The ambience and food was awesome.. perfect hospitality..the chef is European, so you will get authentic cuisine..worth spending money for..would highly recommend this place..
On New Year's Eve had the pleasure of enjoying the best Mezze I have had so far anywhere in the world. It was a pure delight on all levels. I was left almost speechless as to how tasty it was.
You won't find a thing there that you might not like. The attention to detail is immaculate and the balance of the dishes just right. Special thanks to the owner and the staff for taking care of the baby while we enjoyed our food. Keep up the good work team Desbue..:)

Great food & great ambience. Just the perfect blend of East meets West
Fantastic food. Great blend of east and west.
I went there with another friend of mine who is very fond of Italian food and she thoroughly enjoyed this place.
We ordered for
Summer rolls -prawns version
Grilled chicken pasta
Mac and cheese
Iced tea ( which was really nice)
Lemon juice
They were really good with the cheese ingredients. They follow authentic Italian tastes. It is the right place to try proper European food.
Ambiance :5/5
Food :3.5/5
Value for money :3.5/5
Service :4/5
I loved the food here, the smoothies were delicious and food was absolutely as per our choice, the only issue is Portion size is a bit smaller than usual unlike the rest Goa. We ordered watermelon and feta salad, mac and cheese and grilled chicken in red wine sauce. The food was delicious and oh so pretty looking also. Tucked in the bylanes of fountainhas this surely is a place to visit
The ambiance is a wow đ ....................
The food is also good need a highly designed classy place with lovely ambiance and good food...
A nice comfy place.. The food not only tastes great but looks fantastic as well. I've shared some photos for evidence. The only downside are drinks. Some might enjoy the robust combinations. Well, let me just say that its not my cup of tea.
Definitely a cosy little boutique hotel located in the Latin quarter of Panjim. Beautiful interiors and I must say a really peaceful ambience. The Scallion Beef was a perfect start to the evening. Real delicious. The Entree Champignon Steak was mouthwatering and flavoursome!!
Would recommend it as a 'must try out'. The evening turned out pleasant and the staff were really well mannered and courteous.
No words can describe the experience I had there. I can eat that Steak Champignon and Geen Tea Pannacotta everyday for the rest of life. Heavenly.
Must visit for anyone visiting Goa. And do ask for Chef Kishor, you don't get to meet legends everyday.
This place is excellent, food was wonderful, the service was attentive but not overbearing. Congratulations to the Chef and operators, highly recommended.
Visited this place for dinner on a Wednesday night. We ordered baked mussles & filo cigar rolls for starters both of which tasted amazing but I felt the portion size was too less as per the price. (for all the dishes). Roasted duck, fried chicken & fries & fish in banana leaf was for main course which again tasted amazing but we were dissatisfied by the portion size. For desserts we ordered green tea Panacotta & chocolate filo rolls (which was my personal favorite of the lot). Loved it, do try this dessert.
The ambience is pretty cool & it's on the expensive side so plan your visit accordingly.
Great fine dining restaurant hidden away in Fontainhas. Excellent fusion cuisine. Serving portions are just right. Strongly recommend the dessert platter - especially the snickers
Firstly for all those wondering, alcohol is now available here.
Going to the ambiance, it's got this nice rustic European feel. Pastal shades of green walls, green paintings, chairs, cushions a big thumbs up on the look. Considering this is fine dining, we did expect a lot, especially for the premium rates one is paying. We ordered the champignon steak , safe to say the sauce was the most amazing sauce ever, the mushrooms and the hash brown was perfectly cooked. The only drawback was infact the main ingredient and that was the beef. We ordered for a medium steak, they served us a rare one. Most top end places would definitely replace your dish as we had already had a bit of it and noticed this later on. They took the bed an just tossed it on the pan and replaced it, it still had a few rare areas though. The green tea panacotta was lovely with a subtle flavor of green tea. On the whole it's a one time visit place.
in Fontainhas, but it was only recently â out of curiosity â that I actually entered. It was totally unplanned, I wasnât even dressed the part. A friend who was down in Goa and I were heading to lunch at. Viva Panjim, but we hadnât booked a table and it was super crowded. As a result. of which we walked out and took a walk towards the St Sebastian Chapel in
This is the second time I have visited this place and I love it over here. The decor, ambiance, food, service and perfect music to go along everything is just superb. It makes u feel that u r sitting in a restaurant in Europe and that's just an amazing feeling to itself.
Please do try the chicken steak and rosemary chicken both were just superb.
