China Toss is a restaurant located in Mulik Capital Complex in Kalyani Nagar.All this while, I had passed this place many a times, but never had got a chance to visit it.
Last month, I finally went there as part of PEO tasting. The restaurant mainly serves Chinese and Asian food, but recently has also started with an Indian food menu.
#Ambience
The ambience is elegant and graceful. As we enter, we get to see a Lord Budhdha statue in front of us. The entire paraphernalia of the place is reminiscent of the oriental world.
We can see bamboo sticks hanging from the ceiling, chinese lanterns, wall hangings, chinese rugs and lights. The seating has many variants from high chairs to cushioned chairs to sofa seats.
We also have an open section on the right where we have wooden tables and chairs. Weather permitting, the open section must be magical during the evenings.
There is also a well equipped bar on our left.
#Service
The staff was extremely courteous during our visit, but a little slow to my liking. Though all our requests were accepted and we had a good time.
#Food
We had the following mocktails during our visit-
Watermelon and Basil-Fresh basil, watermelon juice and aerated water. It was a nice option given the hot afternoon.
Guava Chilli- Guava Juice, tobasco, red chilli and salt. This is one of my favourite mocktails and they did complete justice to it. Good stuff.
Fresh Lime Soda- Our humble lime and soda concoction. Refreshing as always.
Fruit Punch- The best mocktail we had . It had a mix of various fruit juices and ice cream. The resultant flavour was wonderful.
Mango Mule- Here, they mixed Mango puree, ginger,lime, cucumber, mint, honey syrup and soda to prepare this mocktail. It was good, but could have been better in terms of blending of the ingredients.
We had the following items in food-
Smoked Chilli Mushroom- Mushroom pieces coated with corn flour and then deep fried in a sweet and spicy delectable sauce along with tomato, onion, capsicum, yellow bellpepper and leeks.
A must try for mushroom lovers.
Crispy Chilli Garlic Chicken- Chicken pieces tossed in a chilly garlic sauce along with tomato, onion, capsicum, yellow bellpepper and leeks and then fried until it turns crispy. The sauce had made the dish delicious. However, had the chicken been more tender, it would have been much more enjoyable.
Shanghai Dimsum Veg- Steamed dimsums with filling comprising of an assortment of vegetables and topped with a spicy sauce and along with tomato, onion, capsicum, yellow bellpepper and leeks.
The dimsums were steamed nicely and vegetables were well cooked. Overall a pleasurable dish.
Shredded Lamb in Cumin Sauce- This was a rare miss in our meal. Sliced lamb fried in a wok along with onion, leeks,coriander and cumin. The downside was that the lamb was chewy and did not blend with cumin at all.
Maybe they can tweak this dish to make it better.
Yakitori Prawns- This was a real marvel from their kitchen. I can come back just to try this. Slow fried prawns cooked in a wok in yakitori sauce along with tomato, onion, capsicum, yellow bellpepper and leeks. The prawns were succulent and left me wanting for more.
Thai Red Curry Veg- Slow simmered spicy curry with thai red curry paste, fresh sweet coconut, sour tamarind and fresh herbs. The gravy was consistent and the myriad flavours of the different ingredients could be dinstinctly deciphered. The taste of coconut milk was not overpowering which was extremely pleasing for me.
It was served along with well cooked steamed rice.
Chilly Garlic Noodles Veg- Noodles cooked in chilli garlic paste along with various vegetables and garnished with leeks. The noodles were cooked to perfection and were not oily.
Dessert Platter- The dessert platter included honey noodles(Darsaan) with ice cream.Here flat noodles were fried, soaked in a honey based sauce and served with vanilla ice cream. Chocolate sauce is poured over both darsaan and ice cream.
Next we had fried ice cream, where vanilla ice cream is covered in coconut crumbs and then deep fried and topped with chocolate sauce. It was really tempting.
At last we had chocolate brownie garnished with nuts. Sumptuous and a treat for chocolate lovers.
One of the best chinese restaurants in the city. The ambience is good and the staff is friendly too. Loved the veg pan fried noodles and the crispy garlic chicken.

