I always give this restaurant a try whenever I visit INA.

I have always found the food value for money.
Though the ambience and cleanliness can improve , the paratha chicken , Bhetki kabiraji , the biriyani are simply superb and remind Bongs of authentic Bengali cuisine.

Dear foodies, I will give this place full points because the food is always amazing. Located inside Dilli haat, you will find this near the Nagaland and Maharashtrian stall. They serve amazing thalis with protein of your choice. The mangsho luchi is our all time fav. They give a mishti along with it. Go for the thali coz a lot of the traditional food u can try with bhaja, veggie, papad, dal, tok and fish/mutton. You will have a complete meal here.. Absolute fav!!!

I am a half bong and I appreciate good food. You will never find me giving fake reviews coz bad food is never tolerated.

Delhi Haat is a carnival of food and clothing. The place seems prettier at night. The sitting space in front of the staff is the most perfect one in the whole area. I tried the Hot N Sour Chicken Soup costing me around 140 which was served with sufficient quantity of Chicken with a perfect combination of spices. Simply Yumm!!!

Ive only aways ordered in from the restaurant! Genuine bengali cuisine delivered to your doorstep!
The prices are on the stepper side. The deliver has always been clean. The food- the thali weve tried has the fish chops- amazing chops. But lately the size of the chops has been getting smaller n smaller and its becoming more of a vegetable chop then a fish one!
The fish curry is cooked well n yummy . Comes along with a vegetable korma which varies according to the season n steamed rice! A nice experience evrytime weve ordered. Never disappointed with the flavours!

This place is good if you want to try out Bengali food. It is expensive, but usually won't disappoint you in terms of flavour. The fish fry is highly recommended here. These are huge filet pieces, coated in just the right amount of spices and bread crumbs and deep fried till they are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chholar daal is also nice, and is prepared with coconuts- the classic Bengali way, and goes perfectly with some luchi (which are the smaller, lighter version of pooris), or plain rice. Kosha mangsho (mutton cooked in a curry gravy) is also must-try for meat-lovers. Try the mishti doi to seal your meal with something sweet and creamy.

We went here on New Year's Eve, as a large group. We had difficulty finding a table initially. But the waiters managed to put together 2 tables and some chairs somehow.
Our server was Mr Mukherjee. He was the only the server there, for around 10 tables (-1 for that). Even then we never faced a problem with the service. He heeded to every one of our special instructions as there were kids and old in our group. He even advised us on their specials very patiently.
The food could not have been better. We had the Mutton Kosha, Sorse Hilsa, Daab Chingri and Hilsa fish fry. Each one of the dishes was excellent. The fish tasted really fresh. Needless to say, we had a very good time here.

My favourite: Fish Chop and Fish Curry.

Delhi Haat (INA) is a place where i always try some different food of Indian States other than North Indian cuisine. This time i went to Bijoli Grill - West Bengal Food Stall. It's a good open place to have lunch / dinner. I ordered Fish Thali containing Fish curry, Fish chop, Plain Rice, Dal, Vegetable, Papad, Chutney & Salad.
Order was served in 15min. The Fish Thali price is ₹375 + taxes (cost around ₹394) which i think is a bit high as far as the quantity of the Thali is compared.
Fish curry was awesome but i think quantity was less. Fish Chop was as usual very tasty authentic. Dal and mixed vegetable were ok while chutney was a bit sweet which i liked a lot (containing Kishmish n Mango bites).

The main restaurant is located in Kolkata itself and it deals with all kinds of Chinese, Bengali & Sea-food items.😊
I've heard that the fish fry and fish cutlets are really good but I haven't tried them yet. Would love to give it a try.

A South Indian's food trail:

Bijoli grill, the Bengal food stall of Dilli Haat attracts more customers than any other food stalls at Dilli Haat considering their rich food heritage.

The Bengal known for their variety in fishes and Bijoli rightly recommends the same. Perpendicularly located to Nagaland food stall, and I chose Bijoli, the Bengal stall as my next destination.

