We found this cafe by chance while we were on our Sunday morning bike ride. It a nice old Portuguese style house. We had a sandwich and coffee.. food was ok .. and the Coffee was good...
I visited this place yesterday, food was really tasty . I was satisfied like the food was healthy and way of delivering was fantastic, you can also order at your on place , and price is also good. This place if highly recommended. Will make sure to visit again

This was not a recreational trip but a business one...I was mostly tired with work and decided to extend a day in Goa before coming back to my city.... Because I had just one day, I wanted to explore some of the interesting things and my love for food took to me to this tiny, little, beautiful cafe situated right in the Heart of Panjim city.
I had a perfect time with myself enjoying the fresh made Peace Apricot Iced Tea, Veg Verdure Pizza and the Blueberry cheesecake (my favorite) along with the great attic sitting at this cute cafe... A good host, beautifully tuned guitar with nice songs at the background made my day. Black Vanilla is a must visit if you are near Vagator Beach or surrounded by the Panjim City. Its a perfect place to be when you are in search of a quiet, peaceful yet romantic ambiance. I loved this place and the food

Accidently discovered this cute little place on a road trip in Goa and then kept going to it for a late night coffee on all the days I stayed in Dona Paula. The place has a very cosy vibe and is very artistically done. Loved the design of the bookshelf. They have a small collection of classics which can prove to be a good company with a good cup of coffee. They have good cheese cakes and crepes. The coffee was strong and good. The staff is extremely courteous.
This was long pending review for cafe which we randomly entered one afternoon and fell in love with ambience as well as food. Excellent and well thought interiors with semi round windows, book tree and comfort seating.
We ordered pizza vendue which had thin crisp base exactly the way I like, loaded with jalapeno, olives and capsicum and drizzled with olive oil and herbs. It was perfect on taste and would highly recommend
Post pizza, we went for hazelnut cold coffee which was refreshing and was severed in glass jar mug.
Overall nice place to chill. Only thing disappointing was though they had mouth watering desserts on display none were eggless

A picture perfect setting in the midst of the stately homes in Campal lies a serendipitous café – Black Vanilla next to a bookstore. It has the prettiest entrance with a cosy yet rustic ambiance, quaint ‘loft’ styled windows, niche seating, also the French quotes on the walls and an artsy decor enhances the overall experience of eating. The cabinets, as one enters, showcase the cuisines on offer - French and European. If one had to summarize this place in two words, it would be experimental and diverse.It makes the perfect setting for a date or to catch up with friends. Coming to their servings, some of their most recommended try-outs are burgers which has a choice of whole wheat or multigrain bagel bun, next is the prawn and calamari Caesar salad, mac and cheese. In beverages, you can quench your thirst with their range of iced teas infused with fruit flavours. Don’t miss their Instagram worthy cheesecake. We stayed in Panjim for 4 days and visited this place daily. Nice ambience and good coffee with helpful staff.
On our last day we had to visit ATM at night and the guys went extra mile to actually pick up my husband from the ATM point on their own considering he had sought directions for the same and it was raining while I was waiting at the cafe for him to return. That’s called going that extra mile and really appreciate. Whenever we go to Goa we will definitely go for coffee.

Having a sweeth tooth and a special liking for chocolate made me fall in love with this gooey chocolate cake topped with a gallop of vanilla icecream and a brownie shake definitely made me the happiest babyyyy.

I've been to Black Vanilla a few times.
Their blueberry cheesecake is a MUST have! It's without a doubt, the best I've ever had.
Another time, I came here for a light breakfast of croissant and coffee. The coffee was good but the croissant was tough to bite. It was impossible to cut it with a knife and fort. I'm not sure if it wasn't baked well or it was leftover from the previous day but I didn't enjoy it at all.
However, the decor here is cute and charming. It's a nice place to hang out with a cup of coffee.
Located very near to beach and has good lively environment. I ordered brownie and hot chocolate , taste was good but I thunk price is little high. Overall its fine to sit back and relax and see out side through window
I had been here a couple of years back and found it to be an expensive place with not-so-great food.
So I was pretty surprised when I ended up visiting this place again and I completely loved the food and also found the rates to be reasonable (on the higher side but comparable to most other cafes).

An amazing cafe located opposite Kala Academy. We loved their nutella banana crepes with blueberry ice tea. Yet a lovely ambience with Parisian feel and book lover's dream. Overall great but could improve on menu availability.

