Being a huge fan of North Indian cuisine, winter calls for makki ki roti and sarso da saag. Having tried it at many places in Pune, Shahji's paratha house was in our list since quite some time after reading great reviews and it was totally worth it. I would rate makki ki roti 10/10 for it was made perfectly with granular flour and the texture was so good that every bite with butter and saag was scrumptious. Sarso ka saag was good but i have had better so would rate 7/10. The entire thali was good and the only thing missing was white makkhan. Overall a must try for peope especially North Indians looking for saag and makki ki roti.
All the food we have ever had here was good. I personally like masala paratha thali and dilliwali paratha thali.
The range of parathas here is excellent. One paratha and you will not need anything more. Even if you order at home, the packing is good and all the accompaniments are nicely packed. A must visit place for paratha lovers.

There are varieties of parathas in the menu. Parathas are served with boondi raita, white chane, aloo matar, dal, pickle & butter. One can also try chur chur naan or other dishes. As we went to have only parathas. We tried three types of Parathas.
Methi Hariyali Paratha - Paratha was really taste and crispy as it should have been. It was that much tasty that we end up ordering this again.
Paneer Paratha - Great to have with sufficient filling of paneer.
Aloo Banarasi Paratha - Normal aloo paratha but on spicier side. One can have and enjoy if interested to have spicy flavour.
Being a Punjabi, it was great to have tasty Parathe here in Pune.
Only thing I didn't like about the place is that washroom were really dirty. They should work on it. otherwise ambience of the place is just fine.

This thali consist of parantha, dal makhani, spicy bengal gram, yogurt, chutney and butter.It was really luscious to eat! The have other varieties of parantha as well. Ambience was also good. Would love to come again at 'Shaji's Parantha House'! Will recommend to try here .
This place is a part of Coronet restaurant and serves north Indian food. It specializes in Paranthas which are tasty and pretty heavy. Try their choor choor naan and dahi bhalla. The place is a bit cramped but worth a visit once.

When you want to have really amazing flavourful and hygienic paratha this is the place you want to visit! Been going to this place from 2014 and not once have I been disappointed.
The food is slightly costlier than the usual paratha houses but if you admire quality above price then you are going to love the food here! First of all they never cheap out on air-conditioning! It is always nice and gold enough. The quantity is just more than enough for one person in case of paratha. I love visiting this place in the afternoon around 1 on weekdays, weekends it is a lil bit crowded though. It's not noisy and one can have good food with friends or family without much disturbance!
So it is nice for quality lunch with your Close friends!

Simply Amazing and Lip Smacking.. they have varieties of parathas - I have tried their aloo banarasi, paneer bhurji, dal parantha, mix vegetable, onion parantha, cheese aloo parantha and I must say all of them were mind blowing.. they serve dal makhani, butter, pickle, chutneys, raita, and a bhaaji in each parantha thali.. it is really filling for the tummy.. highly recommended...

Now, I have been hearing a lot about this mouth-watering paratha serving restaurant and I have to tell you this is not any other Paratha house in the town!!!
One fine day with a fine weather and a fine occasion of a birthday we decided not to go to any fine restaurant but to this legendary Paratha House who has been serving parathas to the city of Pune since a long time!! Oh yes, they do it very well unlike most of the paratha house in the city.
The place is located in the core city of Pune, Apte Road, Deccan Gymkhana. This I guess is the main branch of this outlet.
Let's start with the ambience the ambience is not something very out of the box or something that is way grand or way unique. This does not mean in any way the ambience is bad, in fact, this is a minimal arrangement for a restaurant and has a good vibe once you enter the house.
Let's now get to the most important part of any Zomato review, Yes the FOOD!!
We started our food voyage with One of the only two starter options,
Dahi Bhalla Papdi Chaat - For those who did not get what this dish is let me explain, this is a simple chaat dish with Dahi and Wada and Papdi to add some crispy twist to the dish. The Papdi did make the dish crispy and the custard made a chill and sweet starting to the appetite.
Phataphat Paneer Naan Thali - This consists of the famous chur chur naans on the plate accompanied by a panner kadhai, masoor ki sabzi and an aloo ki sabzi. The chur-chur were as expected very crunchy and the paneer stuffed inside was tasty and tender. The thali typically serves 1 and can be shared by two if you order two different thalis.
Dal Lasooni Paratha - This was recommended by some Zomato users so ordered this one, tasted very good the tangy lasoon popped in and made the paratha tastier than ever!.
Veg Biryani Paratha - Now this may sound weird to many of you. But this was a good paratha indeed. As the name suggests this had biryani stuffed inside paratha, though the combination may sound a bit off this was a fairly good paratha.
Mango Lassi - I say you have to have to order this one. The taste is very royal as Mango is itself royal enough to be part of this mouth-watering lassi. Guys go ahead and get yourself a worthy treat.
Apart from all these points, the service is pretty fast and responsive they actually do keep an eye on what would be needed next and responds to all your queries very fast. The service was so fast that the guy did not even wait for us to finish the meal and hurried with the finger bowl. :D

