Mezbaan is probably one of the best Indian budget food restaurants in South Delhi - and the long waiting queues would validate the same !
My favourite items at this restaurant are -
Kadahi Chicken, Butter Chicken, Dal Makhani, Seekh Kebab, Garlic Naan and Mixed Raita.
Make sure you skip a meal before you go their for a meal to enjoy thoroughly!
I have been eating here, and ordering from Mezbaan for over a decade now. Good taste, not too oily/spicy (unlike typical market food), within budget, quick delivery.
Dine-in is generally very crowded, and one has to wait a bit to get a seat, sometimes even on weekdays. A simple and average space.
Highly recommended for trial if you are in the area.

The paneer makhani was delicious and the tandoori rotis were nice too. The chilli potato was okay. The price is reasonable. Also when you order food from this place they pack it very nicely.
One of THE best restaurants to order from if you are in Munirka or surrounding areas..... I have ordered countless times from here and never been disappointed. There Indian main courses especially the non-veg items are a must try, moreover they are very reasonably priced and any half non-veg curry item is ample for two people.
Some of the few items you can try are: chicken jhalfrezi, chicken tikka masala, paneer butter masala, kadhai mushroom, mutton rogan josh etc. and their thali's are also very good and sufficient
The only reason I am deducting a star is because even after informing them before hand to send disposable plates or extra onion/chutney with the order....they mostly forget it.
Delivery is prompt too.

I like this place as it is nearby where I'm placed in the city and good food at reasonable rates. And if you are a Jnu student, do carry your id cards as you can avail a 10% discount.
It is situated just opposite of Jnu east gate, inside the little complex which houses the kanada bank. Quite a spacious restaurant but crowded on weekends and holidays. You might have to wait for 30 mins for your turn. So try to hop in by 7:30pm to avoid being queued.
Do try their Indian dishes as I don't prefer their Chinese dishes much. Palak paneer, malai.kofta, kadai mutton, mutton saag Wala, chicken tikka masala; reshmi, seekh and haryali kababs and definitely pineapple raita. Looking for a sumptuous meal at good prices, look no further.

Service speed is comparable to Shatabdi Express :p I was never served food at such a lightning pace. The quantity of veg fried rice seemed to be very less. Afghani Chicken was perfect. Kadhai Chicken was not that great.
Mezbaan is all about no frills, simple, delicious, reasonably priced food, nothing fancy about either the food or the ambience.
I love their butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, kadhai chicken, lababdar, malai kofta, shahi paneer..Infact most of their Indian curries, both vegetarian and non vegetarian.
Pineapple raita is something I can't do without when eating at Mezbaan.
Their egg biryani is a personal favourite..It's the perfect comfort food for me at the end of a long day!
i have been here a couple of times. Afghani chicken here is awesome. prices not too heavy on your pocket. ambience can be improved. overall very good experience. good food and moderate prices. good place if you want to throw a party to a group of friends.
This place was recommended by one of my friend. Had Chicken Malai tikka (sizzlers), Honey Chilly potato. The food was damn tasty and the best was Chicken Malai tikka. Decent price and good food quality.
I am Living in the locality Since my Childhood being a foodie always try having new food this restaurant serves a good quality at its price. Got many Home deliveries from the restaurant which is very fast.
I find it better than secular house canteen for sure for this place is much quieter. Food 🥘 is hygienic and rates are reasonable. We had Chicken Malai tikka (sizzlers), Veg Malai Kofta and butter naans. Food was tasty 😋, however quality of malai tikka was compromised as it seemed as if it was prepared in a hurry. Overall, this is a mid range family restaurant, ideal for large groups as well.

