Had been to this place after an outing to Bhuleshwar Temple. This place is located at Yavat on Pune-Solapur Highway. The ambiance is great and since they serve breakfast menu all day, it was pretty crowded even at 6.45 pm. We (along with 4-5 more tables) were politely asked to wait until the Dinner started at 7.00 pm. The overall furniture is comfortable and made in wood.
Now the food. We ordered -
Minestrone Soup - Minestrone was good in taste. 3 / 5
Drumsticks soup – This was amazing (since it was their specialty, we were recommended to have it by the Manager). It had drumstick pieces stuffed with cheese, then coated in corn flour and deep fried and then served in drumsticks flavored soup. This was really enjoyable. 5 / 5
Starters were good too – We ordered Tandoori Kumbh, Paneer Thread – both were tasty. We personally liked Mushrooms one more. 4 / 5
Hakka Noodles – This was a big setback after the super high expectations, and we were kind of grounded by this. This was super bland, and very very tasteless. Somehow, did not go along even when we mixed it with Schezwan sauce to make it a bit spicy and edible. 2 / 5
Schezwan fried rice – This was okay, and we were relieved after tasting this (post the trauma of Hakka noodles). We were able to finish off this with some Fresh lime soda.
Overall, this is a good place to try out, especially with family and friends. Pure Veg place, so no issues with that too. They serve items for fast and some fresh juices (which were good in taste). Most importantly AVOID Chinese main courses, and go for North-Indian food (we overheard about the great taste of North-Indian main course dishes).

We tried kathi roll which was first served cold, we had to ask them to serve fresh.it was average. Highlight of the lunch was Rajwadi veg, that is served in coconut shell this was tasty. I loved the presentation of this dish. We also tried Jalebi rabdi which seems to be overpriced but is good.
This restaurant is located near Yavat. It is located on right hand side if you travel from Pune to Solapur.

Veg. Toofani - Again, it was a bit less spicy than expected but the taste was great overall and the quantity was great. We only ordered one plate for 5 people!!
Kanchan Home Made Mango Ice Cream - This was nice as well.
A place at Pune Solapur Road with an amazing ambience. The place is done so well with such minute innovations. Their service matches the level of ambience they have provided. This place is a must visit for everyone traveling on that route. It serves every kind of meal one would expect. I was amazed to see the kinda crowd they had by 7:00pm. They have maintained the place well with good hygiene. The food is amazing, you can try anything and you won't be disappointed. Thank you for serving us. We'll surely visit everytime I am on that route.

On the way to Tuljapur from Pune, we were damn hungry and looking for food. This place felt like heaven to us, must say they are simply experts in their work. Every individual knows his work and serves us whole heatedly.
Talking about food, I suggest you take out time have a meal. We had idli, which was fluffy and tasty with chutney up to the mark. Next was onion uttappa, crunchy and lots of butter. Even coffee was good.

I have been visiting this place for the last 7-10 years since i was a kid. It falls on the way to my native place.
What truly surprises me is that the place is able to maintain the highest of standards they've set, outstanding food, stunning Ambience. And most of all, cleanliness. Which is not easy since the place is located in a rural area.
Do give this place a visit without fail
Good place. We went there for breakfast on our way to home. Very good ambience and nice decorations done which is soothing to eyes. Good seating arrangement. Coming to food we ordered misal paav, potato wada sample, and South Indian dishes like dosa and medu wada. Misal was good they serve rassa in mataka style . Aloo wada also tastes good. Finally we ordered tea served in clay container. Tea is refreshing and sweetness is wel balanced. In all bery good place.
Since this place is famous for the misal pao, we straight away ordered them and we were really happy with it. They give the rassa or sample with the matki and watana base. It comes in two spice levels m we tried both. Both had a good taste and it didn't get overpowered by the spiciness.
Overall a good experience, the staff was polite and prompt in serving. They have a really beautiful and comfortable ambience. They had a lot of interior done in cane which was really soothing to the eyes... Worth every penny we paid.
This restaurant is located on pune solapur highway. Appears to be one of the crowded restaurant. I visited this restaurant twice recently as my 1st experience was good. They have everything eco friendly. Ambience is really pleasant. Entire restaurant is made in wooden with wooden chairs and table. Entrance is very attractive with lotus flaoting in water.
We went there for breakfast and ordered misal pav, masala dosa and mixed idli vada sambar. Misal was really fantastic served with curd. Masala dosa and idli wada sambar was also good but not extra ordinary. And chai was too good. service is bit slow. rates are fine. U must visit this place once at least.