Considering the Bengal's rich heritage of food, I thought it would be inappropriate to miss out them at Dilli Haat. However, I was sceptical about what to be ordered here and so I headed out to the counter straight away to get suggestions.

The guy at the counter was so patient enough to take my questions and answered them politely. He suggested me that Bengal was known for its fish varieties. After scanning my eyes through the Appetisers, I decided to try Fish Orly.

Fish Orly is also featured in Zomato's 'Food to Order here' section. It's basically Bhekti fish deeply fried and cooked with butter. It resembles like 'South Indian Bajji' ( A dish made out of raw banana)

On taste index, yeah it was satisfying. I had never had fish in this way and it was yummy as well. Priced at ₹230 and I believe it was a little extra. But then, considering the transportation cost; I believe it's judicious.

Service took time. Otherwise all good!

Bijoli Grill is my one stop destination for an authentic bengali food. Being a half bong, I know how legit this restaurant is. I may sound bias while writing the review, but trust me I am a bong and I know my food.

Surrounded by arts and crafts Bijoli is an ultimate combination of sightseeing and taste.  Since Bijoli is in Dilli Haat, the ambience is very classy. Now talking about the food, this place has the sense of what they are dealing with. I have been going to this place for five long years and there is no scope of mistake what so ever. The taste is still the same. The flavors are intact like a statue. The service is amazing. The manager is friendly (even more friendly if you are a bong! PARTIALITY ALERT).

Tonight, Since it Valentine's day my boyfriend and I ordered our favorites. Here are the items we ate and the reviews.

1) Fish Roll (Starters)
First of all, sorry that there aint no photograph of the roll, since I was so hungry that I didn't behave like a gentle lady. I ate it immediately. So my apologies.

Fillet of a fish is tendered very thin like a paper, then stuffings of other meat or poultry along with spices and onions are rolled in together like a spring roll. Then they dip the fish fillet roll in whatever batter and deep fry it. (The piece is actually really big, so make sure you order single instead of double for two person).

Once the hot spicy, fishy roll goes into your mouth, you will be lost in the world of flavor burst. To be more  precise, the roll was one of its kind. I was sentimentally reminded of Kolkata  since the taste was so purely classic. You got to try this no matter what.

2) Kasha Mangso, Luchi, Misti (Main Course)
This is a never miss to me. Well after all, its their signature dish. Kasha Mangso is a bengali spicy mutton curry made with authentic bengali spices. Luchi is nothing but Poori whereas Misti means sweet so the sweet they served is Kheer sweetened by jaggery instead of sugar.

The curry was delicious, vibrant and had the perfect blend of bengal flavors. Along with Lucci this dish was so out of the box. I have no words to explain further. This should be your first try if you visit BG

3) Misti Doi (Dessert)
Misti Doi which means sweet curd or sweet yoghurt is a staple Bengali dessert prepared in each and every house. It is served chilled in an earthen cup.

For my sweet tooth, this little cup of sweetness was heaven in to my spicy mouth (Off course because of Mangso curry).

This was it. Therefore I give BG four point zero for the incredible Bengal flavor and service.

Bijoli Grill definitely lives up to it's name with the quality of the food served. The fish fry was fresh and crispy. But it should have been served with some mustard.
Luchi Maangshor and the Fish Orley was perfect.

The reason the rating is pretty far from being perfect is that the service is absolutely horrible. They took more than an hour and a half to serve and 40 more minutes to just produce the bill. Most of the customers were facing the same problem. They really need to work on this if they want to keep the crowd.