Black vanilla, a cafe with the most beautiful interior. Situated in panjim, opposite to kala academy. This place will never fail to impress you with its beautiful and cozy interior. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but the food is definitely worth it.
I had the chicken BBQ burger which was very delicious and filling. Alongside with cheese garlic bread which was also quite tasty. I also had their drink juiced up- which is like a fruit punch, it was amazing, thick and creamy. So good!
And for desserts i had the death by chocolate pastry, wont say it was that great but it was good, it was slightly dry it could have been more moist. They also serve delicious pizza’s. Overall the food was great. And the ambience makes your visit worth every bite there. Will definitely visit again to try out their amazing dishes.

A good Cafe to hangout at with your friends, Located just opposite Kala Academy, It is at the heart of Panjim city. Decided to try it after multiple recommendations from my friends.
🔺The Ambience is great, the warm lights, the posters, the design of the seats really make it appealing. The counter is well laid out and showcases a variety of desserts ranging from Pastries to Doughnuts, which makes you wanna spend even more.
🔺The Food although fairly priced could be better. I ordered a Double Cheddar Beef Burger, I personally felt that the patty is dry for my liking and lacked flavour. Even the dripping cheddar couldn't make up for it. The sauce although, made it slightly better. I would still go back for more in future.
🔺The Staff is really polite, the service was quick. I would suggest them to clear the plates either when the guest is still sitting or when he has left the restaurant. Clearing the plates right when you are trying to get up gives an impression that you want to get rid of them asap.
To sum it up Black Vanilla is a restaurant located in the heart of the city with good ambience & staff but a little work on the food department could make it a big hit.

A small cafe located in Campal. It's right opposite Kala Academy. Love the ambience, gives you a nice and warm feeling. A little on the pricey side but surely worth it. What caught my eye was the bookshelf which was lined with some great books. As for the food, we ordered Blackened Carrot and Beetroot Burger, BBQ Chicken Burger, Lemon Ice Tea, Watermelon Juice and Red Velvet Choco Delight.
The juice was good but the ice tea wasn't that great. We asked for less sugar but there was no sugar at all. The burgers came with a side of potato wafers and were absolutely amazing. Loved both the burgers. What actually surprised me was how delicious the vegetarian burger was. Definitely a great option for vegetarians. The red velvet was also good. Would definitely visit this place again to try out some more dishes from their menu.

I had been seeing this place for quite some time now but could not get around to go. At first thought, when you look from outside, you seem to be little unsure what the place has to offer. But believe me, it's a wonderful place. It's a cozy nook for peace (+books+ food ) lovers like me.
One of the evenings when I was alone and wanted to grab a bite, I thought of checking this place out. It is located on the DB Road opposite last gate of kala Academy near Crossword Book Shop.
This cafe gives a feel that it is just picked from somewhere in US and placed here. They offer burgers, sandwich, pizza, crepe, salads, coffee, milkshakes and other beverages. I ordered a Pulled chicken sandwich and peach apricot iced tea.
The cafe has two levels. The lower level has the counter and 2 single seater stools with tables while upstairs there are about 6 tables with chairs. When I went upstairs, I could just say woww... What caught my attention was a bookshelf designed like a tree and few of bestsellers peeking out at me.
The food took me by surprise. It was an open sandwich with a dome of Shredded chicken mixed with barbecue sauce and some lettuce. And it was to say the least, MIND BLOWING. It tasted wonderful and was filling. The iced tea went well with the sandwich. It came in a mason jar and was super refreshing.
Loved everything about this beautiful cafe. Waiting to visit again.

They have an amazing beetroot and carrot burger which blew my mind. It is by far one of the most incredible burgers that makes beetroot so awesome. The quantity was quite filling and man did I enjoy every moment of it. The coffees and shakes were equally filling. A good food experience and a must visit when in Goa.

Black Vanilla is a quaint pretty looking cafe right across from Kala Academy in Panjim. As you enter, you get a sweet whiff of bakery products. I ordered a tomato, basil and goat cheese sandwich on multi grain bread. It was an open sandwich which tasted great! Although the goat cheese isn’t too visible on the sandwich making you wonder if there’s enough of it, you can taste it well enough. I then ordered the only veg burger on the menu: Blackened carrot and beet root burger. It was excellent! And quite filling. I wish they had more options to choose from. A glass of fresh orange juice went well with my meal. There was one peculiarity though. The price of the juice (275/-) was much more than the burger (190/-)!! Also, out of the already few options in crepes, only one option was available. I just hope they extend their menu to include more (veg) options and have a more logical? pricing. Service was also good. Overall a recommended place to go for breakfast/brunch. I would rate it as 4.5!
The brownie was amazing. The Warm chocolate gooieness along with the cold melty ice cream was just the perfect combination. The cheesecake was perfect with its soft creamy consistency and just the right amount of tartness! 🤩