This is my go-to place for eating north style parathas.
They serve paratha with boondi Ka raita, tamatar aloo ki sabji, Dal makhani, chhole etc. Unlike other places, here these side dishes r equally tasty.
We ordered following parathas - Dal lahsuni, Chur Chur naan, aloo banarasi & papad paratha. All of them are super delicious.
On every table they have kept box of aachar n chutney. They r super yumm too..
Along with parathas we had shahi dahi bhalla and saundhe aloo tikki. Both are flavourful n super tasty. To drink, we ordered buttermilk. Super refreshing in this weather.

Of all the thali places I've been to in Pune, I'll say this one is the best.
A bit of waiting on a Saturday afternoon, and we were taken in for superb lunch in their nice ambience.
We ordered Dahi Bhalle and Aloo tikki, the only two things which can pass off as starters, apart from this they don't have any. They were alright, nothing great!
What was really great, was the main course. Lip smacking offerings in their thali. We ordered one aloo gobhi thali and one special tandoori thali. The food quality is superior to other thali places, and that's what sets them apart in terms of taste.
The service is brilliant. We had three people looking after our table of four.
What I liked the most is their box of achaars and chutney. I finished the green pudina chutney, like I cleaned the whole box, it's that good!
I'd go here again just to have that chutney.
If you're in the mood for a fine vegetarian treat. Shahji's is the place to be!
Amazing place for parantha lovers. We ordered chur chur naan, cheeze paratha, dal paratha, paneer bharti paratha and diliwala mix paratha. Must say every paratha has its own flavour that you don't wanna miss. The dal makhani and boondi raita provided with the paratha is lip smacking.
One one point that turns you off is they do not allow you to occupy the seat unless all the members are present. It put me off as my parents were just 5 min away, they made us wait till they arrived. Hence a 4 for the service that makes you rethink your decision to revisit on such a busy street.

Everything at this place is near to perfection.
The ambience, the service, the food, the location.
Talking about food they have specialty which is chur chur naan thali which is highly recommendable. Like in other thalis restaurants don’t care about the vegetables but here you would love to eat the vegetables accompanying the naan.
I ordered paneer chur chur naan that was soft and loaded with butter. The best was dal makhani and raita to die for.
They have an option of makki di roti and sarson da saag.(not tasted yet).
If we talk about the dessert the best is their moong dal halwa and Gulab jamun. The halwa was evenly cooked and with desi ghee taste in it. No coarseness in biting.
If we talk about Gulab Jamun it was really soft.
If I talk about service they are very good I was craving for sweets I ordered two of them the waiter politely said sir it will be in huge quantity. He also asked to try for two different thali.
And the part which I liked most was they have very pleasant songs played at background.

Today it was my first visit to Shahijis Parantha House on Apte road Pune. We ordered Aloo Gobi and Dal Lasooni paratha with Dahiballa papad chat. Both Parathas were very delicious and sumptuous. Papad chat was really awesome. Also as a desert I ordered Moong dal Halwa which was also very tasty and yummy . The service was too good and cordial. I did not find service slow here. In fact it was served expeditiously. I would like to visit again with my friends and relatives.
We had a couple of paranthas and also a paratha Thali out here. This place is pocket friendly and serves you heavy portions on plate with a good taste. Staff however gets a little lethargic at some point. Overall good experience.

Shahji’s is known for their authentic North Indian parantha thali. Parantha thali is served with dal makhni, rajma, aloo sabzi , boondi raita. We tried paneer bhurji parantha thali and khatakat paneer naan chur chur thali which is basically kulcha served. Both the dishes were fulfilling and delicious. Staff is very courteous and helpful and also quick service.

