'Don't judge a book by its cover' this lowly lit place will fail to grab your attention 9 out of 10 times. Located in the Community Centre Market of East of Kailash, this place serves the best Chinese food, in and around the area.
The seating is very basic, the interiors are rather simple, but when it comes to food, they can give even the best of the Khan Market's a run for their money.
I've been to this place twice in last 10 days or so. And I must say, their black bean sauce is mind blowing, their noodles will win your heart and the chicken dimsums are something that will make you visit this place again and again.
So, next time you're in the area, go to Shaolin Kitchen, enjoy some lip smacking Chinese, without spending a fortune.
Cost for 2- Rs.500/-
What a lovely place to eat chinese at!
The ambience isnt great. You get to sit over a simple table and chair but the food is delicious. Also, it is super easy on the pocket.
I ordered these two dishes: Chicken Sui mai dim sums, Chilli garlic chicken noodles and a bottle of water.
The bill came out to be ₹360.
The dim sums were really nice, they were served with black bean sauce and a tomato tangy sauce to go with but the chicken was slightly undercooked in a piece or two. The black bean sauce was too good for a plce like Shaolin.
The noodles were tasty and the portion size was apt too.
I'd love to come back for more!!
Shaolin is my first pick if I have to order Chinese food. My all time favourite dishes are classic chilli vegetable dumplings, chilli potato and vegetable spring roll. If you are a fan of spicy food like me, do ask for their hot chilli sauce with chilli flakes. Their delivery is pretty efficient as well.
Best Chinese food-Indian style!!! The delivery is efficient. The quality and quantity of food is great.. completely satisfies the value for money!
great food Tastes well..New chef and some great food .Dim-sums and soup is great even oyster sauce us goodThe place is small to sit and they only have 4 tables but home delivery is efficient. The entire menu has changed and all for the better.
New chef and some great tasting food. Went back to Shaolin in East of Kailash after 6 months and the chef has changed and the food is really good.
Try the chicken dimsums and chicken salt and pepper. The place is small to sit and they only have 4 tables but home delivery is efficient. The entire menu has changed and all for the better. Also highly recommended the pan fried noodles in black bean sauce.
Food is good!! Tastes well..
You can order from here as the have less seats available and not really place to hangout.. in summers its too hot.. over all great food to try in..
Shaolin has absolutely mouth watering food. The place though casual in its set up, serves good Chinese food with ample dishes to choose from. We tried the classic Chinese dishes – Momos, Noodles, Fried Rice and Manchurian. All of which was served in a sufficient amount.
Ordered Chinese veg crispy vegetables and veg noodles... The vegetable was really good... Noodles were fine... The food was hot when it got delivered... Delivery was also. Fast.... !!
Ordered a few appetisers from this place. I ordered the Honey Chicken Drumsticks which were really good although I had originally ordered Honey Chicken but it wasn't available. Along with that I ordered Veg and Chicken Chilli fried Momos. The Chicken ones were decent and the veg ones were pretty good. The delivery was also quick and the menu is quite economical. Would love to go there and have a proper meal.
I have ordered a few times from shaolin. Their food is value for money & tastes good. This is typical street Chinese food. The delivery is fast & it is good for a regular Chinese take away.
Awsm is the word for this joint ..........specially the momos and hot and sour soup ........love the food good service hygienic easy on pocket. You would not regret coming here... The staff is really nice at this place. It takes time to get the order on your table, but if the quality is best, no complaints for a delay of 5-7 minutes.
(Hi Five) to the people out there working and the management....
They serve really good chilly momos not that the gravy they cook momos in is good but also the pre cooked momos are equally tempting.
Although Lemon and Coriander soup was below average So it was pretty disappointing.
Also, their delivery service is quick and they are pretty welcoming to deliver even one item nearby.
Though this place is right next to Nirula's (East of Kailash) I somehow always managed to miss visiting it. After 2 years I finally paid them a visit, the experience was better than what I had anticipated. Though the place has limited seating space and plastic furniture, it manages to score on the quality of food. Have tried everything from soup, dimsums, fried chicken and noodles and the experience has been good. Worth a try!
We ordered it their veg combo with chilly chicken for lunch. The delivery time was normal.
The combo dish included is very limited - vegetables in hot garlic sauce or veg Manchurian. So we ordered manchurian with fried rice which came with 2 pieces of fried dimsums.
