One of the best south indian food I’ve had in a long time.. the service is prompt and the chutneys are too many (that’s a plus)
Must try..!!
The Chinese section probably is for the crowd who is used to this cuisine but was okayish
I totally loved dining in Udupi sai sarovar. I had a masala dosa, paneer onion uttapam and filtered coffee, it was all 👌💯. The filtered coffee was best. Period. Ritika Sarkar Deepika Sarkar #thebestsouthindian #familyfriendly #pocketfriendly
Clean seating, very convinient to visit the place, good locality, tasty food and soft on pocket prices.
They serve South indian food and don't compromise intaste. Fast service.
We tried paper masala dosa here it's awesome. crispy and yummy.. filling of aalu masala also perfect. And they serve three types of chutney green white and orange with delecious sambar. Ambience also good and peace environment.

as working in the next lane to restro I have been visit/ordered food n number of times.
serves good fresh food, My all time fav. DIWANI HANDi, and Idly's.
Udupi Sai Sarovar is the best South, North, and Chinese restaurant in Lajpat Nagar. I had masala dosa and singapuri chowmein with my family last day. Both items are really delicious. This is the place where you can eat tasty food at reasonable prices.
This is my 2nd time I visited this restaurant. From my side, it is Highly recommended!!
I love this restaurant for family dining. Amazing dosa. Just love it. Local can go and enjoy the food anytime.
Highly Recommended place. In Lajpat jäger part 2.
Chinese .. South Indian .. North Indian all kind of food are here. It’s amazing place.
Delicious South Indian food, delivery within 15-20 minutes if you reside in Lajpat Nagar, though I have not dined in here ever.
It is located in the middle of Central Market, so parking might be an issue.
The quality and quantity both are justified for the prices they charge.
What amazes me is that they never not say NO to even a single item order and deliver it well before time.
Awesome food. Value for money. Authentic south Indian food. The owner is from Udupi, Karnataka so the food has the authentic flavors of South. The north Indian food is too damn good. They don't make tandoori rotis because it's not good for health. They make tawa roti like home.
The food was quite authentic specially the Sona Maysuri rice were served which were traditional in Udupi cuisine. Rawa dosa and there traditional thali is a must eat there.
Masala Dosa was very good .
I would love to go again to taste all kinds of Dosas they serve.
I didn't like Paav Bhaji that much because South Indian food is their speciality so its ok
South indian food is really amazing especially masala dosa. Also, the staff is really polite.
Even the chinese food is good.
Not given 5 star because the north indian food like dal makhini is not so tasty.
Amazing service :)
Best place for economical and delicious south and north Indian foods. People are cool there. No delays for order. Fresh food at reasonable rates

Udupi Sai Sarover located in Central Market, Lajpat Nagar 2 is a pure South Indian delight. Udupi Sai Sarover is our first pick in Lajpat Nagar whenever we crave to have South Indian food. We have been ordering from this place since many years. Writing about our experience of the last two orders, we ordered the special fried idly, butter masala dosa, mixed veg uthappam and tomato rice. Their special fried idly is a must try. Butter masala dosa is one of the items we always order whenever we eat from a south indian restaurant. The aloo stuffing inside the dosa was really good and the dosa was loaded with butter which made it even more delicious. The mixed veg uthappam was a little bland, taste can definitely be improved. Tomato rice was delectable, it is something we can go for number of times here. Tomato rice is served with one papad and raita which goes perfect with the rice. The South Indian dishes are served with sambhar, coconut chutney and tomato chutney. The sambhar comes with right kind of spices and the flavor is well balanced.
The restaurant not only serves good South Indian cuisine but offers delicious North Indian and Chinese cuisines. Personally recommend their special sarover North Indian thali which is sufficient for 2. The prices of the dishes are not too heavy on pocket and the quantity is tummy filling. The delivery is fast too.
Definitely recommended if you are craving for good South Indian food.

My office is nearby, we regularly order lunch from Udupi and every time, the food is good, generously served and rapidly delivered. And it must be hygienic: nobody ever got sick.
Over the years, the quality never went down. I'd say they are very professional.
I recommend Udupi to anyone in the area.
It's our favorite place to snack every time we shop at Lajpat Nagar Market. Similar to every Udupi restaurant, it's ambience is simple, service fast, and food tasty, complete paisa vasool! My favorite is filter coffee!!

