Nice and polite staff. Wood fire pizza is quite good, though not the best... One can enjoy the ambience with nice hot food and cold beer. One can visit here for a nice evening.
I had fish here which was the best fish I had till now.Though it was bit expensive but it tasted heavenly amazing.I paid ₹850 but it was worth.It came with 2bowls of white rice along with salad .And they had beautiful ambience along with the bar .If you are in a Pondicherry and want to have fish you must visit here
Peaceful, prompt and courteous and friendly staff, delectable food - both in terms of taste and look. I happened to walk in after a long stroll on the promenade and white town and this place was perfect to just enjoy a non pretentious, non disturbing dinner. The only con was that the chicken was a little too chewy to my liking.
Weekdays would be a better place to visit this place..Calm environment..outdoor sitting.. Courteous staff is just few of the good things here..Ordered kadhai panneer and pizza,although waited for few extra minutes but it was worth it..Near the rock beach..After a long evening walk,this place will be the best place around to relax..They serve Chilled beer!!

Celine's Kitchen is one hidden gem among the numerous cafes and restaurants dotting the White Town area of Pondicherry. It was our second day in Pondi and after a morning sight seeing we were hungry and looking for a good cafe or restaurant nearby our hotel. While roaming for sometime came across this cafe and after a quick check in Zomato entered here. It was an amazing experience here both with ambiance and food. A must visit place for all food lovers.
Location: It is located on the Rue Du Bazar, Saint Laurent area of White Town. A few minutes walking distance from the beach. Check google maps for details.
Parking: There is the usual road side parking available if you are coming by road.
Ambiance: The restaurant is quite spread out and the first thing that comes to mind on seeing this is the famous Goan shacks. With thatched roof in one part and fans over head you got to miss Goa. There is minimal decoration but it is quite open and spacious which is quite rare here in Pondi owing to lack of space.
Seating: Seats are good and comfortable and plenty in number and can easily accommodate a large party.
Service: I often see people complaining about slow service. They should probably remember that these are no fast food chains that will serve you in minutes. If you are looking for quick service go to a McD or Dominos. Good food requires time to cook. Same was here and we were not complaining. Staff was welcoming and provided suggestions on asking. No complains on that.
Food: We ordered a Quatro Da Formaggi pizza, a Prawn and a fish dish (not remembering the names now). All the items were well cooked and in sufficient quantity. Sea food items appeared fresh and tasty.
Price: A overall meal with 3 course will set you back by around Rs.1500-2000. Few of the items are little on the higher side specially in the main course. Otherwise the rates are ok for this kind of restaurant in a touristy area.
Overall a very beautiful experience having lunch here in a open air surrounding. Food is good and tasty. The only drawback I can think of is the open area theme which may put off some customers as it gets really hot sometimes during day time. Rest all is good and everyone should try having at least one meal here. Highly recommended from my side.

A random place for us which was completely forgettable based on dim lit ambiance and mosquito's but man,....the food was brilliant.
Like mentioned, it was a tiring evening for us and we stumbled upon this joint. Now, as mentioned it was dim lit, full of mosquito's. Only saving grace was the fan which was doing it's best to keep'em away.
Coming to food, we tried cream of mushroom soup followed by vegetarian lasagna. Soup was exquisite and so was the lasagna. I was so impressed, that I got a couple of items Dal bukhara and Paneer tikka more, which also turned out to be delightful.
All in all, a great place to visit for food. Good luck!
The best in class budget restaurant white town has to offer. Been here a couple of times and absolutely loved the experiences. A thumbs up for the food, courteous staffs, the spread and all other things. Only if they could reduce the waiting time.

Both the cuisines turned out to be exceptionally well.
Ambience is amazing too.

We have been to Celine's Kitchen and must say their food plus hospitality's too good. We tried pizza on the first day and north Indian the second day and both were awesome. Another good thing about this place is the service. It's good for sure. Ambiance wise you can improve a bit. Food s your usp! Thanks for the experience.
One of my favourite place and a must visit resturant is celine's kitch. If you order just a beer you will end up ordering few more beacuse of the lovely ambience, decor, staff and definately the food.
I was in love with the pizza. The pizzas are the best you will find in pondy. Gauva Berry is again another favourite must try drink.
Excellent food. Taste was awesome. Pleas do try if you are visiting Pondy. Price very reasonable.

