What can I say. These people make the best pizzas within the town of Pondicherry. Please use your chilli flakes if your buying pizza's with no spice. Make sure the pizza is consumed when it's hot. Don't order if your home is too far away from the hotel unless you have an oven to reheat the pizza. It's really going to taste bland if you eat the pizza when it's lukewarm or cold.

The place is located in the market area and managed to save my day (eve rather).
I was in Puducherry celebrating my wedding anniversary when we decided to explore the night life. We ended up empty handed with most restos closed and our dinner still pending.
That is when we found this place and decided to make it our dinner spot.
The pizza (tug of war) was yummy and the dark chocolate shake was equally nice.
The decor was peppy and colorful.
Definately recommended this place.
Event hough we waited around half an hour for a pizza it was worth the wait. They serve good beverages too

It’s a bang for the bucks !! When in Pondicherry do tryyyyyy this. This peri peri chicken jumbo size pizza can serve 3 people and it costed around 550 bucks only. Those cheese fries can be a good starter and it costed 90 bucks
Had the Tokyo Drift pizza and it was very tasty and quite meat loaded. The food was good quality and value for money. The store itself is very cool with the grafitti and quirky interiors, and really creates a good vibe. This is the place to be for a good pizza.
Though the ambience was not as it looked from outside but the taste was awesome. They have all sizes for all types of hungers. Each pizza at different sizes is enough for 2. Ya it takes time as they are hand tossed and fire oven baked. But so delicious. Keep rocking guys.
The best pizza we had in Pondy, period. Not really the one to post reviews frequently, but I write this review because the pizza we ordered from here was crazy good. After trying 3 pizzas from another famous pizzeria and being disappointed, we ordered Fire cracker pizza with cheese lava from here. And it was amazing. Keep it up guys.
PS: It might not have been a fair comparison though. The three pizzas that we ordered at the other place didn't have extra cheese.Just saying.
We tried the Chicken Exotica Pizza. The quantity is extremely good, for the price. The pizza was good and flavourful. The crust was thin and light. I will like to visit again!
We had a Taca house special pizza which was regular in size but bigger than the usual places. It was very nicely baked and loaded with 4 types of chicken, mushrooms and veggies. Simply put, it was brilliant.

Tried Trio of Fries and three Pizzas: Paneer Tikka, Popeye, French Fusion. Fries trio had three flavours of fries: Classic salted, Piri Piri and Tangy Twist. It accompanied with two dips: Plain mayo and a Chipotle like sauce. Really liked Paneer Tikka and French Fusion pizzas. The latter one had fries and tomatoes as toppings. Popeye pizza wasn't that great. It was overloaded with toppings and lacked flavour. Also, I felt a pinch more salt on all pizzas would have been better.
Overall, a recommended place.

This place has one of the best pizzas in the city. The ambience is simple and sober.

Cheese Garlic Bread was too bland. One can ignore this dish.
Trio of Fries, as the name suggests, had 3 kinds of fries. One was plain salted which was golden fried. Another one was Piri Piri Fries which was the best out of all the three. The last one was seasoned fries which was quite different but good.
Cheese Blast Pizza had basil, olives and cheese. The pizza crust was thin and the pizza sauce was delicious. A basic traditional pizza taste with the freshness of the sauce and the crust.
Lala Land Pizza was loaded with cottage cheese and other veggies. The sauce was also different, made in tikka masala style. It was delicious. Must try!
Their Italian Sodas had too much sugar and artificial flavour. Definately NOT recommended. Moreover, it had zero fizz.

They use a lot of meat n vegetables on the pizza. The fries are super yummy The drinks to go with it are nice and everything is just worth it.

The first pizza outlet I visited when I came to Pondicherry. I came to know about it through Google (top places for pizza) and Taka Pizza was there. As such I came down here and I was not let down. The ambience is perfect. The staff is very good, the place is very clean. Their pizza's are baked in Wooden Fire. The taste is absolute delicious and the it is also very much pocket friendly for the students. It is a must visit for anyone who loves pizza.
Their pizzas are very tasty and budget friendly. I would recommend take way instead of dine in, because of the following reasons
1. Self service (only 1 counter, people take their own ample time to order and we have to wait until the person before us decides)
2. I see flies running inside and sits in our food and drinks.
3. Crowded
We reached exactly at 11pm which was closing time. But staff was kind enough to accept order quickly. We were amazed when we tasted the pizza. Must visit when you are in Pondicherry. Delicious thin crust pizza with fresh and good amount of toppings of your choice at a reasonable price.👍🏼
When yo ask me about Taka Pizza, the best i remember is Cool themed chairs with bright graffiti on the walls which was absolutely stunning.
So it was almost their closing time and we went ahead and ordered a dark chocolate milkshake which was tasty topped with chocolate chips and little whipped cream on top, and a Regular Fire Cracker Pizza (based on the staffs suggestion as we wanted something spicy) . I must say the crust was crisp and the pizza was delicious. Nice quantity of cheese, chicken, bell peppers and generous black olives made it great. We got all this for Rs 370

AMBIENCE : Nothing to write much about. Comfy and spacious interiors with some pretty cool wall art. Perfect for a casual diner.
FOOD: For a restaurant the food is the most important and Taka Pizza does a marvelous job at it. One of the best, if not the best pizza I've ever had Taka Pizza provides the perfect bang for your buck. We tried the Taka's House Special Pizza and and the Bacon Blast. Both were awesome to taste and loaded. We also tried a few mocktails and they were refreshing and well made.
SERVICE : Being a self service place not much to talk about but the staff were courteous and helpful.
FINAL VERDICT : If in Pondicherry this place is a must visit. Lip-smacking pizzas at affordable rates Taka deserves a try.

