Great place for a full packed Rajasthani lunch or dinner. Variety of menu on their list. All items taste super delicious. Must try their special ghee chapati and chaas.
Ahhaa!! Yaar I’m missing this place food!! This place serves worlds best papad Churi I can say!! I’m a big fan of papad Churi and Chaas!! ❤️u people please open a branch in Hyderabad soon😍
It is one of the best family restaurant. Must try “limited thali” that includes 3 special chapati, one paneer veg, 2 special veg, basmati rice, dal fry, papad, one glass chaas and sweet dish. Special chapati (ghee dipped) and chaas are their speciality. Yummy food, prompt service and courteous staff. “ Ghar ka Khana” jaise taste 😋😋
Yesterday i visited that outlet, believe me it was suprb experience..
The staff was frndly with us and suggest for best food.

First visit to Pune and roaming around the area for shopping, came across this restaurant by change, It was peak lunch hour and it was crowded with a hall full of people waiting to be seated, we were hungry and tired to even try going somewhere else and decided to wait. We got seated 30 min later, they did well managing the crowd and allocating seats. Again, the moment we saw Thali, we just went for it as we assumed it would be the fastest to get on the table and we were not wrong, but what we did not expect was the portion of each Thali, we ordered one each for a family of five including a kid and it was just so much food. Though everything tasted good, it was heavy and our appetite did not allow us to complete everything. Ghee Chapati, Chaas, Veg curry, Dal and sheera were all good ! Wish they had informed us whilst ordering that it was too much for us which they should ! Service however was quick. They had a lot of wait staff and food kept coming out of kitchen in quick time.
I’ve literally taken Americans and Canadians to this place, everyone just falls in love the food is finger licking tasty. #musttry
Sunday m visited to these hotel and I ordered dal baati and I like it.its spicy and proper mixture of indian masala.i ordered then bhendi fry I also like it.its crispy nd good in taste.the buttermilk also very nice.the hotel is very relaxing and nice to visit. visit the r bhagat it's nice place to visit.
The papad churra is also famous dish.
This place is a legendary outlet in Mumbai. Went there for a lunch on weekday. Had dal baati, papad churi, buttermilk, ghee chapati and panner Tikka masala sabzi. Everything was rightly cooked and had the best of ingredients. Buttermilk and papad churi stood out from the rest. Papad churi is a mixture of papad and various spices which was tangy and spicy at the same time. Buttermilk is served in a glass bottle and was very refreshing. Overall a decent restaurant to visit.
Simply awesome food. Amazing taste and great service. The service is very quick and fast. The food is delicious. Must visit for vegetarian food lovers.

One of the oldest restaurant "R Bhagat"..
Taste is awesome.
Here is the list that we ordered:
1. Fired malsa papad
2. Panner pasanda, chapati
3. Dal takda rice.
4. Most delicious part is Mala Rabadi..
5. Bottle of chass
One of the best family restaurant in Pune. Food is fresh and tasty. Quantity is good. Ambience is good - AC section. Punjabi dishes are yummy. Especially butter roti with lots of butter on it. Service is good. Buttermilk is excellent. Also papad chura and all those related food items are equally good. Centrally located, parking is a big problem. Better visit this place by a rickshaw, cab or public transport.
Want to have authentic Rajasthani food.
Head to this place. Love how they serve buttermilk which is so masaledar.
Their papad ki churri is finger licking with caramelized onions which makes it yummier
And rest assured their food is just awesome.
Only thing it's a long waiting hence call or book before you go.
Ah! What a treat. After going crazy in the extremely crowded city side, we chose to have our lunch here and oh boy I'm so glad i made that decision. We called for roasted masala papad which was good. Next, we called for Paneer Kadhai and special rotis. The quantity served was enough for 3 people. Paneer kadhai was sumptuous and the special rotis were a treat to the taste buds. I've never had such tasty rotis filled with loads of butter in my life.

After long time..I have tasted wonderful vegetarian dishes..
Give this a shot..u won't regret..
One More..place is थोडासा congested..so don't judge by place..
Wonderful taste..
Amazing food and that chaach and that halwa.

