Must try Great place if you are looking for real food! Protein cooked the maharashtrian way and really delicious. Fantastic mutton thali. Great mutton Bhajji. Super kheema. The best part is you get bajra and Jawar bhakri with it. Great fun and good memory food. Simple and unaustentatious.
The Kheema kaleji ,Mutton kharda and Takkar was good and portions were quite nice. Since ,the preparation is kolhapuri style ,one expected the kharda and Takkar ( rassa ) to be spicy but it was not at all spicy ,although ,the menu has a remark ' Spicy ' . Maybe ,it is Puneri spicy level and not Kolhapur !

There are things you know for a fact, like home cooked food tastes the best and have been a fan of my mother in law's home made chicken made in kala masala but then you visit a place like surve's and you suddenly find your second home... They serve you the same way ... Trust me when I say that, we have made it a norm to visit this place at least once every month such is the taste and hospitality of this place and the taste overwhelmes you with burst of Authentic Maharashtrian flavor in every bite... Keep up the good work!!!
If you're in Pune and want to taste proper Maharashtrian Non-veg dishes then you have to visit this place. They have atleast 3 to 4 franchises in Pune.
Their Special Chicken Thali is served with Chapati/Bhakri, Rice, Chicken fry, Chicken Keema, a rassa and salads. They also serve a special type of Nimbu pani to balance out the spiciness of the food. The thali was priced around Rs. 450 and it's enough for 2 people.
The staff members in the restaurant were really polite and fast. It was worth the money spent.

Delicious thali and huge portions. Best part is they allow sharing. The rassa was so amazing, just the thought of it makes me drool. Make sure you get in early they had run out of kheema which we desperately wanted to eat.

What to say about this place. A very nice place for non veg lovers. Chicken n Mutton thali are something to die for. This place is famous for authentic chicken thali. Will definitely recommend this place.
Visited this branch of Surve's many times. Each and every time, taste is well maintained and up to the mark. Tried both chicken and mutton thalis. They serve fresh meat. Rassa is authentic and tasty. They also serve dahi kanda (curd and onion) along with thali which is best.
I like chicken kharda. Green colored gravy is very tasty. Cost is bit on higher side but totally worth it. Ambiance is very good. Lot of open space to roam around. Service here is very good and quick. Staff is really helpful and prompt.

This restaurant serves only Maharashtrian style non veg food. They have a short menu and they’re really good at what they offer. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity served. The meat is always fresh and they are very strict about quality of the food they serve. The waiters are very courteous and hospitable. Do feel free to ask them any questions about the menu and then order.
The food overall is slightly spicier than normal. But that’s what you’d normally expect from Maharashtrian style non veg food. If you’re weary about the fiery Curries, go for the ‘aalni’ versions. They’re cooked in stock and void of masala.
Also, don’t forget to try the mutton dalcha. It’s a little twisted if you’re not used to this taste. In any case, bhakti and steamed indrayani rice go best with any curry.
This place has grown to be my favourite since it opened. I never miss on having at least one meal whenever I visit Pune.

As the name suggest this place is an pune non vegetarian place where the the khichdi also contains chicken in it. The ambiance is really great and quite spacious too. But beware the waiting time can be quite if u reach a bit late there. We ordered chicken kharda was was made out of green chilli gravy and it was way too spicy but was good in taste. Mutton handi was also good and the rassa was good too. We had bhakri and it was soft and good. They serve authentic maharastrian food but its a way too spicy for us. The service is very good and this place is a bit on expensive side.

There are some places that doesn't need a review.. their food , quality and taste speaks volume..Surve's non veg is one such place.. being so close to my house, it's the to go place for us if you want to enjoy a delicious and hearty non vegetarian meal..the only thing that you have to brave on a weekend is the serpentine queue.. so what !! When you know what lies ahead.. This is the chicken thali that is priced at 350 Rs ... And you can share too... .their Indrayani rice that comes in the thaali is by far the best that I have had till now..it won't be a lie to say that I wait for the bowl of the flavourful rice.. We ordered for a masala omlette as a side dish and nimbu Pani and aerated drinks to wash everything down.. all of these for a cool 551 Rs.. total VFM meal with guaranteed quality..

