We can have very good taste of marine food here. We ordered prawns thali.
Curry was good to taste and fish piece was well cooked and had well spread of masala over it.
Sukki chatni was tasty.
Narial chutney was authentic and tasty.

Fish Curry Rice'- The name says it all. It offers plenty of choices to seafood lovers. Fried fish dishes - Surmai, Ravas, and pomfret are simply outstanding. It was crisp, well-spiced, and delicious.
They do serve mutton, Chicken, and egg in different Konkani curries and spices. We had Surmai (kingfish) curry as well, which was made in a coconut base with just the right amount of hot spice.
The place is clean, has its own vibe and there is a theme of Maharashtrian theater going on.
In short - If you love seafood, you would love this place❤️!!
Thanks, Mr. Sandesh Bhatt & team for yummy seafood & good service.
Being a regular customer of their outlet at SB road branch, I couldn't control myself from visiting them once again but this time at their Baner branch.
Crab thali is always my go to option unfortunately by the time we went over there it was over.
So I ordered
Fish Thali : ****
Following were the items
Surmai fry
Fish curry
Sukat
Soul curry
Chutneys (coconut ones)
Chapati
Bhakri (rice flour)
Fish was fresh and properly fried. Sukat was awesome as always although I always feel they should increase the quantity of Sukat. Both tandlachi bhakri and chapati were served hot. Totally mouth watering taste of every item. Ending it with soul curry made my soul satisfied.
P. S. try chutneys they are really worth it.
Really good restaurant, family friendly and with proper ambience. If you are 80s or 90s kid then you can see old school Marathi theatre pictures on the walls. Nostalgia 😍
.
Overall, if you want to try some goan or Kokani food this is a must try place.
Awesome malvani food in pune.. They had.. many varieties of food( goan, malvani, Konkan) Totally loved the taste. We have ordered fish thali, especially surmai fry is the best one.. which I liked most... I strongly recommend 'Fish Curry Rice' to friends and family..
Long pending and finally went to this place. And also took the dishes different from what all order here. I took egg bhurji, egg curry, rice bhakri and solkadi. And to my surprise all of these were very good. Very tasty bhurji and egg curry loved it. :) now fish and other dishes are pending. Will come again.

Being one of the well known & awarded seafood restaurants in Pune, FCR serves wide variety of coastal seafood cuisine.
Some of the items that I devoured from their menu were
Tiwal:
This is kokum drink consumed as a digestive drink has spicy and tangy tones. #Recommended
Solkadhi:
Delicious drink made with coconut milk and kokum was refreshing.
Bombil thecha fry :
The bombil was crispy on the outside with tender delicious meat on the inside. This was too good. If you are someone who likes spicy food then this is a must try. #Recommended
Rawas Fry: ₹550
Fairly big pieces of Rawas were coated with rava and fried. Now the ones we tried were fried in coconut oil which I thought didn't bring out the flavours much. Also since coconut oil has a low smoke point, it was giving the coating a bit of bitter taste.
Stuffed Bangada: ₹330
Whole bangada fish stuffed with goodness of masalas and fried was delicious. I personally like bangada so this was a good one.
Prawns Aluwadi: ₹450
I somehow could taste more of the regular aluwadi and very little of prawns in this dish. For this experience, the dish feels too overpriced.
We also tried Idli with prawn curry which was a delicious combination of kotte idli, prawns curry and prawns tikhale( a tangy thick curry). The hot and spongy idlis went perfectly with the curries. #Recommended
FCR has a specific curry for each kind of fish/meat and it is the same always. There are total 7 delicious curries but for someone who likes medium spicy to very spicy food may find some fish curries bland/less spicy.
Ended our meal with the regular kharwas which was delicious as coffee kharwas wasn't available.
The coconut chutneys , cauliflower salad served with the appetizers was complimenting the food.
The Baner branch has a bigger seating area compared to the law college branch. The ambience is soft & warm.
Didn't try any of the thalis but their rates seems to be bit over the board. So overall had a good time here & will come back for their thali and coffee kharwas.