The overall experience was great. Great place to have family dinners and kitty parties as well .
Been there few months back but can still remember the taste of food.R Bhagat Tarachand is well known for veg food. It is situated at 5 mins walking distance from Dagdusheth temple. It is on 2nd Floor in a complex. If you are out for shopping on Laxmi road and want to have Maharashtrian cuisine, you should visit this place. Service is good but you may have to wait to get a table. Food quality is good.
Located in the very busiest and well known area of the city. A typical family and a decent dine out place I must say. Little bit expensive on the VfM side, but as the name suggests we sometimes pay for the tag. However you will love the food.
A good family really to eat when you visit Laxmi road market. I could predict from the local crowd over there that the place will be worth eating and infact it came out to be. Courteous staff and tasty food.
Amazing and authentic food and upto its name. Good if you want relish vegetarian food. A food seems to be simple just like home made one. Bit pricey but still worth it.
Amazing place the service is good and the staff is really humble. The food is completely made in desi ghee which takes the food experience to new level. The quality of food served is exceptional. The best part we liked is the butter milk the way they served it. Overall a nice places for good vegetarian food.
Was at pune few weeks before and visited at this place which hardly 5 mins walking from Dagduseth halwai temple its smilar to Mumbai K bhgat tarachand but if we compare their menu then they have little less option
I tried their thali for which they are famous and seriously loved it the food was very delicious the rotis or sabji were hot service was also very quick and the ambience is alo nice overall it was nice experience
Thali ,maharaja thali,You get a feel of pure pure rajwadi style cuisine,a glimpse of panjabi daal tadka also very mouth watering, must visit with family ,if you are exausted with shopping on Laxmi road ,you must go this hotel it ia at walkable distance on Laxmi road .
#desi.. rotis filled with ghee, the sabzi was too delicious. The fastest service that I have ever seen. The only problem is that there is no parking slot given. Otherwise the service, the ambition etc. was great enough
I loved the taste so much in Mumbai that I especially visited the Pune outlet to re-live my experience ! 😍
This one is located at a very prime area on Laxmi Road on the 2nd floor in a shopping complex. Seating arrangement is very spacious and comfortable with both AC and Non-AC sections. Staff is very polite, helpful and always smiling. It added to my fine dine experience.
Coming to food :
TAWA CHAPATI - Very soft and home like.
PLAIN NAAN - 1 is enough for a person if you wish to try other delicious items too.
DAL FRY - It is very hard to replicate the wonderful taste at home. Must try this one !!
BHINDI FRY - Loved it. It is a bit salty than normal but that's the beauty of it. If you are advised not to eat much salt, then avoid but otherwise this is a Huge Recommendation from my side. 👌 Dal does not have much salt so Bhindi fry complements it. Properly cooked !
Try Steamed Rice with all the above items. And the huge plates they provide are awesome !
Bhagat Tarachand is known for excellent vegetarian food. Love their special butter chapatis. Rajasthani cuisine. Good service. However its closed on Mondays, do note.
THE BEST RESTAURANT FOR VEGETARIANS. Awesome food !! I have visited so many times here and I was always delighted by the food they served. You will not find better chapati, the variety of super delicious starters , actually every single dish I would say. Just the location and the sitting arrangements are clumsy. Always crowded, so arrive little early to avoid waiting time.
Omg!! How could I forgot to write this review. I visited this place months back but still I can remember the taste of food served at that place. After a hectic shopping we entered this place as that was in my wishlist since long, they asked us to wait as people were already waiting there to have their delicious food. Finally after some 10-15 mins we grabbed our seat.
We had dal bati thali and veg thali along with papad churi. Papad churi was awesomely yummy! I loved it from core of my heart. Dal bati was tasty and each item from thali had helped to satisfy our tastebuds! A worth for money place and highly recommended one!!!
Revisited this unit after 5yrs...but i was really surprised to find same good quality food..its a delight for veggies...ambience n staff are good...
If you are out shopping on laxmiroad, then you ought to eat at this place. One of the best places to eat around.
We went there last sunday and being the last weekend before diwali started laxmiroad was jam pack with busy shoppers completing their last minute shopping. This ideally means long wait times at the joint.
