The one star less I gave because of service and ambience as it very shady place, some people might not prefer. Also the service is not up to the mark, as you may have to wait for few minutes to get heard by the waiters.

But if I only speak about the food it's almost 5 stars. Food here is heavenly delicious and I will recommend you to try their mutton dishes. Also one thing I have learned about Kolhapuri food is that if the restaurant offers great tambada and Pandhara Rassa then it is obvious that their other dishes are also of great taste. I'm not big fan of Pandhara Rassa but tambada Rassa here is way better than many other Kolhapuri restaurants.

Went to this place as i like Goat meat n not lamb meat. Food was very nice overall, taste was nice, quantity also good. V ordered 2 special mutton thali, 1 with chapati (3), other with bhakri(2). So that we can taste both ways. Tambda rassa n pandhra rassa is unlimited and also good in taste ,not too good but good. Mutton pieces also fresh and alot in quantity. Kheema was okok. Just prob i had was i had asked for spicy but it was medium spicy rest all was a good experience .fast service polite staff, ambience simple like dhaba. Overall 8/10..
Simple but big place. Very noisy. Staff is attentive. They take care of the crowd properly. Food is nice and the never hesitate to serve you with unlimited pandhara rassa the awesome. Mutton used here is most of the times goat meat. Tastes great. Proper blend of spices. Bhakris are always fresh and piping hot. Solkadhi is average. Kheema served in small quantities is best. Last but not the least was pulav rice. What a fantastic flavour. After you are full with unlimited tambada pandhara rassa you can't stop having this pulav rice. recommended.
Wonderful taste, good service!!!! Been here twice, being vegetarian I tried veg Maratha and Shev bhaji and loved it. I am sure Non veg lovers also gonna love this place.
The food is awesome, I love eating here cause the white and red curry is really tasty, they used to serve very less amount of mutton previously but that has increased recently, still can improve on the kheema but considering what they charge for it(thaali) I think it’s more than what you would get!
Cant really say anything about the ambience cause I don’t know what does it mean(you can check the other reviews for it)
I like the food, the place is fairly clean, it’s affordable!

गावरान चिकन फ्राय, चिकन मसाला, भाकरी, बिर्याणी सगळेच छान होते, पण हा पोस्ट फक्त त्यांच्या सोलकढीसाठी टाकतोय.
सोलकढी ऑर्डर करण्यापूर्वी वेटरला तीन वेळा विचारले, की सोलकढी फ्रेश आहे ना ?
त्याने तीनही वेळा हो म्हटल्यावरच मी सोलकढी ऑर्डर केली.
आता सोलकढीचे वर्णन कसे करणार ना ?
त्यामुळे फक्त 'एक नंबर आहे इथली सोलकढी!'

This is nice place. Typical Kolhapuri style tambda pandhra unlimited rassa. Bhakari and chapati also good. Mutton, chicken and kheema preparation is also good. This place is not suitable for bolhai mutton lovers.

We directly jumped to the main course.
Spl mutton thali: It consited ofpandra rassa, taamda rassa, mutton gravy,mutton dry, solkadi,roti & rice.
Mutton was tender and juicy. Gravy was flavourful.
Rava surmai fry: - fresh, crispy and yummy.
A must visit for a authentic maharashtrian food lover.

when u want to have a nice kolhapuri gavran food its a must visit place in pimpri chinchwad area. A la carte shud be preferred as in thali u cant eat that much food also u can have variety of dishes in same cost

On a rainy night yesterday, thought of having dinner at Panhalgad. This is a very easy to locate place. A very simple place with a little interior. Or no interior to be precise. They have just divided the hall into a family section and a non-family section. Kitchen and the hotel entrance face each other. And the tables arranged in two rows.
Surmai Fry Thali:
This includes 2 Chapatis/Bhakaris, a bombil chutney, fish curry, solkadhi, a green curry, plain rice and 2 medium pieces of Surmai Rawa Fry. The Surmai was fresh and was perfectly fried. It came off the bone just like a Malai Barfi. Awesomeness. Even the fish curry was very tasty, nicely spiced, perfect consistency. Even the bombil chutney is kind of OK. It has a lot of masala to it which is not expected. May be it is their way of cooking it. The green curry was just an add on. Solkadhi was a disappointment though. Did not like it.
Overall a nice place to try a different way of non veg food. I have even tried the Mutton Fry and Mutton Masala and Anda thali here. The taste, spice levels, preparation, presentation, service is very good. Its a must try restaurant. I would definitely recommend it.
very good food, specially Tambda Pandhara Rassa, I have been here 3-4 times, tired Mutton, Chicken,, all are good.. Good thing you will get goat mutton not Sheeps.