Finally visited this award-winning restaurant with high hopes and guess what? They upheld my high hopes with their yummy seafood, light Marathi music in the background and a pleasant ambience. The place is decorated with awards and photos of the various plays that were produced by the owners of Fish curry rice. The logo itself is interesting which depicts a fish head with a brinjal as the tail showing a mix of seafood, chicken, mutton and vegetable dishes in the menu.
The first item on the menu had to be Bombil thecha fry, which is the regular Bombil stuffed with thecha (a spicy green chilli preparation) and then fried, giving a nice, crispy and medium-spicy taste. Crunchy and brittle on the outside and soft, almost buttery on the inside, this delicacy acted as an appetizer to a seafood meal.
The next item was the Chonak fish fry, a Goan special. At Fish curry rice, the owner wants to spread awareness about the variety of fish available and hence you'll always find a new type of fish on the specials menu.
Prawns Aluwadi, a delicious twist to the usual Aluwadi, caught my eye. Minced prawn meat stuffed in the aluwadi. The difference is so subtle that only a seafood lover can spot it.
Rawas fry is another appetizer that I tried here and it was quite tasty. The fried fish here is served hot on your plate. Tival and Solkadhi perfectly accompany the fried fish.
Before you order the main course, ask for a sample plate of curries and you'll receive an assorted platter of curries. You can choose the type of fish and the curry to cook it in. I opted for the prawns curry and it was delicious! Served with a side of Khotte idli and prawns tikhale, it turned out to be a great combination. I haven't tried the vegetable dishes here yet but will definitely update my review whenever I do.
You'll find limited options in desserts here, mainly because the seafood meals are quite heavy on the stomach. But I was delighted to see Kharvas on the menu and immediately went for it. Kharvas is made from the first form of milk produced by a cow within 2-3 days of giving birth. Many people don't know about kharvas and I have found myself describing it to people on quite a few occasions. The Kharvas here has a smooth texture and is sweet, soft and moist. Definitely a perfect dish to end your meal here.
As someone with a Konkani family background, the food here tasted exactly like the home-cooked one with the same style of cooking and the use of similar ingredients and spices. Whenever I have visited this place, I have always found atleast one family speaking in Konkani. The restaurant here has tried to replicate the authentic Konkani style of cooking and is quite successful at doing so. I visited this restaurant last week and I have already come back here twice! You'll know what I'm talking about when you visit Fish curry rice.
I was recently here for my Dinner at Fish Curry Rice and I always wanted to visit this place as lot of people recommended this place for their numerous offerings in fish and for what they stand out for is the taste. They have been nominated for the food award too.So starting with my journey here, I was first served Tival which is spicy kokum drink, but really good, followed with I had Solkadhi which is made with coconut milk and kokum which actually helps body to fight diseases. Solkadhi taste actually the same what is prepared in my home so totally loved it.Starting with fish 1. Bombil Thecha Fry:- It is a very delicate fleshy fish which is covered with thecha made with green chillies and fried further giving amazing taste.2. Rawas:- It is a fried fish coated with sooji and totally tasty 3. Chonak:- FCR have introduced this fish newly in their menu and has small pieces are served with 2 chutney. Fried in Coconut oil to make it less oily on hands and plate.4. Stuffed Bangda:- Bangda has very strong smell and taste and to reduce that it was very beautifully marinated and green chilly paste was stuffed in it to enhance the flavours.Further we had Idli with Prawn Curry:- So the plate includes two fluffy idlis with two different kinds of curry, one is red in colour and is tangy and one is orange which is mild and had goan flavours to it.We completed our dinner on sweet note with Kharwas and i must say this is the second place in Pune that serves lipsmacking Kharwas. Totally a must visit place for all the sea food lovers out there.
Fish curry rice is one of the best place to have seafood in Pune. The restaurant is awarded with the best seafood in Pune and also nominated this year as well.
The ambience was pretty good with yellow lightings and walls were covered with Marathi movies pictures.
Firstly we were served with tival. A welcome drink made of kokam. It was sweet and spicy.