We went there around 345pm with sore feet and heavy bags only to find out that there was atlst 30min waiting before we could get a table.
We waited and finally were ushered to our table at around 420pm.
Service:3.5/5
Polite staff. The order was taken almost immediately and was served promptly as well.
Food:4.5/5
I have always loved the food here. I usually go for a set menu if i am here which is poori bhaji and a bottle of buttermilk (served in beer sized bottles)
But this time around we went for the special thali.
One paneer sabzi, chole..dry cauliflower n peas sabzi..dal tadka..2 chapatis dipped in desi ghee and a bowl of rice, a glass of buttermilk and papad. The taste of every dish was excellent. Loved the paneer sabzi.
Ambience:3.5/5
Nothing fancy. Clean and does the job. Comfortable seating.
Since the waiting times are usually high, they have ensured that the waitin rooms are air conditioned as well. Thumbs up for this speially after sweating it out shopping.
Value for money: Yes. Visit with family or friends if you are in and around laxmiroad.
It's an old restaurant in middle of the city. I had been to this place many times. Their vegetable and Paneer both sabzis are very good. Special chapati and buttermilk are their speciality. They give buttermilk in a bottle which is sufficient for two. Special chapati is so soft that just melts in mouth.
Pure veg family restaurant, which one can visit with family.
Visited this restaurant on Sunday lunch while out for shopping on Laxmi Road. Located on busy main road in shopping plaza. It's great option for veggies to dine in.
Ambiance was decent with very good seating arrangements. We ordered following from the menu:
1. Special Thali (4/5)
2. Masala Papad (4/5)
3. Dahi Wada (3.5/5)
4. Veg Kumbha Starter (5/5)
5. Paneer Laziz Veg (4/5)
6. Butter Naan (4/5)
All the items were tasted yummy and delicious. Quality and quantity was excellent. Prices were comparable with other standard restaurants.
I must say it's one of the best option to dine in on Laxmi Road. Highly Recommended..
After a long busy day of shopping and haggling with shopkeepers , this is the place you can relax at and expect some delicious food your way. The place is neat and the service is quick. We ordered a veg thali which was oh-so-yummmm. The dal tadka was infused with garlic and fried onions.... The dry aloo bhindi was delicious and left me asking for an extra serving. And how do I even start with the butter soaked , softer than clouds roti. Love their rotis.... Amazing food ! Worth a try!!
Visited today for lunch, it's right in the middle of the city. You need patience to first find parking spot followed by the wait at the restaurant. Ordered Bhendi Fry(Good) and Shev Bhaji(Average) they were super fast with service and the rotis they served were nice and soft. It gives you homely feel. Quality and quantity is good, worth the money. Cheers!!!
I must must say that this place blew me away. I thought this would have been just another veg restaurant. The best dal I have had in a long long time. The fried onion in the dal is the magic.
I can still feel my taste buds thanking me. Must visit place. Do not go by what the servers offer. Order what you want!!
This is thali review :
Excellent taste, limited quantity but satisfying experience. Food is wholesome and is with subtle flavour. Dont expect hot n spicy things. For family dine outs it is one of the best.
Been there with family. It's ambience, service, peer customers etc. factors make it a really ideal place for family eat out. I went to their outlet at Laxmi road, Pune & aso been to their outlet in Vashi, Mumbai.
For food: have tried Punjabi roti, subzi items & found them ok good. However, two things I found too good at this place: buttermilk full of 650ml bottle (resembles the beer bottle) & roti dipped in Desi ghee that they serve in special thaali. The special thaali is sufficient for one person even if he is young & hungry man :-)
I also think of this place as hygienic as whenever I have had food here, I never had any throat/ stomach trouble :-)
Will visit again for sure as one of my friends is Sindhi & he has suggested me to try out some Sindhi cuisines here.
I tried here papad churi and paneer as starter... Both where grt.
Then in main course went with Dal baati thali.
Service is fast.
Good ambiance
This place is mind blowing must try the traditional rajasthani item daal baati churma just yummy and also the veg kumbha starter and the thali also the chaas and paneer hilltop starter amazing and chola bhatura is good
Staff is polite, we entered the restaurant 15 mins before their closing time and yet we got amazing hospitality. Food was delicious. Do order their papad churi and their special roti.

