I have been to Sagar Ratna before and love trying out different dishes every time. Now, they have introduced some new North Indian delicacies which seem really interesting. We ordered pindi chana kebabs with dahi dip and they were delicious. Along with that we had vegetable cheese dosa and mixed vegetable uttapam which were also pretty great. The drinks cold coffee and lassi were satisfactory too. This place surely is recommended for vegetarian variety dishes.
I wonder why this outlet is rated so low. We dined here for brunch, ate a lot of food - upma, butter garlic pepper dosa, Idli Vada and relished filter coffee. Food is nothing less than delicious. Relished each dish! Service was quick and good, as always.
I Have always admired the simplicity of Sagar Ratna. Non fancy places are the best!
Cheers!
This place has been around for years together(I mean i have been coming here from 2000) and they have maintained their spirit and integrity.. The staff are very friendly and helpful.. The food is simplistic in approach but delicious and spot on.. Keep up the good work and keep rolling out the good food guys..
Our server for the day was motiraj kuwar thank you for the amazing service bro
For a change, service has improved exponentially.
I love eating south indian food and its always a delite to eat at sagar ratna. The staff is very nice and you get lot of options to choose from. Butter masala dosa, rawa masala dosa and fliter coffee are awesome. A must visit place
The place has very less rating but I find the good decent here. I ordered Masala Dosa along with idli Sambhar. The Sambhar was quite luscious and the coconut chutney got perfectly paired with Masala dosa
Sagar ratna is a famous for its south indian food because of many varities.
I tried their paneer dosa which was really nice and i would give it a thumbs up and would like to try it once again.
The ambience was okaish, not mindblowing but not bad either.
Food - 3.5/5
Ambience-3/5
Service-4/5
I ordered dhosa from sagar ratna. It was awesome food , i love this taste,nd thier packing was also good. As we can say all is good , i would recommend everyone to go here.
South Indian food is one of my favourite and specially Dosa and Idli. And being a foodie I can’t say no to cheese 😅 when cheese comes with Dosa 😍 is truly bliss.
Apart from Cheese Dosa, I had lemon rice which Okie in taste. Red chutni is my favourite 🤤 and used to have 2 bowl of that with my Dosa. Place was good. Service and staff both were good but I will suggest u to clean your utensils with the tissue before use although they keep a place quite hygienic 😊
This is our go to place whenever we crave for South Indian food.. I have been visiting this place for years and the food quality is always great.. Their dosa's are flavourful and vada is very crisp and tasty..
Highly Recommend.
Great selection of vegetarian food and the food was good with ample choice. The staff is descent and make your dining experience a memorable one.
Awesome food. Lovely staff. Hygienic and nice. Love it. Thanks for being there. Lovely area. Nice place. Good interior. A must place yo treat oneself
packing quality is going down for liquid item
Very tasty food. But the delivery is snail pace very bad
delicious food
cheese vegdosa a must try
but one star less for overpriced menus
because their interiors are not so good
you will feel suffocated after a while no roof connected dining facility
at this price point we all expect this as a must be
food quality is good and tasty too. delivery is well on time.
Dropped in at a Sagar Ratna after ages. Helped myself to their masala dosa combo which includes a choice of beverage and a dahi vada. Sambar was salty but the dosa was perfect. There were 3 varieties of chutney also as accompaniment. Service was good. Great that these old chains are still able to hold their own against the onslaught of the MNC counterparts.
Starter - Good
Main Course : Good
Desserts : Ok
Ambience: Good (Mostly Professionals)
Music/Entertainment : Ok
Service : Not that Bad
You should try "Rawa Dosa" over here. Parking Issue was there. So Beware.
Some time back I went to sagar ratna and ordered idle and sambar vaada here. Taste was good and when served hot it was tasting more delicious. Just perfect only problem was little hygine problem which I felt but worth a try otherwise
Had Rava paneer masala dosa and spring roll dosa , both were tasty and fresh
And gadbad sundae for sweet , absolutely loved it
Staff is very friendly , well mannered and always there to help you
Will be visiting again and again
:D
Ordered spring roll dosa, which was amazing and with the staff providing you regular refill of sambhar and chutneys , you will really love the food. A nice quiet place to have a family dinner with affordable rates. Gadbad sundae (quite unusual name) was really mouth watering ! Do order it.
