This place has always been a personal favorite since childhood. The ambience and the view is soo good, but it is not maintained well. Management needs to work on it.
The food on the other hand is quite good. The harabhara Kebab were very good.
Chicken lollipop could have been better. Had too much batter.
The fried rice was decent.
The tandoor fish here is yum!
Overall service was very good too.
A restaurant with the view of the sea and all the casino boats, this place is definitely a must visit if you are in Goa and in Panaji. The food is well prepared, with good portions.
I've visited this place number of time and never been disappointed. Tried their fish and chips, prawns papad, baked crabs, fish curry rice, prawns xacuti. Definitely recommend this place. :)
Amazing ambience with a wonderful view of the river Mandovi... the food was sumptuous with prices which do not burn a hole in your pocket... the staff very polite and quick... on my list of wanna visit again

I went to this place on a quiet afternoon, my hotel was just in front of it.
The riverside place is so perfect, it offers you a nice company for a quiet meal.
I ordered prawns curry and rice. Freshly steamed rice, aromatic and perfectly spiced prawns curry, arrived with complimentary kismoor coconut fry ( a konkani dish made from dried small prawns). A note for people who cannot tolerate smelly fish: Kismoor has a very strong smell of dried prawns and coconut. If you are not going to eat it, tell them in advance.
For dessert, I ordered bebinca. It is a goan specialty- 7 layered sweet made of eggs, coconut and cinnamon. It was delicious. I also got a piece packed to eat it later with coffee.
The serving was nice and prompt. The place is clean, looks pretty especially in the evenings.
I took my family there again for dinner one day.
Recommended for people who like riverside views and non-AC restaurants.

A very nice place to hang out....Bang on the riverfront, there is a nice view and it is a perfect location to down a few drinks, especially in the winter. The food is decent...rawa fry fish dishes are awesome. The service is good and they have some live music as well....Value for money in Goa
Whenever we feel like watching the Mandovi and enjoying a lovely evening when in the capital, we head to Quarterdeck. The service is efficient and the staff provide suggestions about the taste, portions and clarify any doubts we have.
We usually order fish fingers and items such as fish rawa fry which are tasty and filling. We have been regulars here for four years now and we still aren't tired.
Watching the floating casinos and the cruise ships, the evening glides smooth. Head there if you like a pleasant ambience and reasonably priced food.

What if you or on a vacation and you come across a restaurant you would want to be in your list when you travel. I had an amazing experience of this place.
First of all the location - just located opposite the Mandovi Hotel, this restaurant has some eye catching views of the casinos and the sea.
So reached here at 9 and the view was splendid, as I am a vegetarian someone suggested the place and asked me to try the mughal food.
Food ordered :-
1) Stuffed Potato - served in the form of a round shape potato filled with hara bhara kababs filling, stuffed potatoes were really nice as a mix of potato and hbkabab filling gave it a good flavour.
2) Bhindi Fry - it was rare to be found as the starter and such good flavours to bhindi made this dish as one of the finest orders of the day. Didn't knew bhindi could taste so good if prepared this way. It was soft and wet with a blend of gravy and masalas.
3) Rani Palak - one of the two vegetables ordered, i really found this dish to be something innovative and different. So it was prepared with a mix of a two gravies, palak and tomato respectively with carrot, beans and paneer as the vegetables.
4) Mix vegetable - don't remember the exact name and vegetables in it, but it was prepared in the white gravy and tasted a bit sweet. Though it was really nice to have it on the Table, but something lacked if I compare it to Rani palak.
5) Assorted platter - A mix of three assorted breads, Tandoori roti, mughalai naan and butter naam. All rotis and naan were prepared nicely, if were to say rotis were soft ans crisp, like the way I would want.
6) Fresh lime - It was good. Similar to the ones I have had before.
Ambience - Simple, quiet, clean and why wouldn't you want to be there when you have your favourite casino and sea just next to it.
Service - It's for all of the staff members, they performed their best I would say. Took care of all our needs. Suggested us what we could order and good part, when we thought one vegetable would be sufficient to order. The staff gave us two different vegetables as mentioned above with half portion each and only charges for one of it. Really appreciate your dedication towards your customers. Good going.
I was very much delighted by their service and Food and suggest all friends and Foodies, if in goa- go ahead trying this restaurant.
Price - worth paying for and the food was really nice, ordered this much for two and bill came out to be only 1100rs something.