Soft and juicy "Mutton Seekh Kebab" from Mezbaan (Munrika ,Delhi)
It is an amazing place to have Mughlai Food.
The most famous in the menu is Butter Chicken and Afghani Chicken.
Also, you might have to wait for half an hour before your turn comes (it's crowded because they serve yum food at reasonable price)
And..and..and.. if you are a student of IIT Delhi or JNU you would get an extra 10% off. Isn't that great ??? 😉😉

There are a few eateries where you can sit back and enjoy your food, good food. Ambience is good and it's a place where you can not be worried about other problems at least till the time you are savouring the food
A really good Veg place to have food from, really worth it every time. The dal and shahi paneer is perfect. The fragrance of fresh food when you enter the place is a real plus point.
I had ordered Chicken Korma with Butter Naan and Butter Tandoori Roti from this place. The chicken was finely cooked and the korma tasted perfect having kajus in it with butter naan though I was disappointed with the quality of the tandoori roti.
I love their non veg thali. It's good quality and easy on the pocket. My go to option when I want good food. The only issue is that it only has cash on delivery.
The food is really tasty. The ambience is not so good and so is the service but food will definitely make your day. The quantity is also sufficient for two persons. I went there with my jnu friends and we got student discount and that made us happy..

Mezbaan restaurant. I never visit this restaurant. But in office for team lunch we ordered food from here. Very cheap food. You can buy lunch for 10 people in just 3000 bucks. Veriaty of food. Almost every dish is delicious. And they also give discount on bulk order. Delivery is also very fast. Very good place for team party.

Quite popular among students. I have been regular to this place but my last visit was little disappointing. Starters were yum and tasty but main course failed to maintain that charm. Still a loyal customer but management needs to buckle up.
Mezbaan is an awesome place for good food at reasonable price. Ambience though is not that great as it is almost like a dhaaba or a hostel mess. Good place for people who love North Indian food n some Chinese with Indian touch. Old times feel guaranteed ;-)

Went to Mezbaan last week with 2 other friends and has a great time overall. All the dishes have complex flavours and perfectly spiced as well. The chicken was tender and moist and the naan was perfect too.

I ordered veg platter from their JNU branch on a lazy afternoon for lunch . It was yummy. Delivery was quick. And food quality,quantity and texture all was satisfactory. Worth the money. Will order again.
The restaurant has a nice ambience with decent seating. The staff is also quite hospitable. Talking about the food... it is yummy. We have tried many dishes here. Malai kofta is the best and so is garlic naan. The texture of Malai Kofta was extremely creamy and you can actually feel Cashews in the koftas. Other dishes that we liked are paneer lababdar, pineapple raita, butter chicken, garlic naan and paneer bhurji. The prices are also reasonable. The only dish that we didn't like much was chilly potato. They even deliver the food really fast and the packing is also good. So whenever you visit Munirka, do try out food at this place.

I have gone to this place a couple of times and ordered for home delivery as well. Their JNU branch(Secular House canteen) is far good than Munirka one. Though JNU one has limited menu but they are good at what they do and in price they provide it.Remember to order before 10:00 PM in night. In breads, avoid stuffed one and in Chana masala, prefer to ask for gravy otherwise they will make it like shahi paneer. Don't go for south indian and chinese (though you may opt for Honey potato)Deserts at your own risk..... :)

this place is just a walking distance away from delhi IIT . Not typical restaurant but seems a canteen..

I had the normal thali for lunch and it was delicious naye.. it was super delicious for less than what it costs to get a burger. Has WiFi so that's a add-on.
Very decently priced. Nothing very fancy about the place. Very simple. We ordered Talumein soup, Afghani chicken, chilly potato, egg curry, butter chicken and breads. All of it tasted quite good.

Sober looks, ordinary seating area and a likeable quality of food is the phrase that would sum up a truncate yet informative definition of Mezbaan. Located in the Mir Singh Complex Munirka, Mezbaan is a casual dining restaurant that serves a fine variety of North Indian, Mughlai and Chinese cuisines out of which I ordered the following-
Butter Chicken- The pieces were juicy and the gravy was mildly spiced and had a buttery taste.
Afgani Chicken- A bit chewy yet fine in taste.
Kadai Paneer- Comes with a proportionately spiced thick gravy and a likeable taste.
Mutter Mushroom- Spicy and enjoyable to have with the rotis and rice.
In the end, the check was not also very heavy on the pocket and hence the overall experience remained a fine one.
Could be tried if you are somewhere near Munirka.

