Misal was good fingerlicking one type... Must try once every misal lover... Worth it..
Awesome tasty misal joint in Pune!
No words for katakirr ..it is always awesome
Great place and nice concept.
They only serve Misal, Chaas and Dahi.
They have 3 varities in Misal (as per spice level) - low, medium and high.
High one is really spicy. So you do need chaas or dahi to kill the spiceness.
The misal served has potato and not sprouts as base.
Service:
A-one.
Crowded Sunday morning- our turn number was 95.
We waited for 15 minutes to get the table.
Service was spot on.
Place your order and you will be served within few seconds.
We didn’t even have to ask for second pav serving.
They are prompt enough.
Ambience:
Casual dining
Must try place.

Keep reading and liking.

I had misal pav for the first time here and i had amazing one . Misal was quite spicy , tangy and crisp , pav was also buttered and soft . I had chhach here which goes well with misal pav . Overall good experience
Katakirrr is a pioneer name in misal and since I am new to Pune, I had to try this.
It is very basic and meets the expectations. Good portion of misal and taste is a standard in itself.
Their process and handling the queue is very good and clear and their seating arrangement is quite simple.
Service is prompt and without any delay which also helps to clear the queue in some ways.
Misal Pav is their USP. They serve the misal in 3 kinds of gravy according to your preference of spice level. I ordered the medium spicy and the extremely spicy one, and both were quite delicious!! If you're new in Pune, you need to visit this place atleast once.
Good Taste. Katakirr is a franchise who only serve Misal in there menu. There are three main version of Misal light, medium & high, which indicates how spicy it would be. I went twice at first tried light which was awesome and next time which was spicy. Their Misal contains very less matki/sprouts, but the gravy taste good. Butter milk is also nice here. It is a must visit place for Misal fans.
Please like & follow.
This is one of the very famous missal joint in Pune. i have visited their karve nagar outlet as well as Pimple saudagar. this review is for Pimple Saudagar outlet, its a clean, neat and hygeine place with a nice quality misal pav. Misal is served with potato sabji (batatawada kind of bhaji), farsan, onion, 2pav and curry (rassa or u can say gravy where lies the core taste of missal). you are offered 3 types of curry to select from - hot, medium and mild. The curry is plain and does not contains any pulses in it. i have tried hot and medium. i would recommend medium to enjoy the taste as super spicy tasted as if i am having some curry with just chilli powder in it. also i recommend to have mattha(tak, buttermilk) to wash down the spiciness of missal. this is certainly not The Best missal joint in Pune but is worth visiting whether u r missal fan or not.
Loved the missal here. Although there is always rush at this place, waiting is worth it. Awesome place for missal lovers.
Mouthwatering Misal Pav, exact taste of Kolhapuri style. Do try the Tikhat Misal.. OMG! Very spicy but you can't stop yourself from eating more inspite of your nose n eyes are water running. Staff and Ambience is awesome. Nice place.. Will visit again and say "KAKA THODI EXTRA TARRI DYANA!!!"
Katakirr
I heard a lot about the misal they serve at this place, so thought of visiting it. The place isn't well maintained. Staff is negligent. Misal indeed was good. Matki and tarri was spicy and delish. They should maintain hygiene and service should be looked on.
Misal Pav - An Authentic Maharastrian snacks close to the heart of every punekar ❤! .
katakirrr is its one stop destination.
Their Misal is served with a spicy gravy( mixture of usal, farsan, boiled potato, onion) and two pav ☺ .
🔸Price - Rs. 70.
🔸Rating - 5/5.
Literally...after a year...I had had Katakirr's misal...I felt I was on the 9th cloud while enjoying the misal...the taste...just yumm...I could still feel the taste of the misal...the mattha was also super tasty...irdered medium misal...heavenly taste with superb quality...just loved it...

I have visited the original branch but that was a long time ago and I was happy that this one is near to my house.
Centrally located , on ground floor. It has a tocken system where you have to enter your details and wait for your number to be called for. We had to wait for 10 mins.
There are only 11 tables and it is hygienic place, and is one for high efficiency. So the total time you are at table the time is spent only in eating.
You have 3 choice.
1. Less spicy
2. Medium spicy
3. Very spicy.
A advise for new members trying for first time. Ho for medium spicy with curd.
If you find meidium spicy nice ask for some very spicy tarri, and next time try option 3 very spicy. And if you find the medium spicy difficult to handle add curd to diffuse the spicy Ness.
The potato smash at the bottom is nice but the no sprouts was my concern. The paav were okish. The curd and taak was good. The service is unbilieveably fast.
The plate is which is least favourite thing.
The sitting arrangements is compact with no back rest and is apt for the crowd.
No tissue paper on the tables was my concern but the had a few in the billing table.
It is one of the places in Pune where you will be served the best misal pav. My favourite is tikhat misal ( extremely spicy ). If you are really a spicy food lover, just try this one. They also serve you Mattha that will help you, if you find misal a bit spicy 😉

