Superb test visit again specially bhel aswome feeling
Tried "Dahi Bhel" At The Restaurant And Spend ₹60 For It.The Taste Is Amazing With Spicy And Tangy Flavours And Yummyness Of Dahi. Its A Value For Money Dish And Is A Recommendation For "Chat Lovers"
Best place for chaat items, especially things I like is Oli bhel and SPDP , If you are travelling from pune towards satara its the best place for binge eating.
This place is one of the go to place whenever I visit Mahabaleshwar. We had tried many things here. We liked misal pav and sukhi bhel there. Ambience is okish, but one of the best place to have quick snacks on the Pune Satara highway. Must try for BHEL!!
Happy Eating😋
One of the best bhel served here in pune area. On the way to pune from satara road. Highly populated and famous restaurant. Dahi bhel also good to try.. Misal amati is good in taste
Must Try pitla bhakri 😍 Best pitla bhakri in Pune. Amazing taste and just below rs200. It is near shivapur. Long but totally worth it. The Chaat items are also good .
Another routine visit to Kailas, Khed Shivapur.. Travelling all the way from pune to this place just to have breakfast is always Fun...This place never fails to tempt your taste buds..
Their Misal is awesome.. Proper spicy and tasty rassa ... One of the best misal I have tried... consistent taste since ages...just loved it 😍😍
Steaming hot n crispy Batatawada pav n KandaBhajji with excellent green chutney ... fantastic taste😋😍
Their chutney and misal rassa both are too good...
Superb matki bhel....with Boiled Matki, finely chopped raw onions, coriander leaves, fried Green chillies n masala.. it is absolutely delicious..
They also serve amazing Pani Puri...
Food is just too good.. MisalPav , Kandabhaji, Batatewada, Bhel,Tak, Chaha, Pani-Puri, Dosa, Malai gola, Ice-cream, Pickles , Chutneys .. everything is great ...
I am knowing this place since it was a small stall..Must eat stop while going to Satara, Kolhapur side.. Place is Crowded always since its huge sitting space, you can get table fairly quickly... They keep the place very clean though rush is high... Worth a visit.
On way from Kolhapur to Pune, stumbled upon this beauty. The meals here is authentic maharashtrian food. The bhakri and junka combo is mild blowing! They have a snacks counter outside. Don't get fooled by that. Drive inside to their meals section and enjoy this delight!
No one would hate pani puri or bhel each & everyone mouth get watery when these are in front bhel & pani puri
Great place to visit & enjoyed a lot
Bhalla papadi chat was one of the best chat. Couldn't stop after seeing all list of chat, so tried most of them. Sukhi bhel oli bhel was awesome
Well managed & hygienic with number of different counters...
I had been their with my 3 friends while going to Mahabaleshwar .
This place is very popular for BHEL & misal pav
BHEL is very yummy.
There are different stalls serving juice , tea , chat , south indian dishes & ice Gola.
These are also famous for pithal & bhakri
Kailash is very popular for their bhel and I know many people who go there just to have bhel!!
Their bhel is really tasty, it's sweet & spicy at the same time. They put boondi, sev & farsan in it which contributes to the taste of the bhel.
Their SPDP is good too! Only one plate of SPDP is filling, SPDP is slightly spicy.
Also there are different stalls serving juices and ice golas. Tried chocolate malai ice goal which was good :)
Kailash is well maintained, clean and pocket friendly place.
All in all a very nice place to halt and have snacks. Quality was top notch and that too with reasonable prices. We had Misal Pav, Vada Pav, Oli Bhel and Tea. All things were very good.
Washroom cleanliness was very good. Provision of handwash liquid was appreciable.
Good arrangement of parking. Amul parlour is also there beside the restaurant.
I had been here with my bro, while coming to Pune. I dropped in this place. Actually this place is very popular among the travellers and misal lovers. I loved the misal and bhel
Myself & wife, we were on our Road Trip & stopped by this place for Mataki Bhel; Excellent combination of Kurmure, Farsan, Mataki, & basics of bhel onion tomato etc. very light snack for traveling.
I am a good fan of Pithala Bhakari, I noticed a separate section there for Pithala Bhakari Thali.
Awesome ambience, Very hygienic, very clean & Calmer & away from Highway rush.
The Thali has the best Pithala Bhakri i ever had after Pratapgad in this Trip, They served Thecha, Kharda, Sukki Bhaji, Kadi, Papad, Kanda Bhaji & Best Part a Loti full of Ghee with it.