I don't really know if I loved their food more or the ambience. Beautiful interiors reflecting pastel shades of green along with a European influence make  it classy and rustic. Coming to the food, we had ordered Braised Duck, Grilled Chicken Steak and a Rosemary Lime Roast Chicken and sure as I must say, we savoured every bit of them. Each of the dish had a distinct flavour with the meat so juicy and flavourful. I personally loved the mashed potatoes which was just too marvellous.Â
Would have loved to give it a 5 but the absence of alcohol or even some beer kind of bummed us out. But more than that, the major shocker was our bill. For the above said items, the bill came upto 1.6k which I feel is a bit on the higher side for regular visits. I would rather put it in the list of places where you'd wanna give yourself a lavish treat. ;)
A little classy European fusion restaurant manage by La Maison Fontainhas. During Christmas 2016 I was staying in La Maison and Desbue is open for in-house guest as well for public. Limited seating, catchy decor, delicious meal. Luxury dining in Heritage home have a different feeling. They do have kids menu as well.
Our regular breakfast always have masala omelette with mashed potatoes and sausages. My personal favourite dishes are - stir fry vegetables, chicken steak and fish with white bean sauce. Everything cooked to perfection.
As I always love to drink tea after my meal, few restaurants have a great taste. I got one here - Jasmine Mandarin. Its a Chinese Green Tea infused with Jasmine. Highly aromatic, calm the mind and body.
Little heavier in pocket but never mind if I pay for delightful experience with good food and classic service.
This Quaint little restaurant is an exquisite place to go for a lunch. The area it's in is itself pretty. The ambiance here is calm and I love the way the restaurant is done up. The service staff were very polite. The afternoon we went, there were 4 other tables and I don't think they were equipped to handling so many tables because what we ordered took an hour to come. It was particularly@ annoying because we had arrived before most of the other tables and we got our food last. The food though was very well made. The stuffed beef, seafood bowl and the carppacio were flavourful and well presented. There is a certain elegance to the place. It is more of an expensive restaurant.
A good restaurant should serve good food. There's no need to be pretentious about it. They are probably the only restaurant I know that can serve HALF a cherry tomato in a dish where it is listed on the menu as an accompaniment! Our guests who stayed there later were also amused that while they make a big point of serving only premium bottled water at the restaurant (the price of which will buy you a fish meal at a more 'local' place), they provide only half-litre bottles of Bisleri in your rooms.
I really have to give it to the owner for the beautiful interiors of this restaurant and La Maison Fontainas, the hotel this restaurant is a part of. The food is equally good. We stayed there for a couple of days and two dishes that stood out to us in particular were the Chicken breast with perfectly done creamy mashed potatoes, and the other one is the vegetable soup we had made a special request for even though it was not on their standard menu. They served us with such a soothing soup with very unique ingredients that hit just the right notes! Loved the experience!
Amazing...the ambience , pork ribs , nutty crunchy chocolate and the pomegranate chicken salad...the taste is mesmerizing...the taste of the dessert lingering ... excellent find
My tastebuds are still singing from the experience!
We tried the Seafood Bowl entree which was really overflowing with clams, calamari, fish, prawns and crab in a tasty broth.
Next we enjoyed the Rosemary Lime Roast Chicken which was presented like a satay, the hummus-like dip and the bitter herbs really complement the dish.
For mains, we ate the STANDING-OVATION-IF-WE-COULD-worthy Spanish Pork Ribs, served very nicely 'by two'...they are one of the best pork ribs I have EVER eaten - melt-in-mouth pork infused with an orange-marmalade like sauce. It was served with potato shavings layered like filo pastry and some greens.
Wish I could tell you about the Matcha Tea pannacotta which we were really looking forward to. It hadn't set yet and so was not available. The rest were mostly rich chocolate based innovations but we were totally sated to try any one of them.
The restaurant itself has a Victorian-grunge aesthetic to it that is fairly popular these days. Service was attentive but infact we were the only diners there on the weekday we visited..i wonder why, but it made managing/eating with Lil Miss easier and the experience cosier.
The food easily surpasses 5-star. That said, the menu is carefully curated with barely 10 items in each section (mains/entrees etc). Portions are generous.
I was really surprised to know the place had been open >2 years. Most places serving food this good would've had patrons queuing up anywhere else... perhaps it's unadvertised, quiet location in Fontainhas explains the solitude about this absolute gem.
Really great food and service. They have a separate kids menu which also helped a lot. Everything was yummy especially the green tea panacotta. Really worth going once more
There was literally just us in the restaurant. But what a great find! Excellent food and a great ambience. Beautifully done up. We ordered almost all kinds of meats and everything was finger-licking-good. The calamari was fresh. Asparagus Risotto was done to perfection. The only downside was that they do not have a liquor license yet. But that didn't bother us much.
In the beautiful by lanes of the colorful Latin Quarters of Fontainhas lies Desbue, with a delectable range of Modern Euopean Cuisine and with interiors so elegant, Desbue serves as a treat to your eyes too!  My favourites were  dessert platter and the watermelon feta salad !
This is THE place to go to if your looking for delicious food! Its like getting the taste of Europe in Goa. Highly recommend it to all! I will definitely visit it again
This is one of the prettiest restaurants in Goa, the location of the restaurant and the complimentary interiors give it a very different vibe. I loved my dining experience here. I ordered the Watermelon Feta, the Beef carpaccio, Mezze platter and I ended this delicious meal with a Green Tea Panna Cotta. A truly must visit place!!!