On my first visit to pune, i searched for MisalPav outlet that is authentic, hygienic with taste. Katakirrr is a good and know outlet where you'll have to wait a little before taking a seat and on weekends you'll find long waiting here, but that's worth waiting. You get variety that's MisalPav and Dry MisalPav. Each plate costs Rs 70/- and extra pav can be ordered for Rs 5/-. With MisalPav you can order Mattha, Dahi & Rassa. Also you can ask for extra tari if you want to liquidate Misal.
PS: By default they offer Misal that's little spicy, but if you are a real spice (teekha) lover you must order theeka Misal.
How can I miss missal pav on my Pune visit. Authentic misal pav with delicious buttermilk. Their service was very quick. Small place but taste is worth. Stupendous misal pav. Perfect place to satisfy your misal pav taste buds. Pocket friendly and good hygiene. Must try buttermilk.

Scrumptious misal at its best, this place is a must visit! Quick service, no complaint! Do visit!
Misal pav is one of my favourite dishes so I try any place recommended by my friends. This one too was highly appraised by a friend of mine so we friends decided to give it a try.
It's a small place that serves variants of misal pav depending upon one's capacity of bearing the heat (chilli/teekha)
We had Medium spicy misal pav with buttermilk and it was so yum that my mouth is watering even while m writing this review 😄
Not just misal pav, buttermilk was good too.
This place is certainly recommended for anyone who loves misal pav.
Puneri misal is must try dish
I went to this place with my friends
Two flavours are available
If you want to try #jhanjhanit #extreme spicy
Go for it
Or have medium misal
Tari is the main key dish.
It activated all my taste buds
Ambience is simple and sweet
It is always crowded
Went there for the first time!! Misal pav is awesome!! Just loved loved loved it!! Everyone must try it!! I was wondering how people can it Misal with pav earlier but when I tried it I really fell in love! 😍
I absolutely love missal pav and i keep trying at all local places. I came across this one and was totally excited. They serve three options of the tarri normal, medium spicy and super spicy. I tried their super spicy tarri along with extra pavs and butter milk. Ohh what satisfaction it was! Awesome combination of tarri spices.
Must try for all missal pav lovers.
I've tried misal pav here today and I'm a spice lover. I just loved the tikhat misal pav, it was too oily obviously due to the 'tarri' which is most important for it's effect of making my nose and eyes water. One thing was missing though, the rassa they give didn't have sprouts in it, normally the gravy has sprouts.