My Wife was not too hungry, there were instructions Thali Sharing is not allowed; My Wife wanted to just have a Taste & to take entire Thali for couple of bite was not feasible but when requested Staff was so polite & accommodating that they only smiled & said Yes. Kharwas was Too Good made like home.
The owner himself was so polite & approachable. I want to go again on very second day if it would have been somehwere near Mumbai.
Request to Owners, please do think of a set up in Mumbai.
It's one of the very few good places on the bhor - Pune patch where you can have good quality snacks_bhel, misal tea.
BUT we opted for the maharashtrian thali section which costs Rs 170 per plate. The menu was ok, and typically maharashtrian_bhakri/chapati, besan, brinjal masala, matki usal, papad and pulao.
Food - good to taste, but my expectations were higher. The pithala was too bland.
Service was good. But hasty. It was rush hour too. But some personal touch neded.
Ambience was well lit and had comfortable seating. Overall feel was that of eating at a mass function like wedding where quality gets slightly compromised.
I have been visiting their snack section since it was a shop with very little parking space. Back den, this shop caused traffic jams on highway as travellers flocked this place in huge numbers. Now the place has been rebuilt a few years back. The place is huge, with a lot of seating place and still it remains crowded. No wonder, kailash has made a name for itself among travellers. We stop by this place each time we travel by. There is ample parking space and the ambience too is good for a fast food outlet like this. They serve mainly indian snacks and chat. The quality of food is great. The outlet is spacy and being self service its even faster to get your food. I have tried almost every dish and none of the dishes disappoint you. The misal pav is worth a try. Bhel being their sigature dish is perfect. Pani puri is great and served in a unique way. All other dishes are also up to the mark. Definately worth a visit and definately worth your money. They also have a lunch/dinner section serving thalis and that too is great.
Classy and quality food always enjoy with masallaaaa chai and signature bhel........... dont forget to eat a maharastrian meal if you are too hungry.........
Many times i have to travel from the NH4 route. Im visiting this place since many years and i am a big Fan of this food joint called "Kailash Express Inn". I still remember the first day i visited this food joint and no wonder they have maintained the same taste, quality of food, cleanliness and their service is excellent. They have huge variety of yummy chat, authentic maharashtrian thali, south indian and many more under one roof ! Even the owner of this place Mr. Shivraj Mithare is a very kind person and many times attends customers personally. Im thankful to Kailash Group for serving such tasty and yummy cuisines.
Excellent food and service. The best is bhel. Incredible misal and other delicacies as well. Authentic maharashtrian food is the highlight.
A must visit place on NH4
Heard a lot about this place & every time i use to go by that road thought of visiting this place next time .. :P. So few days back I got this chance to visit the place & found the place to be happening enough. since I knew the specialty of the place through other sources. I made this point to order Ooli Bhel, Vada pav & Tea & found the bhel extremely interesting. It was a perfect combination of Sweet & hot taste. The bhel was crispy. the Quantity was just right with respect to the rate. The I tried Vada pav. The size of the Vada was big but the taste was a bit dull compared to what we get in Pune .. this is what I felt. Tea was good & refreshing. Apart from eateries, youll also find number of stalls which basically reminds me of some kind of Mela at that place .. :P
In short .. can say .. over all experience was good. Will revisit this place again.
Cheers

The amazing indian food is only and only available here .. the smell of the food is so yummy that i can't describe it. Except the indian food the fast food is also very very tasty and the small food counters are also very good . Every person in his / her life should taste the food once I and my family are visiting this place last 18 to 19 years...its amazing yummy....
A very good place to eat on the NH4 while returning from Bangalore side.
Authentic Maharashtrian Thali served in Parat (A deep plate). Also water is served in Copper glasses which give a feel of A Maharashtrian Dhaba.
The food is tasty. Bhakris are well prepared, Jhunka is also very nicely prepared. Sides like Thecha, Loncha are lipsmacking. As a starter they provide u with Gul and Shengdane..
Must try !!
My rating:
SERVICE :5/5
FOOD:4.5/5
AMBIANCE :4/5
One of the most popular bhel in khed shivapur. One of my frnd suggested to have bhel over here, So we went there by saturday night. kailas bhel is tastiest chaat center. Pani puri, SPDP, All types of bhel or any item served here is tasty. Key of this place is hygene ... People wearing caps, pani puri of purified water etc. gives you a confidence. They give nice service & staffs are friendly. We find very nice ambience over here!
Went there while returning from Satara.. Could try only Bhel as we were already WOW that was really amazing.
Would be visiting soon so that I can try all the other dishes available.