Bijoli Grill is the West Bengal State's Stall inside Dilli Haat that offers authentic bengali cuisine. My favourites here are their fish fry, prawn tandoori, chicken cutlet, pomfret fry, Maachher matha diye dal(fish's head in dal) aloo posto(poppy seeds with potato sabji), Pabda jhal(mustard gravy), bhetki paturi (fish steamed in banana leaf), sorsha Ilish, mutton kosha, daab Chingri(prawns in coconut), luchi, Mughlai paratha, nolen gurer Roshogulla, payesh, mishti doi, mutton biryani and the special bengali thali. The service is usually quick. The prices are a tad bit on the higher side. They even do home delivery to places around and their packaging is quite good. Sunday lunch has to be Bengali Style. So visited Bijoli Grill Bengali's favourite destination for typical Kolkata style food. This outlet is inside Dilli Haat and I must say seating arrangements were not good, in this scorching heat one cooler doesn't help.

Now coming to food. We ordered Fish Thali and Mutton Kosha with Parantha.

Fish Thali had Plain Rice, Moong Dal, Aalu Matar Sabji, Fish Curry, Fish Chop, Tomato Chutney, Salad and Papad. The thali had exact same flavours as home cooked food. Not very spicy and delicious.

Kosha Mangso with Parantha, Bengali loves their Mutton dishes and Kosha Mutton is one of the delicacies. Mutton cooked in Onion Garlic paste with very less or no water added to it. The meat was super tender and acquired the flavour of Masala. The parantha with it is the almost perfect match with Kosha mangso, the best match is luchi.

So had a fantastic lunch.

I remember Bijoli Grill from the time I learnt to love Ice Cream Sodas in those glass bottles with their "Bijoli Grill" written vertically in green or red at the side of the bottle. Bijoli Grill surely knows what I am talking about. My childhood days at the Calcutta Zoological Gardens were all the more memorable because of our snacks enjoyed there. Modern Day Bijoli Grill and 12 years at Delhi makes a Bengali like me starve for authentic Bengali food. Kosha Mangsho, Fish Fry, Fish Orly, etc can not sound more tempting than here at the BG Menu. Bijoli Grill, the West Bengal food stall is highly recommend for their authentic Bengali dishes – fish and desserts. This is a small joint with outdoor seating and great surroundings of Dilli Haat. Their menu is full of different kind of Bengali dishes. They serve nearly-authentic Bengali food at an affordable rates. Their Fish Roll, Fish Orley, Prawn Cutlet, Kosha Mangsho are quite popular. In fact, the Fish Orley is superb and stands out. For Mutton lovers, they serve spicy Kosha Mangsho and Kassa maas.

One dish that attracts you attention is Radhaballabhi with Niramish Alu Dom. Radhaballabhi is Urad dal stuffed Pooris and Niramish Alu Dom is Aloor-Dum cooked in Bengali style. This dish has its own unique flavor and is spicy and tangy is taste.

The other most favourite thing at West Bengal food stall are the Desserts. They serve various Bengali sweets and desserts including Rasogulla, Gur Rasogulla, Rajbhog, Sandesh, Malpua and others.

One of my gastronomic expeditions across the city took me to BijoliGrill in Delhi Hut. It is not that I am unaware of the wonders bijoligrill has in store for our olfactory system( growing up in Kolkata means you get to taste their food in their outlets scattered across the city or have attended marriage parties catered by them) but what really bowled me over was the delight they could gift my taste buds even when located 1500kms away from kolkata. The Fish fry, fish roll , parantha and kosha manghso that we gorged on was totally mind blowing and to top it off was the awesome kolkata mutton biriyani. Thanks to bijoligrill for making me feel at home even when so far away. Well another successful termination of my gastronomic experiments

It is an amazing Bengali food outlet in Dilli Haat, which for me is the reason I often end up in this place. I have tried many fish recipes of which Tandoori Vetki, although pieces are small and few, is the tastiest on the menu. Tandoori Pomfret is ok. Their mutton dish, Kosha Mangsho is also amazing. The combination of rice and fish curries is really tempting.
Their fish thali and fish chops are also to go for. Sometimes the dishes are too spicy but their fish cooking is really worth trying for. The Payash is also very satisfying to end the meal.

