Focusing on European and Modern Indian Cuisine, Kopp in Koregaon Park is an extremely delightful one. Not just are the interiors fabulous, I had a great time dining here!
The very first thing that one notices while being here is the ambience, which is all about a plethora of eye-pleasing colours showcased on pipes. Well, the restaurant has been awarded for the best in architecture (ambience), which in itself speaks oodles about the space.
The interiors, to the food, the place stands out amongst tons of other places surrounding it. Kopp’s head chef Kanishka Kamat is a meat lover and has designed a lot of dishes accordingly. Well, here’s the best part – Every four months the menu is shuffled, well talk about variety!
I was invited for the new menu tasting. So, let’s move to what I ate:-
Beginning with Drinks,
Frozen coconut margarita - Shredded coconut, agave spirit and lime is all the essence of this drink. The Coconutty flavour definitely stands out and one long sip makes you instantly think of the beaches. Not kidding!
Sangria - This red wine sangria has flavours of cabinet shiraz red wine and cut apples on the top. The fruit gives a great after-taste. Just like all good places serve it, one can never go wrong with this one!
Coffee chocolate frappe – Coffee and Whiskey can never disappoint! The taste of coffee and whiskey definitely overpowers the taste of chocolate. The whipped cream of top is a charmer for sure.
Vanilla beer cram – This was a beer based cocktail which had a combination taste of vanilla and beer. Vanilla lovers should give this a try for sure!
Starters/Appetizers
Paprika chilli prawns - These Pan fried prawns make for a super spicy dish and is an excellent choice for spicy food lovers. Flame tossed prawns made in spicy paprika chilli puree and served with poppadums, the prawns were cooked well and tasted heavenly!
Paprika chilli & guava - This had the taste of paprika chilli and guava with flavours perfectly balanced. Covered with a cone waffle, this is an unusual and tasty option.
Goan squid chilli fry - Squids tossed in chilli sauce, good taste!
Thai pineapple & peanut coal smoked chicken kebab – Served with Thai chilli peanut sauce, unusual but great dish! Pineapple and peanut coated smoked chicken kebabs made a nice smoky flavor, great sauce!
Cottage cheese seekh kebab - Soft kebabs in chilli sauce, balanced with the flavours of Bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes. A regular starter one can never go wrong with. If you don’t like to experiment much, stick to this one.
Karkhana Flame Roasted Grilled Chicken : The roasted chicken was well made, beautifully marinated and had an amazing texture and taste to it. It was served with garlic bread.
Bannocks - Flatbreads with toppings :-
Tandoor Roasted Cottage Cheese & spicy mixed vegetables – This dish is sure to take your taste buds on a ride! Spicy mixed vegetables and tandoor roasted cottage cheese gives out a great flavour of tandoor in a flatbread. Fresh vegetables add to the taste!
Grilled beetroot, feta mousse, roasted tomatoes, onions, arugula – This one is a great choice for someone watching the calories. Grilled beetroot, feta mousse, tomatoes, onions and arugula make for delish toppings!
Kopp Burgers –
Once you have the burgers here, you will be coming back every time! Read on to know what we had:-
Chicken served with potato wedges and house salad, with an amazing, amazing taste. The chicken is amazingly cooked, and kheema just adds all the more flavor.
Clay Oven Roasted Chicken Breast, topped with our house Chilly Sauce, Chicken Kheema & Cheddar Cheese Sauce – Roasted chicken in a Clay oven, topped with chilly sauce, chicken kheema & cheddar cheese sauce, this one has the goodness of Chicken along with perfect flavors; Served with potato wedges and house salad, with amazingly fresh fillings. Strongly recommended this one!
Mains :-
Chicken Biryani : Well cooked chicken biryani with enough serving for two! Served with raita, this one was served hot, and had a nice taste!
Desserts
Ending with the best, the desserts here are as amazing as the meals.
Passion Fruit Cheesecake – Great flavors of Passionfruit with Pineapple Granita.
Tiramisu Panacotta & silky golden sugar candy floss - A nice dessert, not very sweet, amazing flavours, and a mild, sweet taste.
Dark Chocolate Cigars – This is one of the signature desserts at Kopp and highly recommended too! Love how they look, made up of thick chocolate and filled in with mousse.
Paprika Chilli Guava Ice-cream was really amazing with a perfect guava taste with the spice of paprika.
Coffee Rum & Dark Chocolate is again the goodness of rum, hand in hand with the bitterness of dark chocolate. Must try!
Phew! We’ve had a huge assortment of dishes and desserts, and I am sure you will have a nice experience too. Loved the great vibe and interiors, good place for families and couples alike. Thank you Ms.Nikita Lodha for hosting us, I had a great time! Loved the curate menu and the diversity of dishes, and the well-mannered staff! Will definitely come back for more!