Then we had solkadhi another drink made of kokam and coconut milk. It was so refreshing.
Talking about the food we tried:
✓ Bombil thecha fry: Fried bombil fish crispy outside and soft inside, stuffed with famous Maharashtrian spicy chutney thecha.
✓ Ravas: Fried fish coated with rava. Crispy and delicious. Highly recommend.
✓ Chonak fish: Chonak is one of the famous fish mostly available in Goan fish market. So if you visit this place do give it a try.
✓ Prawns aluwadi: Tasted quite similar to usual aluwadi. It was aluwadi stuffed with minced prawns pieces and masala.
✓ Tried 7 different types of curries that includes curry of prawns, mutton, chicken, crabs, fish etc.
✓ Idli with two types of Goan curry: fluffy idlis served with red and orange colour prawns curry. The red curry was tangy yet delicious. The other one was flavourful and comforting.
✓ We ended our meal with kharwas. Kharwas is a Indian milk pudding. It was my first time that I tasted kharwas and I totally loved it.
This outlet on Baner road is much more spacious than the one at law college road. The indoor seating is comfortable and accomodates large groups very well. It is worth noting that the kitchen is clean and tidy with every person inside wearing headcaps.
Apart from the usual thalis, some of the appetisers like their bombil thecha fry, rawas fry and chonak fry are a few items you wouldn't think to order at Fish Curry Rice but would definitely treat your taste buds.
The bombil thecha fry is newly added to the menu and it is just bomb! Definitely my favourite out of the rest. Chonak is a kind of fish only used in goan preparations which I tried for the first time.
I also tried the prawns alu wadi which is exactly like your normal maharashtrian alu wadi stuffed with prawns and masala. This I would say is worth trying once. The stuffed bangda fry wasn't my favourite since I am no fan of bangda.
Their curries are amazing to the taste and always the same for each different fish, each time you visit. Apparently they never mix different curries together. In their ongoing goan festival they've introduced something called a kotte idli which is served along with prawns curry and a tangier version of goan curry.
The kharwas here is yummy but I missed out on the coffee kharwas which I heard is amazing. Definitely trying that the next time.
If you are a seafood lover, then visit the best restaurant for seafood named "Fish Curry Rice" (yes, they have been nominated and also awarded).
Fish Curry Rice is a very cosy place to have dinner with friends and family. The ambience is really nice with wooden seating arrangements and walls are full with pictures of old Marathi movies and plays.
Now lets talk about food.
Started with the welcome drink, Tival, a spicy Kokam Sharbat served in little bowls. Also after that, we were given Solkadhi, very refreshing, spicy and tangy.
Now lets talk about the fish we were served.
Bombil_Thecha_Fry : Bombil stuffed with thecha, a spicy green chillies mixture. Its deep fried in Coconut oil. (Note : As the restaurant prefer some healthy cooking , so mostly cooking are done in Coconut Oil). Little spicy but really good to have.
Surmai_Fry : Surmai is coated with Rawa and deeply fried. The Fish was crunchy and juicy. #Must-try
Stuffed_Bangda : Stuffed with varieties of masala, the fish was fried nicely. Crispy and juicy at same time. Spices used were also really good.
Prawns_aluwadi : Normal wadi with a twist. It was good and yummy.
Chanak : This is newly introduced in the menu. The fish was nicely cooked. Crispy and tasty.
Idlis_ with_ prawns_curry : Nice, fluffy and soft idlis served with prawns curry and a red tangy chutney. The curry was also nicely cooked. #highlyrecommended
Kharwas : Lastly served was Kharwas, a milk pudding ( also a local delicacy) was sweet and yummy.
Overall experience was nice. I am not so knowledgeable about the fishes. But the variety of fish served here is amazing. Purely heaven for fish lovers.
The best place to have seafood in Pune! They have recived awards for 'Best seafood' and they do live up to their reputation!
The service, preparation, taste, ambience - everything was up to the mark!
My experience with the food,
I tried their,
Tiwal - appetizer cum welcome drink. Basically made of Kokam and it literally wakes your tastebuds up! Hint of spice and tangy flavour!