Misal Pav time-
Ambiance-
Katakirrr is of the most famous Misal Pav serving restaurants in Pune. They have many outlets in the city and ambiance is same in all the outlets. They have indoor sitting arrangement available and token system for better management.
Food-
They serve one of the best Misal Pav in the city. We can order spicy as per our need. A bowl full of Misal along with pav tasted perfect. We also placed an order for Buttermilk (Maththa). A Misal with 2 Pav cost INR 70 and it's totally worth.
Service-
Service was good and the staff was attentive.
Katakirrr is one of the Major Players in town for Having Misal Pav. Compared to the other Misal houses that i’ve been too, the ambience is much better, simple yet neat. We got our token number and we were asked whether we wanted a Medium spicy, Super spicy or the least Spicy misal, and we called for the Medium as well as the Super spicy misal. The Medium spicy misal was really good. The taste of the Sprouts, Farsan was just delicious ! The rassa for me was spicy enough. Great quality, quantity and taste. I did not like the super spicy one as it was extremely oily and all i could taste was ‘spice’ and i did not enjoy it really, so personally i did not like this. Nevertheless, the Medium spicy one is great in taste and i recommend all of you Misal lovers to try it out.
Big fan of misal... V always go... Sunday spclly.... And evn ask other to go... 😉 And evn the person who comes for first tym in pune v take them to kattakirrrr.... And they evn do love the misal....
Kata kirr is the one of oldest misal place whose serve the best authentic misal in pune.
There is big misconception about This Misal is that it's very very Spicy, hence people are reluctant to try it. Whereas as Katakirr is not that Spicy and it has a unique taste and they do have medium ,light misal as well so you can try it.
No change in taste.Just wow....
Service is quick and less waiting
©Shwetjay
One of the oldest and famous place ...
They have 3 types of misal light , medium and spicy ...With or without buttermilk ...
A simple breakfast point which is crowdy ..
Avg.waiting time is 10 to 15 mins ...
Service is fast and rates are reasoble ..
I miss the good old days when me and my friends used to visit katakirrr opp garware... Nothing can beat that.
Let's talk about this in pimple saudagar. So far best place for misal in at least 7km radius in pimple saudagar. Not disappointing at all.
Should break stereotype for items being served at katakirrr and add few variety. Not many just 1-2 items.
And the owners sitting at counter .. no offense..
Are serious.. zero tolerance to nonsense or any sense that customer would make. Always has expressions like fat Tony from Simpsons. Just kidding.. I mean smiling won't hurt. They do not offend or hurt anyone but do not do any good with that expressions on face either. Please don't mind the comment, just an opinion..
We visit this outlet For Sunday Morning Breakfast , Best Quality of Misal Pav , Good ambiance, service and taste.there is 3 options misal Sampal.Simple medium and spicy.fresh quality of farsan. Overall very nice and tasty place to have misal Pav 😋😋
Kata Kirr is one of oldest misal place. We ordered the most spicy misal, and it was bomb - super spicy. If you don't like spicy they do have light and medium misal as well. Never uad any bad experience at Kata Kirr. It like top 5 in my list.
Firstly being from Mumbai, I’m a Mamledaar misal fan but Katakirr is no less! Taste and quality wise this place is amazing! The missal is very well seasoned and the amount served is perfect for the price that we are paying for it! Worth trying Mumbaikars and other misal lovers, but still would rate Mamledaar by just one point greater than Katakirr !
One of the finest misal had in Pune after a very long time
Not so spicy not so mild, just perfect blend of all the ingredients, definitely should visit
A simple dine-out breakfast spot which is always crowded. Average waiting time is 20 mins until you get your hands on misal pavs. Mattha was too good as well.
The place is famous for misal pav delicacy. I had ordered misal pav medium spicy n buttermilk. The taste was gud but the misal was too spicy for my taste. Service is perfect. Ambience is like a eat n go place.. Nothng to admire abt.
Oh the misal.... Punes best misal gets another branch. The taste is amazing. It serves great hot misals which are lovely to taste. It rastes the same as the orignal branch
The normal Misal was medium spicy itself , wondering how much Medium and Tikha will be in actual.
The misal pav was good in taste. I was shocked to see a 1st place which have written that they charge Rs.35 if one wish to share misal pav. May be people try to enjoy a lot by paying for one.
We were exempted from these charges as we visited 1st time.
Matha (butter milk) was tasty as well.
A must visit place if you like misal

Ek number.... I went couple of times... It is best for spice lovers and the main thing, it is tasty as well. I took my wife for the first time to Katakirrr, Now it is my wife's favourite Misal.
This is one of its best franchise around Pune . Great ambience and misal quality. But if you try a spicy misal with chilled curd (DAHI) or buttermilk (TAAK) it tastes much better. PS please change size of PAAV it's smaller compared to other misal brands.
***Definitely worth try for all Misal Pav lovers***
There is no other place better than this for Misal Pav. Its just awesome. You get it in lite, medium and tikka flavour. We tried medium one and it was just perfect for our taste. Spiciness, sev, batat subji, some pulses, you get all flavour in it while you eat. Pav that they serve with misal are super soft and not to forget the cooling buttermilk you can have after spicy meal. Usually you wil find waiting on weekends. Place is small with conjested bench seating so keep this in mind before going. If you have concerns on ambience then you can always order it online and enjoy it at your home.
The normal misal pav itself is spicy and tasty. The very spicy misal pav literally just tastes like chilly water. Wouldn't recommend that. Hard to find a seat as it has limited seating and it's usually crowded in the morning. Try it only if don't mind spicy food.
My usual place for Misal whenever I visit Pune. A very limited menu which serves just Misal and Mattha (Maharashtrian style Chaas).
They serve a few variants of Misal.
• Less Spicy
• Medium Spicy
• Spicy
• Dahi
If it's your first time, opt for the first two ones. Everything is moderately priced. Great breakfast to start your day.
Are you a die hard fan of misal pav?
Wanna eat something spicy and amazing?
Katakirr hotel is an answer for all.....
It is a well known hotel for 'Misal pav'❤
If you love spicy misal then you should try katakirr misal.
The misal is served with farsan, chopped onion and gravy.
The combination of all these elements is what makes it so tasty.
It is one of the spiciest misal ever tasted.
The service is quick and good.
Ambience -3/5
Do visit this place and enjoy the spicy misal pav.
It was lazy morning and I was craving for misal.
So ordered from Katakirr misal. And it was the same feel of sitting in their outlet and eating.
Things were properly packed separately. And the quantity was also good. And as always the misal breakfast rocked.
Nice place to have Misal. Really not a great Misal but worth trying it. Quick service and hygienic restaurant. Try Medium only if you can handle spicy food.
5 stars for best missal place in Pune!!!
Medium Spicy missal is gonna be too spicy for people who generally don't have a good appetite for their stomach to eat spicy food!
Missal + Taak (Buttermilk) is the best combination ever!
If in Pune, this is a must must try!

