The taste of food was amazing & good service too at affordable rates .
This is a nice restaurant. The ambience is relaxing and the staff is very well behaved. Almost too well behaved and friendly. Keep it up. Will surely visit soon.
Had been here on Saturday for lunch. We were a bit confused on whether we should go for Buffet, or whether we should go for Ala-Carte, since their buffet had only 2 starters - 1 Veg and 1 Non-veg. Finally we decided (Based on the server's recommendation) to go for buffet option. I must say we didn't regret that decision. They have a huuuuge spread of main course items to compensate their meager option of starters.
The starters consisted of Crispy Onion rings and Chilli Chicken.
The main course consisted of Chicken Kadhai, Thai Red curry chicken, Veg Fried rice, Steam rice, Dal Tadka, Malai Phirni, Assorted fruits (Pineapple, Watermelon, Papaya), Brocolli Salad, Penne Salad, Raita, Sprout Salad, Paneer Tikka Lababdar, Aloo Baingan, Mushroom Mutter, Veg Chilli Milli, Hot and Sour Chicken Soup, Sprouts, Iceberg Lettuce, Chicken Sausage Salad, Egg-Salsa salad, Chicken Chaat. We were also offered Paneer Tikka for my 3-year old son. Butter roti was served on the table.
The best dishes were Paneer Tikka, Chicken Kadhai, Thai Red curry, Mushroom mutter (though it contained less salt), Chicken sausage salad, egg-salsa salad and Paneer Tikka dry.
Overall it was a great experience. The only negative point (apart from only 2 starters) was that they charge 18% GST even on food instead of the norml 5%, which shouldn't be the case.
Will definitely visit again - with a larger group

Good food ( prawns fried rice. Maharashtrian chicken sukkah & coriander flavored chicken soup.)
Tangerine is a nice and cozy restaurant at ground floor of Hotel Sagar Plaza, just beside SGS mall.
Often it is not crowded, and you can have a nice calm moment with your love ones.
Good place around camp for family weekend .. I've of the oldest hotels serving authentic quality picks of Indian appetite.. plus the place is silent and serene
Best hotel to visit once in camp area ... We loved the lemon coriander soup as well as paneer makhani which was good....You Must visit this place once
This place was truly a delight. We ordered cream of Chicken, half Chicken Tandoor and Butter chicken. The chicken was wonderfully tender and it melted in our mouth. The taste was absolutely mind blowing. I would definitely recommend the chicken tandoor.
Visited this place for lunch which is located in camp area right opposite to sgs mall.
Restaurant is located inside hotel sagar plaza.
Ambiance here is amazing with comfortable seating arrangement.
Staff was polite and humble
We ordered,
Dal makhani-
Dal tadaka-
Butter Roti-
Jeera rice-
Food was well prepared, looking forward to visit this place soon.
It's a hidden place, lovely food. It feels like a business place, and it is actually. Buffet menu is good,
The place can be visited just once for fun! Explorers can try out. Planners don't.
Love their ambience and food as well. Guys visit this place for their awesome buffet..
Love this place for tea and sandwiches as it is open 24x7.

They have a great variety of food to choose from. Ordered chicken stroggenoff and a mutton combo meal. Chicken was excellent and the mutton meal was good but felt it was hard. Service was nice as well.

We hated it when we ended up landing at a "Hotel Restaurant"! It was almost 12 AM and most restaurants had closed in that area and we could find only this and a few other open, so we chose this but we're disappointed to enter a typical hotel and sit by the lobby.
But boy the Food! Damn good! And even the service seemed decent. We were there for almost 3 hours and they were all courteous and happy to serve us!
So they had this "round the clock menu" which had only like 10-12 options to order from, but once the food came, we were satisfied!
Food- Veg Biryani- Amazing quantity and good taste, Brownie with Icecream- Quantity could have been better, was pretty good otherwise!
Place located near SGS Mall.A fine restaurant with good ambience. This was bookmarked on my list since long time.
Decided to give it a try since it was just added to Zomato Gold offerings.
For starters we had Chicken Satay which was served with peanut sauce.Good starters, something which I have not had before. The peanut sauce too good.
For main course they have very limited options to go for chicken...so we ordered Chooza Khaas which was made in chefs specials spices.Good amount of pieces and fresh and properly cooked chicken though I would have liked the gravy to be a bit more thin but the taste was too good.
Garlic nan was aslo prepared nicely.
The service could have been better though but still it was good.