We went to this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. Had no real expectations, but were pleasantly surprised with the place! The river view is great, the restaurant is spacious, tables are spread out. We ordered Aloo Chana Chat, Tawa Chicken, and a Paneer Tikka sizzler. The portions were excellent, and so was the taste. The food was delicious overall. Service was decent overall, but we were seated a bit further from the main area and kitchen, and getting the attention of the waiters was a bit difficult at times. But no complaints overall. The rates are decent for the portions they serve. Highly impressed with the place, would surely recommend it to people who want a chilled out lunch/dinner experience with a view to die for.
Located just beside the Ferry Point, Quarterdeck is a nice place to hang out. You can have a great view of the river from here. Food is good as well as the drinks. One can view the sunset from here while eating.
Nice place, superb service and very spacious. It's not so heavy on the pocket as well. Spring rolls are amazing here. Also they have live music and a projector for cricket matches, if you're looking for a place in Panaji to hangout during a match, this is it!

While we were on a vacation, one of my Goan mate advised me to visit the resto for the authentic goan cuisine. The place is located at the banks of River Mandovi with vivid view of riverfront. A very nice and serene kinda place. You can just sit for hours. The service is however irritating slow. Food is very good with true taste of konkan. We tried most of the sea-food. Overall experience was very good.
We have been going to this restaurant ever since we were kids and this place is pure nostalgia for me. The food here is yummy but not too expensive and the view to die for.. If you visit this restaurant do try their papad stuffed prawns, their stuffed crabs and the kismur (dried prawns preparation). However they do need to spruce up the place a little. My brother loves the bebinca with strawberry ice cream and it is a must try.. Overall one of my favourites in goa and will always visit this restaurant when I am in goa

Went here with a bunch of friends, must say it has a very good ambience along with the casino views in the background. We ordered Fish platter, balchao and kingfish curry rice. The quality and taste was excellent. The service is very prompt and helpful. Overall a very decent place to have a yummy and fulfilling experience.
An open air restaurant with a laid back ambience. Definitely try the local cuisine over some of the other alternatives. Ordered fish curry and rice along with kismur which tasted wonderful. However, the daal makhni and roti along with it were sub par. The service was a little slow and the menu a bit pricey for certain items. Overall a thumbs up.
We had grill fish here.. Was really good. Tried rice with the goan style fish too.. For those who love coconut flavored curry..it is yum!! The sitting area is next to river mandavi.. U can easily see it. Qty of one plate was really decent for two ppl. A bit slow service. Good return for investment..overall.
A riverside restaurant with an idyllic and relaxing view of the Mandovi river. The ambience is decent, food is good but what really makes the deal is the awesome view. Veg food is value for money, non veg food is overpriced in comparison.
Wow! what a location. This is one place which needs to capitalize on its location which is definitely one of the best in panjim. It's actually kind of a open deck where you have a full view of the mandovi river.
Talking about the food, the starters are nice specially the chilly cheese toast and kebabs. Main course is not that impressive. Service needs to improve a lot. 3.5 just because of the location.

Quarterdeck is a beautifully located restaurant in the heart of the town in Panaji area . The sitting is semi open types and very airy. The location is just next to River Mandovi and one can see the boats and small ships passing by while enjoying some of the best seafood that Goa has to offer. Nice and warm service, there is even live music couple of times that i have visited. A highly recommend place in the centre of town.
Well this has to be one of my favourites when it comes down to hogging goan food in goa.
Location is fantastic, its centrally located on the banks of mighty Mandovi river. True to its name its got a huge open air deck which will accomodate around 100 odd foodies like me.

Quarterdeck salad is a killer one, its the best salad i have had ever. Go for it.

It has to be riviera special if you love sea food, or else you can choose anyone from the menu.

Butter garlic prawns are supreme. Nicely cooked prawns sauted in butter and garlic.

Prawns curry rice is what i usually prefer out there.

Best choice if you have an inkling for goan food at a decent restaurant with a view of the river. Quarterdeck is located on the bank of the river Mandovi owing to which the restaurant has great ambiance. If you're lucky, there's often a cool breeze that adds to the experience. On the other hand, this place gets quite messy in the rains. The pulao and cafreal are good, but personally I'm a big fan of the kingfish curry and kismoor and would strongly recommend it!

