This Bakery is inspired by the french colony of pondicherry. I found a lot of variety of cakes and pasteries and other bakery stuff, which you will rarely find in pondicherry.
Hot latte coffee with croissants and spinach pitta sandwich was really amazing...I would recommend to visit the bakery after beach.
Delicious pizzas..
The tira-misu was simply out if this world.the best I had till date..
Chocolate Shake n fresh watermelon juice was also v good..
A must for everyone visiting Pondicherry !!
If at all you are in pondicherry, Baker street is a must visit to taste the French delicacies. You have a variety of items there. Do try quiche; authentic. The lemon tarte was yummy!! U never get disappointed. But service need to be improved in terms of momentum.
It's an awesome moment to be here..people who intend to visit Pondicherry must not ignore Baker Street by any means. Opportunity to achieve great experiences of French receipe..
If you are in pondicherry, do visit this place! You will love it! Yeah, costy place but you know you are in vacation. So you can go and enjoy the food atleast once! Mammamia!
Awesome experience, a tad expensive. Ambiance is good, food is excellent. Service is fast. A must visit place.
Chicken Pesto sandwich butter crrosiant Ham Quiche Palmier was what we picked on our first visit... believe me when you enter first-time you will feel to grab everything what they have offer....If you are Pondicherry and miss this place then it's a Sin....go grab it!
Always enjoy the ambience and the lovely croissant and pastries at baker's street. Definitely a must visit on a Sunday morning!
Delicious options, hard to choose. Would recommend to everyone. Had crossoint, cheese quiche.
Chicken burger is just jucilicious and butter crossaint and chocolate home made ice cream... it's just wow ...
Great French bakery. Good to have a heavy breakfast. The items and desserts are delicious. Take time and visit the place.
They are about 10 mins walk from the beach.
They are located on Bussy Street.
The place will not disappoint you.
Went there few months back for breakfast, hearing from some of my friends. Place opens early at 7 am, had some authentic french breads and desserts.I had butter croissant, chocolate croissant chocochip banana bread, chocolate eclair and some more. Butter croissant was good authentic having layers of pastry sheets with right amount of butter which makes it perfectly soft and crunchy from outside.
A very small bakery on the beach. Great taste had a chocolate cake and a caramel cake, was awesome. The taste was great and everything tasted so fresh and yummy. Take a cake and sit on the adjacent benches outside the bakery savour it watching the waves. Its awesome. Also had a hot chocolate to carry it along.
Went there for breakfast and wasn't disappointed. One of the first shops in that vicinity that opens the earliest(other than the liquor store opposite this 😂) so it's a good spot to have a quick bite once you land in pondicherry.
The croissants and cinnamon roll were nice but not the best. Same goes for the tofu and chicken sandwich that we ordered. Their macaroons looked amazing but didn't get a chance to try, so please do try.
The food was really good. A really different experience for breakfast. They have a wide variety of options to choose from👌. The place is really hyped, so definitely recommend to visit if in Pondicherry. The desserts are really yum. I felt the bread used for the pesto sandwich was a bit hard. Rest everything was really tasty 👌
Fabulous in one word! You get some amazing French style desserts here. Highly recommend visiting this place on Bussy street. A little on the expensive side, but it's worth it. Absolutely recommend the lemon tart and butter croissant. The chocolate eclair was also quite delicious .
This is a bustling, unassuming and breathtakingly beautiful European cuisine inspired cafe. I went there at 8 or 9 in the morning and it was full, but I mean people were standing at the entrance just to get a seat and I was lucky to get it. The food was freshly made and sold, everything you get was oven fresh(literally). The best croissants I've ever had, and I've had croissants in quite a few places. You'd feel like a kid in a candy store looking at the sheer variety of items on display. The only reason I've given service 4/5 is because I had to wait a bit and it wasn't clear where I had to order.
Best places for buying bakery products. Items are having good variety, quality and prices are reasonable. They have ice cream. Very good ambience for dining. Very quick service. Very professional people
A much hyped place and has two branches in Whitetown ! The branch near to beach is very small compared to the one near market.
You can try eclairs and other bakery items. It's a French concept store. Quiche is a must try. Hot chocolate and cinnamon roll was my go to combo.
Take a walk beside the beach and go to this place for your sweet tooth!
Atmosphere is not that great ! The food is good we had 2 dessert, 1 sandwich and 1 croissants…!
Croissants is not that great as I don’t like spinach 😜
Deserts was superb
Came to Pondy with high expectations and Baker Street did not disappoint! The pastries and their savoury dishes were really yummy. We enjoyed it some much that we came here twice in the course of a short trip. The ambience is great - it's always bustling whatever time of the day (that's how much people like it!) Their macarons especially were amazing!
We went ahead with the items below-
Choco Caramel - It was awesome. 💯
Almond croissant - It was not at all flaky and fresh. It tastes of ghee. 2 out of 5
Coffee cappuccino - 3 out of 5
I went for a two day trip in Pondi and both days I visited Bakers street.
Their butter croissant is soo good. Also I had their pesto chicken sandwich… the hot chocolate was not that thick but taste wise it was good.
The second day I tried their mango cheesecake and bought one cookie box !!!
It’s overpriced but still tasty!
Great place with an amazing collection of bakery items. Name it and they have it. Will feel like french heaven. Only disappointment is the pricing, little on the higher side and definitely heavier on pocket.
The eclairs are to die for. Croissant and cheese cakes are amazing. Millefeuille is just lovely. Cinnamon rolls and palmier are good too. Can't stop praising enough. 4 stars is only for the price point.
Would be a 5 star place if they are a little pocket friendly. Definitely worth visiting but also be ready to spend more than a few bucks.
