They captured it , in one paper cup, they captured the essence of what „necessary caffeine „ is all about ❤️
This place is a hostel which is situated in the heart of Panjim - Fontaihnas ♥️ A cozy hostel it also provides various food and beverage options. A perfect place to chill with some friends or alone. Their coffee and juices are good! Do try their brownies as well
A peaceful place to do whatever you want to at this nice and cozy place the coffee, the sandwiches and the apple pie are lit you gotta try them if you are near Vagator beach.
Lovely place to chill with friends in the beautiful fontainhas area. Went there with my friend for coffee. We ordered capuccino. I liked it. One thing I love the most about this place is the fancy book chandelier. It's beautiful.
Taste: 4/5
Service:3/5
Ambience: 5/5
Bombay Coffee Roasters is a laid back cafe where one can relax or get some work done. I usually like coming to this place on Sundays to work (a change of scenery for me ). Food is okay. Number of options and variety are lacking but the taste is decent. Service is really good and you encounter staff who is friendly and accomodating. You can sit at the cafe for hours without any disturbances. The ambience is one of my favourite things about this cafe. It is warm, comforting and laid back. The perfect atmosphere catering to various types of people.
I totally recommend this place, if someone wants to hang out or go for a casual date. :)
One of the nice place to enjoy reading book over a cup of coffee and cosy ambience. Cuppacino is nice . So is ther Apple crumble and tomato cheese sandwich. Located in the Fountainhas area adds good vibes and is nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of Panji

“The Beach is Boring”, proclaims the lone print on the walls of the Bombay Coffee Roasters, Goa. A quiet urban cafe tucked away in a colourful corner, somewhere along the winding lanes of Fontainhas in Panaji (Panjim), Goa’s capital city. & why would you need a boring beach when you have coffee and wifi?!!!
A unique eatery....had all the makings of a typical 'chilled out, laid back' Goan atmosphere. Had a few rooms to stay in as well. Making the atmosphere all the more unique. The ambience gave out good vibes. The cold coffee was great, and drinking it while playing Scrabble with your friends upstairs, was all the more satisfying. Just outside the place, there's a patch of land where people were playing football, adding to the already excellent vibe.
A must try for whoever wants a non-beach Goan vibe.
This is nice place to hangout with friends for a coffee. They serve amazing coffee and pastries. It's situated in the Fontanhais panajim. The ambience is cozy and its a nice place to come even when u are alone and read some novel with a sip of coffee.

The ambiance of this wonderful place is amazing, the juices are very nice also the Goan breakfast they serve which contains a typical Goan bhaji paav is the best you can get in the city. the rates are normal (affordable) . free WiFi and the cozy jumbo couch compliment each other perfectly.. if you are in Panjim it's a must visit place. STRONGLY RECOMMEND
If you are looking for a typical Punjabi food in Goa, then this is the place to be in. We ordered tawa chicken, chicken tikka masala, roti, mixed veg, dal fry and Channa masala. Chicken tikka masala, dal fry and Channa masala is awesome. All the food ordered were good. Gulab jamun is also good here. The quantity is less and the service is too slow. Overall it was a nice experience
The place has a limited seating arrangement but very comfortable seats. A nice place to go alone for a cup of coffee or hang out with friends. The ambience is good. Service is prompt. I tried the hot chocolate which came as a cup of milk and chocolate stick. It was good although you might end up eating the chocolate which is tastier😋 also tried the mozzarella cheese sandwich. It was quite good.
Lovely ambience. Toothsome food stuff.
Great place to hang out with friends.
Also there's this amazing graffiti outside.
Do visit this place.
Amazing place to visit , very pleasant and a perfect place for readers.Service is good. Ambience is innovative . Would love to visit again and again ♥️
Part of a tourist hostel, this cafe is cozy and a perfect place to spend a Sunday with friends. They have a variety of coffees and teas. The hot chocolate is pretty great. The mozzarella sandwich, a must try along with the lemon cake. They also have a collection of board games and books, perfect for spending the day curled up on one of the couches there.
A quaint and cozy cafe set in Fontaines, Mala in Panjim . This place is part of a homestay and apt for on the go meals and drink options.
The options of teas and the desserts are very tempting, some exciting flavours for tea lovers and I being a coffee person opted for a Mocha which was soothing... it's your goto place for a quick bite with friends and if you don't mind making some new friends you could try staying in their dorm like accommodation as well, a favourite among the foreign tourists with regular shuttle to popular beaches etc
Small little place to enjoy your own company. This place is renamed to Bombay Roaster Café.
