This was the most delicious and authentic Mughlai food I have ever had. The khaboos was so soft that it felt like eating a cloud. The Changesi and Jhangiri chicken were so tasty. The difference flavours were just out of the world. Every bite felt so fulfilling. The egg curry was perfectly paired with the plain rice. The Kheer was just the perfect dessert to bring the heavenly experience to an end. And the staff was very polite and helpful. I have been going here since I was a kid because it has always been a constant in my life because of its authenticity.

These places are always crowded but kabab at Karim's is very tasty and the wait is totally worth jt. Its the oldest kabab joint in town and serves delicious kababs. If you're confused what to order just ask anyone passing by Karim's they'll tell you what its famous for. Dilli ae aur chicken nahi khae to kaise chalega?

One of the best non veg restaurants in this region. This is one of the best and oldest restaurants near Delhi Jame Masjid. Here you can find every dish very well cooked in its real taste. The food is not spicy and good for people who doesn't eat spicy food. The mutton is juicy and succulent and the breads are fluffy. However, some items like boti kebab, rolls are only served in the evening.Honestly at first I was gonna go back seeing too many people but I stayed and absolutely was worth it. Best part is they are open late night sometimes.

A great place for Mughlai lovers. They have almost every Mughlai dish on the menu, and you're spoilt for choice. I have tried chicken jahangiri, nithari, keema man and some other dishes. The dishes are top notch, and the service is above average. It is crowded most of the time, so you may have to wait to get seated.
Cleanliness and hygiene are reasonable, by old Delhi standards. Use the metro to reach here, don't even think of bringing your car. Crowd is a bit conservative, but I went with my girlfriend, and no one bothers you there.
If you want a better ambience, you can try one of their multiple outlets scattered throughout Delhi.

This is my favourite place for mughlai food. I ordered chicken and mutton seekh kebab, mutton barra, tandoori fish, chicken curry and mutton curry. The food was extremely delicious. Tandoori fish was juicy, crispy and had ultimate taste. It’s highly recommended for fish lovers. Seekh kebabs were soft and main course dishes were delicious. Chutney they serve is very spicy and tasty. It adds additional taste to the dishes.

My first visit to Karim’s but surely not the last. Have got food delivered to home from the branch in south delhi multiple times but going to the original Jama Mazjid one was a revelation of sorts. Had the most amazing food, whatever we ordered was delicious to the last bite. It was a complete gastronomic experience..

We ordered the Seekh kebabs, mutton korma, mutton stew, n kheema with khameeri rotis. Each and every dish was out of the world.
The sheekh were so moist n bursting with flavours. Have not had better sheekh kebabs in a long time.
The mutton korma was unbelievably tasty. Loved every bite of it.
Khameeri roti was outstanding. Goes do well with this type of food.
Kheema was delicious. A bit too much of oil that we had to remove but outstanding it was.
Didn’t like the mutton stew much.

It was a magical evening. Loved the experience of going to Jama Mazjid. Though I grew up there but haven’t got a chance to visit in almost 4 decades.

We ordered chicken seekh, mutton seekh in the starters. Both were delicious especially mutton seekh.
After that we ordered mutton korma and rumali roti. The mutton korma was without a doubt the highlight of our lunch.
We enjoyed the food so much that we didn't even bother to click pictures 😜. Will come here again sometime in the future and try their biryani as well.

Karim's is a well known brand in Delhi and this one is the root of all the Karim's hotel chain.

Locating Karim's can be a bit tricky, it's entrance is a narrow lane.

There are four to five clustered restaurant within the location.

Seating is ample but due to huge demand one may need to share the table with other customers. But it's worth the effort.

Cusines to try:
Mutton Korma
Chicken Burra
Chicken Stew

There are variety of mughlai cusines on the menu.

If you are an adherent fan of mughlai delicacies, Karim's is a must visit icon in Old Delhi.

Karims yes it’s a brand anyone who have heard of Jama Masjid food relates to karims

The place is not on the Main Street where other restaurants are. But still you can easily locate.

The place has best seekh kababs - it’s juicy tender and very well marinated the cooked

But overall I feel this place is little exorbitant.

The service was also sluggish due to high rush of people

Price 2/5
Food 4/5
Ambiance 3/5

I would say they are other equal good restaurant in that area offering food and service at a better price.

Once he's there without thinking (and reading) much place an order for kebabs and mutton chops.

Don't have main course and desserts here.

When visiting Delhi, real Mughlai cuisine is a must. The atmosphere was serene, filled with aromas and cheerful smiles. Despite the long wait, no one appeared exhausted, annoyed, or irritated. The meal is wonderful and one-of-a- kind. Aside from Qorma, Naan, and Seekh Kebab, one should order the Barra, which comes in both chicken and mutton varieties. The service was excellent, and I would strongly advise you not to miss this restaurant under any circumstances. Try the Phirni or Kheer. Not too sweet... and what a way to end the meal! Looking forward to visit this place again.