The majority of the people are drawn to the place because of it's quirky vibe.
When you enter, you're met with coffee shop charm and browsing through their menu, everything looks great.
They have a wide variety and range of options and you will be spoilt for choice. Your food will come and it tastes great! But as you eat your open sandwhich that you paid 250Rs for, you will realise that it's completely not worth the money.
We tried their pulled pork, pulled chicken sandwhich, pepperoni pizza, meat overload sandwhich, feta salad, spicy mexican sandwhich,cheese cake, DBC, mojitos and ice tea. The theme was common. The food tasted great but it's high price was not justified.
I think it would take another black vanilla across the road for them to rethink their business strategy.

It was my birthday when my husband n me planned to pick a pastry on our way to hotel and this cafe happened to be on our way coincidentally. Just went in and this was one we choose and by God it was the best..It was so chocolaty and creamy.. we both just loved it. Still miss it.. :( nothing close to this in my city...

Went on a quiet afternoon after spending hours on a scooter to relax and have a post lunch coffee and cake.
The Americano was decent, too weak for my taste. My partner had a cappuccino, and it wasn't the greatest either. I'm not saying they were bad, just that I've had better. The desserts however, were pretty darn good. We had a cheesecake and a slice of a chocolate cake, and they were delicious.
The place is quiet and calm. No loud music, and thankfully for us, no loud people. It's a good place to kick back for an hour or so to relax before heading out again.
Prices are the usual cafe prices, a little on the steep side.
The location is easy to get to, being located directly on the main road. Parking is right opposite the cafe as well.
All in all, a good place, well worth the 4/5 stars.

We ordered the chicken salami and black olives pizza (Rs. 400/-), and for drinks we ordered the cafe mocha (Rs. 100/-). The pizza had a nice thin crust which was properly cooked and crispy, the sauce was full of flavours. The pizza could serve around 2-3 people perfectly. The cafe mocha was made to perfection, not too light nor too strong. The place is nice and cosy, it's a good place to chill with friends. The price is affordable too.

I have been a mac n cheese person always and ever since i had come across this concept of mac n cheese on pizza i always wanted to try it so i hunted online for several places in goa and found this one to be the sole one who has mac and cheese pizza.... And it wasn't disappointing though some more cheese wouldn't have ruined anything.... but still whatever that was served was totally likable😍

We ordered a chocolate pastry. A big fat piece of super yummy chocolate pastry was given to us. Loved it. Rates are higher. But it's worth it to go visit once in a while because if nothing else, you get some nice Look-I'm-at-a-cool-place photos.
One of the best cafe's in Goa. They've got the finest salads and expressions. Loved Thier classic mocha with banana and nutella crepes. It was out of the world.

Ordered a tomato and feta open sandwich to start with along with a cream.of mushroom soup! Special mention to the service staff as it was placed and played very professionally.
A watermelon soda and a feta and watermelon salad followed by a veg burger! Every dish was well plated and loved the taste of every single item..it was fresh and yumm..
To end with we had New York cheesecake and a red velvet chocolate dessert.
New York cheesecake was a bit dense and dry but the components were intact wit the taste, the red velvet was a bit too sweet for my palate but it's a personal choice!
Will make sure to visit this place again next time I go! ;)

The ambiance is very classy. My overall experience was good. Crazy about the shakes over there😍😍 as well as the rainbow cake very yum yum.

In our hunt for a good burger we found our way to Black Vanilla, a really good looking cafe located in Panjim. The ambience was very chic and urban. We ordered for the Soy glazed pork burger, Cafe Americano, a Latte and a beef tartine.
The pork in the burger was tender but a little dry. The bun was fresh. Cafe Americano and latter were just perfect.
We had also ordered for a dessert which the waiters forgot about. They apologized for the same as I paid the bill.
What a sumptuous, satisfying brunch experience. I ordered one portion each of pancake with fresh fruits and maple syrup, stuffed jacket potatoes with Goan sausages, bacon delight, And the salmon sandwich in panini with sun dried tamatoes . This was a greedy over order for 2. This order would suffice for 4.
I loved every bite of the authentic, home cooked style of food.