Went there with a huge craving for pizza. I want to say one of the best I have had so far. I have had it from all pizza joints including Papa John's , intalia and so on. But this was another experience.

Stopped by this place before leaving pondicherry. I really wanted to try their mini pizza but they won't serve mini pizza after certain time.
Got cheese garlic bread and jumbo chicken salami pizza. They serve pizza in no time with fully loaded cheese and topping. Pizza was great but garlic bread won my heart.
I couldve have them 5 stars but that place lacks cleanliness. I found flies in oregano bottle when I showed staff they said becos bottle was open. They must take care of hygiene too
Move over Xtasi! This is the place to be! Had ordered their bacon punch (or something) pizza. Shall not disappoint. The pizza was OVERFLOWING with bacon and pork cold cuts! To top that there was ample amount of cheese. After a whole day's trip to Mahabs and then Pondy this is what you gotta treat yourself to. The owner always made sure that you're eating well and she kept making us feel comfortable. 13/10 would go back!

I didn't have much expectations from this place , but boy was I wrong . I have eaten a lot of pizzas from a lot of amazing pizzerias(brik oven, pizza express(not wood fired) etc ) basically wherever I find a wood fired oven I need to try those pizzas.
I am very particular about pizzas cause a good pizza doesn't only fill your stomach but it fills your soul too.
Now coming to the pizza
We ordered a grilled lamb pizza a pepperoni pizza and a peppy pepper pizza.
The grilled lamb pizza had all kinds of amazing flavours to it and the lamb was juicy and fresh.
The pepperoni pizza was nice , but the pepperoni wasn't fresh so it was kinda dry.
The peppy pizza was generic and tasted like every other fast food pizza .
The thing I loved about this place is the crust , it was crunchy and amazing and it had a the wood fired taste to it which I love.
The shakes were thick with just the right amount of sugar.
The price they sell these pizzas at are a big plus.

Taka Pizza is located at the center of the city.
If you are looking for some nice place to have pizza, then Taka Pizza is one of the best place. I tried prawn pizza for the first time, and it was so good. The base was thin and toppings were less, but the taste was good.
The ambience is good. Bright colors have been used. Very catchy and bright entrance. Not crowded. You can park your two wheeler outside the restaurant.
Wood fired Pizza. A rustic yet modern charm to the place. Loads of toppings. That's Taka Pizza for you.
Went there for a quick pickup for our ride back to Chennai and ordered there Just Like That Vegetarian Pizza along with a serving food fries.
The Pizza was well seasoned with the toppings and was perfectly thin with that wood fired smokiness. The toppings looked fresh and did not disappoint.
The fries on the other hand were supposed to be 'cheesy' but did not have even a pinch of cheese over them in reality.
The Pizza was definitely the highlight and was gobbled up pretty soon.
The only advice I would give is try having it as hot as possible. The chewy texture of a cold pizza won't be admired by all.

If you are in Pondicherry and want to try some very good pizzas, this is the place for you.
We were looking for food recommendations for our dinner on a Sunday evening and this was among top suggestions. When we went there, we saw a lot of happy faces and almost full occupancy. The interiors are nicely done and gives you a moderne feeling.
When we look at the pizza sizes, others were having, we were in double mind if we would be able to finish or not. But ultimately, we ordered one grand Flamingo pizza after making sure that we are hungry enough to finish it. We accompanied it with 4 way garlic breads and strawberry smoothie.
When we started having it, we soon realized why does this place boast a high rating. Pizza was great and all flavours of garlic bread were amazing. Though we were full, we were still craving for more. Unfortunately, we had to call it a meal as no place left for more food in our stomach.
Also, we were cashless on entering this place but since they accepted paytm, we could enjoy a delicious meal. The price are so reasonable that you don't feel a hole in your pocket at all.
This place is also one of the hidden gems of Pondy.

One of the best places for pizzas in town ( especially their size and pricing 👌🏼). Budget friendly for a big crowd. The ambience is average still who wouldn’t want a yummy pizza with a hell lot of cheese.
What we ordered:
1) Taka’s house special - it was fully loaded with chicken and veggies. It was crunchy and yum.
2) Prawn tikka - the pizza had shrimps and chicken salami in it. People who dont like salamis might not like it. I loved it. It had a good blend of flavours. I give it a good GO.
3) margarita - was little subtle, but it was good anyway.
4) Four way garlic bread - THE BEST !! It had four garlic bread each with a kind of topping. It was delicious. I give it a gooodd GO !
5) Trio of fries - they give u 3 different flavoured fries. I liked al the three. It was crispy and light.
6) Chicken Pops - good.
I heard thier ‘Wings of fire’ is soo good. It wasn’t available wen I visited. Try it guys !!

The Taka's special in house pizza is tasty. It is thin crust wood fir pizza with generous amount of filling with 4 types chicken and zucchini, capsicum etc as mentioned in their description. Would definitely recommend this pizza to everyone.

The place is a little congested and there can be a lot of noises from another table so can't give full marks for ambience.

We also had chicken pops which were yummy and good in quantity.

First of all everything was super delicious. Best pizza place in Puducherry! Super affordable. The fries platter was the biggest I have ever seen. The medium pizza was huge and was more than enough for 2 people. Must try!
Story time: So the fries were obviously a lot for two people so we asked her to pack it for us. They not only packed it, but added an extra small box of sauce for free! Whaaattttt!! (The sauce was super duper delicious by the way. I wouldn't share it with anyone)
