When I was searching for best bebinca (a Goan delicacy 😋), I came to know about this sweet little outlet located near municipal garden since decades.
People are really friendly and polite over here.
One can find a variety of Goan desserts at this place such as bebinca, dodol, serradura.
Happy to visit such a legendary outlet.
This was a great place to experience for our taste buds in Goa. We loved their beef samosas, chicken patties and sausage patties. We may have finished all their samosas - Tom Varghese and our boys had to devour it before they vanished. I personally loved the flavour of the sausage patty and loved every bite.
The owner and staff were very friendly too.
The best bebinca in Goa and aunty's million dollar smile! The cake was soft and the balance of flavours was perfect. A must visit if you are going to Goa.
Really lovely little place to stop for a quick bite, or to stock up on snacks and desserts for your home. Their puffs, beef samosas and patties are really good- fresh pastry, loaded with meat and not too greasy. Simple and subtle home style sandwiches, as well. The rum balls are yummy, and the other pastries are good.
This has been one of my favorite bakery since i was a kid. The staff is soo friendly. I love the mcroons, cupcakes, pattice and the bebinca. The deserts are fresh.
The bebinca was out of the world. What a gorgeous cake. The 7 layers were a perfect blend of flavors. Not too sweet but it had a coconuty taste with a delicate silky texture. In short absolutely melt in the mouth perfect. The lady was very kind to have given us the 1/2 kg cake that she was saving for someone who had ordered it; since we were running late.
Tried a few other snacks too like the chicken patties, chicken samosas and the walnut brownies but they did not compare to the bebinca.
A nice place where a nice elderly couple serves you snacks. Not only the food items are good but they are extremely easy on the pocket as well. If you want some nice bakery items, do visit this place and rest assured you won't be disappointed. Also the fact that this shop has been there for close to a century and still making you fall in love with their food says a lot about how awesome in terms of consistency and longevity.
Delicious Portuguese Goan snacks! One of the Oldest bakeries in Goa, but consistently providing fresh goodies. Amazing prawn ressois, beef croquets, beef samosa's, pattis. Egg chops are one of a kind! A refreshing cup of tea with their snacks, and I'm good to go.
Very warm and wonderful lady at the counter who always greets us with a smile!
Will definately visit again. This time to try the bebinca.
This is the best bakery to buy amazing bibin (binbinka/bibinca) . They also have nice varieties of sponge cakes
The ambience is nice.....Old style 1922
The lady at the counter was very welcoming 😊
I was told about this place by my friend and it turns out to be the simple yet best place to hangout.
I bought their signature "Bibinca Cake" and a muffin. The muffin was freshly prepared and it was so soft to savour.
Shoutout for this eatery and please endure the cutest Aunty's million dollar smile.

Simple place managed by Sweet old lady. .. loved the Chicken patties and baked lemon cookies.. went second time in the same day for a refill on the cookies.. must visit in panji
Beautiful place ! Truly a Goan Portuguese feeling , nice to see most of the old panjimites there and not to forget the Aunty there who is so patient and always busy yet smiling. The snacks are off course always great !
Best for bibinca cake. Walking fron panjim bus stop. You can get freshly made bibinca cake. It is a seven layered goan cake. Very different and unique in taste
I loved the place..
No fuss simple sitting.
The owners are very good and lovable.
Must try
Rum ball
Bebinca
Keep away from
cold coffee
a chocolate I forgot the name of but it is made of rice coconut & goan black jaggery
Fresh home made Bebinca is must try, its completely different than the one you get packed. Gaon ball is must try, flavorful.
Ambiance 3/5
food 5/5
service 5/5
Quaint little shop at the corner..
Serves small bites and sweets. We were hungry and looking for lunch after 4 pm so everything was closed. So this was the only place we could find that could serve us. We had chicken patties, beef samosa and beef chops. The patties were very delicious. Samosa not that much and the chops were tasty but there were more veggies than beef in it.
And we had a cold coffee, which was like any other. All this came in under 150 so it is very cheap.
Interiors are a bit cute, the old lady behind the counter was adorable 😊

Very very limited selection of off the counter food. The brownies are yuuuummm and gooey, just perfect consistency. The Swiss roll is yum. They have pois ( Goan bread) and bebinca ( Goan egg and coconut based layered cake). Quality of food is good.