Simple, cheap food and very tasty. Onion utthapam, sambhar, rasam are must try. Sevice is also good and quality is awesome. Try there thali also
A good , neat clean place for South Indian lovers in this busy market.
V ordered lemon rice, uttapam & dosa. All the items were well prepared . The staff & ambience is also decent. Overall a good place to visit while in lajpat nagar.
The place best for pure vegetarian (no nonveg is served). I have tried thali but not exactly the same u get in Chennai, but yes fine for Delhi. Paneer pao bhaji, dosa, uttapam and rawa malsala is will be a better option. But don't forget to eat " Dahi Vada" !!!
Great food. Didnt expect a north indian cuisine to be this good at a south indian joint. Loved it. Dal makhni was yumm!! Highly suggest it to all.
I have been to this restaurant almost every time I visit central market. Every time I order a South Indian snack I am not just surprised with the freshness of the ingredients but I am also delighted with the taste of the dish served. It's absolute wow every time. I have not tried anything apart from southern cuisines. So for all South Indian food lovers you can consider this joint as a MECCA of southern cuisines. Best part of the food served is the extra tasty chutneys which are served without any extra cost. I just hope the restaurant never closes and maintains the quality of awesome food that they serve.

Fantastic place to eat good tamilian cuisine ! The place serves hot southern delicacies. Their sambhar is fabulous and idlis are soft. However, the same is not possible when you get it delivered as the dosas gets cold and leathery. So, I would suggest that one eats at the restaurant.
I have been to this place a week back but did not get time to review it here.
This place serves one of the best South Indian food definitely ! 😊 Amazing uttapam and Dosa
South Indian food in Delhi is always a rarity. So, it was a pleasant surprise to see Uduppi hotel in Lajpat Nagar. We had tried Masala Dosa, Sambhar Vada and Dahi Vada from this place.Masala Dosa was awesome. The accompaniment chutneys were also good. Vada was as expected. Nothing special, yet good. But Dahi Vada is not up to the marks. Too sweet Dahi and too less Vada.
Coffee was typical south indian taste.
Over all good enough but not excellent.
Kind of a perfect budget friendly place with great taste. Typical restaurant where the main speciality is South Indian cuisine but you get to binge both North Indian and Chinese food.
It's not a place where it's like you paying 100 bucks and you will be serviced 100 bucks quality. People over there really try their best to give you the best.
Simple place
Good Taste
Good service
Light on pocket
Simple Desi food
Udupi Sai Sarover is a pocket friendly multi cuisine restaurant located in the heart of lajpat Nagar market, which specialises in South Indian cuisine .
location- located in lajpat Nagar market nearby 24 7 store which is easily accessible by lajpat Nagar metro station.
Food - this is one of the best south Indian preparations I have ever had, the food has an authentic taste and all the preparations are thoroughly done.even the North Indian is as good as south indian
must trys- all south indian dishes , Shahid paneer ,dal makhani,
service- service is super quick and they surelyhave a very lovely staff.
overall verdict - after a long shopping day at lajpat Nagar market this is a delight.
:-) keep munching...
When you get tired of shopping u should visit this place for yummy south indian food. Great managment at counter helped us with choice of food ordered masala dosa and mysore masala dosa both were yummy specially the filling inside was also good and spicy. I loved it. Order was served withing 5-6 minutes. Great place if you are looking for value for money. Will be back asap. Thanks guys 😊
Undoubtedly one of the most reliable places in Lajpat Nagar which makes the pragmatic choice of style over substance. Dont let the South Indian name fool you for their north Indian dishes are as tasty and authentic as any place else. Till date, they have not disappointed me even ONCE with their home delivery, goes to show that they are one of the most efficient restaurants going around
Nice food.. And worth a south Indian taste dinner. Not too costly like Sagar Ratna.. But a worth order place. We ordered dosa and idli and vada.. Dosa and idli served here are above average and good.