Awesome place, food , Ambience and what not.love to eat there. Love chettinad festival, and pysam also
Hey Sagar Ratna ppl we want a store in greater noida also......plz.
The ambience is OK. They have good options in south Indian food. The sweet corn soup is OK. I asked for a spare bowl but found it stained as plastic bowls do get stained. I asked for a change and I was given a steel bowl. The soup seems over priced. The vegetable pakoras were good though we had to wait and we had been informed. They served Onion, Potato, Paneer Gobhi and mirchi pakoras in that platter. The filter coffee was very very good. I had this coffee after a long time. The coffee and pakoras were a good combination and value for money.
Sagar Ratna is pretty much ubiquitous throughout the city, and from what I've noticed, they make an effort to maintain the same standard of quality in all their outlets.
The one in Mathura Road is no different, serving decent South Indian fare to its patrons. I prefer the Mysore plain dosa, or if I'm in the mood for self indulgence, generally go for the vegetable cheese dosa, which is essentially the dosa-fied version of the Domino's cheese burst pizza.
Wash your meal down with a glass of steaming filter coffee, it does make for a fine ending to the meal. Cheers!
Delhi is often identified as the paradise of Indian foodies and the reason stands quite justified. It is indeed the hotspot for all kinds of cuisines. From the lip-smacking culinary treats of the North to the extensive rich continental varieties, you have it all in the Capital City. And when it comes to the South Indian cuisines, Delhi does not fall behind. Thanks to the awesome food from the kitchens of Sagar Ratna, a food chain that has been establishing the vegetarian Southern delicacies right here in the Northern Capital City.
Good place to have a cheap and hearty meal. The ambience is not that great but the service staff are good. Do not try any Chinese dishes its not that great. Overall its an OK restaurant
Tired of the regular North Indian cuisines, I decided to make a move towards this widespread brand outlet of Sagar Ratna. Since I have been in Chennai for a long time I am pretty acquainted with the different tastes of the South Indian culinary culture and undoubtedly Sagar Ratna lives up to it in every possible way. The beautiful display of steel vessels definitely owe their origins to the South Indian patterns of serving food.We had ordered Ghee Roast Dosa, Dahi Vada and the South Indian thali along with two cups of Madrasi coffee as beverages. No wonder the Dahi Vada is an immediate reminder of the authentic South Indian tastes and the Ghee Roast Dosa remains loyal to its name with every drop of ghee oozing into your mouth with every single bite. Coming to the thali, the elaborate list of items contained rice, 4 pooris, sambar, rasam, bhindi kisabzi, a kuruma and the rava keasar as dessert. Oh yea, they had a pickle variation and a bowl of curd too.It goes without saying a thali is enough to satiate your hunger to the core.Sagar Ratna also extends its hands to Chinese cuisines not to disappoint its cuustomers. They have sundaes and juices too to offer the best one-stop solution for all your needs.A special word of appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality by the staff and management must be credited. An economic yet temptingly tasty meal.
Very good outlet i m coming from faridabad I was very hungry then I see Sagar Ratna I had ther rava masala onion very tasty and good service good ambience everything is good Taste to Remember
If there is a place for South Indian food then it is Sagar Ratna. Rasam Papad, Rawa Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa, Dahi Vada are too delicious and Sambhar ofcourse. I can visit this place any day again n again.
Very tasty food with quick service... Rates are fine... Enjoyed the food... Serving staff was also decent enough... Nice place to spend some good time...
Superb food and very near to my home. It takes just 20 minutes. North Indian and South Indian available at same place. My son love plain dosa.
I don’t understand how this particular outlet of sagar ratna has such a low rating. I have been going here since I was very little and the food is always good. I am not fond of south indian so I always order their shahi paneer or dal makhni with lacha paratha or naan. I prefer their shahi paneer to a lot of north indian restaurant’s like Motimahal.
I had some food home delivered recently and I was happy to see that they had maintained their standards. The shahi paneer was really good like always. The naan was slightly stretchy but then naan never really tastes the same after being reheated. I prefer their lacha paratha anyway, they make them really soft.
Had a meeting at Britannica, this meeting was next door and we were a team of four, 3 Punjabis and one Malayali. Two Punjabis ordered Dahi Bhallas + Dosas, the Malayali ordered Curd Rice and yours truly ordered Idli Platter, 4 idlis in four different colors.