Awesome food. Starters, Indian & Continental main course dishes were equally well made. We tried prawn and chicken starters which were very good. Risotto, steak and pizzas were good too. Among Indian cuisine we tried murg tikka lababdar & chicken afgani with roti and kulcha. Decent ambience
This place has an outside seating area which is kinda romantic if you bring your date. Food is at par and tastes just as in any other restaurants. So if you dont want to spend Rs 450 for an ordinary chicken dish this place is not for you.
On the last evening of our trip to Pondy we visited this place, after much wandering in white town for some good vegetarian food.
Celine's kitchen offers everything you look for when you visit a restaurant, the ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner or an outing with friends & family. The decor is very tastefully done.
Service was prompt and staff friendly.
We ordered Croquettes, Batterfried veggies & Padania pizza. All of the 3 turned out to be really good.
It made us wonder why we didn't visit the place sooner. I would most definitely visit again.

Awesome ambience. Tasty food ( I’ve tried Indian only). Should try here once when you’re in Pondicherry. The service over here is very good too.
Loved the interiors, seating and the whole chilled out ambience! Went there especially for the freshly cooked wood-fire oven pizza and it was indeed an excellent lunch! Chef was gracious enough to make a fresh pizza in front of us and let us click it and elaborate the whole prep with me! Liked the painted bottles kept as deco on all the tables!
For starters we took bira along with prawns skewers which was spicy and loved the presentation!
Our pizza followed rather quickly but it was a delight to taste it! With sausages and corns and red onions and just perfect amount of cheese and seasoning- oh my my!! Loved it!
Ps:- branch out at Delhi pls but with the same pricing 😆

Awesome food and I really mean it.. Got so addicted to this place.. Kitchen is so clean and hygienic and you get a clear view of your food getting cooked.. I highly recommend this place for the pizza and also spicy wings... Do try thier mutton curry village style.. Had a great time and will visit...this place is rare in pondi as they are not expensive at all.. Bira white for just 160 rs.. You won't get such food n drink deal back here in Mumbai.. Staff was so friendly and courteous.. Keep up the good work.. The only reason they don't get a 5 from me is the fact that they don't serve hard liquor.. Only wine n beer is available.
Yasss finally dinner that is yummy and I like how the risotto was made into 4 balls. Ambience is fine but can do a lot better. Price is somewhat okay depending on the meal Overall this is a good place to eat and fill your tummy.
You can drink to contentment and relax to the feeling of a Shack seating with magnificent ambience and splendid service. The food is heaven that you don't need to even feel the need to light up a cigarette while you chugging a few beers.

After a great day at Rock Beach and exploring the streets of White Town, we were looking for a place for dinner. After looking for a while on Zomato, we finally decided to visit this place. While we entered, the place looked awesome with slightly dimmed lights, slow music and hut-shaped arrangements of tables at one side. The ambience of the place is amazing with all the arrangements it has; especially at night. The first thought came to me when I entered was - this is the kind of place for couples to enjoy a quiet evening. Sadly, I was with a 'guy' friend of mine 😜
Coming to the food and services, the pizza that we ordered, was quite delicious...and coupled with beers, it was absolutely a great combination. However, the Ravioli Pasta we had was not that nice. The services and staff were quite decent and friendly.
I would rate the overall experience, 8.5/10. And I'm definitely coming again to the place when I visit Pondi next time. No offence to my friend but had I been here with a girlfriend, the evening would have been 'romantic' and a lot lot different 😝
To my future girlfriend, I'm definitely taking you here when we plan a trip to Pondicherry. 😉
If you want to feel the pulse of Pondicherry and relax, this is the place to visit. The place is very spacious and has nice ambiance with typical coastal feel to it. They seem to have a very interesting food menu. We ordered Kalan Milagu Piratal, which is dish made with sauteed mushrooms, it was lip smacking and complemented the beverages we ordered very well. The service can be a bit slow when the place is crowded but I think the food and ambiance are worth the wait