It's One of the best veg restaurant. Their misal pav is very famous. So, I ordered misal pav.. And yes... It's just superb. Even their quantity is easily serves 2-3 people. So, must try misal.

My must place to stop while driving back to Solapur, I am not giving the 5 star for a reason that their service and food quality has gone down. You can enjoy their Misal Pav and other maharshtrian dishes. hand made ice cream is my favourite. Still still a very clean place for travellers , the toilets are clean. A advice to management committee to go back to original quality which they use to serve earlier.

The best restaurant to try out when are on this route. I have visited this place 4 times, and at all those times the food taste,quantity have been phenomenal, be it misal pav,snacks,Punjabi food. They have mastered it in terms of taste. Its very crowded most of the times on weekends so expect 15 minutes waiting time.
In terms of ambiance also its quite good, it feels nice and cool even in the high summer afternoon.

The place is located on Pune-Solapur Rd. It's a multi-cuisine restaurant. One can definitely take a stop here. Very nice ambiance, good taste of food. We ordered north Indian food, soup, starters and main course. Ice-cream is also a option for dessert.

We went there and I was awestruck with beautiful ambience and ox at the door..my kiddo loved them ..ambience was close to rural set up ..walls and decor made up of bamboo..jus loved the ambience ..as soon as we sat down manager and waiter came for order . We ordered butter nan,kanchan special veg egg curry,paneer pahadi kabab and jalebis ..as I already read abt this delicious dessert online ..and gulkand ice cream(home made)
Starter paneer pahadi came in hot matka with live grill .smoke was coming out ..n handi was amazing ..I loved the kabab..it was Supersoft and fresh ..jus loved eating it..even pickle in d menu was v tasty ..it. Wasn't usual pickle ..but unusual turmeric Raw mango pickle ..then main course ..egg curry was nice ..but it wasn't upto the mark. .how much it was hyped..what shd I say abt jalebis..they were served in dro(bowl made up of leaf)with rose syrup and rose petals sprinkled over it for fragrance and flavour..they were mini jalebis wihvproper amount of sweetness and perfect crunch n thin spirals of it..I orderd 3 bowls ..one after another ..n lastly gulaknad ice cream was cherry on the top..happily satisfied ..with ambience and food .this resto made my Sunday special.

One of the best places to have Misal, great ambience and great staff, Jalebi Rabadi was also good, if you're traveling to Solapur then this has to be your hunger stop, just you will have to be patience as you might need to wait for table vacancy.
The food is the hero in this place. The 'Egg Curry' made without eggs is the standout dish. It's made with paneer and potato and resembles an egg. The curry itself is very spicy like an actual egg curry.
We also had a soup made of drumsticks and it was refreshingly different.
And of course we had their special jalebi..
We also had sandwiches, some fresh juice and a mastani (high on dry fruits and heavy)..
But all in all, a very good restaurant, great food, nice ambience and thoughtful, mindful but not obtrusive service.
Veg egg curry..!! The best dish i ever tasted..!❤️ My family doesn’t order anything other than this because it is too hard to resist. I’m sure the other dishes must be very delicious. But this dish is a must try. And home made sugar free ice cream too was love.. 💗

On your way back to Pune from Solapur and looking for a place to eat, this is a definite stop for people looking for Vegetarian food. They have a good spread of food and have a good seating area. The place is located just after Yavat and can be easily located. The food and ambiance of this place are great and you may get a feeling that it is not a highway side dhaba but a restaurant in the city. Head out to this place if you want to go for a drive and dinner !

One of the best and finest restaurants on Pune Solapur highway. This resto is not new to People traveling on this road, popular mainly for authentic maharshtrian and other veg cusines.
I'm seeing this restaurant and visiting it more than 10+ yr whenever I travel Pune Solapur so I'm sure its started even before that with a humble begining as roadside proper Veg restaurant with one of the most innovative, nature centric and open kitchen of that time. (10 yr before, rather i would say they were ahead of the time). Now, in 2018 it has become a legend and leads further in its distinctiveness with nature friendly atmosphere and their cusines.
I remember , i spoke to a owner (10 yr before) who was so simple, humble and down to earth person.
Now, their second generation is proudly Serving to customers with a zeal of giving their best to customers.
Now about food,
Originally they started from being best in their maharashtrian cusines and now expanded into many more with next gen trends.
This time we tried their, paneer pistavari, veg ss ( veg egg curry) , kulfi, gulabjam and mughlai lucknowi biryani.
Veg egg curry is pure innovation, i guess made of potato in shape of half cut boiled egg and filled with yellow panner masala in centre which gives a look of half cut boild eggs. Ok to try this at least once.
Gulab jam was fantastic.
Panner pistavari is spicy preparation with chpped pista and other dry fruits in it.
Lucknowi Biryani was simple sober and light in taste as mughlai preparation are anyway mild.