This place serves really good Misal Pav. The farsang is mixed with Masala Aloo which increases the flavour when mixed with gravy. They have a small seating area which is always full.
Awesome taste, spicy misal with sponge pav🤤
Visited at this place with my friends and they too liked the taste of it and main cleanliness and good service
As we are a tourist in the city and misal pav is top on my list so one of our friend took us to this place and I literally enjoyed their misal pav, it's something to die for, the gravy they served with it is what my tastes bud is craving for and if I am on a empty stomach I might finished 2, 3 plates of that. They have a normal setup and moving crowd but I felt it was difficult to find place there in weekdays afternoon, so plan accordingly!
I have ordered Mild Misal because spicy is too much spicy I can't eat :( .. I found Misal is very nice but taste is little different than Karve road branch.
Its a very good option near Pimple Saudagar .. Location is good and easy to find out .... Service is fast and location is also good... But some times need to wait in peak hours on weekends ..
You must try this at least ones :) Good ...
Tempting misal pav in Pune!!!
High, medium and low. Three types of misal pav!
All we're mouth watering and higher one could make u cry though ;-)
Heard of this place from a friend, finally got a chance to try it out. Good things are that the place is centrally located, neat and clean, token system, fast service. Best thing is they serve only Missal and that too in three variants, light, medium, high which is how teekha it will get. We have tried light and medium as you can see I. The pics. The taste is pretty decent not one of the best but definitely not disappointing at all and a very good option to have Missal if you live in close vicinity.
All time favourite place for misal. There 3 types of misal less spicy, medium spicy and high spicy. If you a true spicy lover only then try the high spicy one and make sure you have taak(chaas) to clam the spice a bit. Proper Kolhapuri misal. Took my non maharashrian friends there they are in love with it totally. Just need to improve hygiene a bit.
Well, this has been literally my go to place every weekend morning for a lazy brunch. Their misal pav comes in three variants—light, medium, spicy. I always prefer the light or medium one. The misal plate is fairly priced. Preparation is fresh. One of my favs is their Mattha, which I love to have with the misal. The place is often crowded at breakfast and lunch time but the crowd is fast moving so the waiting time is not much. Go try their misal at least once :)
Had previously tried the Nal stop outlet.Wasnt quite impressed. But gave it another try this time with Pimple saudagar outlet. The misal was yum! perfect combination of spice and crunch! Loved it. Will definitely visit again!😊
Maybe it was the sunk cost fallacy of one and half hour of wait, maybe it was the social proof from all that crowd waiting with me patiently to get in to the resto for a measly 10 mins. The first morsel of the spicy zing and I knew it all had been worth the wait. Garnished with onions and coriander, the misal proves a tough contender against the famous Mamledar misal (Thane). Do not forget to order the mattha/chhas to go along with the meal. If you find the misal too spicy then you can order a serving of dahi to reduce the hotness. Will prefer to pick up a parcel from next time and enjoy the luxury of eating in peace at home. But if you have the dedication and are willing to wait then go for it.
Main purpose of visiting this place was to find out which misal is best. Mumbai’s Mamledar or pune’s Katakirrr..... we went on Saturday afternoon and I was expecting some good waiting time but voila I was lucky it was just about over 5 mins. We get seated and order our medium spicy misal Pav with chass. They serve Tari separately which I really liked as usually misal tends to be dry after few bites... so thumbs up for that. But to my taste there was some subtle hint of sweetness in misal which did not go well with me. And of course winner for me was Mumbai’s Mamledar. Though my husband was having exactly opposite opinion. So I think it’s more upto the taste of the person.
There is nothing called ambience, staff is nice, friendly courteous and it’s is very light on the pocket for a hearty meal.... so next time anyone in Pune do give it a try, it won’t disappoint you...