Solkadhi - The mandatory one! Any seafood meal is incomplete without this! Their solkadhi was satisfactory.
Types of curries - They have 7 different types of curries to calm your cravings! Chicken, mutton, crab, prawn, bangda, surmai curries are also included with Tambda pandhra rassa!
Bombil thecha fry - if you're a spice lover, this is the best starter for you! What I liked about the taste was it has that zesty and spicy flavour and is still light on your stomach. It is a challenge to maintain the spices so that it doesn't get overwhelmingly hot for the customers and they've nailed this one!
Stuffed bangda - Real goan flavours stuffed in a fish, what more do you want?! A little tricky to eat this one for sure since it has many little bones but is delicious!
Rawas fry - my personal favourite here! Crispy and perfectly flavoured dish! It was too delicious to eat! A must try here! Quantity was sufficient!
Chounak fish - Pronounced as 'Chanak', they have recently introduced this one and they serve it bite size. Tastes different and tasty. Goes well with the chutneys served!
Prawns Aluvadi - Pure maharastra on a plate! (In Marathi, the leaves are called Aloo/alu), This dish is made of colocasia leaves and is a layered treat filled with gram flour paste! It is popular in Gujarat as well and is known as Patra.
When I tasted this here, at first all I could taste was a simple aluvadi. You an taste prawns towards the end and it is a surprise element. Though I would've preferred some more prawn stuffing! But still, the taste was great.
Idli with Prawns curry - A unique dish indeed! Have never had Idli with seafood before and this one totally rocked! The curry was tasty and less oily to my surprise. They cook their food with minimum oil possible and it was a relief. Idli went well with the curry. They make the idli with banana leaves, the traditional style which makes them even tastier!
Kharvas - My favourite dessert! They've nailed the kharvas. It is a dish made of cow/buffalo colostrum. It is sweet and has wiggly texture! The most amazing thing to eat!
The ambience is neat and clean. The service is good and the staff is well informed about all the dishes. The food is simply great, though you'd have to spend a little more, I would still recommend this place for some amazing seafood experience! Cheers!
Did you just smell something 'fishy'?
Ofcourse you did!!!! Coz @fishcurryrice, Baner Pune is offering you everything fishy!!
You won't ever miss the malwani tadka ever again in Pune. The Goan and Konkani style dishes with their monochromatic ambience are going to give you something to look forward to everytime you are in and around Baner!

This would be my third trip to FCR. Had visited the Kanya shala branch and later on the law college restaurant. The service the food all remains the same. One of the best places in pune to have real malvani taste. Seafood is fresh. We had crab curry thali and promfet thali. A few words finger licking good. My wife just cleared her plate out like it was her last meal.
#excellentfood #fingerlicking #mustvisit

1. Surmai fry
2. Bharlela bangda
3. Sukat
4. Prawan fry
5. Solkadi

I would highly recommend this restaurant for seafood lovers and Goans !
Only suggestion to the managment is : Please have room freshner in the restaurant as the smell of raw fish circulates across the restaurant. This needs to be avoided !
Good khichdi but portion small considering the charges. Delivery before time. Thanks

Love love love their fish curry rice combo. Like I might have ordered couple of times from here but always forgot to review this place. Me being a Goan can very well judge a fish curry from the smelk itself! And their fish curry literally makes my mouth water 😋
Right flavours, right amount of oil, right spice! What more does anyone look for! Moreover another good this is their fish fry doesn't have oil oozing out unlike many other places which is what I like about this place. Only drawback I could see is prices are a bit on the higher side, so yea if that could be lowered a bit this place would definitely get 5 stars! Overall very good place to order from if you crave for some authentic seafood! I would say blindly go with it 👍
Ambiance was good comparatively. Unfortunately crab was not available, but the dishes we ordered were really tasty. Nice cozy place.
I visited this place yesterday. This is on Baner main road so everyone must have seen it..
My experience with this hotel was very good.