Nicely maintained and well-decorated restaurant with an ample amount of sitting area. Also, there is provision of outside sitting as well.
Menu is really really vast. If you are not specific of what you want to have, you will be lost. We went for recommendations.
In drinks, we tried some amazing mocktails :
#Watermelon_and_Basil: Very Refreshing drink comprising sweet and sour, fresh basil and watermelon and aerated water. I really liked it and I can have it as my summer drink. #musthave
#Guava_Chilli: #naamhikaafihai kind of feeling. Consisting of guava juice, sweet and sour, tobasco, red chilli and salt. Perfect guava chilli I can have here.
#Fruit_Punch: Blend of different fruits and ice cream. Really nicely prepared and delicious.
Starters, if we talk about, we had :
#Crispy_Chilli_Garlic_Chicken: These were nothing but finger chicken which were fried and made crispy and afterwards tossed in the Chilly Garlic Sauce. These were nice and crispy, and really good to have. But I wished the chicken fingers were more tender as it was very deep-fried.
#Smokey_Chilli_Mushroom: Mushroom pieces which are deep-fried and tossed with sweet and spicy garlic sauce. I really liked it as I am a mushroom lover.
#Shredded_ Lamb_in_Cumin_Sauce: Its a #highlyrecommended dish from my side. This is wok-fried sliced lamb with onion, coriander, leeks with a dash of cumin. The lamb was tender and cooked really nicely.
#Yakitori_Prawns: This is my second #recommended dish. These prawns are slow fried and cooked, then tossed in wok with Yakitori sauce. Really Yummy it was and #must_have for prawns lovers.
#Shanghai_Dimsums: Trying Chinese cuisine is incomplete without trying dimsums. These delectable dim sums were stuffed with vegetables and served with a spicy sauce. Special mention for the sauce as it was quite yummy. Dimsums are really #worth_trying.
Main Course :
#Thai_Red_Curry: The slow-cooked spicy curry consisting of red curry paste, Fresh sweet coconut, sour tamarind, and fresh herbs. The Thai red curry was served with a bowl of steamed rice. The curry was nice and tasty.
#Chilli Garlic Noodles: Fresh noodles wok-fried with fresh chillies and garlic and also consisting of assorted vegetables. Very nicely cooked and really yummy.
Desserts: If you have a dessert menu with all your favourite desserts and you are super confused with what to order. Then there's an option which came to rescue #Dessert_Platter. It consisted of all the available desserts. We had Brownie, Fried Ice cream and honey noodles with ice cream. Chocolate brownie garnished with nuts was really nice (I am a chocolate lover so I really liked it). Fried Ice cream which was coconut flavoured crumb fried vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate sauce. I liked it as I had it for the very first time so I had no options to compare it with. Honey noodles with ice cream is like must-have dessert in a Chinese or rather Chindian restaurant.

We were in a good celebration mood and the food just added a flair to our evening.

Ambience:
The restaurant is awesome with eye-catching ambience. Dining areas are spacious and comfortable.
Food:
This place offers a variety of dishes including Chinese, Thai and Malaysian. Quantity was adequate, good taste as expected from description.
Apart from that Bar Menu is also available with good variety.
Service:
Attentive, prompt, well-mannered. Order taking person was aware of the dishes.

A Great fine dining restaurant, best for family dinners.

Mind blowing ambience with authentic food.. Spring rolls though didn't had much of that great taste so would rate it to a lesser proportion but definitely personally would recommend must try Thuk-Pa soup..
Had got this bad cold and was craving for something hot and mild flavorish and definitely their choice gave a refreshing taste and made it to my health.
So would definitely give a thumbs up for all the soup lover's do try their delicious soups and have a great meal out there all of you 🙂

I have got food delivered from here multiple times and it was really good. Very good portion size and tastes quite good. Highly recommend the singapuri noodles, prawn satay and the spring rolls.
Good food. Not very expensive. The Sui Mai and the lamb chops were excellent. Positive behaviour from the staff. Overall a good experience. Will visit again for the lamb chops.

This restaurant will give you a surprise your tastebuds. Food is utterly delicious and has a very unique taste. I loved the food and can't stop talking about it with my friends. I ordered Crispy Spicy Chicken in starters and Thai Fried Rice in Mains. The sauce with the starters is a showstopper as it will leave you craving for more. One of the best places that serves Chinese cuisine in Kalyani Nagar and vicinity. The taste is neither too authentic nor the typical Indo Chinese one, lies somewhere in between. Good ambience, provides you both indoor and outdoor seating options.
Soup - I love most of the soups here. If you are fond of Oriental soups, this place is a must try!
Burnt Garlic Rice - has the perfect flavor of burnt garlic
Veg Hakka Noodles - Decent, not the best though
Chicken Dimsum - Good but not value for money. Honestly, couldn't figure out difference between the dimsums served here and the momos by local vendors.

