All the good reviews that I have read about this property are true. Although I didn't go into the onsite restaurant, I ordered some food at home. The food was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. I highly recommend it.✨
One of the oldest and the must visit place for biryani lovers. No one can deny the fact the taste has bit degraded as it was decade ago. But still it is one of the must visit place for non veg food lovers. Their mutton seekh kabab and chicken biryani is worth a try
Amazing quantity with good quality food. Love their Biryani. The butter chicken is good too. Should try it sometime.
Always enjoy the food here , it is crowded everytime over the restaurant but the quality surely makes us understand why . Must tries are Biryanis, tandoors , butter chicken 🐓 .
Hv been visiting here since long..both the mutton and chicken biryani are good..but i would go chicken biryani here...it is very tasty and less oily..my daddy's favourite restaurant frm his childhood to hv biryani here.
Ordered Chicken Biryani. Filled with juicy chicken along with proper, sufficient and tasty dum masala. Blue Nile biryani never disappoints.
Ordered chicken dum biriyani. It was delicious. Loved the flavours. The portion size was great too. This might be one of Pune’s best biriyanis.
If u stay in pune blue nile hotel is must visit hotel
One of the bestest nonveg hotels in pune
I visited blue nile with my family and whenever i go chicken tandoori and Biryani is fixed from my side cuz i has a great taste
One thing u ll notice whenever ua outside the hotel the aroma of food is so good that u cant stop yourself from going inside the hotel
Proper sitting arrangement are made and staff is really very polite and service is the best service u ll get
Ibn Battuta, the famous Moroccan traveller has mentioned that Kebab was an integral part of the daily diet of Indian royalty as early as 1200 AD. No wonder the Afghan plunderers and invaders brought it to the Indian kitchens long before the Mughals ventured in.

If it's about Irani-style chicken biryani with a plate of rich and spicy mutton chilly fry, nothing beats the legendary, Blue Nile restaurant..
.
Established in the early 1960s, the restaurant was initially named Nanking Cafe. Over five decades, Blue Nile rose to the fame it boasts of now! With its retro Indian ambience, wooden furniture and spacious dining halls, eating here is close to a tradition that has been going strong through generations.

Must visit place for biryani lovers, proper mughlai biryani. I also loved the kebabs🤝
Blue Nile Motton Biryani is Nice and Tasty 😜😜😜
Chicken biryani at blue Nile is by far the most authentic birthday i have ever tasted in pune. Mild on spices as it should be unlike any other restaurants. Chicken tikka masala was damn good, but i did miss the good old imperial ambience as the place has been renovated however the taste and quality hasn't changed a bit!!
This restaurant was on my bucket list because I had heard a lot about them from my father who used to frequent this place when he used to live in Pune during 1980s.
I tried, Chicken Biryani , Egg masala, Butter Naan and Veg Raita.
I was surprised to see all this come in just 7-8 minutes.
I just loved the chicken biryani. For people who prefer boneless biryani, you can opt for that too. If anyone wants Arabic favour ( no spicy) biryani, you can order Irani Biryani.
The restaurant also serves kebabs and Chinese food. But I would recommend that one should stick to kebabs, biryani and Indian curries only.
My Overall rating is
1. Service: 5/5
2. Food (quantity): 5/5
3. Food ( quality): 5/5 - Fresh chicken and eggs, lovely naan
4.Pricing : 5/5
5. Food Options : 4/5
6. Ambiance : 4/5 - Its clean and hygienic , nothing fancy
This is family and large group friendly place. No Alcoholic beverages available
The best Biryani I can say about this place very nice and cooperative staff and we'll mannered
I had visited this place once I wish to visit it again. Chicken tandoori is amazing and the ambiance is great. It is a lively place nad has a vast menu to choose from.
After almost a years we went for dinner to Blue Nile tonight. I was pleasantly surprised to see totally renovated place. Ordered our usual Tandoori chicken, Mutton seekh & chicken Biryani. The service was very prompt and staff friendly. Every visit to India I have list of restaurants I make sure to visit and Blue Nile is one of them.
