Went for dinner on a weekday. We were the only ones at 7pm, the restaurant was packed by 8.15pm.
This is a 60yo restaurant (1963), at "Church Square", serving arguably the best Goan cuisine in town.
Snacks: Beef tongue pepper garlic, sausage chilli fry, pork cream chop.
Entrée: Beef pulav, sausage p
George’s Bar isn’t as well known as Joseph’s but every bit as good. It’s a local joint with good food, decent seating and a goods selection of booze. It’s right in front of the Panjim Church so finding it & parking are a breeze
Food served here is wholesome and delicious. Ate the beef stew that was cooked with green peas and veggies. It was simple and very tasty. Also, the rates are reasonable. Will definitely visit again.
Nice ambience with great location.
Vindaloo was the best that I tasted here
Authentic Goan food..
I love this place so much..
Super delectable food♥️♥️♥️
Much is hyped about certain 'Instagrammable' bars and restaurants in and around Altinho/Fontainhas in Panjim.
However, as a foodie, my take is go beyond following the social media masses please. Let your heart and your stomach guide you to the right spots..
And that's exactly how I landed up at Geor
Place is good for local Goan food for quick meals. Small outlet. Ambience is not that catchy.
Pork sausages chilly was tasty. Fish curry with rice was authentic.
Placed at prime location.
"Savor Haven offers a delightful culinary experience with a diverse menu and expertly crafted drinks. The inviting ambiance, impeccable service, and attention to detail make it a top choice for both intimate dinners and lively gatherings. A true gem in the heart of the city!"
Lovely restaurant, right next to the Panjim Church. The food is good and authentic but looking at the quantity and service the food items are overpriced and expensive.
You can visit if you are looking to try some authentic goan cuisine.
The restaurant is small and cozy. A small group or a family c
Iconic food place, all food well balanced and with authentic local touch. A place to visit and have it on checklist
We visited George restaurant a few days back . we ate there 5 times of the total 6 meals , we could in Panjim. The food was as good as when, I ate here 20 years back. All the dishes were out standing , the portions were huge and complete value for money. Monty the waiter was as always spot on , fant
Amazing value for money! Excellent food taste with can tickle your taste buds. We ordered veg fried rice x2 , chicken lolly, prawn fried , Squids masala fry, Ghobi Manchurian and some drinks.
Must try hotel for the Goan food lovers. Beef and pork lovers it's a paradise. Beef pulao was a heaven to the taste buds, the meat so well cooked and was moist. The pulao rice flavors were so welcoming to the mouth. The masala was appropriate not much not less. Even the pork torradinha was too yumm
It is located opposite the Mary Immaculate Conception Church. And the best option for lunch after the visit. The restaurant is quite popular with the locals. They have two floors for dingn, the ground floor is non-AC and the first floor is AC. We opted for AC seating. We got a table immediately.

If you still want to experience original Goa and it's cuisine, GEORGE is the place to go to. It still has the same childhood memories from 50 years ago and the same authentic stamp. It's old world charm still holds, in a place swamped by brutal commercialization. No frills, no fancy, just authentic
Pork dishes available in this Bar and Restaurant. Friendly service.