Service was excellent, food was fine and Dosas were as fresh as Dosas can get.
Filter Coffee was good.
If you are in the vicinity and hungry, this place is perfectly fine. It is next door to Haldiram's and I am sure that I will always go for a Sagar Ratna over a Haldiram :)
The idli and dosas are not bad here and worth the price. I have had better in mumbai and down south but still very good and tasty for a nice Sunday breakfast.
One of the oldest sagar ratna outlets located on the national highway-2 but due to the construction of badarpur flyover and delhi metro its location has become a bit awkward. The south indian food is very good and chinese especially singapuri noodles is superb. Me and my family ordered paper plain dosa, singapuri noodles, masala dosa, cold coffee and a spring roll. Everything was good except the spring roll which was a bit oily.
One of the oldest Sagar Ratna so is its authentic taste ... lost its value after construction of Badarpur flyover as a person coming from delhi has to take slip road beside flyover which is over crowded and then take a U-turnI would rate this restaurant 5 on all aspects except its location hence overall 4.5 :(
Very old outlet on main mathura road, space lacks parking and you might face parking problem, went their many times with my family and cousins, and bet you wont be lowered on your satisfaction from this place, amazing dosa and uthapams.
Food-4/5
Service-4/5
Hygiene-4/5
Ambience-4/5
In last you get a PAAN ,which i always enjoy !!!!!!
There's is no love lost between me and south Indian cuisine.
But this place... though bursting at its seams with family types... made me eat dosas like anything.
Rawa masala dosa is better than sarvana bhawan n can give any polished eatery a run for it's money.
Sagar Ratna's Special Paneer Dosa is an absolute delight for dosa lovers and paneer enthusiasts alike. This dish combines the traditional South Indian dosa with a generous filling of flavorful paneer, creating a unique and memorable culinary experience.
It's warm and attentive service that truly makes you feel like a valued guest.
I highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful dining experience.
Amazing food as usual but it is still overpriced as per me.
A neat and pleasant place for good food, be it South Indian or North Indian food. Well maintained and the place looks neat and clean. Food is very good. Close to the main road and easily accessible.
I've savored the Mysore masala dosa and spring roll dosa at the eatery – both were delicious and freshly prepared. The attentive and friendly waitstaff enhance the dining experience in this tidy and inviting establishment, especially ideal for relishing South Indian cuisine. Conveniently situated near the main road, it's easily accessible
Not so spacious and the lighting is not great as well. The food is good no doubt and the prices are affordable. Service is really good and it is right next to the metro station. The views are not great though, just a good spot to eat south indian food.
The food was delicious and fresh. The waiters are very responsible and friendly. The only problem is the price seems to be very high. Overall it's good.
Now Sagar ratna become on a large scale because it have tooo many branches place place like jasola Mall near by DLF tower B in jassola Vihar okhala kalaka G Mohan state. it provide break fast facility lunch facility And dinner they also special arrange for birthday and marriages
New place with lavish South Indian/North Indian and Chinese food.
Taste is their priority and you don't have to wait for your order for more than 10 minutes! (The plus factor)
Come and have a bite with your partner/family/kids/parents, you they won't let your taste down!
I am one of the big fan of Haldiram's. However, this is the flagship restaurant. They have divided itself as. Groundfloor - sweets, First floor - Snacks & Outside is live kitchen.
One of my all time favourite is chole bhature and jalebi. My reason for reducing the star is parking. There is no valet parking and parking opposit to restaurant may be full at rush hours
Early morning on Sunday the outlet was open. Ordered food which was served in no time. Fresh, tasty and filling. Ambience is nice. Well kept, neat and clean. They do not straight forward offer bottled water, but serve their RO water in steel glasses, unlike other restaurants. Pricing is perfect. Staff is attentive. Thanks for such a great service.
Sagar Ratna is the first restaurant that i visited with my own money. I was 14 or 16 at that time and now after 10 years i visited again and ordered the same dish and received the same level of service.
it is a nice place with good service
Silent place, Easy location, good food but sofa etc need repairs or replacement. Wish them good luck.
Tried Sizzler and Kadhai Paneer it's yummy 😋
Few things from the menu were not available before 11 AM. However, it is a good place to dine in with family, friends or office colleagues. Good service. Awesome south indian food.