Tangerine is a different dining section in Hotel Sagar Plaza for Ala Carte and buffet system which is operational 24 hrs.
Food served is mainly based on North Indian, Mughlai, Chinese and Continental cuisines.
Starters:-
1. Chicken Aalishan- Chicken stuffed with kheema and topped with herbs & cheese. It was grilled in tandoor and had egg coating which overall gave a good taste..
2. Vermicelli Veg Cheese Kebabs- Croquettes with filling of mashed potato and spices rolled in vermicelli and deep fried to a deep sun shine yellow color served with mint chutney. Had a nice taste but i felt the oilyness of the kebabs should be reduced.
Mains:-
1. Chicken Kalwan- Kalwan or curry is basically a homely style preparation of chicken made by using simple various homemade spices like garam masala, chillies, coconut, garlic cloves, ginger etc. Kalwan served here was topped with coriander and perfect in taste as expected.Chicken used in kalwan was juicy and fresh. However the amount of oil used should be decreaed a bit.
2. Mutton (Gosht) Bhuna- A traditional Indian recipe of lamb gravy made with tender meat, spices, fresh fenugreek leaves. The bhuna part consists of pan frying the meat with spices without adding water. Had succulent flavours of indian spices which i felt were overshadowed by excess use of onions.
Both the mains went well with the accompanied hot Rotis and Naan.
Deserts:-
1. Brownie With Vanilla Ice Cream- Hot chocolate brownie served with vanilla ice cream was mouth wateringly delicious in taste. Aroma of molten chocolate and fizzy sound of frozen ice cream was making it irresistable.
2. Phirni- Indian sweet dish made from thickened milk and ground rice. Was perfect on sweetness level and delicious in taste.
3. Caramel Custard- Perfectly set dessert made from eggs, sugar and milk with a layer of soft caramel on top. Was nice in taste.
Overall:-
1. Food is totally VFM !!
2. They also have buffet options for breakfast (399+ tax), lunch (499+ tax) and dinner (599+ tax)
3. They have huge spread of cuisines (Soups, Salads, Starters, Mains & Deserts) to choose from.
4. Ambience and seating arangement is good.
5. Prompt Service

Tangerine
Tangerine is a in house a la carte and buffet based restaurant located in sagar plaza hotel which is nearly 3 decades old and they operate 24 X 7. They serve Mughlai, Continental, Chinese and North Indian cuisines. The ambiance of this place is simple and elegant. They do have a dedicated bar named chequered flag which is a cosy place to have drinks and watch the currently playing FIFA world cup matches. They do have some amazing and unbelievable offers like selected veg starters @ Rs 149 inclusive of taxes and selected non-veg starters @ Rs 199 inclusive of taxes. Some exciting offer’s on Beers and IMFL are also available at chequered flag and are really worth a try. Sagar plaza is located in a prime area in the hearty of city’s commercial and business area and had a good connectivity to Pune airport, Pune station and nearby market area like MG Road. I visited this place to try out their buffet.
The spread was huge with around 25 plus option including, salads, soups, starters, main course and desserts. I will be focusing on few dishes for my experience share purpose.
Starters
Chicken Thai Pai: Boneless chicken chunks tossed in thai chilli and garlic based sauce along with bell pepers and onion was good in taste, the sauce was sweet-sour in taste and well balanced. Our meal started on a good note! #Recommended
Aalishan Chicken: Medium spicy chicken kheema stuffed inside a slightly thick coating of chicken, and then grilled in tandoor was superb in taste, it was topped with grated cheese. #Highlyrecommended
Vermicilli Cheese & Veg Kebabs: It was a regular veg kebab coated with vermicelli, medium spicy in taste, however there was no cheese in the same. It was served along with mint chuntney which was slightly tangy and the kebabs were slightly oily than usual.
Chicken Tandoori: Chicken leg pieces marinated in a flavorful masala was truly delicious, it was not done in the typical red colored tandoor masala and was done in chef’s special spices, it was properly marinated and the chicken was cooked to perfection. #Highlyrecommended
Veg Spring Roll: Veg spring rolls with medium spicy stuffing was good in taste however it was slightly oily, I also felt that the stuffing should have been bit more spicy, it was served along with schezwan chutney which was good in taste.
Mains
Chicken Kalwan: A homely style prepared chicken curry, chicken kalwan prepared in ginger, garlic, onion, and ground spices base was good in taste. The rassa was properly blended, medium spicy in taste and was thin in consistency. It went well along with butter roti.
Chicken Biryani: Chicken piece marinated with medium spicy masala along with medium sized rice grain was good in taste, the chicken pieces were well cooked and the biryani was aromatic. A typical restaurant style biryani which was properly done, no complaints in the same. Recommended
Desserts
Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream: The chocolate brownie was served hot along with a dollop of vanilla ice cream; it was fudgy, chocolatey and nicely done. #Recommended
Bread Butter Pudding: The bread pudding was soft, fluffy, nicely baked, was not too sweet and had the perfect texture. It was topped with fresh cream. #Recommended
Phirni: A sweet pudding made from rice was superbly done, it had a hint of cardamom, it was thick and rich in taste, and the rice was cooked to perfection and was topped with dry fruits. #Highlyrecommended
Overall: Service was prompt, restaurant was hygienic. Sagar plaza offers unlimited buffet starting from @ Rs 399+ tax for breakfast with around 20 option, @ Rs 499 +tax for lunch and @ Rs 599 + tax for dinner with around 25 option and seems to be a good deal. This place has a lot of potential to grow. Special thanks to Mr Sameer for hosting us and Chef Amin for taking the feedback and suggestions on a positive note.
Tangerine a buffet and ala cart restaurant located in sagar plaza, the ambience of this place is simpe and pretty good, the place serves north Indian chinese, continental, mughlai cuisine, here are the dishes which i tried here:
1)CHICKEN THAI PIE:This dish consisted of boneless chicken pieces, the chicken pieces were tossed in a sweet thai sauce, the chicken was well cooked and the taste of the dish was fine.
2)CHICKEN ALISHAN:This was a spicy chicken roulade, topped with cheese the taste was good and the moderate amount of cheese topped on it lifted the taste of the dish.
3)TANDOORI CHICKEN:The marination of tandoori chicken was done very well, the chicken was soft and flavorfull but the only drawback was that the chicken was oily.
4)MUTTON BHUNA:The dish had a thick onion based gravy, the mutton was perfectly cooked but the gravy didn't taste that good because of the excess quantity of onions.
5)MALVANI CHICKEN:This was home style chicken, the gravy tasted decent and the chicken was nicely cooked.
6)DAL TADKA:This was just delicious simple home style dal given a chilly tadka, the taste was good and tingled the tastebuds.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
7)DOUBLE KA MEETHA:This was a bread pudding topped with cream and cheery, the balance of the sweetness was done well in this dessert and we enjoyed this dessert alot.
8)PHIRNI:This was a rice pudding with cardemom (eliachi) flavor, the rice in this dish was cooked well and the balancing between the sweetness of sugar and cardemom(eliachi) flavor was done very well.
9)BROWNIE WITH ICE-CREAM:The brownie was soft and fluffy topped with choclate sauce served with vanilla ice-cream which was also topped with choclate sauce, the brownie was really good and the ice-cream with it came well on the palate