For me, going to Camp and not eating at Blue Nile or George is unfathomable.
I was really tempted to try the new kid on the block “Khau Gully” today but postponed it for another day as the car steering automatically veered towards Blue Nile.
Spanking new clean interiors, same taste of the Biryanis..
Mutton Biryani and Chicken Biryani, both were fantastic. Long grain rice, not heavy on Masalas. Fresh Lime Soda for the fizz. Always a pleasure coming here.

Tasty, healthy and awesome food. Floor management is top of the notch.
Visited Blue Nile for lunch. The interiors are nicely done. As they are redoing the upper floor, there was decent amount of noise but you will not notice it, once the food gets delivered.
We ordered, mutton biryani, veg-raita for the mains and caramel custard along with malai kulfi for desserts. The biryani was supremely delicious. Very subtle use of masala and tender pieces of mutton, loved it. The portion is perfect as well. Veg-raita perfectly complimented the biryani. This was the first time, I tried caramel custard and it just melted in my mouth. Malai kulfi also acted like a computer engineer and just "copied" the action of caramel custard i.e. another melting action. Phew!!! BTW, it was one of the best kulfi that I'd in Pune (In fact, it reminded me of Basant Kulfi @ Fieldganj in Ludhiana :P).
Service was super duper quick. In fact, there was a time when I could feel the pressure of quickly finishing up the use of finger bowl. :D
Overall:
Food: 4/5
Ambiance: 4/5
Service: 4.5/5
Value For Money: 4/5
All the best to the team. May you continue to serve delicious food and stay legendary!
GREAT RESTAURANT!!! One should always try their food. The waiters and the people serving food are too amicable which all the more makes it an amazing dining place.
Best place for biryani lovers Starters Chicken tikka 5/5 Chicken tandoori 3/5 Chicken Resmhi kebab 4/5 Chicken biryani * Only Medium spicy* 3.5/5 Mutton biryani 4/5 Veg Pulav 3.5/5 Service was excellent 5*/5 The best thing you should have while visiting here is Chicken tikka and Mutton Biryani ! You will love the service and the speed ! Sure your hunger won't have to wait more! They even have parcel counter outside the resto
Blue Nile is best known for there good Nonveg food So after long back I've visited this restaurant located at camp.Best known for Dine place was crowded due to weekend both downstairs and upstairs were occupied and it was good family place.I ordered Tangdi kabab in starter which was served within 5min service was so quick Tangdi kebab was well cooked with spices and condiments it was tasty though and I had there speciality Blue nile chicken which was cooked with medium spices with thick gravy and egg gravy was perfectly balanced with spices and was light .I like the way they cook egg which was boiled without the outer shell of egg which is served on the top of the gravy I had this with Butter Nan which was perfect combo.Staff was polite everything was good but I found that the water glasses was very smelly that thing I didn't like about it.
Many times we visited this place. It is one of the oldest restaurant. Newly renovated with swanky interior, ample space.
We ordered Chicken Tangadi Kabab, Tandoori chicken and chicken biryani. Taste and service is good. Ample space for parking also wallet car parking is available. Good experience.

I had read about a few not so good experience s of this place but that wasn't a deterrent for me to visit my favourite place.
This has been mine and my friend's favourite place since ages and we have friends have never been disappointed till date - be it dine in or a take-away service.
#BlueNile - They are in the process of renovation - nevertheless clean place, decent seatings - upstairs and downstairs, quick service and all that we ordered were perfect.
We ordered -
Masala Papad - nicely garnished
Fresh lime sodas
Mutton Biryanis - Mild spicy one's - just the perfect mildly spiced one and generous mutton pieces - the mutton fall off the bone - wow - love it !
Mutton seekh kabab s - nicely done, well marinated and topped with fresh mint n an equally fresh tasty green chutney - Awesome is the word.