I loved MR BAKER 1922 :*
Usual jay-walking and shopping around Panjim landed Aiyer1521 and I in this quaint but clean shop. Yes, we had been recommended of this bakery by the locals all across Goa wherever we were stopping and inquiring about Bebinca. Well, we realised that once we encountered the two most enterprising ladies at the counters. By then we had already bought off-the-shelf Bebincas from some local shops selling cashews and port wines.
We were not that hungry but the smell of the fresh bakery items did tingle my taste-buds. I instantly ordered some and started having it.
My wife struck a casual conversation with the nice lady at the counter and we ended up buying the best bebincas ever. We were looking for some local doss - although we didn't get what we were looking for but bought some other variants maybe because doss is very seasonal. But the sweet we bought instead did taste awesome.
This cafe is frequented by very young crowd as I could gauge, and the granny at the counter is too very sweet with how she comes across to one and all.
Please keep on spreading love with the home made savouries and desserts.
This is one of the oldest bakery's in Goa which serves fresh products.
One of the best things about this place is that an old lady (who must be close to 80 years) pack your stuff and suggests what to eat. Also got to meet the owner of the bakery who was extremely warm and welcoming. She even treated us to buttermilk which was much needed in the hot weather.
We had Bebinca, Easter eggs and Guava pudding here which was very fresh and lasted days (got stuff packed).
Prices are reasonable
Highly recommend it...:)
The name says it all. An idle place for lazing bang in the middle of Panjim right next to the Municipal Park. Pick up their amazing cakes, tarts or patties and have a lovely picnic in the park next door. The polite lady lets you sit their for as long as you want sipping coffee while you taste their amazing brownies, swiss rolls or an almond tart. They make one of the best homemade bebincas to carry back home
The owner was very good and helpful and took the time out to talk and understand each of his customers.
The bebincas are absolutely delicious and I would recommend them. The serradura is also very delicious
Fantastic place what a taste really unique in Goa rum ball, cakes prawn items, chicken items just superb.. Owner gem of a person must visit place in Panjim..
Made a unique dessert with Mr Baker's Wood fire Beninca in the centre, slices of Mr Baker's normal Beninca in the sides interspaced with vanilla icecream, crumpled chocolate chip cookies in the centre. Topped the entire dessert with a bit of dark rum and crushed roasted almonds. My friends loved it especially the Wood fired Bibenca from Mr Baker, Panjim, Goa. Thanks to Lynnette, the beautiful Owner of this lovely bakery for maintaining such high culinary standards set up by her mother.
Do visit this bakery when in Panjim. Have their salted caramel tarts, egg cutlets , veg cutlets, prawn cutlets and so many goodies for a quick, inexpensive, authentic Goan snack.
This is a very well known outlet you find in Goa…clearly a favourite for lot of people…they sell. Bibinca,Perelda and Doce along with balls …good stuff …staff was courteous to explain what are the ingredients for each item …worth a visit if you want to explore the Goan sweet taste
As authentic as can be a must visit if you are into authenticity. Every item on the menu was tasty for sure. A very pleasant lady with a wonderful heart served us, it’s clear this place is her passion! Thank you for this delightful experience to the heart, eyes and my stomach a delight to speak with Nathan I believe he is the overseer at this place and loved how he shared the history of this place…..always a story to know
The boss is warm, the junior boss is very friendly, sweet delicacies are wonderful, good coffee
Loved the Rum Balls. A place with good history of over 100 years. Great customer service. Muffins are good. A must visit place if you are around Panjim market area.
Goa is known for its rich and warm cuisine. As, I am a morning person, breakfast is the first thing which comes to my mind. Precisely, a good breakfast!
.
Heard! @mrbaker1922 is a must visit bakery or cafe in goa, panaji. So thought of visiting there and guys I was so amused with the varieties they have and of course with the simplicity of ambience. I ordered so many things to have it and for parcels as well.
.
Prawns rissoi, Beef Samosa, Chicken Samosa, Goan Baath Cake, Guava cheese, Doosh, Beef croquettes and a few more.. A sip of coffee with a crunch of savouries, gosh just can't forget. Goodness of each goan sweets, Oooh I happily enjoyed my breakfast.
Do visit!! It starts 10.30 AM to 7 PM!! All day.
Mr Baker, once you enter you're greeted by the owners themselves right from the order to serve on the table they take care of it. Very polite and sweet gestures towards anyone who are the first time or know for years. We tasted the beef samosa, the beef croissant, the prawn's rissoles (must try), and chicken sandwiches (yummy). Good old bakery is a perfect place to try and to talk about the prices cost around 600/- for four of us. A must-visit bakery!
Always love cakes , peradventure etc.
You will get traditional Goan pastries.
Mr Baker 1922 started first bakery in Mapuca.
Now they are shifted to Panaji opposite Hindu Pharmacy.
Amazing cakes 🎂 🥮 🍥 🥞 🧁 🍰 and savoury Goan snacks.
Pastry Bolo sans Rival , Keto friendly pastry. Base is cashew nuts.
Love to have these.
Add this to your bucket list when you visit Goa
Discover the tastiest bebinca in Goa at this century-old bakery. Try out Goan Perad
and the Doce, a typical homemade Portuguese treat made of Channa dal, coconut, caster sugar, and ghee.
The food disappears off the racks quickly, so arrive early if you want to choose from a decent selection of samosas and patties.
Went there yesterday noon to get some bebinca and what a warm welcome we got. The traditional wood fire bebinca was so delicious and fresh and so were the coconut biscuits bolinhas. We had a croquette and shortbread jammies and on their recommendation, had the pudding serradura which was such a treat on a hot day, creamy, and yet so
light. A refreshing lime soda, and some friendly chat with the owner and my kid was all recharged to go. Highly recommend.