One of the best Misals you can have in Pune. And on a lighter note, probably the only Misal place which have the option to have Misal without Matki 😛
The Medium Spicy Matki Misal is what you might want to try, along with a delicious glass of buttermilk. Spicy might be too spicy, but the Medium Spicy misal hits just the right flavors.
Matki along with mashed potatoes, farsan, coriander, onions and lemon and the flavourful rassa is what you expect and what you get.
The quantity is little less than expected for the price, but the taste compensates it all.
Overall,
Food : 5/5
Service : 5/5
Atmosphere : 5/5
Value for Money : 4.5/5 (Due to slightly less quantity)
So far in Pune I never had this tasty and authentic misal. The real taste and the quality they have is truly appreciated since an outsider can have in their memories after having it. The timings are little different and to have it please visit this location at noon time. All the items in misal are a must try and will recommend to all and family will love since you can customise the level of spices in it.
Missal is fantastic, but place is very small and also I'll not recommend going early morning. Shop opens but they don't let you sit. Everytime I've almost waited 30 mins. But misal is very good.
Amazing place to have the best missal around Pimpri and is quite famous for the taste. Don't opt for a spicy one unless you think you can handle it. Matha is really nice here.
1. Place is not that much big
2. Seating is limited
3. Place is clean and tidy
4.taste is good, we had medium spicy misal
5. They really need to improve on bowl size , very small
You cant able to mix farsan and rassa
6 .parking : 2 wheeler easily available
4 wheeler you need park at walking distance
Please for Gods sake if you are trying this misal for first time don,t go for spicy direct try medium first and then go for spicy. The ambience is good and the staff is fun and supporting.Misal was 4/5 cause the spicy misal ruined it for us otherwise it could have been 5 and also as others have mentioned the bowl in which they serve misal is pretty inconvenient to eat in that small bowl.
One of the well known Misal of Pune. Tried medium spicy misal. The taste and quality is good.. The quantity is limited one can order with extra charge. The buttermilk and solkadhi is also good in taste. Have many outlets. This outlet is small have waiting.
Actually 3.5 stars - reduced half star for seating benches and no unlimited onion or lemon.
This is a good Misal house with good taste. They serve you with Spicy, medium spicy taste. It cost ₹70 per plate.
They serve misal with sprinkle of onion and 1 piece of lemon. Unlike other misal house they serve limited onion.
Along with that they keep gravy (Tarrri) and tadaka oil with red chilly powder to make it spicy for people who want it more spicy.
We chose both type of Misal, and were of satisfactory taste. Spicy misal is really spicy and has a good taste. Mediun spicy misal was also spicy but lesser than spicy misal.
They serve 2 pav to make it easier for calculation. ₹5 for 2 pieces of pavs.
Along with that they serve Curd and Masala Butter milk which is of good taste and go really well with spicy and tasty misal.
Since it was Sunday morning, there was a waiting but we got the table in 5-10 mins. They give you token and announce your name.
Definitely worth a try and I am sure you will love the taste...
Cons - sitting is a bit uncomfortable on wooden benches due to limited space but since they serve just misal and you are going to spend just 30-40 mins. Thats fine.
They dont serve unlimited onion like other misal house.
Hope you have a good time enjoying misal...
Like the review if it is helpful.
Best Misal in town, dare to try their tikhatt misal and you will have water running from nose. Also their buttermilk is different in taste.
The place is good.. Misal taste is somewhat different than usual misal. One should try most spicy misal to feel the aroma and spice on your tongue and throughout your head, eyes, nose and ear(one won't have this without sweat, enjoy different experience)
I had heard a lot about this chain but this was my first visit. No doubt it is worth all the praise. I had the max spicy and I totally loved it. Chhas was also good and given the spice level it is must.
If you don't eat spicy, take the least spicy as even medium spicy might be more for you.
This is the second katakirr outlet I have visited. The staff here is friendly as compared to the branch in Karve Nagar, kothrud.
The place is nice, clean and has a welcoming vibe. This outlet also has the same ordering method(token) as all the other katakirr outlets.
I ordered a spicy misal with their traditional mattha(chilled buttermilk with mild spices).
But the taste was not the same as I was expecting. It was a bit different from the kothrud outlet. Maybe the place was using old ingredients I'm not sure but the misal was only spicy and the shev and papdi were tasting a bit old, Maybe this happened with only our plates not sure.
They also serve medium spicy and nonspicy misal.
But give it a try, you might have good luck and love it.
I will definitely again try their misal and let you know.
Really good food, the spiciest misal will definitely be too hot to handle for some, better try the medium spicy one and the buttermilk is a must.