Best place to eat sukki bhel and misal pav, ample four wheeler parking, it is self service restaurant. Cleaning is above average and kitchen is open kitchen
Visited this place last weekend with few friends for having pithla bhakri. They have separate building at the back side for thali. Ordered full thali for all. Each Thali had besan pithla, bhakri, baingan , kadhi, rice, rajma etc etc.
Only pithla and bhakri were good in that thali. Bhakri tastes good as they serve with ghee.
Rajma was not even being identified 😁
Due to this, felt price of full thali over priced.
This place is one of the best place to have veg pithale thali. I had food here about 3-4 times whenever I pass this road during road trip. The bhakri, pithale, dal, veg everything is worth the penny spent. Special mention for the staff who are generous and constantly at your service.
What a place... Speciality besan bhakari.. A must try if you travelling towards pune from satara.. Had a whole thali and was pretty much impressed. Superb food quality, homely staff and absolutely value for money..
Kailas is a highway retreat!! All chaat items are good. Bhel is the signature dish. It follows self service which I do not find a good idea. Tables are not so clean. Cleaners don't pay attention at all. Need to change few things.
Authentic Marathi dish with simple but menu that leaves you with satisfaction. Amazed by the value for money!! If it has been in city would love to go often. Must try.
I do love this place, not for the bhel or fast food items but for the authentic pithla bhakari thali that they server here.
Premises is divided in two parts. Outer building is the new extension which serves “not so great” chaat and stuff. Inside of the premises, you will found the good old hotel Kailash where the marathi delicacies are served.
I am not a maharastrian, but love good pthla, bhakari and thecha combination. For those who don't know about maharastrian specialty - peethla bhakari thecha (peethla - Besan ki sabji, semi liquid, piping hot stuff with desi ghee; Bhakari - flat bread with mix of grains / primarily Jawaar ; thecha - grounded chilli garlic mix) .
Here they serve Thali - Pithla bhakari / or full thaali / khichdi kadhi with solkadhi (drink from coconut milk and kokum) and taak (buttermilk). one might have to wait a lot in peak times which is the problem with almost every place in the pune or around pune. Although once wait is over and you get the place to sit, service is very ..verrryy prompt. food is served piping hot with ample amount. They also serves pakode (bhaji) and peanut –garlic chutney with the dish. Everything taste awesome with perfect balance of spices. Thecha is definitely not for the faint hearted. Its sharp and hot. We had tried Kadhi kichadi as well and it was good too.
Prices are economical ranging between 150 to 200 per head. All in all it’s a value for money, no frills place serving good food. outside the restaurant, some NGO stall sells papad and other homemade masala / sweets . If you are looking for a drive ending with peethla bhakari; this is the place to be.
Kailas Parbat, is the big daddy of bhel puri and chat. Started off with a shack of sukha bhel about a couple of decades back, this guy has built hus empire on it. Though i am not his big fan of bhel which lacks punch. I am here for my lunch experience today.
Authentic marathi village cuisine with a special unlimited thali priced at Rs.150 was a good experience. Rustic ambience and fast service along with lipsmackin pithla (besan) / zunka bhakri. The serving was preloaded by skin psmall peanuts along with gur (jaggery) which was so down to earth in taste and experience.
This was accompanied by gavran toop (localy made cows ghee) but the taste was damn authentic. You can just flood it on pithla and you have the best zunka bhakar you can ever have (which never kicked off in maharashtra)
Chilli Bhajji was ok, thecha was superb, peanut dry chilli powder was well done, papad a bit oily, yellow dahi kadhi was tasty and so was the daal serving. I would have given it a 4.5 star only for pithla bhakari (my mom was a benchmark, she used to top it up with tadka)
A must visit, Rs.600 for 4 adults for good gavran style food in a shack, we had gone with empty stomachs without any breakfast at 1330 hrs and it did quite packed all our stomachs.
Wonderful place for veg Maharasthrian food ..don't get confused with reviews on Bhel section ...there is a separate garden restaurant for veg Mh food ..excellent service and delicious food ...we had Thali and a separate serving of Pittal Bhakri
....Thanks to Mr Shivraj for extending wonderful hospitality...place is very busy on weekends..so, be prepared to wait for 15-20 min for your turn
Kailash Bhel came as a pleasant big surprise to me. I have visited this outlet two times and experience was really great. The outlet is really big and it is dedicated to serve the delicious simple menu of Kailash Bhel. I relished Dahi Wada and Bhalla Papadi Chat. Must try if you are travelling on this road. It is 100 meter before the toll naka.