The café has eye catching colors on the outer side, like most of the buildings in Fontainhas. However, the decor inside is very simple. There's place to sit on the ground floor as well as on top.
You can place your order and go enjoy the ambiance of the top floor. They have the most comfortable seats around! There's a small collection of books and boards game. Also, a big wooden table for large groups.
In spite of having such a nice ambiance, the food here lack the choices. The food here is on the heathy side and most people looking for the "cafe food" won't like the menu. Also, most of the items are finished if you go in the evening.
Service is good, they bring food to the table. It's a good place to sit and read a book or use the internet on the laptop.
Overall a good place to go alone and enjoy the peace!
I must admit that it took us a few trips around the same lane to find this place since it was showing on Google Maps but wasn't visible at eye sight or maybe it was time for me get my eyes checked.
A nice cozy coffee place tucked in the corner of a street in Panjim, this coffee place is an extension of the travelers dorms that two partners run. We were lucky to bump in to one of the partners who was kind enough to share their story and let us know about the fact that they even have easy on pocket dorm rooms for travellers who just need a bed to sleep and stay outdoors all day.
Let's move on to the cafe. This is a two floor cafe (and it doesn't look like one from the outside) where in you have a seating option on the ground floor right next to the counter and then upstairs which has some amazing comfortable couches with a business centre type table where in you can sit with your laptop and get your work done. The place does have WiFi access so traveler's, good news for you! We ordered the usual coffee and a brownie. I wasn't too happy with the brownie since it was a bit hard and crumbled as soon as I drove that fork through it but maybe I was expecting a soft brownie, not sure. The place has a beautiful ambience and I really enjoyed the relaxed feeling out there.
Even your GPS might get confused to locate this place. If you love reading, spending some quite time amidst the historical town of Panjim- Fontaínhas, The Urban Cafe is the place.
Food is good. But it's ambience is worth visiting this cafe for.
P.S: Parking is an issue. Park your vehicles away and experience the Indo- Portuguese heritage while you walk!
Pretty little cafes and libraries are so my thing. Even though I prefer green tea over coffee and writing over reading, a chill evening at a cafe or a library sure makes my day. That was until I visited Urban Cafe by The Hostel Crowd. It's somewhere close to an artistically done library which serves some great food. I don't know how to describe it - you need to be there to understand what I'm trying to say.Imagine this - you're walking past colonial bungalows because you love them! Yes, Fontainhas in Goa. If you've walked the streets of White Town in Pondicherry you know what I mean too. Fontainhas is to Goa what White Town is to Pondicherry, with a little more color and lesser parking space. So on one such exploration, I landed at Urban Cafe. I didn't land there by chance though. I kept hearing about this Cafe from friends and backpackers (yes, I have a lot of backpacker and traveller friends) who I meet in Goa. It sure was a shame to not have visited a place everyone is raving about.
Easy to miss, tucked in a corner next to Anita Tea House. Parking is an issue, as always is with Fontainhas. But this cafe is a breath of fresh air once you step in. The decor is simple, with chalkboard signs and a giant poster in an otherwise minimalistic 'lobby' area with tables.
Fantastic selection of teas and healthy beverages here. They offer wellness shots as well. The snacks selection is minimal and by the end of the day, most of it is over but I love their coconut oil pudding, hot chocolate and granola bar. It is about healthy, organic eating so the granola bar is bigger and chewier than usual with barely any sugar but loaded with nuts and healthy grain. My friends who preferred junk food over health didn't like these snacks and stuck to sandwiches. Once you place the order you head upstairs, to a beautiful little space done in dark accents with warm lighting, comfortable sofas and a long wooden communal table with windows all around, Scrabble on your table and a mini library. The communal table has organic sugar for your teas (brown, raw, demerara. Not so sure but some such combination). They bring you your order upstairs, tis a cozy little space where you can enjoy an evening meal at your own pace (they have very cute tea infusers).
This is a B&B, the area on top has bedrooms with bunk beds on either side. You'll find few Indians at this joint, a lot of foreign travellers looking to stay a night or two.
A wow and beautiful experience at urban cafe. Love the the atmosphere which was quite and classy. Coffee and snacks and brownies and biscuits are just wow not only because of the freshness and quality but because of the urban cafe interior beauty. 😍
Loved the place. The aroma of the coffee and the sweet treats is insatiable. The staff is very helpful. I would 100% recommend that if you're in Panjim and have time to spare, do visit.
I needed the air-conditioning in here after the blazing May heat outside. Nice atmosphere, if a bit overpriced (as compared to the area's average local prices).