If you're looking for an authentic experience while in Old Delhi, then you should definitely check out Karim Hotel. I recently visited the restaurant and had high expectations, but was blown away by what I found. The mutton kabab was delicious, the bread and gravies were excellent, and the butter chicken was outstanding. The only downside was the service, as the staff were a bit rude and impatient. But that minor hiccup was in no way a reflection of the food, which was a real treat from start to finish. Plus the open kitchen at Karim Hotel gave an excellent insight into traditional Old Delhi cuisine. Highly recommend Karim Hotel if you're in the area.

The food here is, needless to say absolutely amazing. The quantity is though less, but enough for everyone to finish. Prices are okay too considering the enormous amount of flavour in these foods. We had mutton qorma, mutton keema, mutton seekh kebab, 2 rotis and a sheermal. We are definitely mutton fans, preferring the red juicy meat any day over chicken. There are a lot of bengali speaking workers here too, which is not surprising but rather pleasant. They serve a green, spicy and tangy diluted chutney with onions to go with the other dishes. The place and it's food is in high demand, inviting people from all over the country as well as foreigners who want to take delight in local mughlai cuisine and culture. The waiting time, though there is, doesn't take much long. You share a table with another family. It's all good, people are decent.

This place needs no introduction, a visit to chandani chauk/ Jama Masjid is incomplete for a non-vegetarian if they do not eat at karims. This was my second visit to karims but after 13 long years, and what was the good part and sadly the bad one as well was that nothing there has changed. The food is good, it’s a non vegetarians heaven, but not a place where a vegetarian would like to eat. I personally was a bit taken aback by the lack of hygiene. The smell was overwhelming to bear, hence I just picked up a mutton sheekh roll for the sake of having come so far. The place without a doubt is iconic for innumerable reasons, however , i personally was a bit disappointed.

I recently dined at Karim's Hotel, and it was an extraordinary food experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the roti, mutton korma and mutton nahari, which were, without a doubt, the best I've ever had in my life. Yes, it might be a bit on the expensive side, but every bite was worth every penny. Karim's Hotel offers a truly authentic and well-prepared menu that pays homage to its rich culinary heritage. The flavors are a testament to their dedication to preserving traditional recipes. I was truly impressed with the quality and taste of their dishes. The mutton korma was out of this world, and the mutton nihari was a symphony of flavors, beautifully enhanced by the rich and aromatic spices used. It's evident that their chefs have mastered the art of creating exquisite dishes that leave a lasting impression. What's even more fascinating is the historical connection - knowing that their ancestors were part of the Mughal royal kitchen adds a layer of charm and authenticity to the dining experience. This lineage shines through in every dish they serve. In conclusion, Karim's Hotel is a culinary gem that I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. Yes, it might be a bit pricey, but the quality, authenticity, and flavors of their dishes make it an absolute must-try. I'll definitely be returning to savor more of their incredible cuisine. Hats off to Karim's Hotel for serving such amazing food!

The biryani was pretty disappointing by both taste and quantity. A full plate biryani with 4 pieces mutton, costs over 600/- but the quantity was not even enough for one grown up. The kebab was good with nun. The pocket pinch was heavy comparing to the food we took. It was nearly 2000/- for three yet not satisfied.

I visited Karim’s after watching it on different TV shows and knowing that their chef come from the family of royal chefs. I had Chicken Jahangiri, it didn’t disappoint at all and was the best mughlai dish I had. The rumali roti wasn’t that great but the biryani compensated for it. I like how they make their dishes in pure ghee since that adds more flavor to the food. Its a tiny place but is surely worth visiting especially when you’re at/near Jama Masjid, its only few minutes walk from the masjid. There are a lot of similar options around but I’m sure this one serves authentic mughlai food that the emperors used to eat!

Karim located in Old Delhi is a famous mughlai food restaurant operating since 1913. They are famous for their tandoori dishes and their specialty is non veg items. The biryani here was ok 👌 however I must say their tandoori roti and chicken stew was something that i hadn't tasted before. The taste was so unique and new and tasty 😋🤤 . Chicken stew can be this tasty! It was unimaginable. And the roti itself was something you can eat it without any accompaniment . Their biryani portion was huge enough for too people because they give you good meat portions and one egg cut in halves. Their chicken burma ( some sort of tandoori- not sure of the spelling) is also pretty good and a famous item here. Overall it's a good experience and it's worth the hype. The restaurant is totally packed all throughout the day . They don't accept upi payment ( in our visit they had said so) so either carry cash or card. The place is inside an ally and it was a bit difficult to locate it at first, but the locals were helpful and you can ask anybody for the exact location ( opposite to jama masjid)