Taste is upto the mark and service is very good as well. I personally like amboli or bhakari with seafood which was not available and chapati which was given was very very thin. Rest everything was fine.
I would rate,
Food - 5/5
Ambience - 4/5
Service - 5/5
Taste - 4.5/5
Fish, Curry & Rice is on the top of my list of restaurants, which i would recommend the non-veg (especially fish lovers). The love with which the chefs prepare the fish curries and fries is tested immediately with the delicious taste. The fish & rice thali combination is enough to induce to visit again.
I would have visited this place at least 5 times in last 6 months. Sometimes I order the food online, however suggestion is to have the pleasure of being served and eat the steaming hot food. It adds the taste to another level. The prawns, the special type of coconut chatni & kokam sarbat they serve with the thali complements the food excellent.
Guys, go for it and try out the thali's and let me know your comment.
Good quality food. Tasty fish fry, prawns curry and loved the chutneys too.
Fish curry rice, baner outlet never fails to impress with their quality of food they serve and the service they offer :)
Been there for number of times with friends and family, and everytime falls in love with a taste of seafood. Be it a pomfret or a bangada , but the way they serve fry or in gravy is lip smacking.
I do find the welcome drink they serve Tivan more tastier than Solkadi.
You can give a try to Aamras too in summer , its tasty.
I usually avoid desi seafood preparations in restaurants, just because I am from a family where fish used to be prepared for lunch and dinner. And such is the taste of the homemade stuff that usually, few restaurants measure up.
I can count the seafood restaurants which has been up to the mark on my fingers. This one does. And it is unpretentious.
I was in the restaurant with my family for lunch today for the nth time and the food quality and consistency is remarkable.
One of my favourite for fish & rice and recommend everyone to try out once. You will fall in love with the food. The staff is friendly.
Don't go there for decor or grandness... It's purely for love of coastal food.
Try fish thalis, chicken thali, pomfret fish fry.

Had a wonderful experience at new outlet of Fish Curry Rice. Really excited to visit this place because I'm big fan of Maharashtrian, Goan and Kokani seafood. And it's totally worth it.
1) They are serving highly consistent quality food from decades with authentic Maharashtrian and Goan seafood cuisine.
2) This is a amazing place for those who love Goan curry and fish lovers.
3) Serving different varieties of fish with mouthwatering flavors and unique taste.

As its law College road. It Carries the same leagacy. The perfect place for fish and prawns.
Thought it is much spacious and has more seats as compared to law College road branch.
We ordered surmai fish thali, ravas fry and prawns fry
The thali was superb with 2 bhakari. The fish curry was good But the prawns curry was awesome. I loved it and ordered some more prawns curry. They charged for the extra curry , which is not charged in law College road branch. (Plz note this)
The ravas fry was soft and had 3 huge pieces loved it.
The prawns fry was good, but love the crispy prawns. They were not fully crispy.
Order kharwas one plate. It had more then required sugar. More sweet that I like.
It was a huge rush and the service was slow.
The owner himself came and greeted us. He also enquired about our well being.
Thanks Fish curry rice will soon come again.
Fish curry rice is always my go to place. Ive been several times to the law college road outlet, my last visit was the Baner one.
Ambience is elegant and pretty decent.
As you enter you could see the numerous awards won by the restaurant for its quality and consistency throughout the ages.
Coming to food, it has never been disappointing to me. Perfect balance of spices and flavours, fresh seafood and top notch service is what Fish Curry Rice is known for.
Had some soul satisfying dinner which started on with
▪Bombil Fry
Hot, crispy, fresh ,deep fried Bombil is perfect way to start off your meal.
▪Lasooni Pompret Fry (this was definitely my favourite) nicely marinated fish with that extra lasoon pleasure is such a pleasure.
▪Kismur (Dry fish Salad)
▪Surmai Palamunji 5/5
▪Mutton kheema ghotala
▪Muddhushe Fry
▪Solkadhi ft SOULKADHI
▪Jirmirya Kadhi
And in Thali's
▪Combination thali
Consisting of rice, curry and pomfret fry along with 2 types of chutneys, cauliflower salad and slice of lemon-onion to go with.
