I have been visiting these guys for over 9 years now and they remain my favourite MOMO JOINT so far. I have had friends from over the country who I have taken here and have fallen equally in love with the food as I have.
Get Set Gobble:
When here you must must order the CHICKEN STEAM MOMOS that are simply delicious. Their chilli sauce is mind blowing and one of the reasons why the momos taste so good. Ask for the SPECIAL CHILLI SAUCE and you are in for a treat. Order some pepsi/cold water on the side as you will surely need it :-D After eating 2 plates of the steamed one, I order the FRIED CHICKEN MOMOS that are simply as good.
My friends tried the VEGETARIAN STEAM & FRIED MOMOS and was equally happy with the flavour. Also try their VEG HAKKA CHOWMEIN. The portion sizes are very good and the prices are pocket friendly.
They serve you food on plastic chairs and tables in the open air so it isn't exactly very clean but then again which street food joint is. Nonetheless be prepared for a few flies and dirty chairs. But apart from that, you will have no complains when it comes to the food.
Enjoy decent Chinese at street vendors pricing in a small outlet in Priya market, their Chicken momos are juicy, filling, tasty (fry/steam) served with spicy red chutney (sauce) and their veg/chicken Singaporean chow-mein tastes delicious too. Their chilli chicken is so, so (nothing special infact wouldn't recommend you to try), earlier they prepared decent semi gravy chilli chicken that really complimented their Veg/chicken Singaporean chow-mein. All the dishes they prepare here are filling and served in good portions. You get the full value for your money as it is easy, fast, filling, cost-effective with friendly staff. This small outlet with few chairs and tables has gained tremendous popularity and is always gushing with young people.
Ma rating is all for the chicken momo it's yummy the sause sincerely if you are a spicy food lover the sause is the reason I go and have their chicken momo...in total love with it..if you haven't tried do try it's yummmm!!
Chinese Hut serves delicious chicken momos. Big juicy pieces filled with good quantity of chicken. The chutney served with it is also good. Thick red and spicy. Do try it out.
This place's momos quality is really good! They serve a big sized momos with a good amount of filling along with a super duper spicy red momos chutney!! Trust me, with every bite of momo dipped into this chutney, water would come out of your nose and eyes!!! It's so spicy that your lips would turn red, yet you'll continue to enjoy the drooling experience!
I recommend having these momos with the yummy chicken clear soup on their menu! The clear soup is one of the best soups on their menu!!
Their chilly garlic noodles are my favourite too on their menu!! I make sure always to add a little bit more of vinegar and chilly sauce to it!!!
If you've been to this market and not tried their chicken Momos . You have surely missed out on a lot. Their chicken Momos are so juicy and just perfect. Apart from that you can try their chicken soup , However I am not that big a fan of that.
Would definitely recommend Chicken momos
The World Best Momos.. BECAUSE, they make the World's Best Chilli Sauce to go with it! You just have to try their Fried Momos with the Chilli Sauce.. I promise you'll fall in love with it!
A favourite since a long time.. I am a crazy fan of Chinese & they serve the best of the lot.. The only negative.. Well, their Menu is limited.. But whatever they have tastes amazing! :) Must must must try!
I have a lot of memories of my childhood penniless days! Hehe wherein v used2 bunk school n Hv noodles n soup! For lunch. Those days r long past now but this hut opposite PVR priya has still the same spicy n yummy taste of Chinese stuff may it b noodles, momos or the fried rice.
It is very pocket friendly just like any regular Chinese van. Ul always find young couples sitting n having noodles n momos on the few tables placed randomly.
The priya complex has lost its essence due to the numerous malls opened off late n the pubs opened in the complex due to which sometimes after the evening , the crowd u come across is all drunk n abit scary but a few outlets like this Chinese hut , Pizza Hut and the Arabian nites still give me dt old vibe.
Ps: please take note that the food is all spicy here so if uv a sensitive stomach, make sure u ask him to be a bit low on spices! :D
Great street food. The momos have been a delight since long. Soups & noodles are also worth trying.

If you are famous around your peers for being adventurous, and fearlessly eating where all others fear to eat, then the Chinese Hut at Basant Lok is for you. This is not to say that the food is bad, but just to say that it is very very strong and spicy. Therefore, if you are in the mood for truly tingling up your tastebuds, ask your tummy's permission first!
Located in the Priya market, this corner joint has been around for a long time. The funny part is, some years ago a Yo China sprang up bang opposite it and the contrast was evident. Yo China had good looking exteriors, a concierge and a decent entrance. It also had a clean-looking glass cubicle outside selling takeaway dim sums. By contrast, the Chinese Hut is tiny, shabby and ancient. With all sorts of spelling errors on the "menu" which is printed on the walls and waiters who are not exactly that, just small efficient boys who keep changing. Despite all this, the place continues to have those who ignore the far more attractive place opposite and squat on the garden chairs and single wooden table that constitutes their seating area.
Priya market was the erstwhile hub of this part of town, which has somehow gone past its salad days since the advent of the malls. The crowd has become slightly dubious and the evenings can be uncomfortable with too many drunk pubgoers hanging around. It has also become more of a 'chore' kind of place, with the presence of some supermarkets and millions of banks. The shopping is still good though and if you don't feel like sitting in a restaurant, the Chinese Hut can be tried. Their momos are great and their sauce tasty, with the right combination of sweet and spice. The chowmien and fried rice are other options, with lots of vegetables and spices The one chair-table set there is nearly always occupied with a couple munching away on the cheap Chinese, as well as plenty of other people standing around for the takeaway. The food is tasty but as mentioned earlier, be careful; it is certainly not for the sensitive stomach. You'll enjoy the extreme spice in their sauces and noodles, but would need to follow it up with a digene or any other digestive :)
The prices- cheap. For a plate of dimsums and maybe a fried rice, it would be about Rs 150.
Recommended for the adventurous.
Nice veg momos for 50 rupees
