This s always my favourite place. I have been here many times. All dishes will be delicious. It's more than 20 years old. We used to come frequently. Death by chocolate is our favourite icecream. All must try once if u like chocolate flavour. French fries is our kids fav here.

Richy Rich is famous for its exotic ice cream which comes in various flavors I tried malai kulfi and Spanish delight both were worth it with they also serve various fast food items and milkshakes.
If you are carving for ice cream or any sweet this place has a lot for you.

Crowded during evenings. Milkshakes here are the best.
Also, the cheeseburger and donuts are a must try. Very reasonable price. Restroom available.

Childhood favorite go to place for ice cream and snacks. They have a variety of must try ice-cream menu. The quality is really good. They are open up to 11, so we can never miss out trying an ice cream for the day.
One of the famous shop in Nehru Street, for the past 13 yrs ,i am a regular customer. It will be very crowded on weekends and festival holidays. I tried my 1st pizza in this shop. Ice creams are tasty . U will not get Mobile Network when you are inside the shop. Must try shop. Try both icecreams and pizza. Recommended!!! Try Falooda
One of the best ice cream Parlour in Pondicherry. It's having 4 outlets, all have wide varieties of ice creams, shakes, pastries and many food stuff. I tried hot chocolate brownie sundae, blue berry ice cream, chocolate ice cream and red sauce pasta. Sundae was full of nuts and cashews at the top. I never had this much of good red sauce pasta anywhere. It was having intense flavor of something, don't know what was that actually. But it was superb. Blue berry ice cream too having real taste of blueberries.
One of the oldest ice-cream parlors in Puducherry. There is quite a crowd especially in evenings and weekends.
The sundaes we tried were all amazing. We had the following:
1. Nutty Rainbow - lots of nuts and 3 scoops of softee.
2. Fruity Rainbow - 4 types of fruits mainly apple, litchie and cherry with 3 scoops of softie.
3. Fruit volcano - some fruits with 1 scoop of softie.
The ice-cream was yummy and fresh.
We also tried the Wedge Island sandwich with was very nice but took long to be served. It is potato wedges sandwich with thousand island mayo.
The cutlet was a big let go, it was not so fresh and very oily. Won't recommend the cutlet.
You can pay via card or UPI apart from cash.
The location on Google maps is accurate but the board is small and you need to have a keen eye. Also, the shop is inside a narrow path.
Richy Rich is one of the best brand ice cream shop in Pondicherry that has been here for decades.. from cakes to snacks and yummy icecream, would definitely recommend this place as the price is also affordable and the food has always been satisfying.

The strawberry jello topping with vanilla ice cream is good but it’s too sugary… the litchi toppings had a watery content as you can see in the picture …. The chocolate ice cream with gulab jamun was good… but the gulab jamun was very hard…
Price wise it’s very cheap…
Just like that you can try out lot of flavours …

So, every place has its own thing right, like Delhi has Karim’s, Kerala has desi cupa. Every place has their own franchise which mostly only can be found in its own state. Pondicherry has Richy rich. Over covid many of them did close down and now there are probably only 4 or 5 left. However, it doesn’t matter because you should go only to the original one, the one which is super hard to find and the first one in Pondicherry I believe.
The place has a small board and is quite hidden but it is almost always crowded and only filled with locals, you will never find a tourist over there, that how you know the place is really good.
The dessert menu is huge and the prices is very reasonable. But I would suggest getting a chocolate milkshake for Rs. 80 or add ice cream for Rs. 120. You can parcel the milkshake free of cost and take it to the beach and have it there. The place uses a machine so the milk shake is good all the time. It delivers on consistency each time. It’s what you would expect from a thick chocolate milkshake. I actually haven’t tried anything else over there cause the milkshake is so good.
This is a must not miss. Its right next to a Biba and a croc its on the ground floor only walk past the stairs and it’s a door on the right.
Best and thickest chocolate milkshake within budget. I have been a regular here since I was a kid. Still would recommend for one of the best ice creams n milkshakes