The best place to have authentic Chinese food. Taste is just awesome. You might find their price a bit higher but I think it's going to justify with quality and quantity they serve. You may want to take an advantage of their in house offers to beat the price. In my opinion, the reason I would rate them high is their customer service. Their staff is always polite and friendly and I am writing this review after 3 visits. I want to make a point that apart from the main dishes, you should try to their desserts too. Fried ice cream was just awesome. Starters and main course are delicious, just ask the waiter for preparation and you will find what suits your taste buds.

Nice place and very good food experience. Must try Virgin Mojito and Peri peri BBQ chicken. We tried spicy corns which was fine. In main course there are many varieties however we liked oriental curry (Red) with Hakka Noodles which has a decent quantity of 3 people. They do have vallet facility. Enjoy!!!

Hello, I had been with family for the first time and all doubts were put to rest by courteous and friendly staff, you are spoilt for choices. The menu card is elaborate and vast in terms of Asian cuisine. We loved the prawns, Peru Peru grilled chicken, Dimsums, Soup, Sizzler and a very good Thai curry forget the name with rice and accompanying condiments. The final impact was the Dessert platter simply loved and over ate. Don't forget to take thier Gauva ice cream, my best wishes and thanks to the promoters for we thoroughly enjoyed the evening

One of the reviewers here said that the restaurant doesn't use Ajinomoto (Monosodium glutamate) in their preparations. And I double check with the restaurant to confirm the same beforehand. They did confirm that they don't use it in their eatery all. This was my main reason to visit this place.
They are not serving typical Chinese cuisine. Most of us Indian cannot eat authentic Chinese food. What they serve is Oriental cuisine with just a hint of Indian taste and touch. The flavour with which we all can resonate. The food was delicious and tasty and I found it enjoyable and satisfactory. With the right amount of spices, and sauces I thoroughly enjoyed my evening.
They provide you with both the seating, indoor and outdoor. I preferred to sit outside on a cool breezy Puneri evening. The weather was pleasant and food and company of your loved ones make it more memorable. Fortunately, we were covered with shoes and full size pants, mosquitoes were not a a harassment to us. But the server was quick enough to get the coils ready to be kept near our table as soon as we requested it.
We requested for fried noodles and schezwan sauce to munch and were served kindly.
Veg Spring roll - we didn't like it much. The stuffing was only cabbage. It didn't taste good.
General Tso's Chicken was amazing. Rice wine and hoisin sauce made the dish exquisite. Recommended!
Veg Dragon sizzler - we wanted to eat spicy food. And this is exactly what we needed. Hot 'n' spicy. Enjoyed it thoroughly.
Sour apple martini - it was not good at first. Lemon was squeezed way too hard and hence it was bitter. After explaining the mistake, Malik changed the drink heartily and a fresh one was served. Mind it, it is little bit on the sweet and sour side
Love on the beach - litchi juice and peach syrup. I was expecting the sour cranberry juice to cut the sweetness. But it was way too sweet for me. For me, drink and hot n spicy sizzler were going hand in hand.
I am not sure what impressed him, but Malik was generous enough to provide us with a complimentary dessert to end our meal. It was fried ice-cream topped with generous serving of chocolate sauce. The combination of hot and cold was perfect and we enjoyed it.
During my visit on a friday night, IPL match was going on which was fine for me but I think the sound can be muted. In my opinion, it was very loud and to be honest no one wants to listen to cricket commentary if they are spending a romantic evening. A soft, romantic, soulful music can be played with sports matches as visual only.
P.S - Zomato gold came in handy for us.
This place is amazing. The food here is fantastic with great flavours of Chinese cuisine. Service of staff is fast. There is live music which creates a good atmosphere. Ambience is also fabulous.

This place is inexpensive yet one of the best Chinese restaurant in kalyani nagar. Food items are really tasty and good in quantity. Ambience is also good. We have ordered noodles it was really tasty I often go to this restaurant though.
China Toss has got an average ambience. They have got indoor as well as outdoor seating arrangements. With outdoor seating you will have to deal with mosquitoes. I liked the food over here, dishes are authentic and if you feel like having a Chinese meal, hop-in to China Toss. I loved the Chilli Prawns in starters, Barbeque Chicken was also pretty good and Dimsums were ok. Singapore Noodles and Garlic-Chilly Noodles both tasted good. The mocktails were at a discounted rate @ 99/- and the Zomato Gold offer came handy.

