Went to this place on weekends.. there was a huge queue. But the service was super quick. We got table and the staff was polite. Great food options. Loved the chiken tikka, dal makhani and paneer tikka.Gulab jamun presented in cone with ice cream was super tasty.

The Urban Foundry is a well known place located in balewadi high streets which has a indoor and outdoor seating with loud music, the outdoor seating is basically a smoking area where you can sit and chill with good food, drink and a smoke with loud music.
The service of this restaurant is quick and really accurate, the order comes on your table on time and as soon as you finish eating the used plates are immediately picked up by the staff, these things will definitely give you a high standard experience with good food.
Coming on to the food which i tried here:
1)BURAN GOSHT BOTI:This was boneless mutton pieces coated with a thick and tangy sauce and was topped with melted cheese, was served with strips of paratha, the mutton was soft and we'll cooked, the tangy flavour came really good on palate and the melted cheese helped to reduce the dominant flavour tangy flavour which made a dish a complete balance in terms of flavours.
2)THAI CHICKEN THAI:A huge boneless chicken pieces tossed and marinated in thai spices, the chicken was well cooked and the flavours were mild and subtle, however the dish could have been more strong in flavour which would have made it much better.
3)BUTTER CHICKEN:The butter chicken was served with two butter naans as per the requirement, the butter chicken gravy was rich, creamy with slight sweetness and tangy flavour, the chicken was boneless and cooked in tandoor, you can ask butter chicken with roti, garlic naan as per your requirement.
4)CHICKEN BIRYANI:The presentation of chicken biryani was too good and innovative, it was served in a small cooker with raita made of curd, the biryani was topped with fried onions and had soft and moist chicken pieces, the masala in biryani was creamy and tangy with a flavour of ground spices, the rice in biryani was moist and fluffy, it was a good biryani with flavours and textures.
5)Nutella cheesecake:The cheesecake was soft and light with creamy flavour, the middle part of the cheesecake was layered with Nutella and the cheesecake was topped with Nutella scoop and was sprinkled with white chocolate, the sweetness was balanced, the dish was super good.

Balewadi High Street, as we all know is a go-to destination on the west of Pune. There are many good places to eat on the premises but this one has caught my interest lately. I’ve been here twice in a row and very impressed by the ambience and quality of food served.
To begin with, the industrial design makes this place stand out from the rest of the bars in terms of ambience. The cutlery too gives a very rustic feel to the whole experience. The crew is very courteous and prompt to support while you order. The service is quick, however I visited the place during lunch hours on weekdays on both occasions so I’m really not sure how the customers are handled during peak weekend evening hours.
A couple of dishes I’d like to mention as a recommendation from my end are the Thai Chicken Thai, Mutton Keema Bati, Mutton Seekh Kebab and the Chicken Popcorns. In my two visits I tried almost everything present on the non veg list of items but the ones mentioned totally blew me over.
I’d definitely like to recommend this place if you’re around the High Street. Two thumbs up 😊👍🏼👍🏼

With an indoor and outdoor seating space and quirky ambience this place can be your regular spot to unwind with your folks! The cocktails here are very interesting and will give you a good high.

•Tandoori Chicken Momos- big sized momos stuffed with chicken and served with a different styled red chutney! These make for a perfect bar bite. #highlyrecommend
•Desi Nachos- very cheesy! Go for it if you are fond of cheese!
•Mushroom Chilly Pizza- loved the pizza base and sauce but the topping could have been better.
•Thai High Chicken- this is one of their best sellers! Superb presentation and even better taste. #highlyrecommend
•Chuza Makhanwala- Chicken gravy served with butter naan/rice! Extremely delicious and flavourful. #highlyrecommend
•Chotasa Chocolate Cake- perfect slice of cake to end your meal.