We went here for dinner... being our first time in pondi we were walking across the streets in the evening and found this place.
Talking about the food, it was amazing. Being a chef myself I loved it. The taste was on point and the nalli gosht mutton curry was absolutely mouth watering. It was perfectly cooked and the mutton would just melt away in ones mouth.
But, the service was a big let down. We had to wait for about 30mins after our starters for our main course which we got upset with and thought of walking away. There were no cutleries and tissues on the table and the first thing when a guest walks in is to fill his glass with water for which we had asked three times and yet didn't get. They even made us wait 10 mins for our bill. The service men were just walking around not looking at guests if they need help. Service was slow and good improve a lot.
Our evening started of really well till we finished our starters and then our impression about the place went down. If even I come back to this place it will be only for the amazing food and I hope the service improves till next time. Fixing up the service part would turn as a big profit for the restaurant coz they already have amazing food
I'm reviewing this restaurant after 7 months and still I remember the place's name. This shows how worth the food, ambience and service was, and I hope it's still the same. Would definitely visit here if ever been to Pondicherry again.
If your a French spy and staying in White town for like couple of months... perhaps the Music.. crowd and the ambience of this place apart from Saturdays and Sundays.. may remember you of home... Lol.. mentioned Saturdays and Sundays because the place goes all Punjabi and not authentic on those days...Don't know why... Perhaps to attract local crowd for bussiness I guess... Not sure.. Apart from that.. one advise would be to train the junior waiters basics of hotel management etiquette...(not mentioning this on a rude Note) Serving drinks and food etc... Would perhaps get the average points to 4 and above... Cheers..

We were at Rock beach when it started raining heavily, we landed at this place by choice in given situation without considering any public ratings (for a change ;)). The staff was welcoming and humble. We ordered a veg pizza and BIRA beer. It played smooth French music in the white town which made the food taste better. I would recommend to try it once!

I went to this place back to back 2 nights at my stay in Pondy and it just served me back with same love ;) Ambience of the place is the USP.
Staff is nice though less responsive sometimes.
We tried pizza, fried tawa fish, shammi kebab and all were good. Choice of beer is subject to availability.
Overall the place let's you personal space as well as seating plan is very nice.
Only bad thing I didn't like was waiter directly coming up with bill rather than asking for my last order at bar 🙄 that I don't blame him as i was in no mood to leave the place 🍻

The ambiance of this restaurant is beautiful! Such a wonderful place to visit with friends and family. We were already a bit full so we just had some pasta, tomato and chicken, which was really tasty. Go here if you're looking for a quiet place to unwind!
A relaxing and soothing place to have a beer and non veg. Sitting at the non vegan table part of the table, we ordered Pahadi Chicken Tikka, Fried Fish, Fish Curry and Chicken Chettinaidu. All the dishes were great in taste. Although the Fried Fish could be better. But it was a beautiful place and amazing experience.
The food is great. The service is slow and a bit rude. That's the only reason it's been marked down... otherwise great Ambience and yum yum scrumptious food...

Overall Pondicherry is a nice place and then if you are in Pondi you also wanna taste something out of the box after a hectic site seeing. We first went to some other casual dining place where children are not allowed so the security guard advised us about this place. Nice ambience, Menu is also good, service is good and quick and most important thing the taste of all the food we ordered rejuvenated our taste buds after having enough of Idli, Sambhar and Dosas. Mostly outdoor sitting and have continental and north indian both. we tried Italian for main course and taste of all the Pastas were good. For starters we asked for Crunchy Tangy Babycorn and Mushroom which was also good. Will surely like to visit it whenever again we will be in Pondi.

Awesome Place. Best near Rock beach. Food quality is awesome with variety. We went there on 10th & 11th December to celebrate my wife birthday and Celine's kitchen was the BEST place to celebrate the occasion. They have best staff in pondi & owner Balpreet is superb.
We visited this place on New years eve when we were in Pondicherry. The place is a garden restaurant and was well lit with numerous lights for new years.
We tried the calamari gymkhana, tawa fish fry and fish curry with rice. The food was pretty decent, but a little pricey.
We liked the ambience and service.
Not a bad place at all. We were a bit skeptical entering this place , but unfortunately landed on a dry day and hence most of the places were shut. This has a decent ambience, a typical 'beach-side' cafe look and a hospitable staff. Food was tasty, nothing over the board delicious but had a tummy full value meal. Only negative I guess was the service - which was a tad slow for the liking.

Nice place to go but go on the weekdays. Service is painfully slow on weekends. Serves a decent mix of both continental and Indian food. A bit pricy but the portions are quiet decent. We went as a group of ten ordered chicken skewers which were very tasty apart from the baby corn. The Indian breads and curries were quiet tasty. Also had pasta which was tasty and authentic in taste. Near the beach so a walk after dinner is easily possible. Must try

I was looking for a place to dine on a Saturday evening without any reservations, so I entered this place.