The dimsums were fried and a little oily but it didn't matter since they tasted really good. Fried rice was good. Manchurian came in less quantity but they were soft. Chicken also was good. So overall we had a nice experience and hopefully we would be ordering soon.
And this all came at a price of 340 so yeah. Worth the pocket.
One of the best Chinese around East of Kailash GK I .... "Shaolin special" items are must try.... Although very ok place to sit but with good hygiene and quality
If your looking for great chinese and at an affordable price with huge helpings the. This is the place for you. The noodles and spocy chilly chicken were amazing. Perfectly tender and juicy. Will order again real soon.
Highly recommended place for amazing momos. I love chicken momos. You will get all possible varieties of Chinese food here. They are juicy, succulent and delicious. shaolin is best Chinese restaurant.
Searched well on zomato for good and pocket friendly restaurants in kailash colony and zeroed onto this one seeing the number of good reviews..
Was a bit difficult to search for it, maybe because I have ad new to the area, but yes gps helped and even if you call them, they help you out in figuring out the way.
It's a small place. Typically like a college mess! It has 2-3 tables with seats, ac and fans. You see a wide range of variety in menu.
I ordered
1)Honey chilli potato (recommended, perfect crispness, NOTE: take only if you can have extra extra spicy food)
I loved it personally..
2)Vegetarian schezwan noodles. Loved it. Texture of the noddles was quite different and good.
3)Mixed vegetables in hot garlic sauce. Again- too spicy. But i loved it.
All this I guess for some 350-400 rs. I am definaetly coming over here again to try their other items!!
Must try!
Shaolin is a great place for anybody looking for reasonable, satisfying and great Chinese food!
I went to Shaolin with my boyfriend. We were really hungry after our band's performance in a club in Hauz Khas village, and were looking for reasonable and satisfying Chinese food.
When I started searching Zomato for options, we came across this restaurant. Since we were in the area, we decided to go here.
Going into the restaurant, we weren't expecting much. It looked like a small, no-nonsense, clean place though. We sat at a corner table, and asked the server for the menu. Some music was playing in the background, and the ambiance was quite relaxing. It was a tiny, cute little place, but the tables were laid out in a manner that it made the best of the available space.
Looking at all the comments on Post-Its on the wall for suggestions, we decided on ordering the Chicken Pan-Fried Noodles in Black Bean Sauce and Chicken Drumsticks (Sauteed).
The servers were polite and helpful, and we got our food quick, even though there were quite a few people in the restaurant. The food quality was amazing, and the extremely reasonable prices made the visit worth it.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend this pl;ace to anybody who's looking for quick, reasonable and tasty Chinese food. :)
A major thumbs up!!!
I have eaten Chinese Food almost all over the world...But never got chilly dim- sums anywhere, this was the first time I ate them.......
I think that Shaolin fulfilled my unbelievable craving for them..........
I ALSO OVERHEARD SOME PEOPLE IN THE RESTAURANT SAY THAT THEY DELIVER ALL OVER SOUTH DELHI.
Keep it up Team Shaolin!!!! :-)
Aah!!! after heard it from so many times finally I'm here at Shaolin to taste its the delicious Chilly Chicken Dimsums and Yes it is fab..so tasty ..
As I'm a momo's lover I had taste momo's in various places but the Shaolin dimsums taste very different and delicious. The spices were mixed perfectly with the chicken.
And how can I forgot to say about the amazing noodle's..very tasty and very delicious.
I'll there soon again to taste it's honey chilli potatoes'.
Shaolin food were very cheap and tastier and the service is also good..
Have visited this small place many times and also ordered from here.
We love their noodles and dimsums. The quality of noodles are amazing and the best part is food is served fresh and hot!
I have been craving chili momos for a very very long time but could not find it any where in Delhi. One day i was just randomly looking at restaurant menus and came across chili momos at shaolin.
Upon visiting we ordered one chicken and one veg chili momos and they were divine! The momo filling was delicious and the momos were tossed in a spicy sauce with onions and peppers
The chili momos are highly recommended, i will review this restaurant again upon trying their other items.
After having my fair share of Chinese food across the city, I have finally settled on this one as one of my favorites. The location of the restaurant is the only minus point in Shaolin. If you care about food more than the seats, the cutlery and the ambience, Shaolin must not be missed. Polite staff is always ready to serve you quickly and the food served is always brilliant. Chilly Potatoes, Chicken Dimsums and the classical Hakka noodles are the best. As a matter of fact, you may order anything from the menu and chances are that you will love whatever they serve.