The best thing is that all the dishes are popularly priced,food items deserve to be more expensive when it comes to taste and quality,I've never been here so I can't talk about the ambience but their delivery boys look Tidy and well dressed,good packing with nice and clean boxes.
They offer good dishes,when you are short on money but want something clean and hygenic then this should be your choice.Chinese and other dishes are fine but they really need to work upon their dal makhani,it does not have the right taste and tastes insipid.

Mezbaan's a good, affordable place to have Punjabi and Mughlai food, but the only problem with this place is the location. It is located in one of those cramped, muddy streets of the Munirka market and the walk (yes, walk because you cannot take any vehicle to that place except for a two wheeler) to that place just kills your appetite. But because they serve good food so we order from them occasionally.
I swear by their honey chili potato-- its a classic favorite with a lot of people who come to this place. Then their spring rolls are not to be missed. Their paneer tikka is also quite delicious--the right balance of soft and spicy. From the main course, the gobhi masala and malai kofta are our regular orders and they go amazingly well with their hot and fresh butter naans. A 3.5 because they don't always deliver on time.
Low on budget but food that will fill you up? Head to this place. Their portion sizes are quite generous with the starters as well as the gravies, and quite the place for large groups.
The chilli mushrooms are a must try for the starters. The veg, non -veg platters dont disappoint either and have huge portion sizes and much variety.
Would recommend the chicken jhalfrezi in non veg or the paneer jhalfrezi in veg. The gravy is thick, spicy and enough to whet your appetite. Rotis are like elsewhere.
The pineapple raita finishes up the meal as nothing else and was quite a favourite with us having ordered it thrice over. Quite light on the stomach.
We were a bunch of 8 people who had ordered some 7 dishes apart from a few rotis, and it came to all under 1300 rupees. Quite light on the pocket.
Above average food served at this joint but with that on/off taste bird that sometimes flies away and sometimes doesnt!
Good norrh indian delicacies with crispy paneer tikka being the best with succulent spice taste!

We got take-out from here last night. Delicious! And it didn't make either of us feel heavy or gross afterwards like food sometimes can. We got two of the vegetarian dishes. Maybe not the most flavourful food I have had, but very good. Highly recommend.

I have ordered food from here for home delivery and the food quality is ok. I found it same at the Architecture school ber sarai branch. The quantity also also at par with most hotels.
Saviors in lot of situation when I need to be in office with no food/snack available during long activities and meetings.
Food is good, tastes good. Lot of my colleagues use to order food from here. Yes, they do mistakes even but honest enough to realize their mistake and provide a replacement.
Last week I order rajma rice from them and they served rice which were cooked a day before (I even came to know from them, they gave me a call after delivery that we have packed the stale rice and sending a replacement, please don't consume the food). Totally amazed at their honesty. Good going guys.

Good place for home delivery, in fact one of the better places if you live in the vicinity of rkpuram or Munirka.
The service is quick, but the quality of food can vary quite a lot.

This is not Secular House, but a small restaurant in the middle of Munirka market. I've never eaten there in person, but having ordered food from here at least biweekly for the last two years, I cannot recommend this place enough to Munirka folks. Great portions, great service, prompt delivery, and consistent tastes and flavours. Their north Indian menu is stellar, the Dal Jaipuri is spicy and amazing, and the mutton seekh kebabs have made my day on more than one occasion!
I order food from here almost once a week & sometimes even more. Have never been to the restaurant but when you are tired & don't feel like cooking this is the perfect place. Must try are Chicken Tikka Masala & Afghani Chicken.
Just finished dinner with my dad at Mezbaan. Ordered mutton sheen kebab for starter. It was just okay..meat was fresh and cooked just right. Decided to have another mutton dish ( kerai mutton)with roti for main course. That curry was quite ordinary. Roti's were done well.