Tangerine has the best, most succulent kebabs ever! The ambience is amazing too. A must visit if you’re in Pune. Despite trying so many other places, I go back to Tangerine every time. Love their food and service!
Beautiful place and Amazing Food. Mainly the food is mouth watering.we ordered Roast chicken with pepper sauce it was superb The buffet spread was also good.will recommend to my office collueg also.Thank you so much keep it up☺
Well the food here is good or a star above good. Neither too spicy nor too feeka. A bit expensive but it's ok with the quality of food provided. A star extra for the service. Overall a good family restaurant. And also the hotel..nice place to stay!
This is one of the oldest lunch destinations in Pune for me. Right from 93 onwards. It's basically the 24 hr coffee shop reinvented. The food is awesome. Must tried are the mutton roganjosh, chicken Stroganoff and anything in the club sandwiches ( non veg only)
Sagar Plaza has definitely maintained it's standards some last century. And yes the breakfast buffet is fabulous. Beats the Aurora Towers buffet....
Nice place. Good ambience. Staff was also nice. Served well when needed. Salads (non-veg) were truly awesome. I will go again for those three chicken salads for sure. Options were limited but tasty. Butter nun was soft and fresh. Desserts were there, fruit custurd was the best. Should have more dessert I think. But, for Rs. 480/- it is more than enough we can expect. All over good experience.
No frills. Good food. That's what you get at tangerine. Located at Sagar plaza pune. This restaurant has been around since a long time. I have visited this place many a times but only recently am I writing a review. The place is pretty small and they do have a buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner with limited choices. But the food that they put up sure packs the right flavours and leaves you satisfies. Choices are limited but as I said I have never been disappointed be it breakfast or lunch or dinner.
We wanted to quick buffet lunch and we were close to MG road hence we decided to try Tangerine, a restaurant within Sagar Plaza hotel close to SGS mall, the vegetarian buffet was selected, though the entire assortment were limited but the food did not disappoint us, the service was also great 👌, quite economical at 450 bucks including taxes!
Had a chance to dine at Tangerine on sunday as a senior person chose this location for sake of their convenience.
We opted for Lunch Buffet as the a la carte options didn't get a consensus amongst us.
The best part about the buffet were the salads, pretty inviting and good tasting as well (actually the reason we were convinced to go for buffet over other choice). But ..thats about it, everything else right from only 1 starter of Corn Cheese roll, soups, main course and desserts were just ok.
3.5/5
Something about the service, attentive and prompt, it was almost like there was telepathic communication, especially from one gentleman called Pandit. Keep up the good work.
3.5/5
Ambience, we were seated in a nice cozy corner with a view of the pool and also lobby. Nice, bright and comfortable.

