Limited menu but great taste, you can not get the same taste in any other wadeshwar outlets in Pune.
My favorites are Paratha Bhaji, Idali chatani and Dosa.
Though the ambience is not so great and you may need to share your table with other customers due to lack of space, the taste and quick service covers it all. At last when you get great food all other things can be adjusted.
Shree Wadeshwar Bhuvan epitomises a typical puneri restaurant.Limited menu – absolutely tasty – no substitutions – no reductions.This is located on Bajirao road in the heart of Pune and I wouldn’t have known the place if it was not for my Puneri husband who has nostalgic memories of the place like many other Punekars.The ambience is just of small joint, but then if you are looking for ambience, please head to their other branches – the new Wadeshwar at FC road or market yard or law college road or Baner Road.
I go here for paratha bhaji.. Chole aloo mix bhaji provided along with plain paratha.. The taste is incomparable.. Best place for family meal..
I had been there so many times from my childhood and the most imp part is the taste of idli chutney is same for more than 20 years.
They have very limited menu still all the items are really mouthwatering and delicious especially idli and tomato omelet is my favorite dish. They serve best in class filter coffee and it gives perfect feel of complete meal.
The ambience is not very eye catchy but its typical Puneri style.
Services are very quick and people are polite enough.

If one wish to have a healthy yet a delicious breakfast than this is the place. I ordered idli , sada Dosa and thalipeth . Idli was soft and fluffy very delicious. Dosa was crisp and the batter was fresh. Thalipeth was my favourite which was served with butter. Cost effective .
Super quick service on a busy Sunday morning. I was amazed ! We just sat, ordered and by the time I kept my purse away, onion uttapam and idli were on the table. No kidding !
It is probably because they had limited items on the menu and the orders were more or less the same.
Seats are however limited. So one might have to wait on a weekend. Everything else felt awesome. Prime location, reasonable prices, amazing taste.
This place offer's delicious food and the quality of food is really good...i visited this place many times and never faced a problem with anything..my most favorites dishes are idlis chatni and upma. Believe me that idli can melt in your mouth right away..😃😃

I visited this place few years back. It's top on m specially for idli. Place is very compact. I used to think that this is one of the wadeshwars but seems its different. They have limited menu, and we ate idli there. It's one of the older place in Pune, don't expect good ambience. If you are foodie and in Pune, you must visit this place.
I am visiting this place since almost 20-22 years now. Even my dad used to go there in his office days. Taste of idli and chatni is still the same as it was..superb quality..must visit place for sure.one request to the owner is to start accepting online orders ...so even if we cant visit, we can still taste it at home :)

Ever enthusiastic me with my enthusiastic family decided to go and explore & take darshan of maanache 5 Ganapati ! No better day than today, i.e., Tuesday to seek blessings from Bappa and get a good vibe of our Pune.
Post the darshan, we headed to #ShriWadeshwarBhuvan ( this place was predecided) on Bajirao Rd for some wholesome breakfast. I had heard a lot about this place especially the Idli’s & was very keen to try them. It is a pretty small place ( seating of 30 ppl - approx) - no ambience or anything specific, however a clean place. The service is quick. We quickly asked for Idli, plain dosa, thalipeeth , tea & coffee.
The Idlis were steaming hot, huge, soft and fluffy. It had a perfect texture ( nice grainy types- and yet not stodgy). Dosa was classic too. The dosa here is a good break from the typical ( just thin ones ) served at the regular udipi restaurants. The dosa was of a good thickness and yet had the crispness as well as the softness. Along with this they serve nice thick coconut chutney. The chutney has a right flavour of chillis and a little hint of coriander. Probably this is the only chutney which I really relished other than prepared by my mom.
Later we were served the thalipeeth. It was just superb. Lipsmacking and from the perfect balance of flavours it was evident that it was the real good Bhajani cha thalipeeth. Right level of spices along with some chopped onions in between & then it was roasted to perfection with oil. The thalipeeth was nice & little on the thicker side & yet had a nice crisp texture. Yumm. It was served with a chiplet of Amul ( honestly I would prefer ‘loni’- white butter) , small vati of sweet curd and chutney. Tea & coffee were okayish.
This place is open from 7:30 am until 11:30 am. I would certainly visit again for the idlis.
I'm just fan of this place. No ambiance, no big place. But food is worth every penny. Very compact menu. You should try Idly Chatni Atleast once in your life time. Amazingly these guys have kept the quality and taste exactly same for more than 15 years (As long as I know)!!!!!

This place is undoubtedly legendary. They offer very limited items unlike their other branches which offer a spread. But everything at this oldie is ah-mah-zing! I tried the dahi wada, the uttapam and the thalipeeth. Unbeatable taste. Uttapam was heavenly. Looking forward to trying the other things on their menu. Definitely recommended.

