Wonderful place to have Maharashtrian (Kokanst) Food. They have 2 restaurants, 1 for snacks and 2nd for Maharashtrian Thali. But this is not the new age Thali but a typical Maharashtrian Homely thali which include veggis like Aluchi Bhaji, Batata Bhaji, etc. The Taste is authentic Marathi, more particularly Kokanasti. Thali comes with full plate unlimited meal with a wonderful sweet dish (Srikand or Fruit Srikant or Custard, etc). Its simply awesome. The Snacks restaurant is also wonderful with authentic marathi snacks such as Misal, Dadpey Pohe, Kichadi, sheera, etc. What i liked the most was Ghavney (typical kokani version of neer dosa). They also have a short and long type of meal, like single missal pav as well as a missal thali (which includes other items along with missal pav). Its close to Swargate and is located on the main S.P. Road (next to Tilak Hall). Place is small so gets cramped during lunch hours, but service is fast. Parking is a big issue so avoid taking ur own car. Overall its a good place to have food.

Nice authentic Maharashtrian place with old world charm. Something from the bygone era. It's more than 60 years old and actually looks that old. I felt it's slightly pricey for what it offers but anyway it is a great place after you are fasting or if you are nearby and want to eat something truly Maharashtrian. Parking for car is next to impossible but bikes can be managed somehow.

It took 15 years to visit Badahahi. When I wanted to visit in 2007, Badshahi was under renovation. Just visited. Too crowded in the afternoon. Parking is a bit of an issue but when we entered they helped us get the table. We ordered a Misal. Fantastic. We had Misal Pav like nobody is around us.

One of the oldest pure vegetarian food joint in Pune city. Famous for its Upvas (fasting) menu. Taste is really great. Always a crowded place. Quantity is large for most of the dishes but yes, this place is costly. Staff is very attentive, service is fast. Upvas misal, and variety of upvas baskets is most popular dishes amongst food lovers here. A must place you need to visit for unique menu and unique taste.

The food was good. They serve variety upavas special dishes. Upvas thali, misal, ghavane are really good. Kharwas was really good. The interior reminds olden days hotels. It's a good joint to taste variety of dishes. They don't have any parking space, so one need to find space in nearby lanes.

A good place for quick breakfast/snacks. I accidentally tried onion uttapam, and it is absolutely not recommended. Maharashtrian dishes are good. Service was slow. Being an old place, ambiance is decent. It's very popular among the locals. And have footfall of many regular/daily customers. Don't dare to take any vehicle, there is no parking facility.

Taste of food is very good. Service is also nice. Quality food served. You can get a variety of typical Maharashtrian breakfast options here like misal, batata wada, pohe, sabudana khichdi and many more other options as well like idli ,dosa etc. Their upwas kachori is a must try. Also they have seasonal juices like raw mango, guava, amla, kokam etc. Rates are a bit on the higher side though .