When traditional flavors cast spell over your taste buds, Desi food feels a lot better than the outlandish grubs. NCR despite having a lot of posh cafes and classy restaurants, does not fall short of options when it comes to delighting us foodies with sober desi preparations. Located in the Central Market of Lajpat Nagar 2, Udupi Sai Sarover is one such place where simple flavors meet up with awesomeness in order to deliver a palatable eating experience.
Have been here a lot of times and have always been a fan of their South Indian.
To make you familiar with some of my all time favorites from Udupi, the list goes as follows-
Mysore Masala Dosa
Mutter Mushroom
Onion Tomato Uttapam
Kadhai Paneer
All of the aforementioned items taste delicious and have always been a delight to have.
If you love eating simple North Indian or South Indian food, Udupi can be a great option.

A family restaurant . Though the interiors were simple but the staff was very generous.
I ordered dry manchurian which was yummy.
Kadhai paneer and their vegetable raita was a must try .
Overall its a nice experience being there with family . One most important thing is it's a budjet friendly restaurant in lajpat nagar market where u can have a proper food after shopping .

Located in the Central Market is yet another casual dining South Indian restaurant serving a rich range of this traditional cuisine. Came to know about this through Zomato on which I keep looking for good South Indian places. As it just has a small outdoor seating available, I usually prefer to opt for the home delivery rather than dining. As already mentioned, their menu comprises items from the south Indian cuisine out of which I ordered the following-
Onion Dosa- Had a spicy masala stuffing with a rich flavor of onion. Tasted fine.
Masala Dosa- I found the sambhar a bit different from the others that I have had earlier, this one has strange
piquant taste and felt good while eating with the crispy dosa.
Onion Tomato Uttapam- Had a fine topping of cooked tomatoes and onions. Tasted okay.
Coconut Dosa- Had coconuts in disproportionate amounts and hence tasted average.
Rawa Plain Dosa- Had a sober taste. Likeable with the tangy sambhar.
So, this was all that I ordered form Udupi Sai Sarover. If you wish to have have a hygienic vegetarian and and a fine South Indian dinner. I feel it would be a safe bet to order from Udupi Sai Sarover.

