I happened to visit Clube Nacional based on a friend’s recommendation. She said Clube Nacional is nicely done up and serves authentic Goan food. I dropped in on a Friday night. Clube Nacional is easy to locate As it is in the heart of the capital city. It’s more like a Portuguese house and has a lovely ambience. From the window you get the view of the Mandovi river. The place serves finger foods as well as main course. We had several Goan dishes and mind you, we licked our fingers. Overall it was a fun filled evening with friends comprising of good food, good vibes and good company. Cheers
A very easy 5/5 for this legendary, heritage spot. Clube Nacional is a blend of culture and food and so much older than me. Located in the heart of Panjim city this place is a landmark. The restaurant now with a makeover will still take you back in time. Food hitting the spot with authentic home style Goan cuisine and the prices absolute VFM. If you want to experience Goa have to visit.
The revamped clube nacional is a place you must visit if you want the most amazing Goan cuisine. I preferred the run down looking earlier version, with an unmatchable authentic touch, but I guess that wasn't good for business. A hidden gem from the tourists for now, so you'll find yourself surrounded by elderly locals who have made it their weekend watering hole. The food quality has been mantained as it was earlier, great Goan home cooked meats. Coming here and not trying the sausage bread would be your greatest regret, they do it like no one ever has. Sausage bread and the roast beef are unmatchable.
Food: 5/5
Service: 4/5
Ambience: 4/5
Great place good perfect ambience , really enjoy going here this place never dispoint me food bound to please the most demanding of tastebuds
Good place to enjoy the company of your friends with a lively atmosphere. Popular with the Portuguese speaking community of Goa...Sausage bread highly recommended...
A tavern in the heart of Panjim that takes you back in time, Clube Nacional is a place that transports you back in time, a true gem of sussegad Goa.
Their food is really good, pick any of their bread snacks and the fillings are well made. I think they have one of the best prawn rissois I've tasted in Goa, and their beef croquettes. I unfortunately ate a meal before visiting here and had a few drinks here apart from small bites so I'm looking forward to visiting again and doing justice to the food.
Good local restaurant with great Goan traditional vibe to enjoy. Fortunately experience watching Portugal World Cup match here and the entire energy of the place on another level. Full of local families dancing drinking and enjoying the evening it’s a time to experience here. 4 stars ⭐️ only because of service and attitude we received as a outsiders (not local Goan)
If you're a person who likes tasty food but in small quantities, well this is the right place for you! The ambience Is AMAZING!!
They have a foosball table too! The price to quantity ratio isn't that great. the booze Is pretty expensive.
The best choris pao I’ve had in Goa. The bread is fresh and delicious on its own. Lovely place with fantastic food.
The best place to get authentic Goan food. The ambience gives a real feeling of Goan culture. I had come with my family n everyone had a great time. The service is awesome n they make u feel at home. You need to order the Goan starters n specially the garlic bread.
The best place in town for beef croquettes, creamy prawn rissóis and yummy choris pao (Goan pork sausage bread). Actually all of their Goan dishes are amazing. Paired with great ambience and fantastic service, the restaurant area is well spaced out and airy. They even have karaoke/ live music in certain days.
The best Choriz Pav in Goa hands down. The bread is crisp to the best and that sausage stufffing is heaven!
The Goan in me is thrilled!
It's one of those places you don't want the world to discover. Every time I have been to Clube Nacional, I've only seen local people, having a great time amongst themselves. The tourists have not yet found the place and maybe that's why it is still the way it is. Great food, cheap booze and a club atmosphere difficult to match in Panjim. If you find yourself here definitely have the sausage bread and the beef roast. And try and visit on a Wednesday - it's Karaoke night.
Everything is so nice about this place.but we have one request to please keep the volume of the music a little low as families and friends meet here for food as well as to talk
We went on Saturday the 7th music was good but too loud we could not hear a word of what the other person was saying and had to wait jfor the small breaks in between
Such an amazing place, captures the essence of Goa, it's like going back in time...The food was amazing and very reasonable. Felt like being in a cozy tavern. Pure Goan vibe ❤️ The sausage pao and beef cutlets are a must try!
Old school bar now renovated, the food is okay, it was much better before the renovation. But the vibe is still old-school Goan. Good place to head for some drinks and snacks. Highly recommended
Authentic Goan cuisine restaurant. A place to go with family and friends. Must try the reçois, croquettes, sausage pualo.
Wonderful place to spend with friends. The food is awesome. The service is great.
Awesome music and karaoke. Good goan food, lived the tongue, beef and porky.
Beautiful Place for Family and friends the food was Amazingly delicious
Pure goan non veg, They also have Veg n Chinese.
All of the meat dishes we ordered were very well prepared and perfectly cooked - choriz pav, chicken pav, beef tongue roast, and sausage pulao. Beautiful ambience and friendly service.
P.S. if it's later in the night and if you ask nicely, they will even let you play the piano, although it is partially out of tune now!
I regularly go to this place & it is very nice with nice music and yet some times live music.. The food is tasty but quantity is less but the prices for liquor is rock bottom.. You enjoy food, liquor and music this is the place to visit 👍