Great authentic Kolhapuri spicy food restaurant. Visited this place twice, the food quality is maintained, experienced even better quality second time.
The tamba pandra rassa served with chicken/mutton thali is awesome. The spicy taste of both rassa is something you never experience in other food dishes.
Service is average, the attendant was in hurry to write the order, and getting angry to scribble back as we were asking for different options..
Can improve on service front.
But in all good place for non vegetarian thali lovers.
Note- Very few options for vegetarians, no thali for vegetarians...
The best Kolhapuri food ive ever had... This 1 even beats the typical Kolhapuri thali had at Parakh, Kolhapur... Highly recommended if u enjoy tambda pandhra thali...

“Nice option for Kolhapuri Mutton Thali”
This place is located Aga Road near Thermax Chowk. Visited sometime back during lunch time.
Ambiance-
One big covered shade with partition in the middle to have separate family section, about 25 plus tables, few waiting chairs, Kitchen on the other extreme side of the hall; it is Dhaba kind of atmosphere.
Menu-
Pretty much everything (from popular Maharashtrian cuisine) with focus of Kolhapuri and Malwani preparations.
Tried-
Mutton Fry Thali:
Decent portion of dry Mutton onion based preparation nicely garnished with coriander.
Good quality goat mutton.
Egg preparation (on request instead of Khima Wati) was decent.
Tambda Rassa which was not very hot but spicy and high on bay leaves as well as aniseed flowers.
Mellow Pandhra Rassa which was high on bay leaves.
Fresh and cold Solkadhi which was higher on Kokam, little hot but very soothing
Bhakhi which was little dry and hardened.
Rice was garnished with deep fried onions and the combination tasted great.
Freshly chopped onions and lemon slices.
Packaged drinking water is expensive @20.
Service- Little sluggish.

This is an excellent restaurant for authentic Kolhapuri food. They specialize in mutton preparation. The Mutton thali is equally great. Try Mutton thali or chicken thali. Great local flavors. Has been around a long time, but, the quality of the food and the service have remained exceptionally good

After getting it listed on Zomato, My motto just being that the taste should reach more tongues, I am happy to write for them. In so called reviewing, I do not have a habbit to tease a restaurant or write bad about it. As i know that there is always a scope for improvement and every restaurant knows it pretty well.
Here at Panhalgad, it is a bliss to have Maharshtrian style of food both in veg as well as in Non Veg. I have visited them almost 4 or 5 times and had only non veg food. Their Mutton Thali is to count for and The Tambda and Pandra Rassas are a pick. I specially visit this Resto for the Rassas n solkadi.
They serve goats meat and no sheep, it is clearly mentioned inside the Resto. I just love bhakri and the chapati they serve hot everytime. My snaps may speak more for my words.

Food is excellent. Taste is great. Ambience very nice. Neat and clean. Only issue is parking not available.
Great food, regularly eating here since last 7-8 years except COVID period.
The ambience was very gloomy before, recently they have renovated it but sadly there's much improvement in the ambience it's still gloomy. The washroom and wash basin area is as filthy as it was before.
The food here is excellent though, and I guess that's the saving grace for them otherwise it would have been a mess.
I recently visited these hotel. Ambience is good for family n friends. Food is so tasty. Specially mutton dishes are awesome. Must try them. Tambda pandhara rassa so delicious.
Chicken not cooked well as I want. But mutton was so good and tasty. Highly recommended.

Few days back visited this place and tried Chicken Fry Thali cost 300/-.
Thali consist of chicken fry, Anda masala full, Solkadhi, Pandhara & Tambda Rassa (Unlimited), Bhakri, Jeera Rice (plate).
Every item in the dish was pretty decent, but personally love the tambda & Pandhara because of its consistency. Solkadhi was thick too. Just soulful meal with good taste.
Also recommend to try special mutton thali I liked mutton kheema vati.
Place is bit shady but do have separate seating for family.

****Update:- Evey item in thali is BAD in taste((like Tambda rassa, Kheema, rice, Solkadhi, Chicken fry)) from many days.
So instead of thali try Chicken Malvani Handi which is really good also buy Pandhara Rassa separately and that will be the perfect combination👍👍.****
The best place to eat Kolhapuri non veg. Pandhara rassa, fried chicken, tambada rassa, rice is awesome,bhakari roti also available. Each item has unique and delicious in taste. Ambiance is good for both family and frnds crowd.
Great place to have authentic Kolhapuri non veg..specially mentioning the Goat Mutton. It is very delicious and tasty. Spice ness level is upto the mark and well cooked. One can go with family also as there is separate section for family. The service is fast.
Motton thali was good but Gavran Chiken was half cooked ; replacement dish was also same hence rejected by us ..

This type of food is generally spicy and many hotels offer Kolhapuri dishes with literally a dash of chili powder. "Hotel Panhalgad" is situated on Thermax Chowk to Akurdi chowk road. The mutton was definitely more flavorful than the chicken. Variety of great foods to spend a lot. Every dish was fantastic and meticulously curated.