Had visited this place few times when I had to stay back in office for a late night.
This place is a little ill-lit and the first time when I came in I thought it is already closed and thought of returning. These gives a bad first impression.
But the food was very good and it made up for the lack of care in interior.
I have had, tandooris, afghanis, tikkas along with rotis and I found all of them good.

Have been to this place for a couple of times with my friends as well as got food delivered from this place once. To us the highlight of the menu card has been the 'Afghani chicken'..:) Other dishes like butter chicken and chicken do piyaza also demands a thumbs up. Do not expect a super sophisticated ambiance. Service is nice. Price is just okay (IIT Delhi students, just don't forget to produce your IITD ID cards at the time of bill payment as they give you a 10% discount on the bill for IITD students.:)).

I have been a regular to Mezbaan for quite some time now, and it is one of those few places in Delhi that has remained unchanged. Of course the price of food has increased in accordance with the rocketing inflation our government gifted us. But the taste and ambiance has remained the same. I find veg and non-veg food to be great. I have probably tasted half the items on the menu, and none of them have ever been a disappointment. The starters tikka and afghani are great, and so are all the rest of the Mughlai and Awadhi dishes. I have never ordered Chinese at Mezbaan and have never seen anyone ordering either, so that probably gives you an idea on what to order when you go there. Biryani is okay, not the best i have had, but the pineapple raita is absolutely amazing.
If you are looking for a quite calm nerve soothing dinner then this is not the place. In winters well its chilly, and during the summer months you may have expend a few drops of sweat to enjoy the food here. The staff is pretty helpful and courteous, but they really cant help all the people who line up for a seat, especially during the weekend. All in all the food is not great and not obscenely priced, as is the general situation in Delhi, and no one can be disappointed.
This place is hardly a kilometre away from my house but I've never been there personally but get the food delivered quite often.
Personal favourites are chilli potato, hot and sour gravy, vegetable hakka noodles, chilli mushroom gravy, garlic naan, dal makhani, and paneer gravies. Also the obviously famous pineapple raita!
Have tried almost all of their soups but did not like either of them. Too bland in taste with a peculiar smell of broth. I somehow don't like the manchurian either. And I don't understand why do they have to put chaat masala on their spring rolls. A little funny.
Another funny thing they do quite often is send green mint chutney with onion pickled in vinegar with Chinese food!?
Also their chefs aren't consistent I guess. Sometimes I get really oily food but that's not as often. Usually the food is really good, especially if you look at the money you pay for the same! Quantities are huge too, so I usually end up overeating in just 200₹.
The rating goes for the cheap and tasty food.As a place to sit, this ain't really a restaurant but more so like a canteen in some college. But something that makes it still full every time you go there is the good food. Famous for its non vegetarian item, the chilly potato on the menu is a compulsory order every time I go there. Often flocked by college kids from IIT, JNU and nearby colleges, this place might not be for the couple to eat out but more so for a bunch of friends to catch up. Do order food from here, fast and reliable delivery.

It is one the best restaurant in South Delhi,Potato Chilli and Pineapple raita are really awesome.It is way better than other over priced restaurants.
As a Chennaite visited Delhi, and my friend suggested this place for a proper northIndian cusine and he didnt fail me. This restaurant made me to fall more for North Indian Food, Their Adghan chicken was amazing.

It is the branch of Mezban restaurant (Secular house canteen) of JNU. Food quality is similar. Seating area is not great. Good option as a pocket friendly restaurant.
They serve good food at reasonable price. I was unable to upload pics of my visit as I started eating it as soon as it arrived. It is a subsidary of the other mezbaan near jnu but i like this one better. A good option for a family outing- affordable price and good food.
Overall good. I ordered chinese. Chilly chicken was not good in taste. Personally i didnt like that dish. Other items which tried was good. Veg thali was good. Gulab jamun was tasty. I recommend if u roam around Munirka.