Authentic maharashtrian food. Ordered Chicken Fry and indeed it was delicious. The amount of the food was adequate and the spices are perfectly balanced. A must try starter( but bit of a thick gravy starter) . Will try some more and update!

This is awesome restaurant if you want to try some chicken rassa thali. The chicken was juicy and taste is authentic. Must try the rassa with indrayani rice. The taste will make you go berserk. Also tried soda curry which is dried prawns. Damn good.
Awesome place for non veg lovers.. Staff was very courteous.. We were received and served by a guy named Shrikant.. He gave us the details about the options to select.. We had ordered Mutton kharda which is made in handbleneded spices.. Gravy for this dish was flavorsome and mouth watering.. Later we had ordered Mutton biryani which too was very tasty.. Especially rice which they had used for biryani was of very good quality..
One more thing to mention is, one of us was a vegetarian.. As this place has no option of veg dishes (they do have the egg dishes), the guy who served us (shrikant) arranged for veg sabji from a nearby restaurant..

Surve's never disappoints. We always love being there. Their service is truly commendable. I have started liking alni chicken from here. Rassa and bhakhri amalgamation is what I do here and it tastes heavenly. It serves authentic maharashtrian style non-veg.

Amazing place for pure non vegetarians. One advice, please go there with an empty stomach. They have this full thali which is more than sufficient for 1 person. The taste is awesome and hospitality is superb too. The ghee rice that they gave is just awesome. And the chicken thali which we had was just as homemade. The paratha were so soft ... It's a must go place.

Quite a good place to have a pure Maharastrian non-veg food, especially Mutton Biryani served with uniquely tasted mutton gravy(They also served onion with curd, dahi kanda!!). Special items on menu are sukka bombil and sukat. The ambience is good (3.5 out of 5). Service is average (2.5 out of 5). The items on menu are neither too expensive nor cheap. If you living around and want to try something different than Punjabi non-veg food you have to try this once.
After hearing from so many people about quality and taste of surve's thali we decided to give it a try. We ordered Chicken thali which includes chicken masala, chicken rassa, an egg and roti/bhakri and indrayani rice.
The taste of chicken masala and chicken rassa was crazy good. Only thing I noticed was that quantity of chicken pieces (meat) was less and some pieces were cooked to perfection and some were bit chewy. But it's a great place to go for a dinner with your family. Service was fast and waiters were polite and friendly. The owner was personally paying attention to the customer and was really friendly.
Went here for dinner with friends. We started with the mutton kharda (thecha) which was the dish of the day for me. Then we ordered solkadi and nimbu paani. Post this we had the special mutton and special chicken thalis. The food was yummy and the service was decent. Overall a nice heavy dinner.

I have heard so much about this place and still it was pending to visit. But as it's said, it's never too late. And oh boy, what an experience it is. सब्र का फल बहोत स्वादिष्ट था. I experienced one of the best Maharashtrian non veg after a long time.
I like spicy food, but this one was not spicy. And even so it managed to taste delicious and tasty with a hint of spices. They call it Saoji style Chicken, I'm not aware of the exact dish but it was truly tasty. I had the full/special Chicken Thali, which has Curry, Sukha Chicken and Kheema along with Bhakari and Rice. The Kheema was ok for me, but the chicken curry and the sukka piece was ultimate. At to top it off we also ordered Solkadhi. And it filled the remaining space of our heart and soul
The ambiance is neat and clean. Good for family and friends.

I went to Surve's restaurant for lunch with my wife. Had heard a lot about the authentic taste of the food served here and they didn't disappoint me. We tried the 'Thecha Chicken' which came with a green chilly gravy and loved it. Chicken Rassa also tasted good. Then we had the Chicken Biryani and for me it was ok. A place sure for a visit for non-veg lovers...!!!