Visited Kailash bhel last night on my way to Pune from mahabi, I thought it might be closed coz we reached by 10.45 pm, but to my surprise the place was full. for those who dont know , they have a seperate thali section a little inside next to their express inn. Food quality was nice, the thali had one kobi bhaji , matki ussal, Pithla, bhakri, kadhi, varan, papad, salad , thecha, rice. very tasty all unlimited. priced at 140/- per thali, very decent price too.
The OliBhel isto die for over here. Moreover guys do have Dahi Pani Puri... I bet you will love it ....its yummy :)
Kailas Express Inn or Kailas Bhel doesn't need any introduction. The place has been always in news among the commuters on Pune-Satara-Bangalore highway. With a great scenic beauty at its backdrop. A hot tea & a an equally tasty Oli Bhel would not only make your trip worth while but memorable too.
The place has always hosted numerous B-town Celebs who came near the vicinity for movie shooting purpose or has travelled down the road. The list starts from Asutosh Gowariker, Asha Bhsoale, Nilu Phule, Jackie Shroff to some of our Political big wigs like our present Chief Minister, Home Minister etc.
At Kailas Taste , Hygiene & Quality are of the prime importance.

They have divided themselves in different outlets for the ease of customers.
Happy Eating!!
Best breakfast hotel on highway. Lots of vegetarian options.great taste with self service. Good food. Tea is also available.
Four wheeler parking is free.
Been going here to eat since 12 years. Let me tell you why I enjoy eating here-it's because I know for sure, that the people preparing the food along with the owner, have good intentions of making it. Saatvik intentions=great food.
कधीही मला इथले अन्न बाधले नाही.
Never has the food here made me sick, it's because each and every aspect is taken care of. Bhakris are THE BEST. Food is very fresh.
Staff members haven't changed since 10 years. Says a lot about the place isn't it? They're eager to feed you, and passionate about their job.
They give you jaggery and peanuts before thali arrives, it's the best thing to give you energy.
There's music here, all the good stuff from 50s to 70s. Sound level is very low, just enough to create an atmosphere.
Theres a pan shop here too. It's okay.
Also, plenty of free parking.
Hence, this place is famous for the right reasons.
Do visit!!
This place has good parking, clean washrooms and seating arrangements. You can enjoy your food with your family and friends. I had visited for breakfast and in the morning they had only Bhel, maharashtrian and South Indian counters open so couldn't enjoy the chats. Oli bhel is really nice and tasty. A must try here!
however Misal was not that good
Satisfied experience. This place serves variety of snacks, are simply delicious. The ambiance is casual. It's a perfect spot for a quick, tasty breakfast and snacks. Tried Poha and Idli Wada both are tasty.
Good taste with dosa, paav bhaji, pizza 🍕, Pani Puri, Misal etc. The location is on the main street while heading towards Pune. Lot of space for ur car and d interior sitting also. You have to pay first and approach to the counter for the food with the paid receipt. We have ordered pizza 🍕, Masala dosa, Special Misal and Delhi chaat. Theisal was really good to taste and appearance. Pizza and rest was average quality. Also you can have mocktail made with fruits and artificial flavors. Just outside this restra, u will find Manasi Ice Gola center with good quality Ice Gola. But I will request you to try it for sure 😊😃
It is loacted on service road of satara highway after the toll plaza towards pune. Very nice place for quick bites. Free Parking space is available. Self service is there. Delivery of food is quick. Ambience is good. Have planty of seating arrangements. Food quality is very good. Oli bhel, pani puri, ragada otems are very good in tatse. Vada pav, dosa etc items are ok in taste. Other stores such as wooden toys, milk shake etc are also present. Very nice option for quick bites.
A perfect location on Pune highway to take a pit stop and get refreshed with yummy and delicious food. The place could be more clean I feel. The bhel is really delicious even the Tea is good
Amazing place to snack! Have all the variety of foods from panipuri, bhel, misal, pavbhaji to southindian. Particularly very clean and systematic. It's hard to believe they have kept such moderate pricing for such great quality! Washroom are also well maintained.
Plus they have huge amount of space for parking.
Food esp. chaat is good here.
Sukhi bhel is good. It has matki too in it.
Oli bhel is good. They use bhadang in it that renders a different taste than murmure, bhel included khairi, khare shengdane that many others skip.
SPDP is very good. Dahi is good and the dish is overall nicely balanced and loaded with flavours. Highly recommend SPDP.
Shev puri is not good. Skip it.
Tea is OK too.
Self service is ok.
But the seating arrangement is not enough. Considering the footfall here they should provision some extra seating arrangements.