▪Goan Fish Thali
It included rice, curry, fish fry, tisrya, akha masoor curry, dry fish salad and also the chutney, cauliflower salad to go with.
I tried Tisrya for the first time and definitely in love with it.
▪Lastly finishing of with beautifully made so delicious dessert- COFFEE KHARWAS.
So soft , that it literally melts in your mouth.
And the flavour of coffee with kharwas was magical and unique..
*Guys don't miss on this I tell y'all.
Fish in each and every preparation was fresh and cooked perfectly.
They have worked even on their minute details such as the chutney they serve along with fish preparations and thalis is so perfect.
Everything was super delicious and nothing to complain about.
Staff is courteous and keen to help you out in making right choices.

I'm definitely going back to try Prawns aaluwadi and Bombil Thecha fry.

Food is very testy mouth liking, quality wise food ,full desi type but very good restaurant, I recommend this place for foods, they have many types of recipes
I went there for the second time with my mom and she totally loved it❣️ The ambience was amazing. The staff are really kind and friendly. Also the food was served hot and it was really tasty... It's the best place for fish delicacies ✌️😊
I cannot help but give this place a 5! Was out with my partner who wanted some Malvani kind of food.
The striking thing about this place is it's ambience! A high roof with a ground, a pseudo mezzanine and a proper mezzanine floor, which gives it a hugely yet classy feel.
The place was abuzz with activity. The person's who waited on you moved about with an air of confidence that they know what you want better than yourself! That is my kind of place!
The first thing you are given at the table is kokum concentrate in a katora to mix in your water! How delightful!
The mix kacharya is something you will defiitelyl not see in the menu, and will be suggested after much coaxing. But it was a lovely vegetarian crossover of a fish fry and bhajia.
My partner had a Fish Thali with the pomfret. The Pomfret fry and the prawns were really fantastic as per her well trained palate.
The vegetarian thali (yes yes I know) was wonderful too! I added in a Half fry with it, which was so perfectly done with a perfect ooze out of the yellow! A special mention of the paalak which was aspirational!
Definitely recommended for people who want a really classy yet rustic experience of food!
Superb..mind blowingly fantastic food!
Finally found an awesome place for fish in Pune. Fish curry rice (originally in Narayan peth now moved to Baner, has a branch on Law college road as well) has awesome prawns curry, tisrya masala and crab/khekda masala. Transported me back to Goa. 😛😋😋
Totally recommend you to try this one!

The food is really good and the staff is really nice especially morai is evry nice and knows the food very well
Food is yummy and the restraunt is very welcoming
Would diffinatly recommend
A nice place for seafood especially surmai, pomfret and lot of other varieties. A number of options are available on the menu to select which range from basic curry rice to a full fledged thali which includes most of the items. Overall a good place to have seafood given the limited options that exist in the locality.
I am very thankful to this restaurant/zomato for delivering to my location which is at Pimple Saudagar and feel its a bit distant to them. I had previously visited them with family and I enjoyed the Surmai Fish Thali. The taste was exactly the same when I ordered it at home, so I am really glad for them to maintain the consistency. Coming at the fish curries, they are not spicy at all. Although I love spicy food but these curries are on a different level - some may find them a bit bland but if you relish the authentic taste of fish and don't like it getting spoiled with too much masala - this is the place to be. All in all thumbs up, well done!
All my hunting gets over either with a close friend or office colleagues / friends at the perfect space for a lunch meeting and we ordered Fish Thali and a vegetarian Thali , so my surprise - it was delicious and tasty as my friend had four Bhakris and we ordered extra Surmai fish fry for the occasion and relished and cherished the food with all our heart and stomach was full to the brim.
A good interesting place as all time favorite Marathi folk songs will be playing at the background and service is on time and special attention were given maybe since we were the first customer fore the day . Pay a visit ( must) and enjoy the non veg and veg delicacy ......
