda. I have been there twice and can visit n no. of times in future. Their moonglet is to die for. Specially double Butter Moonglet served with Khajoor ki Chutney. Generous amount of Veggies and Butter makes you drool when you are waiting for it to be served to you. Aaloo chaat is spicy and is a must try for people who love Chatpata food. Sorry for missing pics. I was too eager to grab a bite. :p

Then came the special food for which the stall is famous-The Moonglett which was made live in style.It was seriously delicious and loved it!

I tried their famous moonglet and I must say it was delicious. Very crispy and full of flavour. A bit too thick I feel because the centre remains soft and would be better if it was thinner so that it would be crispy all over
It is a must visit place when u r in Karolbagh. In the crowded Lanes of Karol bagh this outlet exists. I have tried their Suji ki Panipuri as well as the Famous Moonglet (Veg Version of Omlette). The fluffiest Moonglet ever. The chutney was very tangy. They have two versions of Moonglet one normal butter and the second one is Double butter. Apart from that this place have different types of Chaat options available i.e. Aaloo chaat, Sweet potato Chaat, Fruit Chaat, Aaloo tikki Chaat etc.
Moonglet melted in my mouth. The paanipuri's are as usual.

It was hard to locate this stall, as it is hidden in narrow lanes of Karol bagh. Also, locally it is better known as bittoo chat wala rather than KB.
My friend was craving for moonglet, so we searched it madly on Karol Bagh market.
Even Google maps made us oogle on the roads.
Now come to hygiene part, everything was well covered and veggies used looked quite fresh.
They use amul butter so it gives good impression.
There were using gloves, everything so clean.
Served with khajoor ki Meethi chatni and green pudina chatni.
Filling was of onion, tomatoes, bellpepper, sweetcorn, ginger.
Taste was great, also it was very hot, it was nicely cooked and spiced up. crispy outside but inner core was soft and spongy. Perfect thing for Delhi winter.
Only missing thing was variety of moonglet, they are serving only one.

It's a hidden gem in Karol Bagh..had moonglet yesterday and it was damnn good and very comforting comes with mint chutney and tamarind chutney..and also has khajur ki chutney but u have to pay extra 20rs for that..overall good food..liked it though..at least try it once you'll definitely like it
Tried their Moonglet after hearing a lot about it in social media. Moonglet had the filling of onion, beetroot, ginger, sweet corn, capsicum and dhaniya served with two chutneys- one sweet and other green chutney. The taste is good, more like the taste of tikki chaat but still quite different. They prepare everything fresh and live with amul butter, so, thats really good. Also, they wear hand gloves. So, a big plus for hygiene and health.

KB chaat house is located near Roopak stores in a narrow lane. It’s a cart serving different chaats, Moonglet being the favourite amongst the locals. It is a fluffy moongdal omelette( veg omelette) with filling of different vegetables like corns and capsicum served with green and red chutneys. It was an innovative offering with good taste. The moonglets were very fluffy. This delicious plate comes at just ₹70. A must have while you are shopping in Karol Bagh.

Travelled thirty plus kilometres to get a taste of the famous MOONGLET at KB Chaat Wala. :D
Had a bit of a difficult time trying to locate their stall though. Had to ask a couple of people for directions as it is tucked away in one of the bylanes. But then, will travel for food, right?
Was it worth it? A big yes!
An attempt to describe what a moonglet actually is: Think of a moong daal cheela, only not flat but fluffy like an omelette (no idea how they manage that), filled with veggies. So, essentially a vegetarian omelette made from moong dal. Or a moong daal pancake. It did have a bit of besan cheela undertones but was yummy like hell. The guy will flip one up right in front of you and you can opt for an added oomph by buying the sticky-date chutney for an additional 20 bucks. The chutney is also worth a try I must say.
I also happened to try their golgappas, which were really good as well.

KB chaat wala is very famous food joint like stall shop near by stiletoe. Its popular for moonglet which made by moong dal batter and chopped veggies like corn, capsicum and more. Its cooked in pan like pan cake and served along with green chutney, meethi chutney, even they serve kajur chutney also. They offer golgappe and tikki also.. which is common like other nothing special in that.
But you must be try moonglet once... moong plus omlette.. its a vegetraian omlette like chilla. Totally paisa vasool. One chillas equal to 70 INR.

I had heard about the Moonglet from this place. And indeed it was something unique that I had never eaten before. Priced at just Rs. 50 the moonglet was very fluffy had lots of ghee and vegetables like onion, tomato, capsicum, corn and ginger. It is something one of a kind and totally worth trying out, specially in the chilly winters of Delhi while shopping in karol bagh.

I tried moonglet for the first time at the NBT Food Fest and loved it so i visited there shop for the vary next week to have some more moonglet 😂😂 and golgappe at this place is also good which served with spicey water😍 and the size of the golgappa was also good as comparison to other places ...

I have been eating here since long. Price almost doubled but the rate is amazing. Now the menu is also increased. You will have Aaloo chaat, tikki chole, Gol gappe.

K B Chaat is a snacks stall in karol bagh Market that sells delicious moonglet cheela, aloo chaat and other street food. You must try their moonglet cheela at least once as it is one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten. Though it's very buttery and hence not healthy, but you can enjoy it from time to time. You get the moonglet at just Rs. 100 and it's a filling dish so totally worth your money.
KV chhath is a very famous destination in Karol Bagh for moong let.
As I go there there are lot of Rust but still I get a very good testing food and would love to put go there.
Disadvantage is that like other street food, you have to hold the food in your hand and then you have to eat it there is no any table or anything such that so that's only disappointment rest is very fine.

famous for Golgappa chaat and flying moonlets. this place serving excellent chats.and satisfying your food cravings. Panipuri was worth trying cuz you will never forget the taste.

Delicious delhi street food available here... The moonglet is worth trying atleast once... Priced at 80rs for normal moonglet, it's a delicacy you'd not forget. It's in a by-lane adjacent to 'Stelatoes'. Open till approx 8:30ish in covid times !!