INTRODUCTION
Urban Foundry is quiet an old place located at one of the happening places in Pune that is the Balewadi High Street. This place serves mostly Continental and Modern Indian Food. The Ambience of the place justifies its name, it has Urban Vibe to it. They have Indoor as well as Outdoor seating.
BEVERAGES
Apple Mojito
This was a not alcoholic drink. It was a flavoured virgin mojito. This was having some apple juice along with some lime juice and mint. This was topped with some soda. The sweetness was also in limit which made it more enjoyable to drink.
Thai Mojit-A-Rita
This was mix of two classic drinks that is the mojito and margarita. Fusion of these two rum based cocktails made a nice citrusy a bit fruity drink. It had good amount of alcohol to it which made it quite strong cocktail.
The Whisky Smash
This was a whisky based cocktail having more fruity taste. This was having some orange juice and passion fruit juice into it along with some mint and bitters. It had nice sweet fruit punch and the whisky bitterness hits you hard, another well balanced drink.
The Qube
This was a vodka-based cocktail having prominent taste of orange juice along with some sparkling wine. Adding wine balanced out the vodka bitterness but kept the punch of the alcohol which a cocktail should deliver. They also used a orange cut into shape of the cube for garnish.
Smokey New York Sour
Its was their take on the classic New York Sour Cocktail. They definitely took this cocktail to next level. This was also a whiskey-based cocktail mixed with some lime and orange juice and this was topped with some red wine. To this they gave a smoke of apple wood. This gave a nice fragrance to the drink as well as a Smokey taste to it too.
FOOD
Spinach Cheese Pops
Cheese poppers is a common thing but adding some spinach to it makes its completely different dish. The spinach puree was added to the batter and then fried. The outer crust was crisp and inside was the molten cheese. As soon as you pop the poppers the cheese rushes out. Having good amount of cheese which did not supressed the taste of the spinach, balancing both things is really different.
Chicken Kasundi Tangdi
Kasundi is a sauce made from some tomatoes vinegar some garlic and a prominent taste of the mustards seed. This all ingredients are grinded into fine paste which is called kasundi. This sauce was used to marinate the chicken legs. These legs were the charred in charcoal. These chicken legs were tender and juicy. It was also having a prominent taste of mustard to it.
Chicken Thepla Tacos
This was one of the fusions I had. This was fusion of gujurati, north indian and Mexican food together. Each element of this dish had a distinguish taste like the thepla tasted some like home made thepla which had a prominent taste of the fenugreek. The chicken inside was smoked chicken which was mixed a rich curry sauce. To add Mexican touch some salsa and mayo. Amalgamation of this flavours made an explosion of flavours in mouth. This was really extra-ordinary dish.
Chettinad Chicken Pizza
This was also a fusion of Italian with South Indian food. The chicken was cooked with the chettinad masala. The chettinad masala is of red chillies and whole garam masala spices and some curry leaves. The crust of pizza was extremely thin. The pizza also had good amount of cheese and chicken to it.
DESSERT
Red Velvet Kulfi Duet
This was kulfi duet having one kulfi made of mascarpone cheese which was covered with red velvet cake crumble. And the other kulfi was of red velvet flavour. The only thing was I dint like was it was over freeze which made formation of ice crystal which ruined the flavour of both the kulfi. Little temperature control would make it an amazing kulfi.
VERDICT
This place has really cool urban vibe to it. The fusion food over here really amazing. The cocktails were amazing. They have really amazing offer going all day long. The pricing of food is fair enough looking at the quality of the food. This is one of the must visit place for some great food and drinks.

A urban or New era castle where great recipies are marked and curated to make them last forever with you . They have created some inmovation in thier working space and this was a wonderful ride to have them at our table .

Recently visiting the Balewadi outlet we felt like entering a mining station with such an Ambivert Architecture all round with great wooden tables , bricked walls , cement handlings , Large wheels moving to make it look appealing and extra ordinary . All the things make us feel like we are in a castle , each of the things are placed right and perfect to give an great ambience to the outlet .

Mocktails : Now talking about the food starting with great drinks to beat this weather . We had the Gulaabo named drink with Kokum syrup , crushed black salt and lime topped with soda . The kokum used to swirl and make you fresh in and out . The black salt had a trick to male an instant tinch to your body .
We also had the chatpata float made from kala khatta the black syrup and topped with vanilla ice cream to mix match colour and bakance the taste at same time .
Very berry was a subtle drink made from mix berry syrup and topped to soda .

Appetizer : The most interesting part were their presentation in the appetizer . The most innovative and enchanting loudly with their look , made them luscious and make your mouth full of water .
Had their famous Thai hummus and lavash sticks with Pita breads . Thai hummus made from regular hummus base and topped it with thai sauce . The lavash sticks were crisp , long and had a good crunch with it , pita breads were soft , warm and circular discs to have them easily .
A long stick came with hanged on a wooden cutout woth a plate beneath it . The pieces of soya chaap were hanged onto it . The soya chaap wasa marinated good and cooked in tandoor to give it a great taste . Had a portion of salad and freshly prepared green chutney to be combined with .

Recommended : To the chef recommendation part we had their thin based , crunchy and enormously large Nukkad style veg pizza . The rectangular shaped thin based , crunchiest pizza with tangy salsa made from tomatoes , onions and Green capsicum made it all the way to have it to the fullest . The cheese on it could have been a little less amd also the ketchup on top , but was treat to have it off .

Main course : As we know the best nkrth indian food is from punjab , so we had Amritsari style dhabe da paneer and Butter roti with dash of salad . The gravy could be more spicier as per out tastebuds , roti was perfect and salad had a great hint of lime to make it tangy . The quantity of the dish was heavy and can have between 2 of them . We can recommend to go for Dal makhni as well if you're in mood to have heavy meal .