An awesome place for Indian food. The ambiance is subtle and service is quick. The food is delicious. We ordered tawa paneer (recommended) and dal makhani (recommended) along with roti (very crispy and tasty). However, the most recommended item is the "Bottle Of Buttermilk". Never ever miss Buttermilk-di-botal at this place.
The only improvement area could be the portion of the stuff that they deliver.

Perfect place for combo of Gujarati + Rajasthani food. Food quality is rich, and taste is delicious. Papad churi, special roti, moong halwa are must try dishes. Ambience is nice but a bit congested. Service is good. I felt that food quantity is less. Prices are a bit high.
Very nice family restaurant with options available for large number of seatings.
Good & quiet ambience.
Quantity of a rice was less.
They have wheat based roti. The amount of butter put is very generous 😋.
Dal tadka was awesome. Also paneer dish was good in quantity & served four people well.
Only good restaurants near dagdusheth.
Loved it once again.... Been here almost after 5 years... But the taste has not changed the thali is still sumptuous... Loved the paneer chilly dry... And all the thali items... Also dal khichadi was good , a bit of extra ghee would have made it awesome..
On your visit to pune if you are looking for an authentic Rajasthani or north Indian pure veg food then you shouldn't be missing this restaurant.
Located on Laxmi road where some of the authentic dishes you can try is dal baati and churma, mushroom masala, gattee ki sabzi, special veg thali and desserts.
My father loved the #thali they served.
Talking about ambience, it's great but service is lil slow.
On a hot Sunday afternoon, I along with my bunch of friends landed up at R Bhagat Tarrachand's Budhwar's Peth branch. We were all really hungry and wished to get a table right away and to our good luck, we got what we wanted.
#Ambience
The Ambience is decent and the dining area is air-conditioned. One can see large multi-coloured paintings on the walls depicting a scene of Ancient era of India where people can be seen having food. There are 2 such sections for seating.
#Service
The Service was quick and we were attended nicely. We were given our tables soon and the seating was quite comfortable.
#Food
We ordered the following food items-
1. Veg Peshawari- It was mix vegetable served to us. Pretty ordinary in taste.
2. Special Methi Malai Matar- Another run of the mill preparation. Nothing much to praise about it.
3. Chapati- The chapatis were awesome. Soft and well baked and generously topped with ghee.
4. Paneer Seekh Kebab- This was absolute disappointment! The taste of paneer was nowhere to be seen. It seemed as if they added too much of bread and too little of paneer to make those kebabs.
5. Chaas- Waste of money
6. Paneer Lababdar- This was good in taste and something to cheer about. Balanced gravy and nice flavour.
7. Dal Khichdi- Decent stuff, but again, nothing spectacular about it.
8. Dal Bati- Not impressive at all. We were 8 of us and still we struggled to finish it. The taste was just not good enough.
The total bill was 1953 INR.

Great food, friendly and attentive staff.. Had methi lasooni paneer and yummy butter chapati... Chaas is one of the must order item. Loved Kheecha masala papad