I have been visiting this outlet since 2010. It has given me many good memory's in college times. It has got itself renovated recently. Its North Indian cuisine which is pure vegetarian (Its plus point) is not too oily & very light on pocket. Very quick service generally . Good value for money restaurant in Central mkt which is generally not the case with most restaurants in Central mkt. clean and hygienic restaurant It should work on its mkting & branding & segment it self as a good Family restaurant in Lajpat nagar which are very few in reality
One of the hidden gems at Lajpat Nagar Market, serves vegetarian fair at par with your Sagar Ratna, Bikanervala etc. Have heard the cooks here are ex Sagar, that's probably the reason of the similarity in taste.
Must visit if you are in this part of the city.
Come here for your fill for South Indian and North Indian vegetarian food.
This is a no-nonsense South Indian resturant which is even run in South Indian style. Both the masala dosa and onion tomato utthapam were quite filling and well made. Along were yummy chutneys and sambhar which were refilled as they got over. The service is responsive and fast.
The restaurant is expensive for the ambience and interiors it has even though the food is good. My only qualm was they pushed the the bill on me without waiting for me to ask for it. Sort of asking us to leave since we were done with food even though the restaurant wasn't exactly crowded.
Might go again if there's urgent craving for good South Indian food in close vicinity.
Udupi Sai Sarovar at Central Market, Lajpat Nagar is not an oft discussed place in foodie circuits. We wonder why! This is our go-to place for vegetarian food and they have recently revamped the restaurant. The place has become even better. We have had dinner here number of times in last 3-4 years and have tried many things in their menu. We love their dosas, lemon rice, curd rice and North Indian thali. Food tastes awesome and is not very greasy, so light on pocket as well as tummy.
This place serves authentic south indian food. The dosas are awesome here and sambhar is delicious. The taste of sambhar is different from the usual taste. My favorites from the menu- Special rawa mysore masala dosa, onion rawa plain dosa, veg rawa masala dosa and coconut dosa. The dosas are crispy and tasty.
Dosas are served with coconut chutney and Red chutney. Chutneys are also full of flavours.
Rasam rice with papad is also must-try. If you are a Rasam fan, then do have a sip of it. It is spicy and amazing! Masala idly is also spicy delight here. I relished it. It was full of spices and flavours. Idlis were soft and tasty. ALso this place serves some amazing Filter coffee. So beanoholics must try the hot filter coffee in these winters!
Was too tired to "find"a place first..then search for it and try the food..so just got into the first place we saw(didn't even read the name of the place.. Hunger does that to you :D )
Typical family type restaurant.. With delicious food.
We had-
Masala dosa- crisp, perfect stuffing. Loved the chutneys.
Dahi vada- tasted good.
Pav bhaji- too yummy if you don't count the calories ;)
Cold coffee- my kind of coffee. Bitter and not too milky.
Overall, this place is easy on your pocket..and the service is super fast..you place your order and you get it within 2 minutes.
Sometimes being tired brings you good food!! :D
Small but pleasant ambience in the busy central market. Dosas are crispy and amazingly tasty! Separate mention to the chutneys they give, specially the green one. Do check out if you love to explore southern cuisine.
The review is only for their south Indian food. I would say one of the best in terms of taste, blend of spices and overall quality \quantity for south Indian food. Moved over from sagar ratnas long time back because the chain lost its touch long time back. Good part of udupi is that they have been consistent in their taste and quality. The sitting is simple, yet clean and hygienic. Will go there again and again for south Indian cravings.
Very professional and extremely regular. The food is good, the delivery is quick and their hygiene must be pretty good, as my office orders almost every day from them and nobody ever got sick. Their aloo jeera is one of my favourites...
I have ordered from this place for a long time. If you want to have a good and simple north Indian food at a reasonable price then this place is a must visit. The best part is they also serve tawa chapati.
Recommendations: dal fry ,panner butter masala
A perfect blend of spices in the South Indian foods when fresh served are just magnificent. And this is one place with perfect Indian food with a typical accent.
A very clean and nice place to have South Indian delicacies. Loved kesari halwa! Not too expensive has good quality food. Recently renovated looks better!
new ambiance is nyc..food taste is als gud...nd pockt frndly......
uttapam was good fluffy.....butter milk was ok…....... . . . . . . . . . .
Recently they have revamped their interiors. The place looks more contemporary and bright. It is a humble South Indian restaurant which serves North Indian and misnomered Chinese as well. I recommend their butter masala dosai. It's crisp and rich and the three chutneys served with it (Coconut, onion and coriander) give your taste buds more flavours to play with. Ask the waiter to serve you the mashed potato filling separately, rest assured, you will not leave disappointed.
Very pleasant and efficient service. Food quality is up to notch and very satisfying for my mouth!!!
Quality food with tawa chapatis, which is a high point if you are living alone in delhi.