#Shanghai_Dimsums: Trying Chinese cuisine is incomplete without trying dimsums. These delectable dim sums were stuffed with vegetables and served with a spicy sauce. Special mention for the sauce as it was quite yummy. Dimsums are really #worth_trying.
Main Course :
#Thai_Red_Curry: The slow-cooked spicy curry consisting of red curry paste, Fresh sweet coconut, sour tamarind, and fresh herbs. The Thai red curry was served with a bowl of steamed rice. The curry was nice and tasty.
#Chilli Garlic Noodles: Fresh noodles wok-fried with fresh chillies and garlic and also consisting of assorted vegetables. Very nicely cooked and really yummy.
Desserts: If you have a dessert menu with all your favourite desserts and you are super confused with what to order. Then there's an option which came to rescue #Dessert_Platter. It consisted of all the available desserts. We had Brownie, Fried Ice cream and honey noodles with ice cream. Chocolate brownie garnished with nuts was really nice (I am a chocolate lover so I really liked it). Fried Ice cream which was coconut flavoured crumb fried vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate sauce. I liked it as I had it for the very first time so I had no options to compare it with. Honey noodles with ice cream is like must-have dessert in a Chinese or rather Chindian restaurant.

Now this is the place to satisfy your Chinese appetite. The ambiance is great having both indoor and outdoor sitting options and having paper lantern hanging out open. The service is pretty fast and our Steward Mr Pame Capt suggested some great dishes. Shanghai Dimsums was very soft, perfectly cooked and is heated to a perfect temperature. Fried Chicken Dimsums was also great and crunchy. Three Treasure Mushroom was a combination of three mushrooms and was not that great. Hot Wings Ayam Goreng was chicken wings prepared well. Pepper Garlic Prawns was great. Chilly Garlic Noodles was good and quite soft. Singapore Chilly Noodles were great and tasted perfect, a must try one here. Chicken Chilly Garlic was gravy and it was good. They even offered us Fried Ice Cream on the house, it was delicious with coconut powder coated over ice cream and fried, a great combination. Overall it's a great place which is moderately priced.
This is my favourite place for chinese cuisine in pune..tried many things on their menu..drums of heaven,thai prawns, peri peri chicken..chicken burnt garlic rice, hakka noodles ,naasi goreng which is an indonesian rice..served with egg..sizzlers are just too good..must visit...everything is good from their ambience to service n food..they serve alcohol too..love the red wine sangria..with live music often

It is a fine dine in a very happening area of Kalyani Nagar Pune. We had been there for late lunch post 3 pm and still there were couple tables occupied. This place has a very soothing ambience and you're greeted by a large Buddha statue. The service is good and we had manchow soup which had a very balanced taste and a guava mocktail, for starters we had a paneer chilly which i found to be average as the paneer was a bit chewy. Then we had water chestnut with corn which was excellent and right amount of black pepper had been used , very delectable i would say, another starter was a veg dim sum which was also good, for main course we had some veg with gravy and steamed rice. Finally we had icecream which was made by the restaurant ( inhouse ), it was guava icecream again i would give full marks, i could feel the real taste of the ingredients without preservatives. Had a nice experience.
The food is awesome. We ordered dry Manchurian, hakka noodles and a Thai rice. Also fried dumplings. Manchurian be the best. Thai rice were not so amazing. Noodles and dumplings were good too. Ambience is also perfect for family and friends dinner. Drinks are a bit costly.
The place located in moderately quite neighborhood of Kalyani Nagar. It has ample of parking place.
Amazingly tasty food with great ambiance.
If you Chinese food lover then this would be one of the best places for you.
I had Crispy Chilly Babycorn, Burnt Red Pepper Panner, Kung Pao Potato.

Had veg and non-vegetarian sizzlers. It was delicious. In dessert had dessert platter. We were 4 people and it was enough for us.

The restaurant is awesome with good ambience. Located in the heart of Pune. The food also tasted good. It offers some good soups and starters. Overall experience was good. A bit heavy on the pocket though.