Dimsums,/Momos, Noodles;we all eat it, and always try to find a cheap place and cutting cost on quality for food we like, but to my amazement, I found this place, right across Narulas, serving one of the best dimsums/ chinese noodles I've had up till now and the cost is as same or just a meagre Rs. 20-30 difference with the one served on every locality by multiple makeshift shops that we all see in our daily lives. So, I suggest you guys, to try this! Bon Appétite!
My favourite food joint! This tiny little place serves the best chinese food in the town. Light on pocket, great in taste. The staff is very friendly and hospitable. The place is quite small but very neat. They now also have an outdoor kind of sitting place, which is great in winters. The chilly momos are to die for! The singapori noodles, chilly manchurian and all and all everything is just amazing!
For me shaolin is a total 5 star :)
best chilly momos in town...a must try...even the singapori noodles
This tiny new place is totally worth visiting. Their chilli dimsums, schezwan noodles and almost all soups are delicious.
This is a must visit place when you are facing cash crunch. Good value for money.
Chilly chicken momos really oscar try it once guys , its something new to taste in delhi, I am sure you gona love it, I loved it oscar taste guys .....
Ordered chilly chicken and chicken Singaporean noodles on a week night.
Pros:
- Food: Chilly chicken was less spicy (as requested) - thumbs up!
- Easy on the pocket (Rs. 310 for the entire meal)
- pleasant service (both during order and delivery)
- large/filling portions
- hygienic packaging
Cons:
- Food: The noodles had turned a bit soggy, was difficult to distinguish them from hot and sour.
- Barely any vegetables (yes I did order chicken, but some veggies please?)
- The proprietor claims that they're doing so well that the minimum delivery time is 1 hour. I live in F block while they're in Community Centre (opposite to D). So wonder how long they would take for other neighborhoods. (BUT +100 for arriving dot on time - exactly an hour later).
Considering that my office is nearby, we order food from this place quite often. It serves authentic "Indian" Chinese food so to speak. The food is well prepared and is usually quite fresh. Good food and is also light on the pockets.
Noodles and the rice is amazingDefinately a great option for home delivery also when you are on a budget and want great food. Must try and visit if possible.
One of the best places to have good Chinese esp if you are looking for home delivery. I ordered shaolin special veg chopsuey, veg manchurian and noodles, loved em. They delivered in 40mins, food was hot, and so damn yummy! Good work guys. The owner is also cool, met him once when I went for dine in, though the place is small and I wouldn't recommend it for a date but cool place to hang out with a couple of buddies and enjoy their delicious food.
The place is really tiny with a few plastic chairs outside. The fare is typical chinese but slightly pocket friendly too.
We decided to order for home delivery and decided on chilly potato and veg hakka noodles.
Chilly potato was very nice and crisp with not too much chilly. Incase you like it spicy you can ask them to make it more spicy than usual.
The hakka noodles were very well cooked but with a large chunk of vegetables ranging from carrots to mushrooms.
Overall i will say the place is good value for money as the portions were huge and prices normal and the taste was also good. The person who took the order was also very polite.
Nice place to have authentic Chinese. Value for money. Come here if you looking for delicious Chinese with ok ambience
.....................
Never getting bored of chicken hakka noodles. The owner adds his personal touch to your culinary experience. Good service and better preparation.
Thukpa (Chicken) is very good and very good quality. Also had Stir Fried Chicken, Lemon in Coriander Soup and Steamed monos. The price is very reasonable. Otis definitely one of the better street Chinese joints have eaten in South Delhi
Good chinese. Service was also good. Less space for sitting but nice chinese food in decent price. It's next to nirula's. Will definitely try some more things there.
All I can say one of the best chinese food food .. Chilli dim sums , golden fried chicken & hakka noddles are must try here ... Great value for money ..
I have been to this boutique Chinese fast food store, I am a big time foody guy who likes large qty in reasonable price and
After going through the menu (it proved difficult for me to make choice as they had all the food I like) I asked the guy to suggest me food and boy his suggestion was good as proclaimed by him.. I had Chicken drumstick Sichuan noodles and a portion of chilli fries (its a must have).. service was prompt first came chilli fries then drumstick followed by noodles it took me a while to finish all that the qty was good for the price of 430 (no extra tax)
Shaolin lived up to my expectation & budget its a good place if you want to get quick take away just call in when you are 10 min out by the time you reach the store food will be ready...