A Small and good place, which can solve your Lunch and Dinner Problems. I was never aware of this place and found it in a search project (When Hungry) :), obviously when i didn't found the sitting in Bikanervala. I feel i was lucky that didn't got the seat there. This is a normal small restaurant with limited space and food but a good taste. Fast Service. No extra taxes ;). Economical. Best part tawa roti available. I had Kadai Paneer, Chilly Garlic Noodles, Chapatis, Salad and it was cool. Avg Cost for 2 375-400
One of the best south Indian restaurants I have been to. Paper masala dosa is to die for!
The food here is nice and tasty. Especially the service is so incredibly fast that I am surprised this restaurant is actually rated average.
Great restaurant which still lives up to the name it has build up over the years . Authentic South Indian taste customised for the North Indian Palette. Masala Dosa was super crispy with spicy and well blended masala stuffing. The Sambar , Chutney (2 types) and Dahi Raita made fabulous combination .
The Paneer in the paneer dosa was fresh like real paneer and not the formula paneer that you get elsewhere in Delhi . The deserts in the end will satiate you to the full.
Real quick and fast services . Prices may appear little bit on higher side but is truly reasonable if you get the quality of taste and authenticity of the ingredients in this price .
I loved it and would like to visit this place many more times in the future.
Pure veg Family restaurant famous for South Indian food. Serves North Indian and Chinese as well. Has both indoor and outdoor seating. Service is good
Today me and my office colleagues did lunch here and we ordered Crispy chilly potato, Uttapam with Sambhar coconut chutney, idli, Medu vada and choley bhture. Crispy chilly potato was so tasty. Uttapam taste was amazing. Choley bhture was so heavy. Service is so good. Whole atmosphere is so nice. I like this place.
Best restaurant for South Indian food. They also offer Chinese and North Indian options but you will surely enjoy the wide options of dosa. There's always a rush and you need to wait for your turn. Best food at affordable prices. Must try.
Udupi Restaurant in South Delhi offers authentic and delicious south indian cuisine, featuring a wide range of vegetarian dishes such as dosas, idlis, and more. The restaurant provides a satisfying dining experience with its flavorful offerings and welcoming ambiance.
Everything I liked there, south Indian food I tested first time there, every Item comparatively was good hygienic and testy as per my experience with other restaurents even tested there chinese was good too, price wise moderate. Over all good exeperience.
This is a good place to have a South Indian breakfast. Their idli and Vada combo was great. They give coconut chatni, some onion raita and tasty sambhar with it.
Their dosa is not good. It is just like a dosa from any roadside dosa joint. Tamilnadu House canteen and Sarvana Bhawan give far better dosas.
The place has washrooms and is at the Munirka community centre top floor.
Went there after 25 years with college friends and surprise to see same udipi after such a long gap. When iwas in pharmacy college I used to go there with friends and after such a long time we met again there nice to see no changes
The butter masala dosa was great
But the chinese dishes were not that good
I had singapuri noodles but that were somehow dry
Otherwise the place is a must visit for all south indian food lovers.
Should improve their service nd don't let customers waiting ( the restaurant was slightly expensive too )
My favourite go to place for south indian food anytime for sure.
Great restaurant which still lives up to the name .
Authentic South Indian taste customised for the North Indian Palette.
Masala Dosa was super crispy and well blended masala stuffing.
The Sambar is authentic and Chutney is really delicious unlike other outlets around delhi
Real quick and fast services . Prices truly reasonable if you get the quality of taste and authenticity of the ingredients in this price .
Guru Prasad Udupi Restaurant is located in Munirka market at Main Outer Ring Road near Foot Over Bridge in Munirka Market Delhi. Munirka Metro Station is also very close to the place. The entire restaurant is on the first floor with seating arrangements in two a/c halls and open roof as well . They serve basically south Indian cuisine which tastes well. The ambience is neat clean and pleasant.
Not a fan of south food i really liked there dishes specially i likha upma And dosa really good Taste whoever Want to eat Try their special dishes really like it
In my past 4 years of Delhi life, today is my first visit to this place.
I have been here many times, I couldn’t locate this South Indian Dish palace..
The lovers of South Indian dishes can must visit this restaurant. Definitely they like a most…
Has an open terrace, so real good for summers. Food was good, staff were nice. Tried the South Indian dishes. 320 for my meal. ⚠ Fair Warning : This place is a more family oriented spot, so will have lots of kids.
for someone who’s greatly inexperienced in south indian cuisine, i had a great time dining at this wonderful restaurant. from the moment we were seated at our place, the atmosphere was lively and inviting. the servers were very attentive and friendly. the food was to die for and we ordered much more than we could eat but that wasnt a problem as they offered to pack it all up for us. wonderful place to visit. would highly recommend.
Have been visiting this restaurant for the last 40 years though in last few years less frequently. Enjoyed having lunch on the terrace on the last afternoon of 2021 Makki ki roti and sarsoan ka saag a North Indian delicacy enjoyed best in winters followed by filter coffee
The slide in the photos shared has great memories of our daughters when they were small
The restaurant serves North Indian South Indian and Chinese good prices are reasonable service efficient food great the open terrace is added attraction in winter afternoons and summer evenings it has two air conditioned halls and one non ac covered hall too
Nice south indian restaurant. Tasty food. Good management and an excellent seating capacity. Price is little high. Near to roadside, so there is no one face any transportation difficulties but limited parking area.