Bang on the main road and yet so easy to miss. Parking can be an issue but you should find space across the road. Good sandwiches and pizza. Good coffee. Although They are a little tight on space. Staff is effecient and not intrusive. Overall a great place for conversations

A small and quiet place. Very nicely done interiors and cozy lighting. Needless to say amazing for dates :D. A lot of couples here! There's a high chance you'll not find a place to sit because of the limited seating here. As far as the food goes, it's pretty good! The burgers were filling :). Good choice of beverages (non alcoholic) too. All in all you'll find the rates are overpriced. But with the ambience in here, and the cozy interiors, you'll definitely have a good time and won't mind anyway.

The coffee here was really good, they serve Lavazza with a cookie.

Interiors are great, it's very artistic in here. One could sit and work as well from here. The only problem is if 2-3 tables are occupied it's gets a bit too loud.
Location
It's right opposite Kala academy. Could be quite tricky to find parking though.

Located on the main arterial road of Panaji you can miss this’s place. It’s near Kala Academy with parking just across the road.
The cafe is a quick brunch and coffee destination and a very good one to.
So if you are in panjim and wanna have some nice tasty tidbits and coffee and this is the place.
Sandwiches are just okay. They need to change their menu a bit n make more interesting perhaps. Cold coffee was good though.
Menu is limited but one can still choose from . The upper sit out is interesting with novel interior.
Road below looks beautiful from the arched window. One can spend time with books too.
Also the prices were on the higher side. Doubt I'll be returning when there is Cremeux and Pastry Cottage close enough.
Pizza, desserts, mocktails, cupcakes, sandwiches, gourmet coffee, books, guitar, comfy seating, cozy atmosphere, warm service ! Wow ! So many things under one roof. Black vanilla absolutely lives upto the word cafe and cafe culture. All the food and drink items are tasty, service is fast and nice. There is something magical about this place which will drag you inside every time you pass on the road next to it. That rustic wooden name board has some dark, black secrets which hypnotists their customers and makes them come back again and again! Cheers for the best cafe in panjim !
The best coffee place i've been to in Goa. Tasty (simple) food, good pie (try blueberry cheesecake) but most of all great atmosphere. Perfect for a date or if you want an afternoon reading on the terrace with pie and coffee. Recommend!! Also breakfast is perfect if you're not into Indian breakfasts.
Great decor and perfect ambience for a good cup of cappuccino and their special NY cheese cake. Staff is cool, helpful in making the right choices, take a seat by the window on the first floor, and enjoy the beautiful sea view from within really smart and colourful interiors.

To be honest I liked their older arrangement. Which was like am ordinary Cafe. Upper floor was all sitting arrangement and down it was all cooking place etc. Now it's more like shop rather than eating place. Still it's nice and decent. Service is good and coffee here is awesome as always.
There are some minor changes in menu I guess.
We all change with time, they also did. Now we just don't know how convenient that change is!
I will surely visit again and edit my review.
But I highly recommend you to visit this place. Best place to spend time alone, doing your work, sipping coffee.

A very cute and a pretty cafe to be. There is a tree shaped bookshelf with a good collection of books which one can read from. The coffee and the food is good and economical.
A cozy and fancy cafe located in the rush life of panjim city. The ambience gives you a soothing feel which makes spending evenings at this cafe an ultimate option to relax. They have a variety of food options. One of the most recommended beverages would be cafe mocha. Though it's pricey, you'd surely love you at least vist the place once. Their thin crust pizzas are also a great option to choose. While snacking could be fulfilled by their muffins and croissants.
OMG this place is so cool! I love the ambience, and the food is spectacular. The service is too good while the stewards and manager really look after the customers well.
I had two types of burger yesterday and it was mouth watering. It's better than McD and KFC, totally worth the amount I paid. And it's not even that expensive. Quite reasonable for that kind of filling delicious burger. The ambience had lamps and books and was French themed. It looked so oldish... something which I like. It had that feeling of a Tavern. Just too amazing.
Everyone should visit this place!!!!
Wow. It was great. The music, gooey cake the deco(Christmas), service. One of the best in town. But while entering make sure have enough in ur wallet. Food is delicious and the ambience is perfect. Must try it.
A lovely French Cafe facing the banks of a magnificent river, with its queer architecture, is definitely a place to chill out on afternoons with a book and Caesar Salad along with Caffe Americano (Love the continental food here).
Ordered two desserts and coffee. at my request, they made cappuccino on coconut milk, although it is not on the menu. Pictured on Crepes dessert, cooked perfectly.
Liked the big wooden tables, good for larger companies. the staff is polite.