Desserts : The only option that had no eggs and No Alcohol was to be chosen from , so we had this Red velvet duet kulfi . The malai kulfi with rose taste and a Red velvet kulfi with great thick cream in it . The dish looked so adorable and also had a great presentation in silver plate which was like cherry on the top . The dessert was so delicious and had a great soothing effect at last to end the meal at higher note .
Due to less dessert options we choosed to go for Choco bolt shake , dark chocolate crushed , mixed with milk , cream , chocolate and blended together to give single lining thick shake . Topped with gems , Chocolate scraps , bourbon buiscits and a great view for all chocolate lovers .

The Urban Foundry which has always been my choice when I want to enjoy some Desi khana with a twist! Absolutely love this Foundry themed restaurant which has beautiful indoor & outdoor seatings with walls filled with quirky quotes!
I decide to enjoy my Friday lunch here & started by ordered some mocktails, namely Smooth & Slender which is watermelon based and Gulaabo which is kokum based! Both of them equally refreshing & balanced on flavours which went perfectly well along with our food! For starters, I ordered Spicy Sichuan Chuza Lollipops which is now my favorite dish here! The spiciness is just correct with the gravish consistency of the dish it makes you want more of it! Cheesy Bharwaan Aloo is subtle in taste & the stuffed veggies give it a crunch while the Masala Pav is truly sinful with masaledaar Pav Bhaji & overload of cheese!
For mains,we ordered Tandoor Chicken Tikka Pizza which had an overdose of chicken pieces and cheese which balanced out each other's taste & the thin crust made me hog on the Pizza! Chicken Massaman Curry is comfort food goals and I thoroughly enjoyed it's subtle taste!
Ended my meal with Chocolate Cookie Dough with Bailey's shot which made me cry with happiness! Puring Bailey's over the cookie dough and vanilla icecream makes it so sinful & indulging in it made it worth every bite!
All in all,Urban Foundry has been added to my 'Favourites Of Pune' and I look forward to visit here, time & again!

Been to Urban Foundry in the afternoon for some food and drinks.
Urban is one of the most happening places on BHS.
Just one thing that concerns me is the service. I was there at afternoon last time do the service was good but the service gets too slow in the rush hours and the management has to work upon that.
The Drink menu is elaborated well which makes you choose and make the right choice.
Went with a cocktail called THE QUBE and absolutely loved it. The cocktail was Vodka Base, having orange juice and a orange ice cube. Recommending this for ladies out there.. you guys will definitely love this one!
Food menu is quite versatile.
I loved the Chicken Vada Pav.
The taste was like the one we have on thellas.
The Vada Pav was served with mint and tamarind dip.. and the presentation was fancy af for a Vada Pav.
Chicken Koyla Kebab was another hit .
The Chicken Marinated with edible charcoal and cooked to the perfection.
Loved the presentation.
The meat was fresh, tender and soft.
I would love to explore the more from the menu here!

This was the first place I visited in Pune. The ambience is good with both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. Outside seating and not very loud music was a great setting to chill with friends. The inside area appeared dimly lit. Soya chaap and Chicken koyla kabab were a great accompaniment with drinks. LIIT stood high on a wooden stand, I loved the LIIT tall glasses. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. They were very accomodative to modify my LIIT as per my requirement. A pleasant experience overall and i was delighted to see offers on drinks during happy hours 🤪
Love this place for the Ambience. Hands down one of the best vibes here. The drinks are always top notch. Only wish is they maintain consistency of food taste which varies slightly from time to time.. still this is one of our fave restnts. One of the best places to have some amazing food. I'm a vegetarian so naturally that lowers down the options that I've tried there, still, it's in top 3 places for me in Pune to spend some quality time. Food is amazing (red thai curry and jasmine rice, spinach cheese pops - my brother lives in Germany so he's already desperate for indian food and he started crying after just a bite of these little drops of heaven as he found them so so good). And Drinks, man-o-man, the drinks are amazing, seriously the presentation of serving the food and drinks to the different mix and match of cocktail, all of them is just fabulous. I'll recommend this place to anyone who's looking forward to have some food in Pune. (I haven't found many places where i get good food in Pune)

Tasty food, amazing service, quirky ambience and reasonably priced food. The best thing i liked was the consideration they have given to us ladies, meaning no more squatting required when using the loo, they have installed safe seats in the toilets.
One of the best place to enjoy Indian and Asian flavours with a contemporary twist. What I love is that it’s an all day eatery and bar so you can visit it whenever you’re hungry or craving a good cocktail. The food has perfectly blended ingredients for a combination of comfort food and fine dine. Highly recommended.