Desbue, the very interiors of this place will have you dropping your jaw down! The beautiful interiors like no other place. Much of a boutique restaurant, the aura of this place is just beautiful! Iâve tried out their steak well done and it definitely was a bravo! Donât miss out on their molten chocolate cake, its definitely the cherry on the topping.
Perfect dining experience! This place has a wonderful baroque decor that mesmerizes you. The food is great and service is super friendly. A must try for sure!
The drapes, furniture, art and chandeliers all seem to make it their job to cdlm you down. The rice rolls with prawns are really lovely. One of the best places to go to for European food. What adds on is its ambience and service. Great ambience, with fabulous and lush interiors. Worth a visit.
One of the best places to go to for European food. What adds on is its ambience and service. If you must try any of the items, I would suggest the beef steak. One of the best steaks I've eaten, since it was cooked to perfection. đ If your still not satiated, try out their desserts. Chocolate snickers was my favourite. Overall it was a good experience âșïž
The ambience of the place is really soothing. The drapes, furniture, art and chandeliers all seem to make it their job to cdlm you down. The rice rolls with prawns are really lovely. Also tried the stuffed beef, medium well, and it was perfect, as also the accompaniments. The Spanish pork ribs had too much of fat on them. I would have preferred more meat on it, the portion did look a bit big, really loved the sauce and potatoes with cheese that came along. Now coming to dessert, we did try the green tea pannacotta. It does look like a work of art, although abstract. It does fox you with that mango purée, because, you're thinking that it does not taste like mango! Overall, the place was nice and did have a European feel to it.
Stopped by Desbue for lunch, and ordered the Watermelon & Feta Salad which was exquisite, given the surging heat. Great ambience, with fabulous and lush interiors. Worth a visit.
Located in a Fontainhas lane, Desbue has wonderful ambience and food. The rating on zomato is undeserved! Done up a bit like the set of a period film, every bit of the restaurant is in a shade of calming green. They also have a cute B&B attached.
We were the only table occupied and the servers were very friendly and polite. I asked for coffee and it turned out to be one of the best I've had in Goa. It came in a set of espresso, milk and sugar separates with very pretty crockery. The iced tea was average.
In the starters, make sure you ask for the mezze platter. They pass off bharta as babaganoush and the whole platter comes together very well. It is large and can be shared by three. I liked the bits of apricot in the cous cous.
The mains we all very good, especially their steak and honey mustard chicken. Cooked very well and the accompanying salad is really fresh.
I'm not much of a dessert person, but I still liked the flan, green tea pudding and nutty fruity chocolate! I've heard mixed reviews about this place but I'd definitely go again.
Located in the inner lanes of Mala Fontainhas, is this fine dining restaurant. It is a part of the la Maison hotel. They have a variety of teas, which will help to build your appetite towards having a good meal. They have some very interesting dishes for starters and main course. The desserts are the ones I liked the most. The only negative for this place, is that it is difficult to find. Also when I visited this place, they were yet to receive their bar license.

The food and ambience here is great. Loved the place. It offers some exquisite European fusion dishes. Everything from the starters to the desserts were excellent. The spring rolls, chicken steak and the green tea pannacotta are to die for and my favourites here. One of the best restaurants in Panjim.
The restaurant is in a very nice location. Loved the ambience and cutlery crockery and service and everything else. But the food was not up to the mark. They need to make more sense in their presentation. U need to present something on food which also that can be eaten. The steak we ordered were good but the baby carrots were under cooked. The seafood bisque was good but did find a shell on the prawn.
DESNUE is located amidst the oldest, and by far the most atmospheric, Portuguese-flavoured district of Panaji City. Â Fontainhas makes for attractive wandering with its narrow streets, overhanging balconies and quaint air of Mediterranean yesteryear.Â
Its a Part of Hotel La Maison and serves some amazing European food .
Since we were staying at La Maison , DESBUE was the place for breakfast and European food.
Some amazing Breakfast served here but the must try is the Coffee.
Frankly , i didn't try the food here but there were 2 in the group who gave a thumbs up to Steak ( baby potatoes/mushrooms/redwine) and Watermelon Feta ( rocket, tomato, coriander, chilli)
Its on my wishlist and will surely visit this place.
Filo Filo Pastry - ricotta, spinach, lemon caper sauce
Stuffed chicken.
Nutty & Fruity Chocolate are recommended .
When I walked into this restaurant, I was in total awe! It spells European through and through! But I loved the attention to detail the most. Everything is color co-ordinated. The food however is just decent. I've had the duck, beef and chicken steak here. But if you are a tea lover like me, you will love this place! Fine teas-I'd recommend the Rose Bloom
A new restaurant in town "DESBUE". Someone who wants to try some good European fusion food now opened up in panjim.. A must try from the menu is the barbeque pork ribs with potato au gratin, brocolli & carrots N the yummy arugula salad with poached egg & bacon.... The food here is just awsom!!