Today had the opportunity to have breakfast here… The Masala Dosa is just too good here; quite unlike the ones served at other Udupi restaurants.. Idlis were also good.. They don't serve Sambar with these; yet there's nothing to lose…
They give the coconut chutney in a greater quantity..
A hint of sour taste to the Dosa & Idli makes it taste extraordinary..
Suggestion to the owner if they're listening : Instead of the Coconut chutney please give us customers the green chutney (containing pudina, coriander & green chillies) which is a bit more hot (तिखट) than this one and definitely tastier than coconut one…

The stuffed Aloo Paratha was awesome! Adequate filling with thin cover.. Rarely you get to eat such ideal criteria of stuffed Paratha fulfilled…

I don't think Wadeshwar bhuvan needs any introduction to Punites. But this Wadeshwar is not that fancy outlet around suburb of Pune, but rather at core of Pune city on Bajirao road.
I'm probably eating at shukruwar peth branch for almost 20+ years! and there are many prople /admirors/ generation of families who still like/love to visit this extraordinary small restaurant.
I personally feel these restaurants are beyond reviews, but it still a process to rate a restaurant therefore this rating and review.
i generally order their Idli chutney which is flagship product, over years have tried their all prodicts and each and every product is very nice , tasty (even after 20 years, its still carries same taste) thats hats off to them!

Now this is called value for money!
This quaint little restaurant is located in the city centre surrounded by the rich cultural heritage. We walked down the tiny lanes in search of this breakfast place and were treated to some beautiful wooden architecture.
Ambience:
A complete no nonsense place, one sits at one of the small tables (probably sharing with other customers), eats and leaves quickly.
Food:
Five items only, like literally five food items and tea, coffee. Fresh food, served piping hot and in a very simplistic manner, no frills. The massive idlis were steaming as they came to our table. In addition the thalipeeth, served with chutney and sweet curd, and saada dosa were simple and satiating.
Drinks:
One cannot miss out on the filter coffee but it was not as rich as can be found in some other similar places. A good way to end the meal though. The waiter courteously offered to split the coffee into two cups, without us having to say anything.
Menu:
This is part the I found most interesting. They have three different menus for different times of the day. Each menu has a limited selection and is served only in the given time period. I've never come across such organisation of food items before.
Cost:
We paid Rs. 245 for two (idli+saada dosa+thalipeeth+coffee).

My favorite place since childhood. They have maintained quality & taste for so many years. 'Idali Chatani' & 'Kanda Uttapa' are the best dishes in Pune. Chatani tastes different and not like typical Shetty one. They serve unique 'Paratha Bhaji' in the evening time. Very tasty & filling.
Place is neat & clean. Only two negative things about hotel are. 1. They don,t serve Sambar as they do in their other outlets 2. Seating arrangement is not very comfortable. You feel like you are sitting in toy train.
Worth visiting again. Not in the noon. They are absolute Puneri & closed in the noon (Which I like too)

Favourite since my childhood..Starting from the idli,upma dosas to the paratha bhaji and dahiwada. Everything is just awesome. The quantity is good enough as a filling for each type of our meal in the day. The quality is always good as we always see them cleaning the whole place before they start in the morning and while closing at night.
Quality and quantity of food is very good...best place for people who are really hungry and want to eat semi-spicy food.
Restaurant closes around 8.30-9 PM...thts the only problem...
Otherwise it's a great place to start your day with south Indian food or you can have paratha's in the eve....I have tried aloo paratha really tasty

I remember spending my childhood eating Idli chutney and parathas here.
Idlis, Parathas, and thalipith are the best ones on the menu they offer. Ending the breakfast with the signature filter coffee is a pure bliss.
If you've been to the "new" ones, but not tried this one, do try.
I have been grown up while eating their idly. It used to cost 3.5 per plate. Most of the punekars will like it. I am sceptical about any of the south Indians.
Wadeshwar is very famous in the whole of Pune and love the way they serve customers....we enjoyed a lot and had super amazing steamy hot unique dishes.....
Oh My God!! What an amazing place. I've been there close to 40-50 times. Great food, quick service but it has a lot of rush on weekend mornings, and of course it is expected seeing the taste of the food. The idlis are soft and warm and the chutney is classic. It has been there for quite a while now. And you know you're not a Punekar if you've not visited this.

I've been here hundreds of times so far.
Firstly the only bad thing is that this place has no ambience whatsoever.
But, the food is perfect. Although only snacks are available, it's the best place to fulfill your south indian cravings.
But, this is actually the best if you take away the food. Quick service, and that's what i love. We usually take idli chatni from here and eat at home in piece.
Don't go here to spend hours chitchatting. Go for a quick bite or better to take away.

We normally buy idli chutney and eat at home. The idles are fresh from their large steamer. Size of idli is large. The chutney is thick. I normally sweeten it and add some yogurt or milk to make it thinner.
You get either uttapam or dosas never both in the morning. Changes daily.