Caramel custard - Just the perfect sweetness, loved each bite ...yumm
A lovely experience as always - Touchwood :)
Really liked the food and enjoyed their Tandoori Fish. Exquisite spices and great flavour. Also tried the Mutton kebab, which had large quantity and was perfectly cooked. Would definitely go there again for the kebabs.
This used to be my regular eat out place since my college days. I visited this place after 7 years and to to my surprise the interior is completely and revamped with new interior and updated menu. Gone are the days when there was lot of Hustle and bustle of different kinds of people around, with the waiters running with the orders and providing the best impeccable service and making sure they listen to all the customers accurately and provide the correct food despite the noisy atmosphere. Well all that has gone now, the atmosphere is quiet and the orders are taken on a tablet, the lamination advertisement specially meant for college students is no more, the pocket friendly menu or combo is also taken off. Despite so many changes Blue Nile is yet keeping its authentic taste same for years successfully, although there are so many changes at this restaurant their great service is same and so is the taste. As they say, somethings never change! 👌🙂👌 I would love to visit here often without giving such a long gap like I did now!!
So the look, feel and overall ambience isn't quite I expected. Later after taking a seat I observed that there is some construction going on due to which it's just a wide hall open to dining!
I checked some reviews on Zomato before heading but wanted to try something different (in mughlai, ofcourse)
Ordered a masala papad which was nice and crunch, the tagdi kabab is served with malai which was not told to us by the waiter while placing the order, so when our meal arrived and we complained of not being informed, it was immediately replaced with flavoursome spice, simply irresistible and much appreciated service. Then came the chicken tikka masala which again had it's own unique aura and so tempting that I missed out on clicking that one. The butter naaan with the gravy is the apt combination for a wholesome meal for 2!
Overall, the food does complete justice to the restaurant's inception over the years!
Each and every time taste is well maintain. tried chicken tandoor and chicken kolhapri. great is authentic and tasty. I like chicken kolhapri. ambiance is very good. service here is very good n quick.
Since we're from Mumbai and new to the Pune Food Scene, Blue Nile was close to where we put up and everyone raved about this Restaurant being an institution serving Biryani.
We tried the Chicken Biryani and it was surely decent to say the least. The meat was soft and tasty.
The caramel custard was heavy and didn't seem very light to eat. Have had far superior ones in Mumbai.
Have had better biryanis elsewhere but overall a decent bet.
Bon Appetit :)
Yum biryani and tandoori
Go for it
Lovely preparation and full authenticity of the food. Every piece of meat was very properly cooked. Its like a heaven for non veg lovers, a must try
Nostalgia pulls you to certain places and Blue Nile in Camp is one of them.
My first exposure to Chicken was here back in 2004.
I was a simple veggie eating Brahmin Boy till then but sher ke moonh pe khoon lag gaya to usko rokna mushkil hota hai.
Was in Camp to collect something and happened to be passing by Blue Nile when I saw a board that they’d shifted next door into a new place.
The new place has Swanky Interiors of a fine dine unlike the old style cafe look of the older version.
Our order is generally fixed, Mutton Seekh Kebab and Chicken Biryani.
A fresh lime soda to keep things going.
Good experience, especially in a cleaner, air conditioned environment.
So I heard about this place after coming all the way from Mumbai and dropped in on the day 1!
Whatsoever we had was so good that I’m confused how to express, especially the seekh kebab and chicken biryani were authentic the biryani masala was too yum! Ended up with a sweet caramel custard ♥️
They just need to improve the service!

Blue nile is one the popular restaurant in Pune hence made plan for lunch visit yesterday. Restaurant was completely packed and had to wait for few minutes, waiting was politely handled and made comfortable till table allocation. Service is really quick and staff was gentle. Managers enquires on meal satisfaction and make sure all guests have good experience. In terms of food quality it was good but not outstanding, tried lamb biryani which was average with excessive oil. Overall I recommend to experience this restaurant as they keep on their reputation.
