Craving for seafood and would like to taste different varieties?? "Mahesh Lunch Home" is the best option for you. It has fantastic menu with lot of options. Different types of fishes and crabs and what not. Yummy, authentic, hygienic and finger licking seafood we've ever tried with amazing ambience, Clean atmosphere and best sitting arrangements. The staff is really polite and helpful. Takes care of the customers needs and suggest the best dishes that they have. We really enjoyed our dinner here. It's bit expensive than other restaurants but trust me it's totally worth it. The food presentations are great here specially the crab dishes are nicely decorated. It's a must try restuarant for seafood cravings. It also serves alcohol, Didn't try any mocktail or cocktail but next time would definitely try them. Overall enjoyed our dinner here.🍽️

Service was absolutely wonderful. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, after 5th day Ganpati Visarjan. As the rest of Pune was still celebrating, we came in to a partially full restaurant. Staff, servers were so genuinely cheerful, knowledgeable and helpful in giving us a great seafood experience! Food was as good as I remember it to be, in this original Mahesh Lunch Home in Pune. Ambience was a bit dingy, with blue neon accent lights. A mild smell, like many years of old oil was in the air. Still, all the families around me, grand parents and young kids, seemed to be eating happily. KP, Viman Nagar, Kharadi IT folks may not like the vibe but do prepare yourselves and go in to eat here for the yummy fresh seafood, non-snooty great service and for the nostalgia of a good old & well-loved Pune restaurant.

Tucked away in an unassuming bye lane of pune camp is this behemoth of a restaurant named Mahesh lunch home. You are welcomed into a small vestibule which leads into a large dining hall, dim lighting, spacious seating and decent ambience. I chose a deglam corner of the hall and perched myself on the sturdy settee. Flagged off by a bud mag and a bloody Mary, eyes prancing on the aperitif, bombil(Bombay duck) fried in suji caught my eye. The dish arrived deep fried in rawa batter, crunchy and nice. Prawns chilli pepper is the second of the lot which too was appealing, good presentation and delectable but the portion needs to be upsized a bit. Koliwada rawas was next in line, portion size and presentation was fair but the dish lacked condiments and flavour, it tasted like chicken which I promptly pointed it out to the maitre d'. The next dish was the disappointment of a lifetime;squid butter garlic an overload of butter fried garlic with tasteless and chewy, rubbery squid rings. This dish is best avoidable. Ordered another round of Bombil deep fried in rawa coating. This snack is really good folks; at the cost of repetition i will say it's a must try. Less get to the main course :- Crab Gassi:- influenced by the konkan cuccini this Crab curry comes in a thick manglorean gravy with a hint of coconut milk. Portion is huge so one dish is good enough for two pax. The only downside is that I wish it was mud crab and not Blue Sea crab. Prawns ghee roast:- A shrimp dish (semi dry) infused with clarified butter and covered in thick in red pepper paste. Very delectable, strongly recommended. Garlic Naan is crispy and well prepared and so was the butter roti. Neer dosa, another mangalorean flatbread was soft and nice as well. For sweet tooth they have typical cold desserts so we just asked for ice cream since Sizzling Brownies was out of stock. Folks, even though the prices are high, the ambience and well mannered staff makes this place worthy of a visit.

Awesome taste, mostly sea food is very fresh, and Great choice of food but price is a concert. It's way too expensive. I spent 3000 for 2 people. No complaints about the food. But price makes me think again about visiting.

Famous for its treasured seafood menu, Mahesh Lunch Home is a cosy restaurant near Camp area. It is perfect for a rejuvenating Manglorian meal alongside a wide selection of drinks. We ordered : 1) Tawa Fry Surmayi 2) Prawns Tandoori 3) Pomfret in Manglorian Curry 4) Lacchha Paratha & Jeera Rice The seafood items are fresh, flavorful and sufficient in quantity. The restaurant also has dim blue lighting, good ambience and valet parking. Should definitely visit!

The food and presentation was good as per the expectation and the staff were attentive to the service. Parking is not feasible as it's far from the hotel it's a road touch restaurant ... The music is good but Ambyiance is not fresh as it's in the basement and the ventilation is poor.

Decent seafood and good ambience. We went to the lunch home as it was recommended by our friends for good sea food. The name gives you the feel of a non veg thali place with a set menu but once we entered we realised it's a multicusine restaurant. The menu has many seafood options which are mostly prepared in the Mangalorean style. The starters we ordered were decent the prawn koliwada were perfectly cooked and were succulent and juicy. The fish tikka was a bit overdone and had made the fish a bit dry and flaky. The prawns sukkha in the main course wasn't as spicy as you'd imagine it to be but was still delicious. The curry was a let down it was over seasoned and the fish had a very overpowering raw fish like smell. The place also offers neer dosas and appams both were well prepared. Courteous service and friendly wait staff. The restaurant was quiet and the ambience is good. The place also serves alcohol if you'd like to indulge. The food didn't make me feel very excited about the place and it's definitely not value for money.

Good place to be for seafood though it's quite expensive. Ambience is nice. Drinks are available. Waiters are polite. Food tastes good. Doesn't have good parking area. Good for a date as well as family dinner. It would cost around INR 2000 for two people. Would definitely recommend everyone to visit at least once (don't forget to order tandoori prawns).