We started our dinner with Manchow soup.. Nice, Hot, Spicy, thick.. was really good... Liked it..
Veg Crispy was good in Taste and the veggies were really Crispy... Spicy Tangy sauce was lip smacking..
Menu is flooded with long list of dishes but I heard a lot about their signature dish Veg Anda curry... Wanted to check out what this was so Ordered it with Butter Nan ...
It turned out to be a super tasty dish😋😍 Nice preparation... The veg egg here was 2 sliced pieces of potato stuffed with paneer... It looked exactly like as an egg would... Curry was too good...

Amazing place, amazing food and amazing serving concepts. It is located on the highway side while coming from Sholapur to Pune. We actually visited Bhuleshwar temple and while returning from there as soon as you touch the highway you would see this place. One of my wife's colleague has suggested her to visit this place for food. And just to have food at this place we made plan to visit bhuleshwar. But it was all worth the travel to that place. I would give 4 and half star to their ambience. All made wid bamboo and bamboo tokris. Wooden furniture adds to the unconventional looks. It has good seating capacity.
The best thing is their menu you would want to try everything they have but your stomach won't allow you so much.
Every item they serve has a unique twist in the way they prepare or in the way they serve or both. Its a pure veg restaurant so non vegetarians have to switch to veg if they actually want to devour the heavenly taste of the food. Since the interior of restro is based on village theme therefore all other things like water glasses and all they have used are earthen glasses. The vegetable soup which they serve in pineapple skin tastes amazing. Butter milk is also very tasty. They have one dish which they call it Veg Egg curry, i liked this dish, the unique thing about this is they prepare panner in egg shape koftas and they actually serve it like egg curry and even the taste is very similar but they are paneer koftas.
Overall i'll give a rating of 5 star to everything i saw, ate and meet there. The complete experience was amazing and if you are planning to visit then try to reach early coz even if they they have good seating capacity but it remains full all the time.

Unique concept.Food is served in earthern ware ecen water is served in earthern bottles.Interiors are simple with a rural look.Great variety of dishes.I had ordered veg manchurian,veg kolhapuri and rotis.Service is prompt.Quantity could be improved as the serving bowl is small in size.Food was tasty.

This is my 250th review. And what best than reviewing a place that I have been frequenting for quite some time.
Remember sharing a feedback to ZOMATO to add on this place a few years back but then I had got a response that the Pune-Solapur road was yet not on Zomato.
Hence when I saw this featured, it was time that I reviewed it.
By now you would have realized that probably only a 5 rating (maybe am being a bit biased, but then its OK) in all my reviews. Yes this one DESERVES that.
Like an Oasis in the a desert, this veg restaurant is what many of the regular commuters on the Pune-Solapur highway plan their trip stoppages around. I remember giving a call from the toll booth while reaching towards this restaurant to have the parcel ready. The chef was kind enough to have the Paneer Tikka (dry) ready though it was not part of the menu then.
This one started as a small place and on each of my visit, the place adds some more carpet area. Saw the pair of Bulls (Oxen) missing this time. That added a touch of the local flavor to the look & feel. I hope they reinstate them again.
The recent stop was only for TEA, as its become customary to have a halt. The service is quick.
P.S. Please do not miss the Misal Pav (traditional style) with loads of serving of the misal gravy for breakfast if you are passing from here in the morning.

This place has always been a stop whenever I'm on this route. Their ambience is amazing, the way they've set up everything village - like is very unique. Another peculiar thing is, they serve water and some other items in clay utensils. We mostly prefer have lunch or dinner here which has always been a delightful experience. But this time we had breakfast, though it wasn't as good as the meals, wasn't disappointing either.
If you're going here, I recommend having a meal instead of breakfast.