Its one of the tried and tested place in pune for paranthas. Tried their chole and lassi with dal lasuni parantha and gulab jamun as desserts.
Chole are superb and lassi is thick and tasty. Dal lasuni paratha gives the taste of real north Indian parantha.
Only gulab jamun disappointed us. Not upto the mark.

Mirch Ajwain paratha - personally it disappointed me as this paratha is topped with Mirch and Ajwain mixture. Not upto the mark.
Moong dal halwa - its a must try dessert they have. Grainy texture and to break the texture and bring the crunch they have added some dry fruits as well. It changed the game totally.

3 of us went there and had the best experience of our lives. The paneer bhurji Parantha, aloo Parantha and pasta Parantha are so huge and so buttery you cannot finish it all by yourself. And the condiments served with them are just as good. The lassi is euphoric. The gulab jamun and moong dal ka halwa look so good and delicious that we had to have them even after we were full from the paranthas.

We were at Shahjis on a Saturday evening, waiting was expected but they manage it pretty well,and the charm of the place i.e.,the heart of Pune city makes it bearable also the serivce is very quick which reduces the waiting time.
Staff is courteous,place is clean and hygenic.
For me when it is Shahjis the start is always with Masala chaas ( weather,time factors don't matter ,😊)...it is that refreshing..
We ordered Dilliwala paratha and paneer takaktak chur Chur thali.
Dilliwala Parantha was yummy..the sides they serve with paranthas are equally tasty.5/5 for this.
Chur Chur is considered to be the speciality but it didn't satisfy my taste buds..it was a bit bland and I felt it was bit chewy...for me it is 2.5 /5.
Overall it was a tasty experience as always.
Since I'm a huge fan for parathas i had to visit this place as the name itself has paratha in it.
We tried their paratha Thali n simple paratha dish.
The paratha are nicely stuffed with the appropriate amount of nicely flavoured stuffing.
They serve the parathas with curd, butter ,salad ,sabji.
Overall its a good place to have a full heavy meal with a nice n decent ambience.

Pleasant ambience and nice food. We tried their special, Amritsari Chur Chur nan thali, and it was very tasty. We tried dahi Bhalle , Alu tikki, patiala lassi and mung halwa. Every item was tasty . Rates are not too low and not too high.
Orders were being placed in time however hotel staff should provide fast service.

Tried many times and same experience. We tried there parathas and they are awesome, you alone may not be able to finish one so take advice.
High quality food and service. All parantha thalis are served with awesome pickles and chutneys. Worth being patient, if there's any waiting. The service is also delightful.
The valet service makes it very convenient for guests not to spend time in the parking hell that is Apte road.
Family or friends, whoever you take along, they're in for a memorable meal.

Shahaji's special Paratha Thali was the most expensive of all in their menu card, however the actual menu wasn't so *special*. Improvements required.
One of the best places in Pune to taste authentic Punjabi chur chur naan, paranthas, lassis and much much more. Their paranthas are really big and are a meal in itself. The paranthas are full of flavour and not too spicy. U will be amazed by the variety of side dishes and pickles. Do pay a visit if u want to have a taste of Delhi in Pune.
Very good. A bit expensive but definitely worth it. I am updating the review of three years in 2022 informing that I visited the place once again and the quality is still pretty much the same ... it is good though I found the supplementary veggies provided by them were more on spicy side. This is definitely worthwhile visiting at least once. I had visited their branch is camp as well and it was same taste. Recommended!
Had a good experience of food here. Staff was wonderful and took care of everything that we requested. Chur chur paratha was something new and liked it. Felt it is a little over priced.

Pune must visit place for having paratha. the food is delicious, good ambiance, good vibes & testy food. A variety of foods are available here. I tried Amritsari chur chur naan thali & Mirchi Ajwani Paratha. all are good. 😊😋😋

One of the best paratha places in Pune.
My personal favourites include the Chur Chur Naan Thali, Paneer Cheese Paratha, Aloo Bhujiya Paratha and Aloo Paratha.
All of their dishes are very tasty so you can try anything you please.
Apart from that they have the tastiest Lassi. My most favourite is Moong Dal Halwa which is full of ghee and straight out of heaven! Must try!!!!
First thing Thanks to team they are working...They served in use and through dishes staff is wearing mask correctly not just formalities.. Coming to taste it was delicious experience.. every item has its unique taste Which is very good..Loved Amritsari chur chur nan... Definitely recommended for North Indian cuisine experience...