I recently ordered from Blue Nile. The delivery was quick and the packaging was impeccable.
We ordered-
▪️ Butter Chicken
▪️ Tandoori Roti
The taste was really good. We totally enjoyed the meal. Looking forward to try the rest of the menu and visit the outlet soon.
This is one of the oldest restaurants located opp to Dastur Schools in Pune Camp. This serves some great mughal food. They are really famous for their biryani and seekh kebabs.
Biryani
Chicken biryani was having a great garam masala taste to it. It masala was having good amount of onions to it too. The chicken was cooked perfectly too.
Seekh Kebab.
The seekh kebab were huge in size. The seekh kebab was made from mutton mince. The mutton was grounded into a fine mince. This was mixed with some masala and then charred on the charcoal. The kebab were tender and juicy.
Very good restaurant. Extremely good service and fast service. Great food. Recommend this restaurant to every Mughlai lover. There is ample sitting place and the ambience is also good. Ordered Tandoori Chicken, Reshmi Kebab, Tandoor Pomphret and Fish Fried Rice. Fish Fried Rice was too oily and not up to the mark and is not recommended. Overall, very fast service and a great place to eat non-veg.
One of the oldest restaurants in camp area, famous for its biryani options. Try their mutton and chicken biryani .
For starters the kebabs are a good option. Their service is quite prompt and quick. Normally there is a rush here, try calling ahead. Kulfi to end it off.
This was like one of the first restaurants we visited when we moved to Pune over 20 years ago, and still do to this day.
Biryani over here is legendary, so much that there are many celebrities who order parcels from here all the way to their five star hotels.
Service is also very good. The staff if very friendly and forthcoming, they make you feel at home instantly.
We just love this place .All egg biryani chicken biryani is very very tasty. All chicken gravy is also testy here .They also restructured the ambiance and now it's very serious
Old charm of Pune, now with a renovated new look and decoration. All time favourite place for Mughlai cuisine. Lovely delicious soft mutton sheekh kabab and best tandoori roti in Pune.
This was my all time favourite. But had not visited since a long time. It was good to see the upgration in their ambience. Great work. Cleanliness and the people working there are well mannered. Food is very good. We had chicken tandoori and chicken biryani. But I have just one complaint. More of a request actually. Please stop using plastic straw. I hope someone reads it and takes up with the change.
Blue Nile has always been one of my go-to places for Persian/Indian cuisine. The different kababs and biryani is a must try.
I think that the hotel blue Nile this is 100 star hotel
Wonderful, extremely tasty,at a budget,in few money a large food , all dishes are tasty and hot less

The food here is nothing short of lip-smacking. Order anything on the menu and you won't be disappointed with your choice. Not to mention their blazing fast service. The ambience is not something one would talk about, but the food pretty much makes up for it. In the same breath, can't miss to mention the mutton biryani. A must-visit for meat lovers!

Visited this place with a bunch of friends for dinner and we were not disappointed with the service or the food served. Great service and hospitality
We ordered for chicken legs that turned out to be pretty delicious, it is worth a try! We also ordered chicken seekh and pudding which were like every other restaurant. The gravy and naan were also good. It is a very favorable place for mughlai lovers.
The chicken biryani is the best. I would personally recommend their mutton Kathi roll, it’s the best I’ve had. Their caramel custard is also too good. I’ve seen blue Nile grow. It’s crowded now and has maintained its quality. A good place to dine with family.
A legendary restaurant for biryani lovers. The Iranian taste of all dishes is quite good for taste buds.
We had kebabs, chicken biryani and other chicken dishes. All were tasty.
Even Turkish ice cream and it's serving is good. At the counter they kept some cakes and pastries for open sale. The chocolate and mava cakes are best.