Ambiance: lovely well decorated place. Comfortable wooden furniture. Ceilings are bamboo and cane. Neat and clean and welcoming place.
Food: We ordered masala papad which was served in leaf plates. For water clay glasses were there. We ordered one maharashtrian thali, veg diwali handi, nan. Food was quite good. Very good presentation on veg dish.
Service: upto mark and well trained staff.
Cost: good on pocket. And food is value for money.

Food is really fresh and mouth watering..starters such as Paneer Pahari and veg crispy is must try. In main course dal and paneer dishes are better then any veg curry. Mango lassi is must try as appetizers and in desserts jalebi rabdi

The resaturabt is situated on solapur road in urali kanchan.

I have been visiting this hotel for a while. This hotel has grown along with market trends. The latest ambience of hotel gives a feeling of an upmarket restaurant. The food quality of this hotel is consistently excellent. In fact, I would say that over number of years the management has seriously invested in this hotel in raising bar for variety and quality of food delivered without compromising on local food delicacy.
My favourite food here is misal pav, wadapav and masala chai. Good part of hotel is good is served hot and fresh. Latest I visited this hotel today Dec 23, 2017. The winter cold climate was just supportive to have a hot and tasty wadapav and masala chai.
I also like idea that this hotel serves water and tea/ coffee in kullad. It actually adds to flavour of the beverage. The team here is very enthusiastic and hospitable. They would serve you with warmth and smile of face.

this is a place ... if u r traveling towards solapur or towards pune from solapur at the time of lunch or dinner. I will appreciate the simple approach with amazing food. Toilets are amazing ( toilets are most imp while traveling ) . I must admire the menu which serves amazing fusion like tomato-pineapple soup served in cut pineapple. We wanted to visit this place since very long. Decor is really good and different with bamboo work ceilings, earthern water glasses and bottles and soothimg music. We orderd maharashtrian thali. It had 2 bhakris , methi pithala, bharala vanga, raita, kadhi , masalebhat and papad. It came with hot and crispy jalebis. We also ordered veg biryani that came on top of small hot charcol grill. That was really an nice experiance. Aroma of biryani was so fulfilling and we finished all of it in no time. Natural Mango ice cream was outstanding. Evrything was made with details and with atmost perfection be it food, decor, service or atmosphere. When they brought the mouth freshner ( badishep/ saunf) I could immediately smelled the aroma of Chandan. The bowl was made up of pure Chandan. That was so satisfying end of our meal.

As written in other posts, Misal pav here is indeed great in taste. We also liked Sabudana vada and Uttapam. For ice-cream lovers, Gulkand Ice-cream is must have item!
We had been to Yawat for official work. After completing work at around 2.30 p.m., we checked in at Kanchan Veg.

We sat at the table and the attendant was already waiting for the order. This was in sharp contrast to the horrible experience I had at Hotel Pranaam in the morning!
We ordered for 2 Missal Pavs. The order was with us in less than 5 min. We were also given hot Jalebis.,which we didn't order.
Believe me, we really enjoyed both the Missal Pav as well as the Jalebis. The aroma of pure ghee in the Jalebis was really enticing.
We also enjoyed hot masala chai which was served in an earthen pot. Gr8 experience. Surely coming back to try their other specialities.

Visited this place on weekend (03/09/2017).. The place has really nice ambience and very creative use of bamboo and cane can be seen. I liked the use of earthenware which was used to serve most food items.
We had ordered :
1. Misal pav - it is absolutely delicious, a must try!!
2. Soups - cream of spinach and cream of mushroom, drumstick soldier, tomato pineapple
Tomato pineapple soup is a bit sweet. All other soups are really good.
3. Starters- spring rolls: crunchy and tasty
and paneer talwari kebab- nice taste but I would have loved mint chutney with it which was missing.
4. Main course-
Veg S. S - it is an absolute must try! Really good taste.
Veg irani- this medium spicy dish is also their speciality.
Both curries had different taste( which we don't get nowadays in hotels!!)
4. Dessert - Rabadi with jilabi- they serve you hot kesar jilabi with rose petals, highly recommended!!

One of the best vegetarian food I have had in. Years The village type fusion setup is done so nicely, it relaxes u immidiately. Loved the earthern ware they were using to serve . The veg biryani and veg egg curry was ordered on recommendation and we didn't regret a bit. The pineapple raita was good. Overall an amazing experience.
Excellent service and great food presentation. A real gem near Pune that's worth a visit. I usually just went in for their misal served tastefully in clay utensils. Last week went for lunch and tried rajwadi. Awesome dish served in a tender coconut. Must try.