Well decore and design. Meets the east with west. Plush and rich furniture and design gives feeling of good old days. Old Portuguese lane, seving Portuguese coffe style , bakery and baked feeds. Coffee is brewed at amazing prices. One visit when in fontainhas is must.
Came to know about this place very late, found only after spending 10 years in Goa, I really like the atmosphere, excellent cup of coffee, and nice interior. This is a good place to study or chill with friends and family. The drinks and foods were all tasty and worthwhile. If you’re up for a fresh coffee with beautiful architecture then this is a must to visit❤️❤️❤️❤️,
Bombay Coffee Roasters can be a nice spot to cool off with a cup of coffee and some cake, once you’re tired of walking around in the Fontainhas Latin Quarters. We had the cappuccino and a Pineapple Juice. Both were pretty standard. The place has nice interiors and a laid back vibe which can be good for relaxing or maybe even getting some work done. Would recommend.
An excellent place to chill and cool down after a walk around Fontainhas. The cafe has a bery calm vibe and ideal for working and relaxing. You can rent tables as co-working spaces.
Must Try:
- Iced latte
- Iced Tea
- Chili chai
Very reasonably priced.
Amazing cafe to chill on a hot sunny afternoon. Food options are limited. But, a great place to get your work done and keep the kids busy.
This place is "more of a hostel and less of a cafe" to quote the manager here. The coffee is very mediocre but the general ambience and the vibe is better than most of the places. The staff is helpful and accommodating. But there is nothing standoutish about this place. Like, it's not a must visit when in Panjim as some travel blogs will tell you.
Amazing place to just sit with a book and chill in the calmest quoter of the city.
Great ambiance, the top floor had a low-key ambiance with books and board games available to play.
About food, they have limited things to choose from. Chocolate mousse was awesome. Coffee not that great.
Overall this place is nice to visit and spend time alone with a book, or to sit with a laptop and work.
The Bombay Roosters Coffee is a hidden gem for coffee enthusiasts on a budget. This cozy cafe exudes a relaxed and welcoming vibe, making it the perfect spot to unwind or catch up with friends.
Their coffee selection is impressive, with a variety of blends and brew methods available. The baristas take pride in their craft, carefully crafting each cup with precision and expertise. The aroma that fills the air is intoxicating, and the taste lives up to the expectations.
While the focus is on coffee, they also offer a decent selection of pastries and snacks to accompany your drink. The freshly baked croissants and muffins are particularly delightful, and they won't break the bank.
The cafe's ambiance is simple yet charming, with comfortable seating and soft background music. It's a great place to get some work done or simply enjoy a peaceful moment with a book.
What truly sets The Bombay Roosters Coffee apart is its affordability. Despite the budget-friendly prices, the quality of the coffee and the overall experience is commendable.
Although I'm giving it four stars, it's only because there are a few areas where they could improve, such as the limited food menu and occasional crowdedness during peak hours. Nevertheless, for coffee lovers on a budget, this cafe is a true haven of flavor and value.
Coffee Roasters is a great cafe to have a good cup of coffee and work/study ...
They have a limited but sufficient serve for food, but a good range for coffee.
There's good music playing in the background.
It's a completely air conditioned place, they have an area for smoking outside.
Great ambience and service!
Definitely recommend this Cafe.
Good nice litte cafe in middle of nowhere! Nice interiors. Tried their cold coffee, it was just amazing.
They offer plug n play cafe packages. 200/-, 300/- and a monthly one too.
Excellent cold brew, lovely spacious airy sunlit place with an eclectic book collection and board games upstairs. Ryan, the owner is a really nice guy, allowed to borrow a couple of books and refused to take a deposit for them.
The Ambience, The Aroma and Taste of Freshly Brewed Coffee. Everything this Place has Is just Perfect. Enjoying a Good Read while Sipping through. Its Just Just Perfect 😊
Love the vibes of the place. Decent food and service.
Allows to use this space for business and work.
Quite a few board games are there.
Love the place.
Best coffee in Goa and very affordable rates. Their iced caramel macchiato is so good that we went back to this cafe the next day for more!
Really enjoyed the banana cake 👍
It's artsy and has a lovely ambiance. Clean, nice interior, good coffee, and WiFi. WiFi doesn't work as smooth as I would like it to work, but we saw many people hanging in there and work.
Toilet's appear to function as showers as well.
Lovely place, nice environment to sit and chill with a good cup of coffee and tasty cake. Staff need a refund from the charm school they attended though!😳 A smile costs nothing!😂
