One of the best Puttu and Kadala I had in my life. Kadala is a special, slightly spicy preparation which is very tasty.
The restaurant is small, but wholesome. The coffee reminds me of filter coffee you get in Tamil Nadu.
Found this one after sitting hungry in Palakkad Railway and the Google reviews lived up to the expectations.

This restaurant made me to feel the fulfillment of Kerala style foods. Their coconut puttu and kadala curry was awesome and appam was also good but I would be great if appam was hot. Finally I tried their Elai Adai which was totally new to me which tasted like kolukatta but stuffed with avul. Highly recommended to visit.
One of the very few good hotels in Olavakkode main area. I have tried breakfast, lunch, and dinner here many days. Good healthy and tasty food.
Elayada, Uzhunu vada, sweet and savouries are good too.
For lunch, they serve 3 different vegetables which you won't get anywhere near Olavakkode.
Old aged people are working tirelessly and serving is good.

Very Old restaurant dating back to decades. Recently they renovated to the modern style. I had meals from here that is just okay. But one who should taste Vada elayada seva and filter coffee that is literally palatable and yummy too

Excellent food and service. We were on the train and ordered over call. They brought the food exactly our compartment when the train stopped at Palakkad. The food was fresh, hot and very well packed.
Not to forget, the coffee was really delicious ✨