Visited this place on 26th January. Was crowded like anything. Also there are very few nice family dining hotels in the vicinity , everyone crowded at this place itself.
I am not that pleased with R Bhagat Tarachands in mumbai because of their quality and quantity which they provide with the same amount charged as of the other Bhagat tarachands.
Here it was the same scene but something better. The quality was nice of food and also the staff were quick in spite of so much crowd . The dal fry is my favourite thing of Bhagat tarachand and it can never disappoint you.
Overall a very nice and family friendly place in the bust street of pune.
R Bhagat Tarachand Laxmi road opp LIC building
This place never disappoints me... Always top notch service great quality food..
Super soft ghee chapatti:-one of the USP of this place... soft chappati with pouring ghee just awsome.. actually you can have it without any sabji..nit heavy on the tummy😊
Paneer lajawaab:- Red greavy based paneer sabji was medium spicy
Dal khichdi :- one of the best place to have dal khichdi.. superb taste made in pure ghee just too good
Malai kulfi:- tried for the first time... Not too sweet great taste just like frozen rabadi😋😋 #highlyRecomended
Total damage 685rs with GST
Note:- now they have extended their dinning space... And also the waiting room for customers is bigger than dinning room
Happy Eating😊
Usually I don't go to pure veg place when I am out for lunch. But, RBT was amazing food. Had the Paneer Methi Curry and Dal Makhni, loved the food. Service was prompt and quantity was sufficient. I would really recommend tryin this place out if you want some really nice veg food in Pune.
We had sev tomato, veg peshawari and bhindi fry with special roti. Food was awesome. Special roti is soft, wheat chapati with ghee spreaded all over it. Food here reminds you of home. Service is quite fast. Ambience is decent, specially for family. Since this place is famous for thali, will definitely try it next time.
Good place for foodies. Variety of options are available and some of them are a must try like Papad churi, Chaas, Rabdi Jalebi, Butter Fulka etc. If you are very specific about taste then excess of butter and paneer in many items can overshadow the actual taste. You need to specifically mention what your taste buds desire while ordering..
Daal batti is good, but heavy for one person to finish, I had taken parcel which makes the cost 250 + 20 = 270/-. After some time I felt I should also have buttermilk with it and it cost me 30 + 20 = 50/-.
So you take anything parcel, it is going to cost you ₹20/- extra per dish, even if it's in the same parcel.
The kind of place where you fall in love with roti sabzi :).
A beautiful amalgamation of Rajasthani and (certain) local dishes. Their sev bhaji and butter roti is something you need to try. Service is friendly and quality of food is upto the mark.
(However, the quantity served is a little less)
Service- 4.0
Food- 4.5

To try - Chaas, moong dal ka halwa, butter roti, sev tamatar
Delicious food. Tried 1) Roasted masala Khichli - Good to try from the otherwise widely ordered Papad churi. 2) Chaas - Super consistency. 3) Phulka - Very soft and medium sized. 4) Kofta masala - Perfectly spiced and tasty.
Not so good ambience. Seems like a very old property. Would not be a bad idea to go for renovation soon..
Veg delight..they really serve superb dishes in veg with great taste n quality.though it is situated in crowed area but has really calm place to have family dinner.this is branch of mumbai’s famous hotel so they keep there standard same as mumbai.should recommend to true veg lover for understanding the difference in same dishes they have from rest of other hotels
I hardly choose veg food when it comes to eating outside food but this place definitely serves one of the best veg food taste and quantity wise. Pure veg folks you should surely try this place and specially that bottle filled butter milk.
Been visiting this place for a quite a long time. Just love their fulkas one of the bestest, sabzis are well prepared along with the customizations being offered if asked. Soups and starters are mouth watering with authentic preparations. Hospitable knowledgeable staff.
Only downside is parking as it's situated at one of the busiest places of pune.
I love this place due to its reasonable price, tasty food and overall ambience and atmosphere. I visited for forth time and hope will continue in future also. Their garlic naan is all time superhit and loved by my family members. Thali has multiple variety of items. Their tawa roti is also a must try.
We've taken Thali here for a Sunday brunch!
I liked the menu and the decent quality of food items! If you're fond of having a tummy full meal and soothing atmosphere, visit soon!
Tried veg thali and it's so good. It's not that tempting with regards to flavours yet a complete dish. Elegantly served Maharashtrian veggies. Gulab jamun was perfectly tasty and even with every dish we saw on the table.
Very delicious food. We ordered paneer lasooni methi. Very good test, texture.
We tried first time food over here with my little princess and family and it's good in taste and service was also good. Highly recommend this restaurant for food with families.
What a pleasant surprise! It was the first time I visited the restaurant. First of all even though it is right on the Laxmi Road it is difficult to find it. It is in a shopping complex on 2nd floor. The restaurant was clean, quiet and pleasant. Interior is good and not at all crowded. (To me comfort is as important as taste) I ordered Rajasthani Thaali and wife ordered Chhole Puri. The menu is limited but the look and the colors of Thaali, Chhole etc and also other dishes which others ordered around us was tempting. The taste was very good. Just spicy enough. They gave chapati's almost dipped in ghee 🤘👌 Also, important thing they have Chaas in the thaali. I liked chaas, daal, paneer bhurji (something of that kind) and of course chapatis! The only complaint I have is that I would have loved to see more salad. But, overall a fantastic place for family.
One of the best Veg Restaurant in Laxmi Road Area at Pune. We ordered Veg Special Rice Plate and Additional Amaras Bowl. The taste of Bhendi is amazing. Paneer Masala is also best.
Sahana Veg Restaurant is now where I believe Bhagat Tarrachand existed before Covid and situated on the 2nd Floor which is accessible via a lift.
This is probably the best and the cleanest restaurant in the entire Tulsi Baug area where one can easily get tired shopping for hours. We chose Sahana after skipping almost 5 other restaurants in the area and the decision was definitely the best.
It was very airy and pleasant and bright ambience with down-toned colors and the entire place was spik and span. The staff were very well groomed and attentive to every need. One would seldom expect such customer service in the middle of a shopping district.
Food is beyond expectation. I have never tasted such great vegetarian food in near times and I didnt expect the place to also ace the Chinese version of Crispy Fried Vegetables. It was just delicious. Even Okra fry was beyond words and juicy and crispy at the same time.
Also had the chance to binge upon some special Shikari rotis or something and comes as a pair and its loaded with butter and so soft to munch upon. I never eat rotis regularly but I ordered these thrice to my surprise.
If in the Tulsi Baug area, look no where else to go for your meals but to Sahana itself. Well worth every single rupee spent.
The food is so delicious. Desi Ghee preparation... Services are quite good. Best Veg Thali Ever. Taste is so good. Huge seating space.