I love their version of prawn rissois and bibinca. The rissois are a Portuguese or perhaps Portuguese inspired preparation that’s like this crescent shaped prawn pocket. Extremely tasty. One can easily polish off 4 to 5 of these easily. And the bibinca is not to greasy and overly sweet. Just perfect. They also make this sponge cake which is layered with chocolate cream, again something that not too sweet. They have so many other products, yet to try them all. I’ve tried croquettes, and also potato chops which are these mince meat filled potato cutlets. These are good but not rissois level good. And I got samosas here on two different occasions, but dry both times. The restaurant is nice and had a very simple setup. The outside is very unassuming. The staff is nice and is wearing a mask at all times. Hand sanitizer is at the door. They don’t do temp check which is not mandatory I think I Goa. Plus people pick up stuff here and are in and out quite quickly.
Oh and did I mention I am a fan of their Rissois ☺️
This is the oldest bakery in the heart of Panjim, Goa. I visited along with my family in 2020 November and it was a wonderful experience. The owner is so friendly and suggested us what goan delicacies to taste. The “bebinca”( a goan aunthentic dessert) is exquisite and the prawn cutlets were wonderful. Looking forward to visit this place again. Special thanks to Miss Nenet for the kind and heartful welcome.
Located about five minutes walk from immaculate conception Church in Panaji this bakery sells few Goan traditional snacks and sweets.
Ordered beef samosa, prawn rissois and tea in this bakery. About 12 -15 people can sit and eat in this bakery. All three things ordered were good, prawn rissois is a must have snack here. Ambience is good. Service is quick and rates are decent. Bebinca and batica here are sold only as per size, and we have to buy one full bebinca or batica which for solo travelers like me is not affordable or posible to finish eating one size.

I missed my mom’s home food so I asked my wife to pick up some from Mr. Bakers’ in Goa since she was on holidays with some friends.
She picked up meat croquettes and carrot walnut cake from here and they were both absolutely amazing! I bet the secrets’ in this bakery’s 100 year old legacy.
Even the ambience is so inviting. Kudos to the chef/ chefs at the bakery.
I wish there was a bakery like this in Dubai, although there is an actual bakery called Mister Baker here, it ain’t anywhere close to the one in Goa.
I can’t wait to go back and try each and every thing at this bakery the next time I go to Goa.
My go to place at Panjim for traditional goan snacks and their coffee from machine. A famous, well known bakery. And they have started keeping the rare and delicious cake of Goa called "Bolo Sans Rival". Niro, the slow pressed Cashew juice is available now .