Overview : a one stop food halt for every non-veg lover goes absolutely by the name PURE NON-VEG. If confused simply order one of their thalis and u won’t be disappointed. On a regular day I’d simply walk-in to my fav chicken/mutton rassa and rice. Bhakri is perfectly done and so was the boiled anda masala.

Recently i was in pune and went to surves non veg restaurant i m bowled over by the taste and services the food is super yum with authentic marathi flavours i loved mutton thali, mutton ghotala and chicken thekha all r so delicious u cant stop eating its a full on worthy place to go again and again

In starters, Chicken Alani fry is super. Boiled chicken with Alani gravy. Chicken is fried to Smoky taste. Alani gravy is bit salty but complimenting Chicken served. Chicken Pakoda is also good to try in starters.
Mutton Soup is must try, pure mutton stock in Alani preparation.
Tried their Mutton & Chicken Thalis. Jwari Bhakri is perfect & soft.
I believe food preparation is from Satara style so rassa is not so spicy but still with good constitancy.
Staff is courteous & always suggests you what suits to your taste.

घरचं खाणं. The taste lingers. This review comes pretty late from me, as this has been my frequent place in Viman Nagar since 2 years now. Surve's pure non veg serves you food which has the perfect Marathi zanka to it. The way in which the recipes are prepared I think gives you a homely feeling and makes you want for more. They serve, chicken, mutton and egg recipes. I haven't tried their mutton thali since I don't like mutton, but the chicken thali is to die for. Will suggest you have the special chicken thali since it has a small wati (katori) of chicken kheema as an add on, which is mouth watering.. The bhakri is very very soft and goes perfectly with the dish. Chapati's too are huge and extremely soft and filling. I got introduced to Indrayani rice here, and when you have it with the chicken curry, oh my god, it sure makes you crazy.
Ambience is good and service is very prompt too.
The only reason which keeps me from giving Surve's a 5 star is the meat pieces they put in the chicken masala, which are mostly only bones. Which look like the leftover pieces. Will also recommend to increase the masala/ thick gravy in the same. They've also started serving Solkadhi, which they didn't, when it was still a new joint. The Solkadhi can definitely be better, was too sweet and lacked the tangy flavour to it. Maybe they should try making it in house like all other things, and it too will then be a hit for sure!

This is a must in list for non veg lovers - what a spicy nd home time food dey have. Though health freak people can object the quantity of oil they use but the taste lovers will surely go for it.
One the best non veg resto in town good taste and flouver assal Maharashtrian taste I love their sp mt Thali and mutton kharada and kheema I always order take away food from this place you find their mutton is properly cooked and very tender even if you won't be having a teeth you can eat their mutton easily but I think they need to work little on prices ......must try
This was first time (sometime in November) I visited such a typical Maharastrian restaurant. Nice, clean, spacious. The service was quick and food very tasty. Spicy, full of flavor. We tried a Fried Mutton Thecha. It was really hot, but enjoyed every bit of it. The only disappointment was they didn’t have any papad or any dessert on the menu. Rest all good.
I tried bajra ka roti , sticky rice and chicken curry. Taste is good. Taste is close to coastal food and prepared in coconut oil. Need to crush the roti and put curry on the bowl and mix it. Its a different style and I enjoyed the food. Service is good.

Based on recommendation by friend, we went there to have sp. Mutton thali The thali contains 2 big rotis/chapatis, indrayani rice, mutton keema, mutton curry and mutton rassa. The taste was good but price was on bit higher side. Approx 650 for a plate of mutton is bit too pricey...Atmosphere is fine and staff is courteous.
Always wanted to taste their Maharashtrian non veg thalis so visited their viman nagar branch. Mutton thali was too mouthwatering. Taste was amazing. Their indrayani rice was so aromatic and tasty. Home styled bhakri was next level.

What a tummy full lunch we had at Surve's pure non veg.
The food was very tasty and the quantity was such that we couldn't have our dinner that day. The quality of food was very good and homely. This is one of the few restaurants which serves indrayni rice.
The rates was very reasonable and we didn't regret to cancel our plan to go for barbecue.
The owner was very friendly and treated us good.
