Sigree, one of the most famous buffet places in Pune and currently they are hosting "Street Feast" festival. The whole purpose of this festival is to sophisticate the street food from the likes of Delhi, Mumbai, Rajashthan and so on and serve it on our plates.
Ambiance: Very rustic and beautiful, it gives you a nice royal feel when you enter. The classic combination of brown and white with yellowish lights, perfect family place indeed. Sitting is very cozy and comfortable. No music so you can enjoy the meal and chat with your partner\family. Overall good if you are in a mood of chit chat with great food served directly on to your table.
Service: Abhishek is the guy we interacted with. He's managing the place and very friendly, talkative, polite. Gave good suggestions for mocktails. He also gave us brief idea about the Street Feast they are hosting and what type of menu is there. Serving time of on trays is also good, we received nice warm food on the table that too quick. Overall, great experience and keep up the good work.
Food: It was my 4th visit to Sigree and the best one compared to last 3, the choices are more, more variety of food, quality of the food was excellent. Street food is always cool and when you can have a variety of food from different regions of India in a single plate, nothing else will please the palate.
Mocktails:
1. Basil and Pineapple swirls - Pineapple juice, chunks of pineapple, lime and fresh basil. Perfect taste, little bit on a sweeter side. Loved it.
2. Jal jeera Mojito - All time favorite Mojito mixed with desi jal jeera and mint, very refreshing indeed.
Kick off:
1. Pani puri - Suji puri's served with aloo and shev. Perfect combination of sweet tamarind water and minty green water.
2. Palak ki chaat - PERFECT !! Spinach leaf, deep fried, topped with sweet chutney, green chutney. chopped onions and tomatoes with shev. Just melted on the tongue, such a perfect dish this one is.
3. Onion pakoda - Crispy, home made style onion pakoda topped with chaat masala, sweet and spicy chutney and shev.
4. Dahi Bhalle - WOW !! So soft, little wada topped with lot of sweet and salty curd and different chutyney's. This one is to die for along with Palak chaat.
5. Mutton seekh kabab - Very north flavors, meat perfectly cooked, very juicy and soft, melt in a mouth texture. Loved it.
6. Bengali chicken fry - Crispy chicken, deep fried, little salty and topped with masala. Simple yet insanely delicious. Must try !!
7. Grilled pineapple - Simple, grilled pineapple, perfect taste breaker to switch from chaat to hardcore meat.
8. Fried eggs - WOW !! This was a surprise to us, boiled eggs deep fried with the special coating all over it. This one was again delicious and something very different.
9. Kheema samosa - All the way from Delhi, very thin coating, perfectly fried and meat cooked nicely. Very delicious. One of the best dishes of the day.
10. Patrani macchi - DISH OF THE DAY !! Fish perfectly steamed inside banana leaf, marinated only with little salt and coriander and topped with gritted coconut. This one is simply out of this world. I can literally eat it on every single day of my life, it is that good.
11. Prawns koliwada - Fresh prawns, prepared in traditional koliwada style recipe, cumin seeds and garam masala taste was very evident in coating. Another delicious dish.
12. Gobi fry - This one is little different than what you get in the other places. No corn starch is used so the cauliflower is not that crispy, it's bit on a softer side even after the deep fry. Mixed with fresh curry leaves and some onions.
13. Onion Kachori - Another masterpiece, onion kachori, perfectly fried and topped with all the chaat ingredients like masala, sweet and spicy chutney. Lots of onions all over the plate and loved it. This one is definitely for onion lovers.
Main:
After so much heavy dosage of the starters, we opted not to go with main but still tasted spoon full of the curries. Couldn't control the aroma when we visited the mains counter.
1. Mutton Vindaloo - Perfectly prepared mutton in Goan vindaloo style. Soft and melt in a mouth meat chunks in a very aromatic thick curry. Best curry of the day !!
2. Chicken Lucknowi Korma - Rich cashew gravy, nawabi style preparation. Chicken nicely cooked and gravy was really nice.

4. Prawns Kadhai - Kadhai gravy, very thick, lots of coriander seeds and garam masla, delicious along with biryani.
5. Chicken biryani - Very aromatic, chicken cooked perfectly, spiced perfectly. Delicious.
Desserts:
1. Rice Payasam - Rice kheer, prepared in Kerala style. Delicious, perfectly sweet and topped with malai.

3. Assorted creams - Whipped cream with chocolate twill and flavors like mango, strawberry and most delicious and unique betel leaf.
4. Chocolate Swiss roll - Very soft, chocolate flavor in every single bite, melt in a mouth texture.