Wadeshwar Bhuvan is a place which can never disappoint you, when it comes to taste. Their sincerity, genuineness towards their food is evident, once you start tasting their limited but absolutely delicious dishes.
Be it Idly chutney - softest n lightest idly one can ever get, Thalipeeth - whoever eats it, will recall the Thalipeeth made by Mom. Very tasty, very homely. And the best part is, they actually cook it once you order it. So it's literally a live counter. They provide Amul butter cube with it. Haah, घरचे लोणी instead of amul butter would have been just perfect.
Their dosa too is very soft, tasty made in pure ghee. And lastly their super delicious nescafe is a perfect end. It's a simple normal nescafe, but I dont know, it's just amazing. The quality of milk and the blend of milk, sugar n coffee together does the magic apparently. I have never left this place without having minimum 2 back to back cups of coffee. Ah, while writing this, i feel like having it now. 😁
On weekends, you always have to wait after 8.30am n they have first come first serve method. No specific managemant for waiting customers so better go early 😉.

This place has been around for decades on bajirao road and is the first and the original of the wadeshwar chain. In mornings you can get steaming hot idlis, utthapas. There are many people who prefer to carry out as the seating area is small and tends to get full pretty quickly. The thick coconut chutney they serve is world famous and consists of rich coconut, daal. You have to specially order the thick coconut chutney. For dinner there is an option from paratha bhaaji which includes a thick roti and spicy potato gravy cooked to perfection. It is more famous for morning breakfast and south Indian dishes.
Steaming idlies coming right from the steamer and are severed to customers, best chutney I have ever tasted in South Indian food till date, the place smells with the idli and dosa batter which I liked, reasonable price and good service, ambiance is ok.
MY FAVORITE PLACE FOR HOT STEAMING IDLIS.... I go there with 60 Rs in my wallet... 35 Rs for 2 big idlis, an extra bowl of chutney and a cup of tea....... a perfect breakfast...

A must go place for those who love Upma . The Upma is so soft the it melts in the mouth releasing all it's flavours. The chutney no doubt suits it the best . All other things on menu are also decent
Parathas. I love their aalu parathas. every time i visit this place i order the same dish and "extra bhaji" as they serve raaita with aalu paratha which is also good. they have maintained the taste and quality. this little place is surely a great deal :-)

not no mention about d ambience. .n needless to say..coz just by looking at d limited ...ultra limited menu u can't dare to talk about ambience. .
but for sure..i have been in love with d idli s rather I would say d steam idli they offer..u get thalipith as well ...n d upma..
u should not ask for d sambar as we all r used to eat by default with idli s n dosas..u will b strictly denied this demand coz they don't have this sambar item in their menu list.
Instead they offer normal chatani n thick chatani...n if u ask more ..rather demand more chatani..u will have to pay charges for it..This was something typical puneri culture I found out..sounds strange ..but true.

Visit hotel at 7:45pm for Idli, Kanda Uttapa, Tomato Omlet.
After 8pm Menu gets changed and then you can taste Paratha Bhaji and Fried rice as well.

the idlis here need sambar to eat but no option other than chatani
the idli dosa uttapa everytime gets stuck in my throat
you get uttapa in evenings and dosa in the morning
its crowded in morning so i prefer to take away

Took 5 plates steaming hot idlis with chutney...
At the outlet you will get the feel of being in pune or the owner a pakka punekar...
Go through the menu you will find two unique items, one is extra chutney and second is extra thick chutney.... This can be decoded by only a punekar....
The onion Uttappa and Thalpith is also must have dishes on the menu.
Uttappa is big, crispy and served hot with chutney only.
Thalpit is served with dash of Loni and sweet dahi wati. Nice brown n crispy....
In the evening they serve pulao as well... Never tried though but must be good...
Overall....
Value for money: really worth spending.

The original Wadeshwar, started decades ago. Still the best idlis, period. Their dosas are also fabulous, a tad on thicker side. No sambar here though!

It is very rarely that I come to this part of the city, but this Sunday was different. I was to come to Swargate along with my wife and so we planned our breakfast here. There was a nominal waiting time for dine in. But a huge line for take away. We quickly grabbed a sharing table and ordered my favourite Idly Chutney, my wife settled for a plate of Upma Chutney. We wanted more so ordered a nice crispy Onion Uttapa. The place is nice, fast service and amazing food.

Excellently good Idli, nice onion uttappa, realy fantastic bitterful tasty coffee- the way coffee lover expect it.
Accompanying coconut chatani was good but missing flavour of Chilli, which could make it excellent.

Shri Wadeshwar Bhuvan located in Natubag, Bajirao Road is authentic south indian serving small joint. It's quite old in this business. They also have big outlets on Law college road and FC road. This small joint provides awesome uttappa, idli chutney and filter coffee. Sambar is not served here. Rates are bit high ₹90 per Uttappa & ₹70 per idli The taste is good.

The Menu is limited, but the quality of each item is VERY HIGH. Every menu item is well made and rich in taste. Eating here always feels healthy and fulfilling.
Very good place for early breakfast, my fav is Idli and sabudana khichadi. They Don't serve sambar , but no regrets.