Best sea food place I hv even been too , comimg from bombay was looking for a good seafood place and I passed this place & just walked in , not knowing I was walking in heaven :)). They r so generous with their portions & the size of their surmai fry is shockingly huge. Pls try their prawns aluwadi, bomBil thecha fry it’s out standing. For vegetarians their potatoe chips r to die for 😍😍. Extremely friendly staff a Must visit place.
Fish Curry Rice is definitely one of the best places in town to get your fix for Goan food. The chicken curry and rice are representative of a terrific home cooked meal. The chicken sukka and chapati combo taste delightful. The only concern I'd have is that sometimes the food may be oily.
This place is amazing filled with lots of options when you are sea food lover. Must recommend place . You can try different variants of fried sea food thalis here.We had ordered mutton bombil and pomfret with prawns and trust me i was delited . Place is bit pricy but worth spending every penny. Place had been received numerous awards in recent past . I am big food lover and placing this restaurant in my reviews for everyone to pay visit .
In short :
Food: 4/5 , Go for Fish Thali Variants
Staff : 4/5
Ambience : 4/5 , Marathi Theme
Food Delivery : 3/5 , Worth waiting but could been quicker
Hope U love the food , Ciao food junkies 🥗🍳🍲😋
Although haven't been there for a dine in, I've ordered food about 3-4 times from here, and have never been let down. The egg curry, chicken curry combos with Chapati have just about the right quantity for a meal for 1, and although they are slightly spicy, they catered to my taste perfectly! Would love to try out fish the next time!
Awesome Fish dishes. You can choose from Ala carte to THalis.
If you are not a Fish eater you have choice of Mutton and Chicken.
If you are craving for good food without having to taste the fishiness of fish, this is the place to be in.
Service is simple and very crisp, they take care of their guests.
Taste and freshness was there however Jes missing on quantity.Could have increased a bit more on gravy ..pieces we were gud but gravy was less proportionaly.Taste wise all was balanced.
Value for money-5/5
Food-4/5
Ambience -4/5
Service-5/5
This cuisine being my favourite I have tried most of the seafood places in town, this one will be my 2nd favourite.
Excellent food service and cleanliness. Perfect - must try if around that area for fish thali . I tried signature fish curry rice thali and my friend tried Rawas fish thali along with bombil fry . Must must visit if you like coastal and seafood
This has to be you go to place if you are a sea food lover. Fresh fish and amazing dishes. Staff is very courteous and will suggest the best in the kitchen. My personal favourite is bombil sandwich and surmai pulimungi. Must visit !!
Must visit place for sea food lovers and even better if you are fond of Malvani and Goan curry. We tried their special fish thali and it was awesome. You can try varieties of fish fry items if not interested in curry.
Price is reasonable, ambience is ok, service is good. They have enough parking space.

Very good surmai fry and bangda fry. bangda fry is different compared to other hotels, they remove fish head from fry piece and it looks nice while eating.
Perfectly cooked Goan pomfret Curry. Had all the correct flavors of kokam and coconut milk and two pieces of fish. As is with any fish curry, you always end up feeling that there was more fish, but that's just the feeling of a foodie :)

The space is little cozy but a good place for fish lovers. Quite. Good variety of menu and dishes. I would recommend people to visit if you are a sea food lovers
Located on Baner-Pashan Link Road , Fish Curry Rice is known for serving some delicious fish dishes since quite some time. One must surely try out dishes such as surmai fry, chounak fry,Goan Thali, prawns fry and more.
The price might be slightly on a higher side but this is totally justified with the taste and making of each dish. The fish was very fresh and overall final dish was quite tasty and fulfilling. It’s an ideal place for families and even to go with your friends. Overall had a good experience and loved each and every dish. The service was good.
Rava fish is good in taste.Must try rava pomfret. Serves fresh fish.
Veg options are not so good. So will recommend for only fish lovers.
If you’re badly craving for a fish meal or wanted to try something authentic fish fry, jump into the world of freshly prepped fish dishes and the taste of fish just steals your heart, though there are a bit expensive and you’ll have to step in with a ample budget!