Visited for lunch to celebrate diwali with relatives... TOTAL WORTH for money... the thali is the speciality and a must have... DAHI WADA was damn tasty, the gulabjamun was super soft and the paneer curries from punjabi flavour are extremely delicious...the paneer pieces were soft... the potatoes and ladyfingers mix sabji was the best thing to add taste...fried and added with a unique masala... the dal tadka adds a hatke flavor to the thali... the buttermilk was also good in taste... rotis were soft...the jeera rice and the dal tadka combination... ahhhaaaa... lajawab...
Also the menu card offers Chinese dishes. the hakka noodles were the best ones to try for...
Overall a great experience and totally worth...
The ambience is excellent and cleanliness is maintained... the staff is polite and friendly and all are following covid protocols by wearing masks... a must go to enjoy food and make memories...
It’s a wonderfully place to have lunch and dinner in bustling Lakshmi road.
Ambiance is great and service is fast. They have jain food and thali as well.
Liked quality of food , you might get a waiting of 5 min, so go with reservation.
This is one of the best veg restaurant I have visited till date. Even though there is a queue on weekends, the wait is worth the food.
Every item mentioned in the special thali is just amazing to have.

This place serves one of the best Veg Thali. Tucked away in the hustle and bustle of Laxmi Road, this place is a delight to those tired souls. Chapatis served in the thali were dripping in ghee. Chapati are definitely made from good wheat ground in a nice chakki. You can feel it, trust me. Dal is made of moong and each dal katori is topped with a nice piping tadka. All the preparations are medium spicy and are super tasty. You will not feel boated or drowsy even after consuming the full plate. Entire place is hygienically maintained. Service is prompt and staff is courteous. Some may find pricing on the higher side, the quality of ingredients, taste and service simply justify it.
This place is totally recommended for vegetarians as well non vegetarians for some healthy food.
It was R Bhagat Tarrachand but recently renamed to Sahana veg restaurant. Vegetarian restaurant on Laxmi road. Taste is awesome. Hotel uses metallic cutlery rather than plastic. Very clean and hygienic. I like their chapati and paneer is very soft. Massala papad is just okok. Washroom of hotel is very clean.
It's on Same location where there was earlier R Bhagat Tarachand, test is very good and food quantity it also adequate.
Authentic Punjabi food. Must try crispy veg starter. Butter chapati is the superstar, tooo yummy.
Very good service