I ordered a standard Veg Pizza : the crust was thin and not very hard. There wasn't anything very special about the pizza, it was average (for the lack of a better word)

It was initially the fairy lights and the canopies that drew me to this place, so i'd give a plus to the ambience. Its quite and the music is soft. The rustic garden feel to it can be pleasing ,especially on a breezy evening.
*Service*
The service was slow but the manager apologized for it- which was indeed sweet of him.

1. I was so happy that this place was strictly NON-SMOKING. *major problem in most Pondicherry restaurants*
2. For the price point, I think this place isn't worth it.
The minestrone soup is good. Tandoori aloo is average. The spaghetti was pretty decent as well. The food is a little overpriced but the ambience makes up for it.
My Husband and I headed to this place on a friends suggestion.
During the 2 days that we were in Puducherry we went to this place twice.
We loved the outdoor seating area and the green feel to it. We had continental and Indian. We loved the vegetable ratatouille, veg sheekh kabab.

Went there as friends had suggested. About 100 seater, was empty on a Sunday afternoon, with only 12 of us. Good quality as well as service was excellent, pricing steep. We had 4 kids who used the place as a play area :)

Was quite surprised with the poor rating. Its one of those don't go by the ratings kind of place. A little pricey considering that its located in the heart of white town and close to the shore. Offer on pizza and beer for rs. 199 is cool. Great ambience n seating. Up front they serve you home made bread with a mayo dip complimentary. After the meal they serve you a mint and ginger concoction in a shot glass which is very refreshing n tastes great. No VAT, service charges or extra taxes.

During a long weekend visit, despite initial impressions due to empty seats and restaurant's spaciousness, our experience was surprisingly positive. The mushroom fry stood out with its delightful crunchiness, and the North Indian dishes like butter kulcha and kolhapuri were satisfying. Additionally, the iced tea had a decent taste. Worth trying!
A very serene place to enjoy your food. Ambience is very simple, minimalistic. Food was very good. We were a little apprehensive in the beginning as it was quite empty at lunch time. But later a few more people came.
We tried their fried lemon soup which was a new tasty one for us. Chicken steak was good. Naan and butter chicken was also good.

It’s a quite family restaurant in hut style in the heart of the town. The service was good and quick no complaints. The food quality was ok but the pizza was a disappointment since the base was so hard and the base is pre-baked so further baking made it hard and crispy. And it’s a dry restaurant since they lost the license for spirits they had to stoke it out of menu. The hot pot soup 🍲 was quite bland. The fish fry was good and the burritos 🌯 was good aswell. For the price we felt the value could had been better but no major complaints. The place is relatively clean and relaxing.
On last day of our trip went to Celine’s Kitchen for dinner. Nice cosy ambiance with straw hut structure of sitting area as well as french local restaurant brick seating area. As amazing is place food is also that great too. Wood fire pizza delicious 😋and other dishes which is chicken meatballs - flavor bomb. Visit this place to have dinner once in Pondicherry.

Perfectly quiet ambience…. If u plan for new years vibe or any festive vibe… then this not the place…. We ordered fish steak and it was awesome … tandoori prawns were the best… my kids enjoyed the chicken popcorn…

this was the only place which let us in on 1st jan at noon. the atmosphere is very pleasing after a stroll in the scorching heat of Pondicherry. The food was great , the presentation too. I was really impressed with the mushroom cream soup (seafood add ons) . It was such a heart warming meal ❤️ The seafood Risotto was great as well. Chicken stroganoff was a bit behind but pretty good. had a great time!

This place is amazing. They have a good menu for starters and main course but a lil less for alcohol, Nevertheless the quality and taste of the food is amazing. The service is satisfactory and the ambience is very appealing. Pricing is reasonable for the quantity and the quality. The food prep time was faster than expected. Altogether this place is very good for a quiet family dinner or a friend meet over food.

Good place to have lunch and breakfast. Ordered their famous Wood Pan pizza, a 12 inch pizza size was awesome. Taste up to the mark and sufficient for 2 people.
Food was so good. We had zeppolo romano pizza, it was too good. Lamb hotpot and chicken lollipop were also tasty. Wait time was not much, they served real quick. Staff behaviour was good. Recommended.
Walked into Celine's Kitchen on a Saturday night at 8pm and was just about able to get a table (there was a line of people waiting when we left at 9:15pm). The ambience is quiet, shutting out the bustle of the streets. Very attentive service, appreciate their inputs on what to order. But the definite highlight was the food, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We had the Peas Pulao, Plain Naan, Prawn curry, Seer fish fry and Paneer Tikka. every single dish was superb, not too spicy and made with fresh ingredients. Highly recommend!
