Best place for Biriyani.. Since the time I lived here , I had only twice their Biriyani and last Sunday My bro , My sis in law and I were soo damn hungry after walking and shopping in and around Heritage Town and while going back to our Car , We wanted to eat something and we popped into this place as we were standing closer to this place . By the time we went (10:00pm) the Biriyani got over 😔 so we ended having regular items. We had Kothu parotta, Wheat Parotta , Chicken Masala and Chicken 65 ..
All the items were delivered Hot and Fresh and all the items tastes Sooo good . And we also ordered for Lemon Juice but the Worst part is They don’t bloody Mix the Salt and Sweet .. This is actually My for time in a restaurant where they say We only give One damn flavour, either Salt or Sweet .. I mean , C’mon . we ain’t living in the 80s . That’s actually a Drawback cuz the Lemon Juice was Freaking Sweet to my taste buds ..
Will go again for Biriyani before I leave .
I recommend this place if u like BUHARI .. I consider this place as Pondy’s Buhari ..
Yet another local favorite. They are known for their Mutton Samosas and Biryani. They have hiked the price of those tiny somosas to a Himalayan level though. Try their mixed noodles and fish fingers. They are damn good.
Good place to hang out for lunch when you go to Pondicherry with your friends and family! Aristo restaurant had a variety of dishes which you can try it out at a lower price! Do visit this place when you to Pondicherry!

Good food- veg noodles and egg kuthu paratha
Quick service - no compromise on taste
Good quantity- enough for 2 with good appetite
Easy to access- inside a market on a busy road
Family room, Rest room too
Overall a good place to eat when in rush and starving.

This place speaks for its taste…
Mutton briyani was awesome…
Parotta and white korma was delicious
Chicken lollipop n fish tikka was excellent…
Loved the sizzling brownie with ice cream…
The orders were delivered too quickly except for the tikka…
Must visit…
Highly recommended…
A very old restaurant in Pondicherry, mutton masala, wheat parota and tutifruity icecream are the best. Biriyani is okaish, fish finger is also good but malai tikka was bad, very tiny pieces and dry and no flavour at all.
One of my favourite places in Pondicherry...
Food is great here with a good atmosphere, Old touch ambience lovable..
Aristo hotel started in early 90s. Briyani is extraordinary...
Food was great. One thing to inspect. My order was taken by an old waiter, but bill was produced by someone else. When I gave tips to the old man, he looks scared. I guess the other guys are snatching it from him.
Management - please look into this matter

Had visited this place decades back and felt that they had maintained their quality and taste of food so well all along these years. All-time favorite go to place.
Hotel ambience and environment looks very great. They have both veg and non veg food items and Chinese menu as well.
Food is excellent. They have improved on service considerably. The ambience and cleanliness can be improved upon!
"Chicken Khow Suey" -- Had this, seriously top-notch. Must try this. Was delicious too. Alhamdulillah, thank you for introducing all such foods in Halal way. :) :)
Old and best hotel in Pondicherry, non veg foods are mainly people looking at this restaurant
Now it's renovated and same cool ambience was back
Indian, Chinese,Burmese foods are served here, all foods are halal
They also working for new party hall for functions
Non veg lovers should try this
i order falooda but they served somethingwith a name tuti fruti. I dont like that type of serving. ..
Pondicherry's very own restaurant. I have been dining here for more than 40 years!
In earlier days, Aristo and Indian Coffee House would be on top of the list in almost all tourist guides.
Nowadays, influenced by money, most guides show different places.
But trust my word, the quality of food is best at Aristo. Go and eat and you wont have any regrets.
Better prefer the restaurant downstairs and not the roof garden. You will find more experienced staff in the ground floor restaurant.
Newly renovated restaurant with same old great taste... avoid during peak hours as services are delayed......no option for card payment....gpay has issues due to lack of network coverage inside restaurant... Better carry cash.....
Must try
Biriyani
Parota
Faloda
Grape juice
Samosa