So what do you do at a Bengali food joint when you are a vegetarian? You eat sweets! And if you are not even a sweet-lover, then you have to settle with eggplant! And in case if you are also one of those who make a bad face at the name of eggplant, then you have definitely nothing to do here!

Since I don't only have a sweet tooth, but I have a complete set of sweet teeth, I went to Bijoli grill for its sweets. Sadly, much to my disappointment, from the selected array of desserts that they offer, half of them are unavailable. The milk based sweets like kheer is not usually available in summers, mishti doi is generally out of stock and I was told by the owner that sandesh, the most primal authentic sweet of Bengal is made only during Puja days. So that leaves me with rosogulla all the time. But I definitely have no regrets, because it is not everywhere that you get a hot rosogulla! Yes, you read it right... a hot sponge rasgulla, which is sweetened to the core (in fact pore), unlike most of the sponge rasgullas which are dry and bland inside. If you are lucky enough to get mishti doi, then never leave a chance to taste it. It is served in earthern cup and has a flavour of cardamon and something else that I can't recognize but still it pleases the taste buds.

For those who can tolerate brinjals, there is a snack called bengun bhajai... it is deep fried slice of brinjal without coating of any batter and served with dust of chat masala sprinkled over it. It was bitter outside and bland inside, but the outer crust was crispy.

For the pescetarians and non-vegetarians, they serve one of the finest quality fish which is soft and nicely cooked without any traces of fish-bones. Unlike most of the restaurants who over-cook the fish, their fish is not limpy. However, I would admit that my fish experience is from my non-vegetarian days, that was more than an year ago.

Their service and ambience is one of the best in Dilli Haat, the server is so polite that I wished that I could have more from this place, but I also wish they had more to offer!

Located in Dilli Haat, INA, Bijoli Grill serves some really good Bengali food. I firsted visited this place in Feb. 2011. Since then whenever I visit Dilli Haat, I make sure I stop by Bijoli Grill and enjoy some good Fish Orley and Prawn Cutlet.
The quality of food is excellent and fresh fish is used always. The seating being open, allows you to enjoy the weather along with your food.

The only things I've tried at this stall are the sweets- gur rasgulla and payash- and both these items were delicious! The payash served here is thick, creamy and the milk is cooked for a long time to achieve a pinkish hue. The only problem is that they serve the payash cold while I like mine to be piping hot. The gur rasgulla at this stall is also heavenly. The gur gives it a really nice flavour which makes it much better than the regular ones.

The place is good for someone who loves eating authentic Bengali food. They have a varied menu and smple seating arrangements. Dilli Haat gets more lively during the sunny days of the winters. So a good hoice to hangout, shop and eat with family and friends.
I had a some combo thali and that was good quantatively and qualitatively.
The service was a bit slow, despite being not too much crowded the day i went, will suggest the admin to work on this. Also as per the location, ambiance, seating and all, the pricing seems slightly on the higher side as 6pcs chicken pakoras cost 250-300 bucks and 2pcs of fish fry costs 250-300bucks.

"Not bad. Will visit again with a bong friend."

First experience of Bengali food. Tried Vetki fish fry. Not bad. Not complaining. A little too costly.

Note to self : Next visit with a bong friend.

A tad bit expensive, but an excellent restaurant for Bengali cuisine for those looking for an alternative to Oh! Calcutta. My personal favourite is their signature Fish Fry. A lot of their food is mustard based (typical of Bengali cuisine) so it's possible some may not consider it to their taste. This is the only outlet I have been to, though they have another one as well in Banga Bhawan, Hailey Road. The chain also offers catering services which are also very good.

Ordered fird fish and mutton cutlet. Fish was very nice and tender. Mutton cutlet was ok but not as nice was ok. Fried Rice (understand not authentic bengali) was absolutely pleasure, loved it, right balance of mix veg and spice, close to how it should be; 5 star for that.

