I was introduced to this place by a local. And this is what I feel...
Ambience - 3.5
Service - 5
I always leave feeling happy.
Seating - 4
Food -5
It's a restaurant that serves excellent, consistent Indian food. This place never goes wrong literally, I've eaten here umpteen number of times!
Would I go back again? Hell yeah!
A good experience. Since I was staying in Pondicherry inn, hence ate here 3-4 times.
The food is good in general. Only bad thing I can remember is the roti they made. Try phulkas instead.
No complaints otherwise.
After our morning trip to Auroville we were tired and hungry enough. We were roaming around in search of restaurant and suddenly saw this though I read it's review in zomato before. So stopped and went inside.
It was 3.30 pm and too late for lunch.
We hurriedly ordered for one chicken noodles and with that chilli chicken. Lastly we ordered for a continental dish. Something named as chicken pie.
The hotel was spacious with many sitting arrangements. Even the waiters were properly dressed. The service was also quick. We didn't waited for long.
The foods were nicely cooked. Tasty it was. I was waiting for the continental and that too came out nicely and just made us full. Chicken pieces chopped nicely cooked with capsicum and spices and from top baked with mashed potato and cheese. The smell from it was yummy!
The price won't pinch u much.
Our trip to Chennai and Pondy was jinxed right from the beginning…. But in all the mess we found solace in Pondicherry Executive Inn, Food Fun Restaurant!
Our room included buffet breakfast meals, which were very good based on south indian food standards. Do not miss the sevai and Medu Wada at PEI. Restaurant Manager was really nice. This lovely hotel is run by an efficient set of staff that is impressive in their work and diligent.
This restaurant is in Executive Inn hotel, very much near to Rock beach. I liked the ambiance as well as food. I ordered Chinese and north Indian dishes both were upto the mark.. Specially North Indian food was best to have here. Prices are reasonable and quantity is quite overwhelming. Another must visit restaurant in Pondicherry.
Basement, great ambience and excellent flavours. The masala fried prawns were tender and juicy . the dragon chicken was well balanced on spices and lemon. The biryani was good but the continental dishes we way par expectations . the chicken sizzler is a must try . A good place for both vegetarian and non vegetarian delicacies .
Occupying a strategic location in the White town, having a dual layered seating arrangement and replete with a neat decor embellished by a portrait of The Mother , this multicuisine joint impresses with its novel culinary presets and quiet environment. Coming to the food proper, of what we tasted , uniquely spiced aloo chaat, tender grilled chicken sizzler and rich creamy veggie spinach and corn au gratin appealed to our tastebuds. The service lives up but the dish presentation could be improved by a few notches. Overall, a must visit for those bored of the run-of-the- mill stuff and those looking for The Mother's blessings while relishing the food at her adopted homeland.
Psst ... Do hop across the street for some BR icecreams before heading to the rock beachside for a walk to remember....
Bon Appétit my Amigos!!
Very delicious food. Do try their Masala Prawns and Spicy Rava Fish. The ambience is great for a family lunch and the staff is very attentive. Superb place for sea food.
Went to this place after going through the review on zomato and also because it was nearby. Really nice food.
We were looking for north Indian food in pondy and ordered karaai paneer and karaai veg. Both had similar gravy though expected but the taste was really good. I specifically liked the taste of tomato puree used in the gravy.
Don't forget to order butter fulka. It was awesumly. Veg kulcha also was very nice.
We ordered biryani as well. Yummy one.
Rating 4.0+ coz the service was really slow.
During my stay in Executive Inn - Pondicherry, my only immediate and easy choice was to walk downstairs to the basement for food. Given that I used to take a taste of their culinary style every morning for breakfast as it came with the room booking, I was quite impressed with the no-nonsense operational model with some real good taste.
So, occasionally I took the stairs down to the basement for a bite or have it ordered to my room. Either way, I loved the taste of the food and it became my last resort whenever I wasn't sure what to eat and where to?
The restaurant as such is very minimally laid down which includes a small mezzanine with 4-6 tables. It isn't well ventilated neither is it suffocating. Lightning is taken care by bulbs. Not much of natural light breaks in.
Bearers are really courteous and full marks to the owner for keeping this place the way it is.. Walls are covered with beautiful murals that depict scenes from a typical Rajasthani backdrop.
Order soups or appetisers or salads or tandoor, you're gonna love them for sure.
Given the reasonable price point, it wouldn't burn a hole in your pocket if you dined here.
Don't go there for the ambience since there isn't much in the offering except the hand-painted murals, but go there for some yummylicious food.