Good going Shaolin team!!!!! will be back soon...
A really value for money outlet......good service....staff is really good...must visit
Value buster...fast lunch in between meetings... At an unbeatable price then this is the place...steamed momos are a must, or go for the executive lunch ...tasted better than the joint looked... Will definitely return...
i went to shaolin after exiting from next door nirula's after finding nothing interesting there. Shaloin is a tiny restaurant and was totally empty when we entered, at first i doubted my decision but my craving for Chinese made me stay on.
it just had 4 tables and had nothing special about its decor with plastic tables and chairs. Looked like any college canteen. we wanted to order an executive meal(they had posters of free coke all around) but the waiter/manager (he was the only one present) warned us that we might be left feeling hungry as we were two people. so we ordered the regular chilly potato and veg noodles.
chilly potato arrived first and rather quickly, but as we were the only customers, it didn't look like a surprise.noodles came in after a minute.
chilly potato: perfectly fried and a bit less than perfectly chilly. add a bit of chilly sauce and you are good to go.
noodles: full of veggies with perfect taste... from vinegar to salt, everything was of right amount.
our bill came out to be 150(no extra taxes).
pros: cheap and portions are huge!! its awesome place to eat Chinese with tummies full without worrying about pockets. the waiters mind there own business and service is nice
cons: tiny place makes it uncomfortable as we later discovered when other table got occupied later, hey could hear our talks and we could hear their's.
will i be going there again ? yeah
ps: though it says its close to hauz khaas metro station ,it is equally close to east of kailash too.
It's a nice place. The restaurant has some really amazing Chinese dish options from traditional noodles and fried rice to Thai dishes. The outdoor sitting makes it a perfect place for dining out with your folks. The good thing is, it isn't that much heavy on your pocket. best Chinese food and at low price. They have seating as well, with no extra charges. Chicken momo's are best. Loved the thukpa.
Ordered Manchurian and he gave me some chili potato as a side. Chili potato is delicious and not a joke. Great spicy food (with non spicy options) and chef is flexible. Manchurian tastes exactly like vegetable meatball. Finish with paan smoothie for cooling effect. Portion size huge. Service 10/10.
Loved the food!
The quantity of food is amazing and the taste is also good. We tried Veg fried rice along with veg manchurian and we loved it!
If you are into spicy chinese food, this is the place for you in Malviya Nagar.
Lin's has always been spot on, with great food and awesome service. I've ... How is Lin's China Diner rated? Lin's China Diner has 3.0 stars from 114 reviews
Good Indian Chinese with take away concept and pocket friendly too.
Very old and one of my favorite.
A must visit place for all your food cravings. A best place to have Chinese food in Delhi. The Owner is very nice and understand the need of the customers n instruct his chefs accordingly. Amit the Owner is very humble. Must try 😋
Worth trying this place, the staff were so friendly and the food is so yummy! Tried their fried chicken momo and hot & sour chicken soup. It was too delicious, would definitely come again.
It is my first time visiting this place. I ordered Chilli Garlic Noodles recommended by the manager there, that it is most popular one.
I enjoyed every bite of it. It was yummy and the spices were well-balanced.
The service was fast as he made in front of me, it got ready within 5 minutes.
Also, the manager talked very nicely, that was a big plus.
Taste, presentation, quick, all of it I got.
Beautiful experience, keep up the good job AD's Shao-lin.
1.) Excellent Fast Home Delivery
Just a 10 minutes before ordered chicken fried rice and I got it delivered in 10 minutes. This is not the first time. Everytime I order here. I get it delivered within 10 minutes.
2.) Excellent Chicken Fried Rice
The chicken fried rice they cook here is so mouth watering and delicious.
P.s. I like chicken fried rice a lot.
3.) Cheap Price and Large Quantity
Each and every item here is cheap. And also the quantity is abundant.
Hats off to you guys. Best wishes to you all.
It's a great place for the kung fu
Food is fine.
Takes a lot of time to deliver 30-40 mins even in the same area
Chicken Monchow soup and chicken fried momos are great.
Food is good but the problem is we have to wait for long time for our turn. Before preparing they will confirm so that customer wil be happy. Easy to access this as this is located next to the road.