Selected this restaurant based on various recommendations and Google reviews. Located in a prime location and well maintained. Lots of seating arrangements including outdoor available, so we didn't have to wait even on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered Rotisserie chicken, tandoori chicken and pomfret fish fry and fresh lime soda. All items were delivered within 5 min of ordering. All were good but a bit less spicy. We had Caramel custard as desert which was good. Bill was around 1750.
One suggestion- when the items are less spicy, you can make green chutney a bit Spicier. Thanks
Good food, great value for money. They have redone the ambience well. Service is prompt and the most surprising part is the speed at which they deliver the parcel or take out. Indeed, goes without saying, it's amongst the best places for non-veg food.
Top notch service and nice ambiance. Love their mutton biriyani and custard caramel. It’s a great place for non veg lovers.
One of the very best dining experience ever. Taste is very exceptional. Service was could be better but overall q very good hotel. Not too expensive too. But, Avoid if you are a non vegetarians pious dharmik as this place serves Halal food. Vegetarian food is all good to go.
Went here for a quick bite.. Tried their Chicken Keema and Grilled Sandwich.. The sandwich was decent, felt a bit underwhelming, but that's alright.. The main star was Chicken Keema.. It was delicious.. Although the prices are a little more in comparison, the food seemed to be good.. This restaurant has been on my wishlist for quite a while now.. The food seems good, service is reasonably fast, the ambience is good, dining space seems a bit cramped up though.. Even though I only had these couple of dishes, I'd recommend the place..
Ordered One plate Cheloh Kebab & one plate Jujeh Kebab. This is the best and closest we can get what we eat in Iran. Lovely food and this is the oldest eatery serving the same authentic food. Loved it!
The place is always filled with people on weekends and the waiting period is too long. But it’s all worth it when you taste their food. The taste is worth the amount you pay here.
The food taste and quality is worth mentioning. Tried mutton seekh kebab and chicken tikka biryani. Service by waiter or any attendee is kind and disciplined. Cleanliness is maintained throughout the premises along with washrooms. Parking space for 2 wheeler is better than compared to 4 wheeler
Blue Nile Restaurant in Pune holds a special place in the hearts of many locals due to its nostalgic charm. This old establishment has a unique emotional value for people, making it more than just a restaurant.
The highlight here is undoubtedly the mouthwatering kababs that are packed with flavor and tenderness. However, while the biryani is popular, it might not quite live up to the hype. Nonetheless, if you're visiting Pune and want to experience its culinary history and enjoy tasty kababs, Blue Nile is still a worthwhile stop.
Ambiance of the place is very good. The service is very fast and the food is very delicious. I tried chicken dum biryani, chicken seekh kebab, mutton seekh kebab, chicken tandoori and kulfi faluda. The chicken was cooked very well and had a smoky flavour. It was delicious. Must try.
Superb...excellent place! Biryani was lightly spiced and delicious..chicken seekh kabab had very generous portions. For desert waiter suggested triliche, which was out of this world 😄.... Will definitely revisit again and again 🔥
For me this places invokes nostalgia. A wave of memories swept over me as I pictured the mouth watering half tandoori chicken and butter Roti hovering in front of my eyes.
I loved the old charm this restaurant had, not really a big fan of the new decor. Iraní restaurants are notoriously know to preserve their culture and heritage, not sure I understand the motivation to renovate.
Leaving that aside, you do get greeted with a smile and servers are happy to help. Ordered the mutton Biryani, mutton keema and spl mutton masala, the Biryani and keema did not disappoint unfortunately can’t say the same about the masala.
The star of the lunch was undoubtedly the “ Carmel custard” some things are just timeless and I am glad to find the same taste after years.
Kya swaad hai jindagi mein !!! Thanks blue Nile
Ordered chicken biriyani, irani biriyani and bheja fry. Everything was just delicious and the quantity was appreciated. Prices are bit on the higher side. Ambience is quite spacious, beautiful. A great place for friends and family hangouts. Usually stays very crowded due to its high popularity. Service is good and fast.