Bon appétit
Its a cool place near the beach area and serve really good food. We had ordered prawns curry and prawns pepper masala and it was yummy. Nice and clean place with very good food.
I've eaten here many times, and sampled quite a good number of their veg entrees, and I must say that their food is actually very good. You'll find a huge assortment of different flavors from the many dishes they offer. Don't expect a view or the best ambience, or al fresco dining for that matter, as they are located in the basement of the Executive Inn, but go there for the food. You won't be disappointed.
Been here many times during my 2.5 years stay in pondy. One of the safest place to try any cuisine. Never been disappointed with the food, ambience, service.
We had our lunch here. We ordered Thai prawn 🦐 curry with rice 🍚, Mix noodles and Tandoori fish (They said mahi fish), the dishes provide were tasty but the prawn was overcooked, otherwise all good. The ambience of the restaurant is also good. One must surely visit this place once. The staff were good 👍 and polite. Reasonable price. Overall it's good 👍
This a good place for bengalis who are travelling to Puducherry. Good food, fresh quality and the taste of non-vegetarian dishes are just like kolkata.
Comfort food. Try their kababs, dals, rotis and stuffed alur dam. Won't be dissapoined ever. Seekh kababs are a little dry to my liking sometimes and service is a bit slow as they prepare everything fresh once you order, but the taste will compensate for your wait for sure.
A very regular customer. Whenever it gets hard to decide where to go, this is one of the choices to visit.
Egg Manchurian is one of the best starters I have tasted please try this if you like egg. Healthy and tasty also 😋
We ordered rotis and side dishes, rice varieties and noodles. Also some starters, soups, desserts and drinks to make it a complete experience 😜
We loved the taste of all the dishes we ordered there, and if you have any special requests regarding the preparation they will happily accept to do it if possible.
The menu mentions mocktails on the last page but it is juice I would say because there is not much mix.
The overall experience was good, Thank you 😊
The food was just way too good .. worth all the money..
We tried paneer tikka for starters, misty mojito and ice tea.. for main course we had dal makhani, tandoori butter roti and tawa phulka..
The authentic taste of every dish was well maintained and the staff did justice to the dish with beautiful presentation.
The staff is very co-operative and polite and overall service is very nice.
The ambience of the restraunt is very simple and positive with minimalistic decor over the place, hence giving a very soothing and pleasant feel.
When visiting pondicherry, one must visit this place and try the food.
The food was good, but the place was also good and the staff were very well behaved.
Relaxed quiet ambience at this restaurant in the basement of the Executive Inn restaurant. Recommend their Indian cuisine but continental wasn't as good.. the pasta pomodoro was too tomato ketchupy and lacked any distinctive flavor. The breakfast buffet was good and service spot on.
Fish and chips was pretty good, the prices are on the expensive end a little bit. The taste was good. Portions are decent. If only the prices are slightly reduced it'll be a 5 star.
Very good comfort Indian food. Light and fulfilling.
Very nice hotel for stay, very clean with good ambience, we got complimentary breakfast which has varieties and taste is also good.... Staff also cooperated very well, overall had very good experience in this hotel I will definitely recommend this to all couples and family to visit and stay have fun and enjoy I can rate 9/10....truely satisfied 😊🙏.
Resturant is well maintained. You could find both veg and non veg option there..Food is tasty and hygienic. We enjoyed our food during stay.. I would say price is bit higher but if we talk about hygiene then it's worth for money during this pandemic period.
Multi cuisine in real sense. Tried out continental and Indian dishes. All were good. Perhaps tandoori chicken items tried out by my friends could be a bit more succulent and juicy. Prompt service. Very courteous staff.
Excellent food .Great quantity n quality .Being prepared on order, it takes time to serve close to 20 minutes .should definitely try pepper chicken semi gravy n chicken noodles which ordered and was excellent . The staffs are polite .
The place is in the middle of the town and provides good food tastes. No doubt it takes time to serve.
The staff was good and welcoming. I ordered one virgin mojito and one grilled fish with salad. It was one of the best meals of my life. Totally worth the money.
We had our lunch here, the dishes provide were tasty and the sufficient amount provided. The ambience of the restaurant is also good. One must surely visit this place once. The staffs here are also good and also helps us suggesting the great food available there.
Service was exemplary, Ambience was nostalgic ,felt like dining in 1990' s restaurant. Food tasted good and it's one of the few non veg places which doesn't serve alcohol in pudhucherry so if you're are with family, this is the place to dine in.