We usually go to this place for breakfast . Its almost 45 km from our home but we enjoy the drive . Misal pav , sabudana vada , and Mysore dosa are my fav . Everyone should Mysore dosa here . They serve tea in traditional clay cups , which i love to hav. Good ambience , but crowded during weekends .

Food and ambience is what makes it take these 3.5 stars. But the staff there can be a bit more polite. And being on a highway they should be serving tea all the time and not make stupid rules like they don't serve tea after 7:30 pm which just actually very annoying. Also when they serve tea, they serve in a khullar/kullad which is supposed to be disposable and not reused for long. Kindly authorities make a note of it and stop reusing it.

Great place on Pune Solapur highway. Its a pure veg restaurant. I would like to talk about ambience as its superb duperb .All woody theme is there. They have decorated place with tokari, wooden chairs even serving plates as well.
About taste truly authentic Maharashtrian . They serve delicious thecha , mango pickle and peanut chatani. Must try Maharashtrian thali full of pithal bhakari,masale bhat,jilebi n all.

Classic maharashtrian food with some sizzling Punjabi dishes are served here. For bhaakri lovers its a perfect place with added 'thechas' on the plate. Ambience glided with unique bamboo articraft to the roof adds some cool exposure to village based Maharashtra. P.S. Gulkand ice cream is a must.

I've been there three tyms and all the 3 times food and service was excellent. All items are good. And dont forget to order Jalebi with rabadi and Gulabjamun with Ice cream in dessert.

Its a a well known place on the highway and very easy to locate.
The place is always filled with people and hence expect some waiting time.
The ambience is excellent.
Food taste, quality and quantity is good. For breakfast I'll recommend Misal Pav. Food quantity justifies the price.
The experience of good food and excellent ambience is completely destroyed by the pathetic service. It seems that the staff is not well aware of their respective work and sometimes they come across as very ignorant and arrogant. Work distribution among the waiters is not proper which often leads chaos and delay in serving the food, especially during rush hours.
Service is one area which definitely needs to be improved to improve the overall experience. Other than the service it was a good experience and I would recommend this place.

I have been going to Kanchan since many years when it was fairly small place. It has grown big now due to their food quality. I never regret visiting this place. All their dishes are flavourful and unique. You can spend time with family or friends here after a long drive from. Pune.

One of the best restaurants you can ever visit. Being on a national highway still it provides a fine dinning type experience. The service here is great with just a bit above average food price range. Taste compared to the other hotels in that area is very good. Also they are under construction for their new restaurant. So there might be a bit waiting hrs when you visit this restaurant.
Had to wait since there was a line and the lady at the front desk seemed too busy to respond, but the food was good and the service was quick. Some of the portion sizes are huge. So, be careful with the quantity you order
A tragic past and new beginning, Kkanchan has a good taste and a very prompt service. The staff is very welcoming and notes down every detail of your order very well. The restaurant is being rebuilt and hence has a temporary sitting. The food was good and has a standard taste. Overall a great experience.

Been here while visiting to bhigwan bird sanctuary and this is my first visit. We had lunch here and we took thali which has bhakri, chapati, 2 sabji, rice sweet n salad. The taste was the best and the staff were friendly. They keep coming n check on us. The restaurant setup seems to be temporary as i see construction is going on on the right side of restaurant and it can be the future location for restaurant. Washroom was good n clean. Recommended place to have food here.
We reached here for the breakfast. There is a lot of parking available here. Hygenic and clean toilets are available here. There is watchmen who guides you for the parking. But we have to wait for a very long time to get our order. We just ordered normal South Indian dishes still they took time to deliver it. Hotel renewation work is still going on so there is a hall kind of area where they placed tables and serve food. That place gave me a wedding dining vibe 😂. Our waiting for order was worth because the food was delicious. Sadha dosa, cut dosa, onion utthappa and sabudana wada was very tasty. It took us around 1 hr to eat breakfast and leave from here.
The overall experience over here was great. Even after an accident of fire at hotel they have made a new ambience for the customers to enjoy food. The previous ambience was too great but this is also good. But what matters is the quality of food. It's delicious and also some of the menu is served in a different way which would definitely attract the customer. The service provided is also good.
Old ambience was way better than the new one!! But still construction is going on so hope for the good things.. taste is too yumm we take halt here every time when we travel from Pune to Solapur.. services also super great!