I had buffet lunch here during my stay at Sagar Plaza Hotel. I was sceptical regarding the taste of food initially. But my ambiguity changed to positive reinforcement after I had the first bite. The non veg salads were too good. Chicken sausage salad, chicken chaat and egg salad were damn tasty. For the main course, chicken fried rice was good, chilli chicken could use some more chillies. Murgh handi was spicy and delicious. A 500 rupees buffet was indeed value for money. Overall experience was very satisfactory.
Went to this hotel for lunch. The experience was much better than expected. We took the buffet lunch at the hotel. The buffet spread offers a lot as compared to its price.
The buffet included soups, main course, salads, desserts and rice. Only part that was disappointing that they did not offer any starters. Only starter offered in the buffet was a veg crispy like starter. However deserts though were absolutely fantastic.
Taste wise food was amazing. Service was excellent. Not much rush so you can sit calmly and enjoy. Most importantly very reasonable.
All in all very good experience.
The placement of this Restaurant is a bit weird. One can notice that the Sagar Plaza lobby coincides with the Restaurant, which is a bit off putting. The food in itself was decent but they can give more desserts in the price that they are charging. There was like a fruit bowl, ice cream and Kheer. Don't we like see that at home? In short. Desserts Please!
Had a lovely time dining at this place. Tangerie just won us with the quality of their food. Special mentions goes to the chicken salad, full of flavours.. And the souffle was light, fluffy and had just the right amount of sweetness.. Had a great time and dining experience..
Team lunch planning for my team is toughest thing to do , people here are hard core non vegetarian and too much choosy about food taste and variety of menu. I found out this place , not yet tried and decided to go to some new place for team lunch.
Ambiance is cool , place is not so crowdy. You can sit comfortably and eat peacefully.
Food quality was superb , awesome..each and every dish was tasty. There were limited options on buffet but ..everything was fantastic. Tomato soup, salads, rayta, paneer makhni, mixveg, daal-rice ..everything was super awesome. Pasta was the most loved dish in today's lunch. In desserts, they were having jalebi ...crispy and fresh..which turned out best thing to have after such delicious lunch. Service was good, staff was friendly and cooperative. Would definitely recommend this place !
Been here for dinner today with Pramod Pawar ...the food was really good.. Three starters , pasta veg n non veg Currey with naans and roti , rice preprations, fruit cuts, chocolate mousse and honey flat noddels..with pineapple juice.
the ambience is good .. Will rate five star for service... Stuff is really humble polite and quick... Taste of food is also good... Pocket friendly too
Probably the most underrated place in Pune. Limited options in buffet as 2-3 nonveg& 2-3 veg starters. The same goes for main course.
Food quality is excellent. Sweets are delicious & pocket friendly.
Very Simple and Sweet restaurant in Hotel Sagar Plaza, Opp. SGS vehicle exit gate.
Pocket friendly buffet, delicious taste and simple yet good spread.
Nice Ambience. As the name says tangerine, there are artificial oranges everywhere!!! They have beautiful and vry unique Hot Air Balloon Chandiliers and i just love it!
Not to miss - Chicken fingers, Caramel Noodles, Methi Malai Mutter, Roganjosh, Dahi Wada, Garam Jalebi and etc...
Service is something they should work upon.
Visited Sagar Plaza after 10-11years! Wasn't a good impression last time around , but over a period of time things did change for good. The ambience okayish not that great as compared to any other place. The foods good for sure, the buffet menu was satisfying and it's worth. In 3 words Small simple & sweet.
What a lovely ambiance and warm welcome by the waiters.
Ordered some beer, though they have less options for that.
Some of us ordered coffee which was real good.
Chicken biryani was one of the best I ever tasted.
But the best was still to come and that was Chicken Stroganoff. It was too delicious.
Chocolate brownie with ice cream was okay but caramel custard was the worst of its own kind.
Very good restaurant with nice food, and down to earth people. They have maintained the same standards of cooking over the years and have been even able to retain some of their flavours distinctly...
One of the finest restaurant in the area. The food is USP whereas staff is really polite and courteous. I will recommend everyone to visit this place once.