When a child turns 6 months old Bengalis celebrate her/ his 'annaprashan' (it's a sort of initiation ritual that roughly translates in English as the rice eating ceremony). It was a grand affair in my household. People still talk about the food that Bijoli Grill had served. I, being half a year old, irritating and easily irritable, cried a lot and ate nothing that day. Others laughed and ate. To make up for that day, almost with a vengeance, I keep returning to Bijoli Grill. I love Dilli Haat and Bijoli Grill is one of my favourite eateries there. Their food is as good as it gets. The luchi is phulko (fluffy and soft) and made of maida and not atta. The mutton is tender. The fish is fresh. My recommendations: the luchi-mutton kosha-payesh thali or the special non-veg thali which has the bhapa maachh, ghee bhaat and chutney among other things, the fish fry (this is so quintessentially Bangali I could cry in delight) and the fish orley. Simply splendid!

A very nice place to introduce one to the Bengali food. Huge variety of dishes supposedly authentic Bengali. Very easy on pocket and great surroundings of Dilli Haat. I personally have never learnt to eat fish with the bones and so that is a big problem as most good dishes are cooked with the fish that have small bones and cannot be removed before cooking.

My love for bengali cuisine made me visit this place located in dilli haat..This is a small joint with outdoor seating..Their menu is full of different kind of bengali dishes, and i must say they serve real authentic bengali food..
About the food, i ordered LUCHI which is fried bread like a poori but made of refined flour..with KASSA MANGSO which is a mutton curry, with great flavors and rich taste of spices in it. Luchi complemented the curry very well.. Also had VETKI FISH FRY, which is a battered fried fish,,though i didnt like it that much because of high amount of mustard used in the batter,,but the fish inside was good..And finally i completed my meal with a sweet dish known as  PAYESH,, which tasted really good.
Overall i was satisfied with the food quality and their service plus the prices of the dishes were on the lower side..
RECOMMENDED FOR AUTHENTIC  BENGALI CUISINE

Had radhaballabi n aloodum. Veg for a change but loved every bite of it. Relished every part of it. Chewed it till it melted in mouth. Then was the biriyani. My favourite lucknowee biriyani from Bengal with a half potato. The mesmerising essence of this takes my soul away. Since I was in dilli hat I wanted to taste other states as well but didn't really make it coz I was so full. Taste wise full marks the deductions are because of ambience and service. Didn't click pic because things were simply so irresistible that I forgot to click before I jumped over my servings.

One of the best places to have authentic Bengali cuisine in Delhi is Bijoli Grill. The dishes are really delicious and maintain the veritable Bengali taste. The thali/ meal is probably is best and easiest choice one can make. However, the portion size of the thali is actually huge, so one has to be mindful of that before ordering. However, the service may be slow.

I had food here when I visited Delhi haat. The taste of food was not up to the mark. Price was also higher as per the quantity and quality of food served. Specially vegetarian food was not at all good. The gravy was almost watery. Only factor of appreciation for this food court was it's cleanliness and hygienic surrounding.

Just perfect. A friend recommended Bijoli grill to us for our wedding, as they had had a great experience. We were so happy we chose them! The appetizers, salad and main courses were all delicious, the service was spot on, everything was attractively plated--we didn't have to worry about anything. We got so many compliments on the food--yes, on wedding food! it was great to work with, and made everything easy. Highly recommend. Prithibi & Susmita

If you are a Bengali and staying in Delhi for a reason, it's time you to visit the restaurant to bring back the root essence of Bengal. Even if you are a non-bengali you may visit the place to have a variety of authentic Bengali cousins and I assure you that you won't regret it later. Vegetarians, my recommendation is Aloo-posto and for rest, go for a fish dish and mutton plate. Why wait now!!

Drool over their pabda (steamed fish in Mustard sauce) and Mutton.. Authentic bong taste.. I dare you to try finishing their durga puja special thali! Slightly expensive.. And even for that, they do nothing to improve the ambience. Yet, it's my first choice for bengali food.

Each one of the dishes excellent. The fish tasted really fresh. Needless to say, we had a very good experience here.