This place is inside from main road, food quality is ok , but cost is on higher side as compared to other places.we ordered surmai n bangra thali. Prawns koliwada
Tasted Surmai Thali. Awesome, one of the best surmai eaten. This was much better than I had in dapodi, divegar.
We have early dinner. So we ordered in the afternoon for delivery early in the evening as suggested by restaurant. This turned out to be ideal for us. Everything arrived just in time at 7:15pm, all hot and fresh. Taste was awesome as always and fish fresh.
Thank you Fish Curry Rice. 👌👍👏🙏
No doubt the best place in Pune for seafood. Must try their Surmai and Pomfret thalis. You can also go for Fish curry, rice and fish fry combination. Portion size in thali is more than sufficient for one person. Also, fish fry is big in size to satisfy your craving and hunger, very delicious.
Amazing food and service. Was traveling from nashik. Reached there by 3.05pm. The kitchen just got closed but the Ajinkya (waiter) had a word with the chefs and served one of the best fish thali I had. Try the prawns fry as well. Super tasty.
Recently I happened to visit this famous restaurant known for their speciality in seafood. As it was my first time to try seafood, I decided to go for a brand name, and hence landed here.
Started off the lunch with a fusion appetizer; Prawns Aluwadi. Yes you heard it right. The filling in between the leaves is made of minced prawns mixed with spices. This is a must try here.
Pomfret lasooni fry: A huge pomfret well marinated with garlic masala and fried on both the sides. Simply delicious.
Surmai naked fry: 2 Thick pieces of the Kingfish, pan fried with just a pinch of salt n pepper. The authentic flavourful taste in every bite of surmai is heavenly.
Goan Prawns curry, Karwari Bangda curry, steamed rice, solkadhi: The prawns curry was my personal favorite, when mixed with rice and a bit of solkadhi aaahhh. Trust me there's nothing more blissful at that moment. I didn't like the bangda curry much maybe due to my insufficient knowledge about it's taste.
The owner is really a good person with perfect knowledge about seafood right from preparation to the way of eating. As it was my first time, he guided me how to go about it and as a result I enjoyed my meal to it's fullest.
Truly a heaven for seafood lovers
Great good if u like fish. You will get excellent and fresh sea food.
Mouth watering taste.
Quick service.
Budget friendly.
Must try crab and tisrya thali or separate dishes also available.
We went there on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. This is a very authentic tasting place with good quality and quantity. We had the fish thali and we couldn't even finish the whole thing. We did add the bombil which was delicious!
Fish... Being my most favorite ❤️ thing, I just can't resist it. I always hop around the places to try new varieties of fish thalis. And now my search ends here.
This place is a fine fine experience for your family and scrumptious finger licking food is a cherry on the top.
This place is no doubt the best sea food place in the town. This year also they won the TIMES NOW award for best sea food restaurant. They have kept the menu simple and kept the food authentic as its prepared in the coastal region of the Maharashtra. They love for food is seen in each and every dish. And they have amazing spread of mains and fish dish all of which have different taste. And most important thing is the freshness of the fish they serve. One of the finest sea food place in Pune.
The food was amazing. We were looking for a restaurant and everything was closed except of this place. Very friendly people and very good food. They have not only fish. You can also eat chicken.
Recently visited Fish Curry Rice ( multiple outlets in Pune)
This place is for sure heavenly for sea food lovers.
Talking about the food
I tried prawns aluwadi , lasooni paplet , bombil thecha fry , Surmai fry , Goan prawns curry , Karwari Bangda curry.
All of these were unique and authentic in taste.
Prawns aluwadi was something I tried for the first time and will be most preferable dish amongst all the starters.
Lasooni paplet , paplet served with stuffing of masala having base ingredient as lasoon giving a intense lasoon flavour to the paplet.
Bombil thecha fry , stuffed with authentic thecha , this one has a mild spicy taste.
I also tried their curries also tried it in the authentic way rice + curry + solkadi ( quantity same as curry poured)
This was the first time ever I tried this combination but tasted amazing.
And will continue eating it in the same manner whenever I try fish , curry and rice.