I lived in Panjim for 2 years when I was just a girl and this place was a favorite of my parents. I went back recently with my husband and kids in tow, the place was a little more rundown than I remember but the food was s tasty as I remembered!
The view of the river is lovely...it's a no frills place to go and hang out casually and shoot the breeze!
This place is an amazing destination for parties, and for its outstanding good quality food which puts a bar on the food standards around the city. One of the places I would love host the party for it's riverside destination and of course, food. Prices are also very reasonable for the quantity and the quality that you receive.
The Russian salad & the pasta is what I truly loved here. The other continental dishes and their specials are too definitely worth a shot.
Make sure you visit this place if you have come to Panjim, especially for a peaceful, romantic dinner.

he location is just superb... open, right next to the river and casions add glamour.... i mean, you immediately realize you are in goa....one of the aspects of being in goa are casinos right.... plus it is very close to the ferry point and markets.... so you can club the visit to the restaurant with shopping, ferry ride etc without trvelling much of a distance.... food was good, rather very good.... they have live music playing on some days.... staff is very courteous, helpful and not overbearing... they will let you have your own time without being too pushy to place an order etc.... plus they have a cab service from their restaurant just in case you dont want to drive to your hotel... of course they charge, but then who is complaining.... one of the best aspects of the restaurant is the open space it gives.... i mean i went with my family and 2 other families and we had 5 kinds starting from 2 years to 8 years..... the hotel has space for the kids to play, there is a small park with slides, swings etc..and all in good condition... this way the kids were having a ball of a time, while we were seated near by and enjoying our drinks, snacks and food... on the food part.... some very good varieties, good taste and quantity.... we tried many Goa specialties and all were excellent... sorry no reviews for the veg people as our entire group was pure non vegetarian.... expensive, no ways.... value for money and much more..... once again i say, please do visit the restaurant once in goa specially if you have small kids ... they will love playing and you can enjoy your drinks and food....
Located right in the heart of the city along the Mandovi river is quarterdeck. Beside this nice open air restaurant is their massive open air event venue. The food is very good, xacuti, fish, kebabs everything. Seating is very casual and comfortable and you can spend the evening looking at the ferry boat ferrying panjim to betim and the bright lit casinos. A well stocked bar and nice live music on most days. They telecast special sporting events and also busy in the rains. Family restaurant, heart of panjim highly recomended

So went on a road trip to Goa on the Ganesh Chaturthi long weekend back in August. Had a couple of very memorable meals at Florentine's (Saligao) and Quarterdeck (Panjim waterfront).
Quarterdeck was a much more touristy place along the Panjim waterfront, the kind of place infested by tourists and the hence prone to be avoided by the hipster traveller in me. But we reluctantly settled on it after we could not locate the much vaunted Viva Panjim, and discovered that similarly feted Mum's Kitchen and Ritz Classic were shut on the Saturday we went there.
Nonetheless the whole pomfret rechado was lipsmacking with the rechado masala thoroughly seeped in the fresh pomfret. It cost 800 bucks, expensive by Goan standards, but cheaper than a similar sized pomfret in say Gajalee or Mahesh Lunch Home. The piquant kingfish balchao was fabulous too. The fish was tart to the point of almost being pickled. Both the pomfret and the kingfish were from the morning's fresh catch, so full marks to that.
To top it off we ate multiple helpings of the superb bebinca, which is such a wonderfully rich, complex and layered dessert.
Still regret not getting a chance to dine at Mum's Kitchen, but Quarterdeck turned out to be a very fine alternative.
Quarterdeck is situated at Mandovi Riviera, near the Morjim Beach.
It's a regular, open-air family restaurant with a good view of the riviera.
Went here one night for dinner. The ambiance is pleasant as it's open-air, with lights and lamps which give it a cozy feel for a quite dinner.
I'd ordered the Squid Curry and Rice with Blue Lagoon for drinks.
The Blue Lagoon was very average, tasted mostly like sprite.
The Squid Curry was good, however, they could've done something better with such a versatile dish.
Overall, a decent place with a good view. Would I go back? Probably.
Quarter deck is an ideal place to have a Goan dinner.. it's located just nearby the backwaters and you can enjoy your romantic dinner facing the serene backwaters and the cruise boats.. great ambience.. ordered Rivera special soup and salads. it was yum .. both where of sufficient quantity that it was quite enough for two adults.. then we had the Goan fish curry rice which was just fine .but it came with a side dish made of dry prawns.. that was really really tasty.. a typical goan experience.. staffs are so warm and welcoming but the service is a bit slow but that would never be a problem since its gives us more time to enjoy that night near the backwaters.. worth every single penny spent..

The ambiance and scenery whilst dining is a unique pleasure, watching the Cruise Ships passing by. The food drinks and service are of good standard and VFM.
