A lovely little place hidden amonsgt the silent residential lanes of Miramar. Salt Cafe is a pleasant walking distance from the Miramar beach. The place might be a bit small, with not much fancy show business, but its interiorized with love and affection, and you can feel the friendly-ness in the owner/maneger's nature when you interact with him.
I was on a mission of trying as many new places as I can in the Miramar locality, and that's how I landed up here. The menu is pretty interesting, with good choices of sandwiches, burgers and even oriental preparations. Here's what I tried,
CHICKEN GHEE ROAST SLIDERS - This is one of my favourite burgers, and I relished on them while I was doing my masters in Pune. These little mini burgers made me nostalgic. Juicy chicken chunks roasted in ghee served with some onions, lettuce and cheese over soft, fluffy buns. Just delicious. They also give you a portion of fries and a dip to go with. Loved it!
CHICKEN & CHEESE BURGER - Another fat and juicy burger, this time with a slice of cheese, chicken patty, fried egg and some veggies. I like my burger to be soft as well as juicy, and ofcourse, MESSY! It was all of it. Just the way I, or anyone else would love it to be. Another must try!
LEMON ICED TEA - A simple drink to go with your meal.
VEG. GRILLED SANDWICH - Having a little space left in our tummies, we ordered this simple preparation. I felt it to be a little bit dry, perhaps it was too much bread and very little filling but over all it was decent enough.
I did not like the fact that they did not have water for their customers and asked us to buy a bottle of water, which was priced 30 bucks while the MRP was 20. Overall its a good place and if you like burgers and meat, then this is a damn good place for sure!
Happy Burping!!!
This cafe is located in miramar beach and during my stay in goa, one fine evening my burger cravings took over me and I headed straight to the salt cafe which is near from the beach.
Google maps took us there within no time and the storefront was awesome. It is small and cozy 0lace.
We ordered
Chicken cheese burger and chicken ghee roast sliders for the start both were tasty and flavours were wonderful. The chicken cheeseburger had filling stuffing like big chicken patty lots of cheese fresh lettuce tomato and onion.
The fries were crispy and nice too❤
We then ordered vegetable sandwich and lemon ice tea. Sandwich was nice and tasty also ice tea refreshed us.
It's a pocket friendly cafe to hog on yummy burgers and other stuff
A cosy cafe in a quiet neighbourhood, The Salt Cafe is a no-frills place serving an array of multi-cuisine food. They have Indian, Goan and Chinese food on the menu as well as set lunch combos and pastas.
I tried the Chicken Ghee Roast sliders and really liked them - just perfect to share with someone else, yet they leave you enough room to opt for a main course later. Delicious south Indian flavours with the taste of ghee in every bite, this is a must-try at The Salt Cafe for sure. The Bacon Jam burger was another win. Loved the sweetness of the caramelized onions, salty crunch of the bacon and the juicy, filling patty. The toasted burger bun was a small detail that makes a big difference, really enjoyed the crunchiness that it lent to the burger! The home-made sauce served alongside the burgers go great with the fries too.
Also ordered the Cheese Garlic Kebab, but I felt this could have been way better. i would definitely go back to try their Jucy Lucy!
